Just wanted to say that after being on Cerb for 4 years and meeting many SP's and MA's over the years that I have learnt a lot about the women who have chosen the is path as a career. Most of them have chosen this career because they enjoy the independence and financial freedom that it can bring. But this job is not easier. Many of them have families or kids to support. University educations that they are trying to complete. This job is demanding as it involves many hours of marketing, emailing, posting ad's answering text and PM's. Trying to get hotel, schedule appointments. The women who are most successful at this job are the one's that truly enjoy their work and like to please their clients. I've met many of these women and have truly enjoyed my time with them time and again. This can be a stressful time as they need the time to prepare the room and prepare themselves for each encounter. Some day's it can busy and other day's not. Some day's they meet some really fun gentlemen and other days, maybe some creeps. Some have been robbed, or beaten up or cheated. Sometimes there no shows or other girls that make fake appointments. This is a hard job. Sometimes it is physically demanding. They give their most intimate moments. It takes a certain kind of woman to handle the emotions and sexual activities that this job may entail. One SP, told me that it's not the physical aspect that is tiring. But the emotional aspect. To be able to pretend to enjoy themselves when they are not. She was saying that in this job she had to be the giver all the time and that most of the men were takers. Her Job was to give them pleasure and most men just used her to get as much pleasure for themselves. These women deserve more, they deserve to be treated kindly and with respect. Respect their time and their contact protocol. Be a gentlemen and be clean. Do not try to negotiate their rates, or push them for more then they are willing to offer. Give them a massage to start, make it about them in the beginning. They may have had a hard day, and appreciated a little kindness and tenderness and relaxation. Talk to them, they are people also, not just objects of your lust. Treat them well and with respect and kindness. I've been told by them, that it doesn't matter how old or what you look like. As long as you are a gentlemen and clean, you will be treated well. Remember, that they are there to make you happy and are providing a very intimate service, so you should appreciate they company they provide. If the chemistry and connection are there, you will have a great time. If the connection is real, it pays to return for repeat sessions. I have repeated many times with many of the women, and have found that each session get's better and better, as you get to know each other and are more relaxed with each other. I have had several good friendships developed over the years and have maintained them. Just wanted to say this to thank you to the women of Cerb for the fun and kindness that they have given us men over the years. I hope to meet many more of you over the next few years if I can :) Remember guys. Be a gentleman, be clean and respectful and you shall be rewarded. Oh yeah, one more thing. The woman should always cum first :)

I'm going to say it. STUPIDITY. Especially this week. There are far too many people speaking from an opening that is not their mouth... and most of those are the doom and gloomers. Think of solutions. When you give up and publicly announce that there is no hope, you become part of the problem. So... if you have given up hope, please... ummm... shut the fuck up. Your "sky is falling" bullshit is NOT HELPING.

So what! I have been in this business for 33 years and seen ladies in many different countries all with different laws, and it never stopped me. There is nothing wrong with seeking the company of a woman. Now if we happen to get naked in private, oh well things happen! Its as much legal to give cash to a lady that you spend time with so she can buy herself a gift, as it is to taking her out to a fancy restaurant and paying for the food and drinks.

I appreciate the spirit behind your post and the time you took to write it. I certainly hope you all treat the people who serve your morning coffee, deliver your paper, clean your house, fix your car, cook your lunch, shine your shoes, serve your dinner, clean your teeth, wax your body hair, prepare your prescription, scrub your toilet, ring through your grocery purchases and dry clean your suits the exact same way. Sex work is real work and although we certainly deserve compassion, respect and consideration, we don't require it any more than any other working person you encounter during your day. It's the separation of us as "special" that often perpetuates the notion that we require "special" considerations, that we need "special" accommodations, that we simply aren't like everyone else. Well we are.

That's 100% malarkey. A stereotype and nothing more. The top 3 biggest cocks I've ever handled all belonged to Caucasian men. Dick size is no more related to skin color than pussy tightness is to hair color. I've seen sizes ranging from itty bitty to king kong dong on all races but as the saying goes it's how you use it that matters. I was actually very shocked the first time I heard that some SPs refuse to see black men. I was contacted by a potential client who was inquiring about my services. At the end of the email, he felt obligated to inform me that he was mulatto and asked if it was ok. If I'd still see him. This was how I found out about race restrictions. I was in disbelief and appalled. I still can't believe it. Same goes for some refusing to see BBM (is that correct?). I understand we all have different tastes but for me, my personal taste doesn't influence who I take on as a work client. I'm not seeking someone to date or marry and have a family with at work. I want clients who are respectful, kind, reliable, fun to spend time with, etc. It doesn't matter what they look like. Everyone deserves to be made to feel special!

