The Nordic model cannot be what replaces our current laws. The SCC struck down these three provisions because they infringed upon the safety and security of workers in a legal business. Implementing the Nordic model would be like telling construction workers they can do their jobs, but anyone purchasing the services of a construction worker could be arrested. Criminalizing clients does nothing to address the dangers faced by workers; in fact, it would likely increase these risks as criminalized clients would not likely be willing to undergo screening. So if the Nordic model is implemented, it will be appealed under the same reasons, and likely be struck down under the same reasons. "Feminists" (read: abolitionists) who want to "save the women and punish the pimps/johns" ignores the fact that there are men and trans* people who are workers, and there are women and trans* people who are clients. Criminalizing clients is not the way to go. We as workers do not want this. As to this talk of workers who are being pimped/exploited/against their will -- we have laws against human trafficking and forcible confinement and exploitation of minors. We do not need laws specific to sex work addressing these issues because we already have laws against them. There are plenty of other employments where workers are trafficked or exploited, and we do not have laws specific to those employments (domestic care/services being a big one).

There seems to be a lot of people missing the point. Yes, the Supreme court invalidated three parts of the Criminal Code dealing with Prostitution. So in one year, all things remaining equal, living off the avails, communicating for the purpose, and the bawdy house laws will no longer be valid. In practice I think you will be hard pressed to find any charges being laid under those three sections in the next year. But.... (and it is a big but), that is only if our current laws stay the same. Right now prostitution is legal in this country, and the ruling was made because those three laws were inconsistent with that fact and endangered people pursuing a legal means of work. If the Nordic model, or any other model comes in to effect, that makes exchanging money for sex illegal then all that hard work becomes moot. Brothels won't be legal, because selling sex will be illegal. All this will have been for nought. And stop blaming it all on Harper. He is only one part of this equation, and quite frankly I think he would rather avoid the debate. It is a politicial minefield. Start looking at the ridiculous and completely outrageous statements being made by people like the Elizabeth Fry Society, The Coalition for Abolition of Prostitution etc. etc. They are going to get the press, they are going to be exploiting others to get their point across. And it is not all right wing, nor left wing. It is just not church groups etc. It is a broad spectrum of people who want to criminalize prostitution, and they have a lot of tools to make their point. Target the right people, stop donating or working with groups that support criminalization. Speak out, and challenge the nonsense that we are already hearing, and are only going to hear more of in the coming months. Don't give the media ammunition. Yeah a hard fought battle was won on Friday, but it is going to be a long and bloody war.

I agree with most of what's been said here already. I would also like to chime in on a few things. Firstly, its important to note that the decision on Friday came after countless years of hard work by the many people who've been pushing for decriminalization through their daily work around this. I think that, if any other model is pushed for by parliament or whoever, and that model doesn't work in favour of safe(r/est) working conditions, these same people will fight it probably until its rejected or struck down. (I don't call myself an optimist for no reason :)) Also, its actually completely illogical what the 'saving women' movement is doing. Do they think that by criminalizing clients and lowering incomes and worsening safety conditions, that that somehow will open up new opportunities in other work sectors or provide us with alternative incomes? No. In fact, the people who will suffer most from these models are the very women they seem to be advocating for (many of whom have told them repeatedly to stop speaking on behalf of them) because by this point they will be in worse financial situations. Criminalizing clients will not end the sex industry and it won't increase employment of former sex workers in the the formal economy, unlike the claims made by said 'feminists'. Also, this: "In 2004, the Swedish police and the Ministry of Justice released a report on the state of prostitution since the 1998 reform, and found that: There were fewer sex clients, but a larger proportion were dangerous Sex workers had less time to assess clients The prices for sexual services had fallen More clients were ready to pay for unprotected sex Sex workers felt that their risk of violence had increased The report also brought to light a new form of crime that had arisen: women posing as sex workers to rob clients (who would fear reporting the robbery to the police for fear of being charged with attempting to purchase sexual services)." From: http://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/prostitution-laws-what-are-the-nordic-and-new-zealand-models-1.1603213 Hopefully, law and policy makers make new decisions based on the facts and not on their visions of morality that have proven time and time again to come at the expense of people's health and safety.

I'll step off onto a limb here. Many times it's fear of the unknown that holds us back. You have someone you have a great rapport with, value as a friend and has many qualities you like. No one would want to lose that in their life so for fear of that, they hold themselves back from perhaps a bigger and greater relationship. As some have said, it could be a signal that there is no interest. You are the only one who can determine if it's fear or disinterest and it may take some heart searching. As I've said before, I would rather risk and have no regrets then play safe and always wonder. I have learned from every chance I've taken, both good and bad. Even during the bad, I would never wish I didn't have the experience. Considering you would fuck her, that says she hold some attraction so maybe you either fear taking it further and having to commit to a relationship or you have no interest beyond the physical. Again, only you can determine that. Good luck.

