Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen, This is episode 20 of this year's journey of 43 (started in late June). They say that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. I hope this is true - if what really happened comes back, I am going to be in big trouble. I would love to provide all the details but frankly, I am still foggy. This past weekend in Vegas gave me a glimpse of what "party like a rock star" really means. So this was supposed to be a professional development conference weekend and it started that way. The first night consisted of meeting colleagues, smoking cigars, having a few drinks and then getting ready for day 2. Day 2 work-wise was boring. A few ideas. A few new contacts. One of those contacts introduced me to a few other people and this led to a party, post-reception at Planet Hollywood. The party at Prive then flowed into a limo to Spearmint Rhino - a massive strip club, open 24 hours a day, with over 250 girls working inside. This is where it gets interesting. We get a big champagne room and the four guys and 2 girls each get a stripper - we share a lap dance merry-go-round for 3 hours. There is nothing hotter than watching a girl get a lap dance. This clicks up at $400 an hour per girl (6x3x400 plus tips) plus something like $1800 in drinks. Lots of smoke, some of it cigar. The manager keeps coming in to make sure we are having a great time. He comps us $1000 bucks in chips and we are poured into another limo out the back with 3 girls and head to Wynn's. It takes 12 minutes to blow the chips. The 3 professionals call 3 of their friends and they join us in the suite where my damage deposit was stretched. The rate is $2k a piece for 8 hours. The party host pays cash in Benjamins. We go through 9 cans of whipped cream, 7 bottles of wines, a basket of cherries and another of strawberries, 6 dozen condoms, and at least a litre of lube. So, the highlight for me was a foursome with me getting a blowjob, giving cunnilingus, and a crazy Hungarian girl going to town in my ass with a strap-on. I came so hard, I think I was heard at the Roulette Wheel. None of us made it to the morning sessions. Or the afternoon sessions. We had breakfast at the Hilton on Paradise Road. How we got there - who knows? Will I be back - hell yeah, it's Vegas, baby. What was the total? F@##ed if I know but it had to be in the five figures. Can Ottawa do better? You up for a challenge?

I know the language was a little graphic, but too often people don’t think about the experience from all perspectives. I for one, worry about the health risks she is exposed to, especially if she has little ones to care for. Her willingness to fight in the trenches is amazing and I feel shows true inner strength. Right now, she is handling her business the way she feels it needs to be handled. But I also know what that kind of traffic can do in the long run to someone’s spirit. Once the spirit is broken, that is when a woman becomes vulnerable to a host of self destructive behaviors’. For some, its substance abuse, for others it is a deep seated self loathing that permeates every pore of a woman’s body. By the time this happens, those that contributed have moved on to the next BBBJ Queen. She is left alone. Clients have no idea the long term ramifications of this industry on every aspect of an SP, and it’s mainly the negative that lingers and is near impossible to eradicate. I have spent years working with women just like Eve, and every one of them, no exceptions, went thru the same process at some point. The day of internal reckoning will come, and she will remember this time with mixed emotions. It will be remembered fondly as the time she took control and fixed things. Then the memories of the clients that were good to her and made her feel human, accepted. Next she will remember the feelings that the faceless, those that she has had to block out, left her with. The feelings of being used, of being disposable will come with time. I have yet to meet an SP that didn’t have this cross their hearts at one time or another, and unless they have an incredible support system it will remain and tarnish every relationship they will ever get involved in, regardless of how healthy it is. I get tired of this business being so one sided. The only people that truly understand what SP’s go thru are other SP’s and those that are involved with them on an emotionally intimate basis. Clients have no clue what this business can do to our bodies, our minds and our souls. I just hope that all consider this the next time an “Eve” comes along. Would like to see a woman you loved go thru what she is right now? Catherine