Calling all experts! I'm not one. According so some , the proposed legislation allows law enforcement to add the names of those charged and convicted to the National Sex Offender Registry. What value will that very important list have if hundreds of the names on it are simply not the names of sexual predators? What use will it be when the names on it are of consenting adults who simply paid for or sold sexual services? Can anyone confirm this is the case? And if so, are both clients and providers added to the list upon conviction? I realize it's not law yet. I'm trying to find the parts that we need to focus on changing. This would be one of them.

Not sure if this has been posted BUT it is important. This is the actual process of how a bill becomes law in Canada. http://www.parl.gc.ca/About/House/compendium/web-content/c_g_legislativeprocess-e.htm So when you are fretting about Bill SeeDirtySex (C36) remember what was tabled on Wednesday is like a piece of cloth before it gets tailored into a suit. IT IS NOT THE FINAL PRODUCT. An all party committee will scrutinize the living shit out of the current bill. You can bet that more than one member will PUBLICLY suggest that the bill is absolutely contrary to the SCC decision and will suggest sending the bill or parts thereof to the SCC as a series of test questions. You know how the SCC has ruled - in unanimity. What can you do in the interim? Contact your MP. Demand a written response. Organize. Organize. Organize. If you are a part of a SW organization, enlist the support of human rights organizations. Have THEM speak on your behalf in concert with your own voice. Find SW friendly artists, authors, educators and other persons of note to advocate for you. Get Elizabeth May on board. Get the NDP on board. Get the Liberals on board. Don't get sidetracked on side issues. No tangents. You want to gain support NOT alienate. This bill affects both sexes. In the resounding words of Pierre Elliot Trudeau - "There's no place for the state in the bedrooms of the nation." That was nearly 50 years ago. Let's NOT go backwards. Just some food for thought.

Mr Prime Minister Harper, Oh Ye, Oh Great One, Following the direction of the Supreme Court but first and foremost at your direction since you are so much more powerful than the Justices, I have been working to rewrite the legislation regarding prostitution in this great country of ours. I have determined that the model that we can use will be similar to the one that we follow in the regulation of marijuana. By using this model there is a precedent set elsewhere in our legal system that we cannot be challenged on and it will keep everyone happy. It shall be legal to sell sex and it shall be legal to purchase sex, but only in small amounts. We of course will be required to write regulations to define small. If a potential client is by nature well endowed then it would be impossible to have just a little bit of sex. That would be by definition a lot of sex and therefore subject to prosecution. This would be a winning political position for our party in the next election because in reality most men are not that well endowed. If you may recall, when a former President from our neighbors to the South had a blowjob from Ms. Lewinsky, he set precedent for us with these words. "I did not have sex with that woman." Therefore we can confidently assert that a simple blowjob is exempt from prosecution. Since I know how much you admire the Americans I am sure that you can accept this. Or perhaps we could allow a little bit of a blow job if you are more comfortable with that. Deep throat would certainly be cause for prosecution. In order to protect our youth it is critical that we regulate advertising from the "Ladies of the night." I propose that references to sex be prohibited, but that we create and charge for courses that will teach proper methods of writing in code. For example, an, "Introduction to Mr. Putin," would in fact refer to a Russian ending. Instead of using the term BBBJ they could talk about the "Triple B Ranch." These courses can also add to government income to allow us to further pad our Senators expense accounts. Mr Harper, before I finish I would like confirmation that I am on the right track. I would be pleased to do a CIM for you at your request. Sorry about the acronym - Composite Information Material. With Respect, Peter MacKay From the Desk of the Prime Minister: Peter, I'd like to stick it up your ass! Stephen From the Desk of Peter MacKay Stephen, Under the new legislation that response allows you to be charged!

