I have been to Laconia over 22 years ago and really enjoyed the ride there and the atmosphere. A few thing that the police officer don't like is anyone pissing on the side of the road and anyone riding without any glasses on for safety. You can ride without a helmet but I find at high speed it would be safer to have it on.

Looks like some older dates on this thread, but I'll see how it goes. I primarily ride Canada(my next trip is to Northern Quebec, beautiful back country). I've wridden England, bit of Europe, New York State, Texas down to Corpus. Working my bike jones for over 30 years. It's nice to see over the years more women taking up the pastime . Primarily a solo rider, I've found the natives wherever I go find me more approachable and meet more people that way. Drive a cage when I have too. Just joined Lyla this week and enjoying the people.

Hello all, I'm new to this site and have to post something. I started riding small dirt bikes in 1981 and bought my first in 1984. It was a 1983 Honda V45 Interceptor. The interest rate on the loan was 23%; young and dumb but I had fun. I'm still riding but on a 1982 Honda CBX and I still love it. Ride safe everyone.

Last July some buddies and I went on a ride in New Hampshire and stayed around a town called Conway. From there we traveled East, South West and finally North to Maine. One thing I can say is that they have beautiful roads and parks. We stayed there for 4 days. Another ride I enjoyed more locally was going to Brockville, we enjoyed ordering fish and chips from Don's Fish And Chips. The only inconvenience was that it was take out only but the park/boat docks are not far.

Hello Motorcycle Enthusiasts: I have recently gone to Isle aux Coudres in Charlevoix, Qc and it was an amazing trip. The ride from Ottawa to Quebec City was approx. 5 hours. Quebec City to Isle aux Coudres was 1.5 hours. There was free ferry ....... running every 30 min. Accommodations are amazing... $65/night. We could organize a ride once we have good riding weather in 2015. Any comments ? PS Another option would be to go to the Cabot Trails... on the way there, we may also want to meet some of the more exotic East Coast courtesans !

I'm excited to announce that in 2-3 weeks I will finally be a new rider. I've been taking about it for years, now I'm buckling down and buying a bike. I'm looking at a '05 boulevard c50t that is black with leather saddle bags. I'm so amped to get into the wind finally! If I find something else I'll be sure to update, and pics will come when I finalize the papers

This winter has been a long and slow one, 20 year record has been set . lets all hope this summer is the same, a 20 year record for sun, heat and fun. Been riding for 25 years .A gsxr 750 has been my fun for the last few years. Are there any more sport bike riders ? I like riding up at calabogie ,where do you like to ride in the Ottawa and surrounding areas ?

I began legally riding in '85. Went from an enduro to the Honda 1000 intercepter. I learned a few things very quickly, who knew you didn't steer it the same way? I've had a few bikes since and now I'm on my retirement bike. Harley Davidson Ultra Classic. My Lazy Boy on wheels as I so affectionally call it.

That's interesting Notch. My old 750 Virago was an easy bike to ride. I find the Kawasaki smooth (especially on the highway) and comfortable. The only times I feel challenged is when making a tight turn at low speed and picking the bike up when it's down (which I actually managed once). Oh, yeah, backing up on an incline - especially on gravel.
