There are a number of things wrong with that article: speaking for sex workers, demonizing clients, wrongheaded john-shaming and rehabilitation campaigns, reinforcing the idea that sex workers are commodities to be bought and sold, etc. They seem have taken as a given that "it is not OK to buy sex" and then worked from there. I wish they had given some kind of justification for that premise so there could actually be the dialogue that they purport to want. It's hard to talk with someone when their starting position is "you're wrong and awful."

I am not a girl. I am not for sale; my services are. You don't buy your hairdresser, you pay for their services. Also, what is a "real" man? This whole campaign has irritated me from day one, when Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher started it. The men they used in their campaigns had an awful track record of misogyny - not very "real" men themselves. If these folks in Sudbury are having issues with finding condoms and syringes in their backyards, they might want to address THAT. It may not just be sexworkers utilizing those areas but also an issue of homelessness and addiction.

I often stay in nice hotels with an onsite pool. Yet I hardly ever take advantage of this and go enjoy myself. I think that would make for a really fun incall. Being with someone that enjoys splashing around, and waterplay as much as I do. This would be good for a 90 minute or longer sessions. Start off with some fun in the pool, hopefully there are no onlookers or anyone to walk in and spoil it. Then go back to the room. Have a hot soapy shower to eliminate pool chemicals :). Then over to the bed for some oral, maybe a massage, some sex, some more sex, even more sex, collapse from exhaustion. Nap time. :) Maybe a little cuddle or snuggle. Mmmmmmmmmmmm........................ I love to daydream

Still not feeling up 100% yet. Was sick last week for four days. Felt better by Thursday and then on Sunday it hit again like like a vengeance and I've been pretty much out of commission since then. Going for my first walk out of the house since Monday!

I'm convinced it's the way of the future, and there is a huge market ripe for it. Maybe if I ever get too old to be an SP, I can run a stable of male SPs. Mature, experienced, down-to-earth types. And, of course, I'd pay strict attention to quality control.

So tonight I was supposed to meet up with an SP, however when I was almost to her location she told me that she was really tired and needed to take a 2 hour nap and that I should text her around 10, okay that's pretty annoying but whatever I'll just head to barbs it's nearby, get myself warmed up a little bit. I sit there for a bit, some nice floor shows. I was initially approached by a young girl named Rosalita, who was very aggressively trying to get me to go with her. I wasn't ready to go back yet. After a little while and being approached a couple more times, I decided to go back for a dance with a nice french girl from montreal. After a quite uneventful dance where she barely did more than just stand there (not joking) I decided to try my luck elsewhere thinking this night probably is a bust. Then I decided to try out another girl from Montreal who was quite amazing. Her name was chanel I believe. A few dances from her and I'm starting to think this night might be getting better. So now I am back sitting at the stage, it's 10 and the SP isn't responding, I wait a while and nothing. Then I am approached again by the lovely Rosalita. She convinces me this time to go with her, and wow was it worth it. This girl blew my mind. Part of me regrets not going with her immediately after coming in, but if I had I probably would have spent twice the amount I did, and I was back there with her for over an hour. But it was worth every damn penny. So I spent the cash for the SP on Rosalita, I'm now on my way home broke but happy, a little disappointed I didn't get exactly what I was looking for out of this night. Suddenly around 11:20 I get a text from her saying "hey baby". Sorry baby, Too late.

That's unfortunate, and gross. But there are two different issues at play here: sex work, and the crimes of trespassing and littering. I think that they needn't be intertwined. I can't say for certain, but I would expect that fear of prosecution from police and an inability to work in well-lit, public areas has led street workers to take refuge in these dark, private areas. If anything, a new police crackdown on the clients of these workers (or, more likely, the workers themselves!) will force more of them away from the streets and into places that are bad for residents (due to the issues above) and bad for the workers (It seems much more dangerous to be alone in a dark alley or backyard than together with some people at an intersection). That said, I do empathize with people who are having potentially dangerous materials left laying about in their yards. I just don't think a police crackdown is a way to stop the issue.

Actually... it's better to brush your teeth well before you meet someone, and then use mouthwash and/or gum closer to the time. The reason for this is that brushing (and flossing) can cause small abrasions in your gums (or larger holes, if your gums aren't in good shape), and that can lead to a risk of transmitting unpleasant things if you go down on someone when you've just brushed your teeth. So: brush a couple of hours in advance, and from then on mouthwash is your friend. That's never occurred to me! I imagine that it would sting like hell, so you'll have to forgive me if I don't try it... :icon_eek:

