Got the opening and closing paragraphs written as well as the poem written for the family Christmas letter. This letter's been written every year since 1949 by my mother. I'm still very positive on Blackberry, and picked up a Z10 this year. It's been a great phone, and I don't really understand the bad press. BB as a company has a lot of great assets and it's demise is in my opinion highly over done. With the latest software, many of the Android apps will become available, they have BBM, a secure network, patents, and the QNX software. With a push on enterprise I think they will be back.

Boooo on Jaws!! It's a great movie in its own right but thanks to the misperceptions it has given people about Great Whites there is literally no public attention given to great white conservation efforts, and as a result those beautiful, majestic animals are now in serious danger. People should read the novel by Peter Benchley that the film is based on instead, it paints a very different picture and really hammers home the fact that the shark in that story is a freak and is NOT acting the way other great whites act. That point wasn't mentioned anywhere in the movie and gave the public the impression that all sharks are evil man eaters who deserve to be blown to smithereens. Benchley himself was a strong figure in conservation efforts and speaks out in this clip, and the things shown here are more horrific and evil than anything shown in Jaws Man is a much scarier monster than anything in the ocean. I tend to get off the wall gifts. Things I know the recipient would love but never justify buying it for themselves. For example, years ago my mom mentioned, in a short conversation, that she loved stained glass. I bought her a kit to make her own creations. Eight years later, she is an accomplished master of this art. Taking note of minute details in seemingly meaningless conversations can often uncover wonderful and thoughtful gift ideas!

I love gifts. Tools (yes tools), clothing, spa gift certificates, Jewlery, things I wouldn't buy for myself. I always include the receipt with the gift, so if they don't want it, they can always return it and get something they want. Most stores will give a non-price receipt if you ask. I love getting gift certificates to stores I love - that way I can hit the boxing day sales too. I'm a believer of asking what they want. This way, they can at least let you know. Anyone who gives grief over a gift is in my opinion not cool. I once got a hot wax machine that you put your hands into. The idea of putting my hands into hot wax - um, no. However, the giver was really proud she had found this for me, so even though the gift was not something I would use, her happiness was what made the gift something I appreciated.

Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil. In the meantime, make the sauce. In a large, hot frying pan, fry the bacon until starting to crisp with most of the fat rendered. Pour off most of the fat then add the garlic and smoked paprika and fry for 30 seconds. Add all of the tomatoes and the sugar and allow to simmer for 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the cream/yoghurt, parsley and seasoning. Cook the gnocchi in the salted water until it starts floating to the top. Remove with a slotted spoon and add to the sauce. Transfer the gnocchi and sauce to an oven-proof dish and top with the sliced mozzarella. Place in the oven and bake for 10 minutes until the mozzarella is melted and golden. Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Yep, definitely an introvert here. I need a good fraction of alone-time to feel fulfilled -- time in which to reflect, consider, learn, and absorb. It's valuable knowledge and opens up more of life to me... but it doesn't diminish the value of regular solitude.