You may very well be right ... although I'm not completely convinced. I'm not sure the cat burglar analogy works completely, because that situation does not involve a consensual transaction. In the nordic model you are criminalizing one half of a transaction; the purchase, but not the sale. If doing that puts the seller at risk then that clearly is a matter of concern and might fall afoul of the Bedford principles. Historically the court doesn't like doing things indirectly rather than directly. In other words, if criminalizing prostitution wouldn't pass charter scrutiny, why should criminalizing "parts" of it, when the intention of that partial criminalization is to prohibit the whole thing. This is, it seems to me, at the heart of the Bedford decision. The problem with the burglar analogy, is that you criminalize burglary, there aren't people out there actually wanting to be burgled. You criminalize the purchase of sex, there are people wanting to sell that service. I haven't had my morning coffee, so none of that might make any sense whatsoever. Cheers, Porthos

If she says " pass me the cash and I have to pay the driver" DONT DO IT!" lol...in my area there are 2 known agencies that make their living this way. also, just recently I was told a sad story( potentially could have been dangerous) he was told to meet the "manager" at a public place, pay for hour, then he gives you the room number....when he arrived of course, there was no occupant in the room! Stick to cerb as a new hobbyist is my best advice, read reco's and keep watch in Switch & Bait section. If you do have a bad experience post it!

Perfect. If it's MEANT to happen, it will happen. If you try to avoid it, it may come back to bite you on the ass, either in the way of deep regret or in the way of losing her as a friend anyhow. If you go with it and it doesn't work and you see EARLY that it's not going to work, get OUT quickly. That way you can salvage the friendship without severe and critical damage to the emotional part of your heart and equally as important, her heart. I've been there. I still pine for the friend I lost when we ended our relationship as a couple. I loved her. My kids loved her. But too many hurdles presented themselves, and in the end I not only lost the woman I loved, I also lost a friend, who like all friends, is irreplaceable. I was smart enough to avoid that for the last few relationships... two of whom nearly became Mrs Dog (I guess that would make them my bitches... hmmmmm.) Anyhow.. like CuriousM7 said.... follow your heart.

The two gifts I recall the most were not toys. One was a am/fm cassette player with built in speakers, very high tech for the year I go it and I wore it completely out. Music was my life. The second was a violin shaped music box that played Edelweiss, a song that was very dear to me for no apparent reason. I also always got a GC for a bookstore and would spend hours picking out my books. Back in the day when you could get a few for $20.

I agree. I don't really understand why, if the laws are deemed unconstitutional, as they have been, that they would give a stay of one year. It's basically saying: yes, we have determined that your constitutional rights are being broken, but we are allowing it to continue. Even the Federal Justice Minister Peter MacKay said himself: "A number of other Criminal Code provisions remain in place to protect those engaged in prostitution and other vulnerable persons, and to address the negative effects prostitution has on communities." He basically means that laws prohibiting violence & abuse, exploitation, slavery, kidnapping, unlawful confinement, rape, sex with a minor, coercion, trafficking, public nuisance, and commercial zoning laws are all still in place. That said, then what is the real purpose of keeping these other unconstitutional laws in place for another year? How is it not unconstitutional to keep unconstitutional laws in effect? There is a few reasons that come to mind. None of which I would condone.

Well I'll chime in again. A lady should show her face if and only if she feels comfortable doing so. But if her comfort zone is to not show her face she shouldn't feel pressured nor should she be pressured into showing it That client you might gain by showing your face might also be a one time only client for only a one hour encounter, or worse even a no show...yet your face is on the internet forever. I'm not saying a lady shouldn't show her face. But don't let prospective clients pressure you into showing it when otherwise you wouldn't. Just my two cents worth RG

All you have to do is talk to the lady when booking your session... I am sure anyone that offers msog in their massage can help... honestly is not an unusual request.... sometime I have even offer this option to the person after talking a bit about their likes.., dislikes..., concerns... as a matter of fact i had an experience like that yesterday...

I have to agree the Cum shot is sexy... it can be CIM...COF... COB...or Cum on Ass or any part of a beautiful lady's body. Personally not much better than looking into your partners eyes as you Cum on her or in her. That said... the Cum Shot Can't be the ultimate goal of your time with her... there is so much more to appreciate... i am not sure I understood that when I was younger but to be honest as I get older and for various reasons can't always count on a porn star finish... i have come to understand the pure joy to be found in all of the experience.

Saw Twyla a couple weeks back. As usual, great conversation, sensual, easy going, and actually very legitimate massage with hot stones. One day I'll walk in and actually get a massage alone. This is really the only place that consistently gives truly amazing finishes though: she actually mentioned the lube as a mixture of rapeseed oil, water, and some other stuff; it's really good!

Honestly, the best advice I can give you is to cut out preservatives. It means you have to plan your meals and cook, but it becomes second nature pretty fast and it's FUN. I can guarantee you will drop weight from that alone. In addition, DRINK MORE WATER! No one ever drinks enough and this contributes to bloating and all types of other issues. Thirdly - just move. You like going to the gym? Then go. If you like walking, walk. Take the stairs. Park at the far side of the parking lot. Have sex :) Whatever to keep yourself MOVING !!!!!!!!! It doesn't have to be complicated :)

I won't mention names unless they post here.......but I experienced it twice in the past year with a couple sweet Cerb ladies. It caught us both off guard both times.....and was awesome. Once I got an "oh oh....sorry" when I could speak I replied "that was awesome" :) big smile best I could do lol The second time I got an "oh my God ! ....I squirted. Are you okay with that?" what I wanted to say was "Fuck yeah that was amazing" !! I couldn't speak well and she got a "mmmm hmmm" and a smile Pretty gosh darn amazing when it does happen.....