Cometman, we moved out of Ottawa in 2006 to a small town that has its own butcher/abattoir. They kill local pigs and cows one day a week. I think they get chicken from the next town over. We buy all our meat from them. I can't say that all the meat is 100% organic or grass fed or whatever. In talking with local farmers, it almost seems that they have a frustrated/disgusted attitude about consumers who ask such questions. I believe most use some antibiotics and probably finish feed beef with corn. So I can't claim that we're eating all this almighty organic, grass fed, free-range, whatever stuff that you read so much about. I do, however, know that there aren't any CAFOs around here and our meat doesn't come from some huge industrial meat processing plant. Same thing with veggies. The few times I've asked local farmers about whether they used Round-up or Round-up ready seed, they sort of rolled their eyes and sighed. They don't seem to want to discuss it, so I don't push. But I don't understand. While I can see how it would increase their yield, it also seems like it vastly limits their export market. So ??? As for us, we don't fuss too much about organic or whatever, although we'd really prefer not to eat GMO products. My background is chemistry, and I have enough biology to know that the way GMO products are created is highly unnatural. That, combined with what seems like suspicious and highly inadequate testing, governments that seem bought out by GMO interests and, more than any other factor, the resistance to GMO labelling, has made us decide that we do not want GMO in our household. All we can do is try to avoid processed foods and foods with corn and soy ingredients, or lab made ingredients. Even still, I'm sure we're getting GMOs. What happened to all this free market talk? I thought the free market was about letting the market decide what it wanted? Turns out, it doesn't apply if there's a threat that the free market might reject what big business is selling. That stinks, and our elected Members of Parliament are directly responsible for this travesty. We should have labelling so we can make informed choices. Around here, we make just about everything from scratch. We buy very little in the way of processed foods. We buy stuff like soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce processed. Everything else, we try to buy basic ingredients and make up our own. This takes a lot of man hours, which we're lucky to have. Most families don't. I predict that, in the future, time will be the new currency of wealth and quality of life.

Good points, Christine. The consumer is very demanding about their food supply. It has to be wholesome AND cheap. They do not like factory or industrial farms, but economy of scale is the only way to continue to make a living for farmers. Get bigger or get out is our mantra. However, if we get big to be profitable, they do not like our production practices. Direct sales to consumer rarely work on more than a limited scale. When you look at what it costs a family to live per year, imagine what a small farm's gross sales would have to be in order to support a family. It's a sign of the times. Very few families can live on one income any more in middle class North America. If the consumer can, they should try to buy directly from the producer and see what a difference fresh food makes for their children's palates....no additives or preservatives. Ever had fresh ground beef? Very few people have and they cannot believe the difference.

Well I don't buy girls. What I as all gentlemen do is compensate women (adults) for their time, and what consenting adults do privately during that time is no one's business. At no time, because I pay a donation, does the lady lose control. Her boundaries are completely respected...I don't own the lady, not even a little bit. We have a mutually beneficial time together Tired of the morality squad that doesn't understand nor would ever try to understand And we are all preaching to the choir here aren't we RG

The unfortunate part is that they are serviceing only the major centers in NB, I think. Moncton, Saint John and Fredericton, I'm not sure about Mirimichi... This is exactly what Acadian was asking for, to NOT have to service the smaller centers, so is this going to really be a better service?? I see this as another example of the erosion of the rural lifestyle. Booo

Great way to connect or break the ice. Please practice good hygeine. I always keep mouthwash in my bathroom and encourage clients to use mouthwash. It not only kills bad breath but also bacteria. Additional Comments: Kissing is a great way to connect and also to break the ice. I always keep a bottle of mouthwash in my bathroom and encourage callers to rinse. It not only kills bad breath, but bacteria too. Additional Comments: Oops, didnt think my first comment posted. I am still new to all this. :)

Everybody loves sex, everybody loves cash. I don't see what's so wrong at mixing the two of them together. It is a "crime" with no victims. The total amount of undesired sex endured by women is probably greater in marriage than in prostitution, lol! This article targets prostitution between consentient adults...What about the human trafficking and sex slavery? That's the real issue. Back in my university days, in first year psychology part of the course requirement was to be a lab guinea pig for fourth year and graduate students in psychology. Had to do this for four different experiments. Well one fourth year student was studying hypnosis. And I signed up for that lab. But try as she might, I just couldn't (or wouldn't) be hypnotized. Just wasn't willing I guess to let myself be open to suggestion Something about not having control, and relinquishing it to someone else (a stranger no less) that doesn't appeal to me RG

Sometimes people should be just happy that a naked girl is dancing for you, and not expect anything beyond that. Is kissing the ultimate extent of what happens? Nope, but that should be expected even less. ;)

A belated but on going highlight. Two of my kids were home last weekend and will not be back until just before Christmas. They asked if they could put up my Christmas decorations since they have not done it for years. So, my house is fully decorated except for the real tree that we will get when they come for Christmas. Looks kind of nice in here. :) My outside lights are ready to turn on for December 1st.