It's simple. Drop an envelope for: 1. Interior decorating 2. consulting services 3. meal service 4. Artwork 5. Piano lessons/vocal training/ 6. cleaning services 7. tutoring services 8. pet sitting/dog walker/groomer 9. gardening 10. snow shovelling 11. whatever else you want to hire someone else for.... Seriously? You can have sex with a friend. You can have sex with someone that you have hired to do other services. It's not complicated. Think outside the box!!! (maybe a bad choice of phrasing...) In the meantime, build your contacts. If you don't want to have providers on your main phone, get a burner. Get blackberry messenger. Blackberry has that service because GOVERNMENTS can't monitor the traffic on it. DM on Twitter Text message. There are so many logical solutions folks....

I was just listening to a French Radio Canada interviews on FM and they asked a cop about the part of the bill about criminalizing clients and he said it would be very difficult to apply, if it becomes law. Basically they can't have a police officer with each SP, 24 hrs a day, to hear and see everything they do!

I have been a member here on CERB for a few years but only really active for the last year... i think the Board does a pretty good job of monitoring behaviour of members in regards to their postings but there is really very little that can be done if members behaviors with SP'S are less then desirable. I would like to think that the amazing ladies of CERB would share that information with each other so that those who do not act appropriately get black listed by mire ladies. There is no excuse for mistreating these wonderful ladies through your actions or your word.

This post goes out to the lovely ladies of Ottawa. Are there any ladies whom really like giving hand jobs, are there any that believe they bring the HJ to whole new level? I know, I know HJ seem pretty mundane, but for me, it more about forfeiting control, toying with me, and if you do it right, you got me begging for release is where I find myself seduced. For me the ideal HJ session would involve 2 HJs. The first, just quick and dirty...to let me relax, to put the nerve a rest. Followed by deep therapeutic massage, where "he" would get some attention, but not "too" much, eventually the session would end long teasing multiple edging HJ. Followed by a little power nap! lol I guess I'm looking for cross of therapeutic, eroticism, maybe even a little bondage, cum denial, all delivered by a cute petite brunette. To be TOTALLY honest, the perfect way to end would be to use the 2nd HJ to get me nice a stiff, then climb me, ride me and make me "happy". I know this last comment it probably "out of bounds" for this section, but I was simply describing an ideal scenario. Not implying anything else. Petite, brunette, feisty but polite and can soft spoken as she could dirty when the time is right. I used to see Jude. She gave an amazing massage, HJ was good, but was missing a dash sensuality, of sultriness. I'd like to point out, i need a girl who can deliver a deep massage. Incall and preferably an indy. I've never been to spa, but for the right girl...what wouldn't a man do! Suggestions anyone? Thank you to all One that comes to mind is MAYA from ALO, has anyone had the pleasure of visiting her? Her pics too look tempting.

I have always start off with tea and cookies for outcalls like Suite Escapes suggests. The donation envelope is always on the hall table by the front door. So there is no visible transaction. We socialise over tea/coffee and a lite snack. Some casual conversation and never about sex. Although there can be some lite flirting... Who knows what that will lead to... ;)

Both. Sure it is nice to be comfortable with someone who accepts you as you really are. Someone you can go to your favourite restaurant with, or sit out on your deck with and none of the neighbours notice. Someone you can REALLY talk to about everything that is going on. But every now and then it is nice to have a bit of a fantasy with a super-sexy girl in lingerie or some wild outfit. Neither of us being our normal selves. Obviously the ideal partner can be both as needed.

Well I wonder how many who are thinking of swearing off seeing companions in the future saw ladies from agencies or went to a lady's incall to see her (just as examples) which was illegal Unless they are really serious (ie increased money/resources to LE) about enforcement I'm not going to worry Maybe I'll celebrate the passing of the bill into law by discretely contacting a special lady and we can celebrate together ;-) RG

Hear-hear, I love your description of a perfect handjob, and I must agree. Many these days just head off directly into the world of BJ's without bothering to tease first with the HJ. To tell you the truth, I've been missing a good HJ for a long time too, and have been wondering the same thing, who gives the best teasing HJ's? To an extent, it's partially my fault, I've had some wonderful HJ's in the past, but I've always finished off with a BJ, so many of my regulars go straight to the BJ.

