Have you ever come onto the general discussion forum and continually read posts that you find so well done, articulate, concise and very politely put? I have and have messaged to thank the op. But in this case and of course this is just my opinion, but this person- MIGHTY PEN-(A well suited name) :) does just that EVERY time he posts. One thing I love about this community is the sharing that's here for both sensual/sexual things and real life thoughts and experiences. We all talk about what we have for supper but no one ever posts the recipes so I thought, why not post those great recipes that you love that others might love and see what extra delicious pleasure we can add to life. I'll start with something new I recently found but yummy! Baked Gnocchi with Bacon, Tomato and Mozzarella Ingredients 500g store-bought gnocchi 250g bacon, chopped 2 garlic cloves, crushed 1 teaspoon smoked paprika 1 400g tin chopped tomatoes 1 tablespoon tomato paste handful cherry tomatoes, halved 1 teaspoon sugar 2-3 tablespoons cream/yoghurt large handful fresh parsley, chopped salt & pepper to taste 100g mozzarella, sliced Instructions Pre-heat the oven to 200°c. Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil. In the meantime, make the sauce. In a large, hot frying pan, fry the bacon until starting to crisp with most of the fat rendered. Pour off most of the fat then add the garlic and smoked paprika and fry for 30 seconds. Add all of the tomatoes and the sugar and allow to simmer for 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the cream/yoghurt, parsley and seasoning. Cook the gnocchi in the salted water until it starts floating to the top. Remove with a slotted spoon and add to the sauce. Transfer the gnocchi and sauce to an oven-proof dish and top with the sliced mozzarella. Place in the oven and bake for 10 minutes until the mozzarella is melted and golden. Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Some people have asked why the new classified system as opposed to the way it is now so here in point form are the reasons. The ladies can EDIT the ads The ladies do not have to make a new ad every day The ladies can BUMP the ads every 12 hours instead of taking time to have to make a new ad every 12 hours (Not everyone knows how to cut and paste) The old way adds post counts every time a ad is placed so we have some members with 1000 ad posts and no contributions and now have privileges of those with actual discussion contributions. (Not that the ads are not contributions - they most certainly are but it does not show an accurate representation of the actual contributions) As the site grows the more posts we have the larger the database gets (and with every post the site gets just a little larger and requires more resources... with this new system we will not have 40000 posts that are just ads). When a lady retires we can simply close down the ad (She does not need to worry about the 1000 ad posts still being shown with photos and info (This is actually a big concern with many advertisers) The Classified system lets the ladies easily ROTATE photos (The cerb albums do not have this ability) The checklists of services will help guys SEARCH for ladies who potentially offer what they are looking for Such things as "Are rates negotiable" and "Minimum appointment time" will cut down on requests from the guys to the ladies. The list goes on and one really.... the pros far outweigh the cons. Actually I don't see any real cons as this is a FREE place for indies to advertise and a REALLY CHEAP place for agencies and spa's to advertise. The BUMPING feature and all the other goodies we have or are working into the system will just make it superior to other advertising venues as well. When we opened cerb EC was the venue for classified ads and CERB was not really to have classified profile ads but over time we all realized that with cerb able to WEED OUT the bad advertisers so efficiently with the discussions and reporting features we have this is by far the more logical way to run classifieds as well so we are really just beta testing the whole idea and see how it goes. Like anything and everything... it will evolve. So far my "TO DO" list to fix the bugs and the improvements are... Fix BBCODE in SIGNATURES on COMMENTS on ads Hide Services that are not checked (Giant checklist showing is ugly) Checklist needs to say "Role Play" not "Roll Play" (Type-o) Add YMMV to checklist (Cause hygiene and other factors are always a roll - it's sad that we have to add this but we do cause if you show up stinky your not getting the same service as the guy in the old spice commercial would get!)