As an SP, I have guys who want to turn it into a "friend" thing which I have no interest in. I always get the "You have the whole package" speech ( I'm a modest person so I don't think I'm the whole package) and I just laugh. Usually they only see certain sides and not me as a person day to day. I'm not interested in that. If I were to hire someone, I'm paying them to do what I want and most importantly leave afterwards with no strings attached. With free sex, there is ALWAYS something attached to it and I don't want guys calling me on my personal time. I don't have time for that.

For me, I did not know what to expect when I started visiting escorts. I think that the fact that I have to sneak out of home and sneak into an incall and then back home again made me think that this was perhaps entering the underbelly of society. Nothing could be further from the truth. That side of society is out there, bit a minimum of research ensures avoidance. I do tend to stick with the ladies of CERB and have not regretted that decision. Whether I interact with them on this forum much or not, I watch their interaction with others and that provides me with an insight into their personality....huge for compatibility. I have been invited into hotel rooms, apartments, and private homes and have never been disappointed with the visit. If they are acting, they are doing it very well, because genuine enjoyment is hard to fake. Either personalities mesh or they do not. A visit with a professional escort is a no bs adventure in pleasure......100 times less fraught with peril than an affair. One other thing.......if anyone has a chance to attend a CERB social, I highly recommend it. I was an attendee in Halifax and got to meet, talk to, and observe my fellow guests. Meeting these ladies (and gentlemen) in a social setting was really a highlight for me.

Another misconception is we HATE what we do for a living. I am comfortable with myself in doing this line of work, I keep my own schedule, make great money and see who I want to see. I've seen so many people get verbally abused in other jobs and treated like garbage. And I've done those type of jobs too. So when people tell me that "I'm too good for this job", the convo ends pretty quickly.

Yes, there are definitely misconceptions surrounding both the providers and the hobbyists. I was one of those people who perceived this lifestyle as anything but positive awhile back. Curiosity got the better of me and I am so very happy that I was able to quell the negativity through first hand experience. I can say that I am proud of what I do but wish that the veil of secrecy could be lifted without any negative fallout. Change always takes time I guess but thank you to those of you brave enough to visibly fight for the cause (I admire you ladies greatly!)

The fact that we have distinct seasons in this country is one of our most unique Canadian features. Most of us have our favorite season but it is these changes of season that happen regardless of our wishes that helps us to mark the passage of time and bring each of us to different mindset. Much of Canada has had an amazing summer with beautiful weather from coast to coast. In some ways it seems like only yesterday that the weather turned here last May but in reality that was six months ago. Now as I look in on Cerb or watch the national news I am starting to see references to flurries, cool weather or even snow. For myself I still enjoy winter, and that is not because I am a great winter outdoor person. I enjoy the freshness of the air, the days when snow is glistening from the sun shining on it, or the days when snow falls steadily and slowly and accumulates are really pretty gorgeous days. Yes there is shoveling, scraping of windshields, starting and throwing wood into the furnace and all of those winter chores but those all go with the Canadian experience and I am lucky enough to still enjoy them. Enjoy your winter and don't wish time away. Summer will come again. :)

When a client comes to visit me, I always insist that he shower before anything serious happens, and while he's in the bathroom, I tell him to hang his clothes on the hooks on the back of the door. If he leaves anything in the living room (such as his phone or wallet) I ask him to bring everything into the bathroom with him, and leave it on the counter or in his pockets. When he emerges from the bathroom wearing nothing more than a towel, I'm already in the bedroom waiting for him, and for the duration of the session, I never enter the bathroom until after he's showered and left. Simply put, I will never allow myself to be in any situation where I can be accused of theft. Nobody has ever suggested this, but I make sure that it's flat-out impossible for someone to make such an accusation. By ensuring I'm never alone with the gentleman's things, and ensuring he's put his belongings in a place where he can retrieve them immediately, I never have to be concerned about any awkward situations, and more importantly, I make sure that no gentleman ever forgets any of his belongings at my place. Whether it's a phone, wallet or wedding ring, if you brought it with you, then you're leaving with it - no exceptions. Sadly, the stereotypes of both clients and sex workers only serve to harm our interactions, and often place us in a position where trust is limited and suspicion is common. How ironic that an interaction requiring such a deep amount of discretion and trust on one level, is so lacking on another... Simply put, I use this method to ensure there's no way for anyone to ever suspect me of bad behaviour, just by ensuring there's never any opportunity. Much like Cat's use of her little box, my bathroom hooks give both my clients and myself the peace of mind of knowing we're both here for the right reasons, and any concerns we might have regarding each other's honesty are eliminated before they can arise. :)