Here is what I think will happen IMHO . The law will pass as is. Indy SPs will have a harder time advertising but after a month or two ways will be found. Sites like cerb will come back as text only blog sites. Postings will have fewer details. Pooners will be harder to find. But they will still be around in fewer numbers as will the SPs . There will be less communication between SPs and Pooners which will create problems. The law we be tested by the courts but this will take a long time. I have never used their services but The worse part of this law is that the Ladies that work the street will be Be driven further underground and in much greater danger. At some point there will be a public outcry to change this new law to better protect them.

People who text constantly when you're visiting with them and trying to have a normal conversation. People who text constantly in a movie theatre or concert while the show is going on. A few initial thoughts on this. Full disclosure: I've read Pivot's analysis of it, but not the bill itself (I've scanned the bill, and it's basically impossible to follow unless you're already familiar with existing legislation). Anyway... ...yes, it's bad, but I see no reason to panic. The sky is not falling, despite the government's wish to drop it on us. As Gia noted, this is not a final bill; it's an opening bid in a political process. Some provisions in there will be things the government really wants to make happen, but some will be stuff that's there purely to be negotiated away so that the government can claim they're being reasonable. Yes, the government has a majority... but negotiations will still take place and compromises will happen. An aside: given the government's current relations with the SCC, I can't help but wonder how much of this is less about sex work than Harper just wanting to deliver a solid "Fuck you" to the court. Obviously sex workers and their clients are just collateral damage here... On communication: it still talks about "any place", and the Internet (including email) is still not a "place". On advertizing: does the law prevent the hosting of ads, or just the placing of them? The former is completely unenforceable; contrary to what some others have said in this thread, anything outside of Canada is beyond the jurisdiction of Canadian courts, as are any servers physically located in another country and run by a non-Canadian company. So, to pick three more enlightened countries at random: if we set up cerb.de, hosted on servers in New Zealand by an Australian company, the courts here are powerless. And for those who disagree with me on that... think for a moment about Wikileaks. Think about Edward Snowden and Glenn Greenwald, and what they've published between them. Think about the stuff they've put online, and how much it has pissed off the most powerful and technologically advanced nation in the world... and on a subject far more important to The Powers That Be than sex work could ever become. Can they stop it? Can they shut those people down? Of course not, or they would have already done so. Given that, do you really think the Canadian government will be able to kill a board like this if it's hosted abroad, even if they were foolish enough to try? Now, if the placing of an ad is a crime... well, that's enforceable. But will LE have the resources and inclination to actually enforce it? Maybe, but that depends on the LE in question. And that only applies if ads stay the way they are today... if advertizing sexual services is illegal, then we simply do what's already common in the US: "Money exchanged is for time and companionship only (nudge, wink)." Problem solved: no sex advertized, no law broken. On the idea that this bill could kill the industry in Canada: well, I'm sure the government would love that to happen. But, really... look south. Even if this bill passed as written, the legal environment for sex work would still be less oppressive than that which exists in most of the US. Tell me, doom-mongers, are there no sex workers in the US? Are there no clients? And, bearing in mind the answers to those two questions, do you honestly think the industry will die here? It's called the Oldest Profession for a reason, and it's survived worse than this. Now, that's not to say there will be no effect at all. We may end up with a more US-like situation where providers have to be more careful about screening clients, and clients will have to be more careful about which ads they respond to, and newcomers on both sides of the fence will probably find it harder to get established. Some clients and providers may well be scared out of the industry, and it may decline in size as a result. But it will continue; I have no doubt about that. My gut feeling is that enforcement of whatever finally becomes law will, as today, be mostly aimed at street workers and their clients. Let's face it, this is about politics, and what drives politics is public opinion... and what drives public opinion is what the public sees. The man in the street probably doesn't know that the nice lady in the apartment upstairs is a sex worker, and therefore he won't complain to either LE or his MP about her; he's going to complain about the lady in the short skirt on a street corner, never mind the fact that she's just a random person meeting a friend for a night out and not a sex worker at all. Finally: as many have noted, this is all obviously going to be struck down by the SCC on the same grounds as last time, provided we can get plaintiffs for a test-case (or maybe two; it strikes me you'd need one case for the laws aimed at clients, and one for the laws aimed at providers). Sure, most people won't want the publicity... but it only needs one or two courageous and determined individuals. And a decade.
