Going above and beyond to make a newlywed couple very happy... Did the whole wedding thing with them complete with pictures at the ornamental gardens and such. Dropped them off for the reception. Late night pickup at 2:30 am. Retrieved the couple and took them to their hotel. Just getting ready to leave when the bride runs over and taps on the car window. Is the groom's ring in the back seat area? We look high and low. No ring. So sad. Too bad. She leaves. I'm sitting there thinking what else have I got to do at 3 am? So I go back to the reception venue and start checking the walkway from where they got in the car back to the venue entrance. Right then, a guy comes out of the venue, bends over and picks something up and asks me "You looking for this?" The ring, of course! Called the bride and asked her to meet me in the lobby in seven minutes. She was over the moon! Yup. We are a full service company! :)

As someone who changes their look/hairstyle/attire/etc quite often, I can attest that I sometimes feel awkward/shy about posting older pictures. For example, my hair is currently dark and medium length, but a lot of my pictures show me with short blonde hair. While I hesitate to post these pics with my ads for this very reason, it also kind of irks me; my face, body and general style are the same. The woman you see in those pictures is still ME, I just happen to have a different hairstyle for the moment. That doesn't mean I'm trying to dupe people into thinking I'm something I'm not. Furthermore, it makes things difficult for someone like me who changes their hair often, because I almost feel trapped by the image I have posted here. I am a chameleon by nature, I don't like staying in the same style for too long. But then I have to start getting all these pro photos done every time I change my look so people don't start screaming "Bait and Switch!" or "You don't look like your pictures!" I mean, come on. I can see if I advertised with pictures of some 21-year old with an exotic look when I was really a 35-year old with an afro; but does hairstyle really account for THAT much of your decision-making process? If she looked generally the same as in her pictures minus the hair-do, I don't think that's grounds for a B&S - that's just a woman changing her hair.

I had a situation several months ago, where I made an appointment to see a lady. She had pix in her adds and described the services she offered. I liked what I saw and the services she was offering. When I got to her incall location, it sure didn't look like the person in the picture. When I asked her about it, she said she was using her "friends" CERB account. She was very attractive, but she definitely didn't offer the services that were advertised. I did stay for the appointment, but in hindsight, I should have left once I found out about the account. If I am ever confronted with a situation like this again, I would definitely leave.

I would stop. When I decided, less than two years ago, to get my licence and buy a car, I did so after losing a friend in a hit-and-run accident. I finally felt I was ready to take on the responsibility of driving, because I would NEVER do what that bitch did to my friend. Driving is something I take very seriously. I obey every stop sign/traffic light/etc, and not for fear of traffic cops, but because WHAT IF a person or animal jumped out and something bad happened. If I had to look back and say 'If only I'd stopped at that stop sign, this wouldn't have happened', I couldn't live with myself. I *did* hit a deer and wreck my car earlier this year - but I was going the speed limit, looking straight ahead, doing everything I was supposed to. So, my attitude was, shit happens, but at least I know I wasn't at fault, and there was no way I could look back and say 'If I'd done this differently, that wouldn't have happened'.

The best time to go is Saturday night. You should expect nothing. You will be for the most part ignored. You will be one of many single guys trying to attract the attention of one of the few females there. What females are there are almost without exception part of a couple looking for another couple. On Self-Image issues: when I approach her door I wish I were 40 lbs lighter. I wish my man boobs were smaller. I wish my hair was a bit less grey. I wish there wasn't that white patch in my moustache. I wish I was 2" longer. I wish Ed was just my cousin's name. Then the door opens and my mind only knows her eyes, her smile, her kiss, and all I want is to be there forever for the next hour.

Maybe it's because of the particular women I have seen but I don't see "open minded" with the same cynicism some others do. I mentally translate it to "let's talk". If I'm in the mood for something she hasn't mentioned or specifically ruled out this is an encouragement to a discussion where she may agree or demure without judging me for asking.

I just wish more people would see with their heart and not their eyes.

I've been reading the books since the first one came out and quite enjoy them, but in some ways like the television series more. I found the last couple books could have benefited from a lot of editing, and in some ways it's become more sprawling than epic. The television show almost forces them to focus the story, and so the pacing is better. I've always been generally OK when movies/tv changes book material though. They are different mediums and I don't judge them on how closely they match.
