IMO... An incall is a necessity unless a provider wants to run the 8pm to 5am shift until she has her license revoked for night blindness and her walker is too hard to get in and out of the backseat. Outcall clients are usually at night and are harder to handle in general because they are more spur of the moment. Day clients are seldom under the influence and usually able to plan ahead a bit. My clients are clear on what they expect from the location I use. I had to check into a hotel this spring for a few days during repair work and had clients cancel because they don't like hotels for their visit. My location runs me 30% of my gross income. I realize this is disproportional and if I had to relocate I'd be screwed. If I could run outcalls from 7am to 6pm, I would have that 30% (less gas as I already pay for my car and insurance) back in my wallet. Given I'm a low volume provider it is doable, traffic wise. But my guests need me to provide the location. This thread made me take a peek at my books, perhaps it's time to raise my rates... ;) cat

You are welcome Bunny. First, ladies with children generally do not run an incall where their children live. Never a good idea. They always have a separate incall location (or at least they should imo). Most of us have 2 locations - our personal residence and our incall location. I get you about the cats - I have them too and yes, they hate being alone (well, except when they are out hunting, and sunning, and running the roads, they wished I would leave them alone! lol). This really comes down to your choice on how you want to run your business. Good luck!

A thought on this... there are quite a lot of clients who can't really do outcalls for one reason or another, but it strikes me that there are probably far fewer who can't do incalls. I don't know whether I'm actually correct in thinking this or not, but... If I'm right, then it might also follow that the increase in business that a SP gets from offering incalls would offset the increased costs involved.... Having an incall can't be all that bad, financially - if it was, nobody would do it!

My first post and review of my first visit to South Point Acupuncture and Massage. Went today after booking 24 hours in advance. Emailed Sur for appointment and she was quick to respond. I was at her door precisely at 11AM, with no issues in parking or finding the house. She has a nice smile and a very warm and inviting personality. She showed me to the massage room, indicated that I get ready, and in a minute or so she re-entered the room. Good reviews or no, this is very unprofessional behavior, all three times. Is she having issues? No clue but I would expect if someone is advertising a lot that having clients is important so one wouldn't behave this way. If you behaved this way towards a lady here, you would NOT have a second opportunity to to it. I understand the intrigue and interest and only you can decide if she's worth pursuing on the off chance that one day things may click and you can meet. Or you may end up with futile efforts that end in failure as the other three have. I have no idea where her reviews are but you also have to ask, are they real. I am sure that even with your particular tastes and interests that there is "someone" out there who will not give you this run around or treat you so callously and unprofessionally. If you can seriously look at yourself and say "I behaved as I normally do and did nothing wrong" then you are not the one with the issue however you are the one with the decision to make. I'm sorry you are dealing with this as well as questioning yourself from someone else's behavior. My advice would be to do yourself a favor and move on. I'm sure someone else will value you.

This market, as well as many others, is consumer driven. This is a luxury service that we offer and if the disposable income is not available competition becomes a bit more fierce. In these economic times it is important to set yourself apart but not compromise your ideals. If you structure a good business plan and have the ability to budget then slow times are manageable, just like they are for any successful business. My 2cents.