Given our population differences, I actually think Halifax is lucky to be as blessed with as many wonderful ladies as it is. Ottawa has over twice our population so you'd expect their to be more ladies there. And while I'm sure population is the main factor, I find this chart interesting too, which states Ottawa (at least in 2010) had the highest medium household income for a Canadian city. You'd have to think that being a city with a bit more disposable income helps! The Maritimes are also a more expensive place to travel to compared to a lot of cities. If you're in Ontario or Western Canada there are many places a lady could visit for less money than the cost of a flight out east. Geography just isn't on our side there. If there is someone you'd be interested in seeing travel our way, I think sharing your interest and wish with them is the best you can do. As Meaghan says though, offering a deposit is probably a good step, as it would be a great way to show your seriousness, as you can bet ladies typically receive many more invites and expressions of interest than they do actual bookings!

What they express as anger, self-righteous indignation and personal entitlement is really projected self-hatred. I want to sit these men down and say: If you don?t want to see a paid companion, don?t do it. If you decide to seek out a companion, that's your decision. I also agree with most who have posted that it will remain an issue until more people are willing to have conversations about non-monogamy, open relationships, and polyamory. Of course it's easy for me to explain to people that marriages are complicated and not so black and white, that people make choices in the context of their marriages that their spouse might not agree with, that sometimes promises are broken but that these people (some of my clients) are not 'bad' people. People in this industry who are married, as Mirha-Soleil so eloquently stated, are looking for something that is usually lacking in their primary relationships. However, that's not a reflection of loving less... it's simply a recognition that one person cannot fulfill all of your needs. That's a huge part of the logic of non-monogamy. Discretion and destigmatization, indeed. I wonder how that can change. I suppose some of the academic studies coming out that showcase (anonymously) the voices of clients are a place to start? Also, a lot of the autobiographies and narratives of sex workers talk about clients too, their stories, their thoughts... RG, I definitely get your point. I do think it's quite powerful to have seemingly normal 'allies' advocate for destrigmatization. It does carry a lot of weight with my friends when I say "I adore my clients" because they trust me, love me, and know me. However, if I told someone I didn't know, love, and trust about my work and the clients I see, they would probably put me in the same box as my clients and say there's something wrong with me (not always, but I'm speaking very broadly now). I'm not 'normal' either, you know what I mean? So I don't know if it's as legitimate. That being said, I do agree with realnicehat that it's really powerful when people stand up for themselves. In a context where that's not always possible (i.e. now with most clients) we do the best we can... Maybe people won't 'come out' as being clients of sex workers, but maybe people will come out as wanting a non-monogamous relationship. Thoughts? [This doesn't address the issue of the criminalization of clients, though *sigh*] Is the younger generation open about sex? Maybe. Has their communication styles followed through to support more openness? I'm not sure. It took me a really long time to become self-aware and properly advocate for myself and my needs. In fact, it's still a work in progress and probably always will be as my needs and desires shift. Until you can do that, and do it well, non-monogamy and sex in general is difficult. Learning how to communicate takes time...

I've been contemplating whether or not I should add my 2 cents on the topic. I had pretty much decided to stay silent because I was afraid I'd be judged but then I realized that I really don't give a flying.... Let me elaborate. As you may have guessed, I do offer 15 minute sessions. Granted, I don't offer them all the time because it's a pain in the rear to take the time to get freshened up and primped when the client probably won't really have time to notice that I look good. I only offer this option Mon-Fri from 10am - 2pm. The clients who request this option are looking for some sexual attention under the radar so they come see me during their lunch break. The time it takes to drive to me and back to work afterwards uses up a good percentage and stopping quickly to actually pick up something to eat takes up even more. How much time is left for hanky panky? About 15 minutes I'd guess. In my experience, it's rarely about money as was suggested earlier in the thread. In my opinion, these comments were completely uncalled for. I take great pride in what I do and I do it well. I can and have given quite amazing quickie sessions. I have a considerable amount of respect for myself as well as for my body and I would never be found on a corner.
