I would like to very politely disagree that hobbyists are at any significant risks. Most reputable providers take great care to ensure that there would never be any unpleasant souvenirs of your time. Really I must say and I am sure I will be echoed here , you stand a much higher chance of contracting a STD my meeting someone downtown. Fact, reputable ladies are tested regularly and are very careful about their sexual health. Personally speaking if you were to visit me with " sprays or ointments " I would not be receptive to this . I'm not sure if any ladies I know would enjoy being sprayed or have ointments rubbed on them. But perhaps there is something out there that I have not yet heard of . But be sure to warn any date if you plan to spray her with anything.

You have a greater chance of getting an STD / STI from a one-night-stand than you do from a professional escort. (But there is always a risk when having sex with another person). I have never hear of any sprays or ointments. That said, Always check with the SP before using such items. I know this thread is directed to the hobbyists so if I may say:)Life is risky! Driving your car, flying, riding a bike, eating food, all we do involves some level of risk and all anyone can do is take all precautions, don't fall prey to paranoia and have fun. To worry isn't a solution and the only way you can be 100% protected is to stay at home, wrapped in bubble wrap, lol. But on a serious note RG stated it best -abstinence is the only 100% safe sex. Any professional sp is going to do his or her utmost in maintaining their health, hence protecting yours. As far as ointments, sprays, I don't think so, but I did post an article about a vaginal ring that's being worked on that's supposed to be able to protect against herpes and hiv. I'm sure when it's fully approved it'll be news worthy and very much in demand. I'd like to also say that it's presumptuous to assume that sp's and hobbyists are at a higher level of risk than people outside this profession. We all take necessary precautions as our bodies/health are our livelihood. It does only take one time to contract something so no matter if your a virgin, sp or a lossy goosy because it's not how many it's which one!

Best way to catch them in a lie is to ask then if they are staying at the new one on such and such street, where you know there isn't one, most of the time they will say they are at the new one because it's new and perceived to be better, trust me this works every time I've challenged a cam scammer. Keep in mind too that they will place many adds in many cities at the same time for the same phone number so they don't always have time to look up the details so they will just go along with whatever you say. If you have to do anything more than leave the donation in an envelope then you are about to be ripped off plain and simple.

I kind of blame the e-world for the decline in basic humanity. Everyone is plugged in and that has led to a very egocentric society. My rant is based on a minor incident that recently happened to me. Il Re makes a good point that puppy mills and such are on a whole other level from licensed breeders. Some of them are the biggest animal lovers one could find, after all. For my two cents, I think the bigger change has to come from those who want the pet...that is, the demand side of the equation. As long as people are willing to pay $$$ for breeder dogs, there are going to be breeders. Whatever anyone says or feels, I think it's fair to say that's the reality. But if people were more inclined to adopt from a shelter instead, and the demand (and so profit) for breeders went away, that's where you'd see big reductions in animals having to be euthanized.

Being from NL I would have to say Republic of Doyle, This Hour has 22 minutes and Rick Mercer. If there us anything better than a Rick Mercer Rant on TV I have not seen it.

My favourite Canadian show of recent vintage had to be Being Erica. OK, it was a chick show but Erin Karpluk surely stirred my drink. In some alternate reality I'm positive we are passionate lovers. Oh, plus the writing was excellent and it was Canadian/Toronto-centric.
