7 pointsNathalie, thank you so much for all your amazing contributions to CERB over the past few years. :) You have started many wonderful thought-provoking conversations. Many of my favourite threads came from you. CERB is a better place because of your footprint. Taking a look back, here is an impressive collection of just some of your best: -Destigmatizing Clients - Any Suggestions? -On The Topic Of Recommendations -On The Topic of Higher/Lower Volume Providers -(Mis)understanding Introverts -The Importance of "Loving" As A Verb -The Perfect Kiss -How Do You Feel About Being Alone? -Support Me While I Orgasm You've also added some fun and lightheartedness with threads like Pick A Funny Someecard. And of course, our awesome blog update thread! Not to mention, all of your helpful and supportive posts and threads in the SP ONLY section. And of course, your beautiful and inspiring advertisements. :) Seriously, you rock. Thanks for spending this special part of your journey with us. Now go kick some vanilla world ass! :) xoxo

7 pointsThe definition of goddess varies. However for me, in this case, it means a woman who is greatly loved and admired. And that could not encompass my feelings for this woman and her kindness, thoughtfulness, selflessness and generosity any more. She deserves to be cerb goddess, but she will always be my goddess... Midnight-Massage. Thank you for being you.

7 pointsUnited we stand, divided we fall, no? I'm not saying don't write your MP's. I'm not saying, "do nothing." What I am trying to say is this: Don't throw sex workers who aren't like you under the bus in your efforts to show you're not like the stereotype. Write your MP's about how Bill C36 is harmful to sex workers and unconstitutional because I guarantee you, people like Joy Smith could give a sweet fuck if you're "happy"--in fact, she'll just assume you're lying. I say this with some experience since she said the very same to me during a radio interview on CBC. And lastly, unless you know me Jessica, don't ever presume to know what I am or am not doing for this cause. Although it's not a competition, I would like to point out that I've been an active and very outspoken member of the sex workers' rights movement for the last six years including using my real name to speak as a current sex worker. I was the Vice-Chair of a sex workers' rights org. When was the last time you put yourself out there like that? Were you at any of the protests against C36? When was the last time you went to a Dec. 17 vigil? We'll never get anywhere if you're bound and determined to set yourself apart from the rest of us. And for the record, this isn't personal. I'm not trying to attack you. I'm trying to tell you, from a position of experience, that you're going about this the wrong way, and that this has the potential to create even further divisions within the movement.

5 pointsI have to say, I find the direction this thread has gone to be profoundly depressing. I've been away from CERB for a couple of weeks, and almost the first thread I read on my return is people who I'd have expected to be cooperating - or at least broadly supportive of each other - sniping at each other over tactics and ideological purity. I fail to see how this is productive. I fail to see how the time and energy spent on this is better spent doing so, rather than being aimed at the abolitionists. Perhaps this is because I'm not really engaged in political activism myself; perhaps these internecine feuds really do serve some greater good, of which I'm not aware. But right now, I just can't see it. I happen think that people on both sides of this debate are doing a lot of good and useful work, and I'd love it if everyone could accept that the fact that someone else's views are not perfectly aligned with your own does not mean that they're an enemy that has to be shot down. But hell, what do I know?

4 pointsYou might ask them in advance what their goal is in talking to you. Sometimes they have a specific plan in mind - "let's interview someone from a group that supports the new law, and an expert who says it will endanger women, and someone in the industry". Maybe they are looking for a sex worker to say "Parliament does not understand the reality of sex work". Or maybe they want someone to say "I have been exploited all my life, thank heavens Parliament is helping me out". Or they might genuinely have no agenda from the start, but either way it could be worth trying to find out whether what you want to say is what they want to hear - it could matter. Also, take the lead from politicians and "stay on message". Decide what it is you want to say, and say it, no matter what. It makes no difference what their questions are, your answer should be the message you want to convey!

4 pointsI hope that those who see the posts that are questioning some aspects of this effort pay attention to this part. No one is saying that making an organized effort of the anecdotal experiences of many consenting adult sex workers is the problem with this particular endeavour. If you do want to know what the original concern was, ask, but i won't waste my time repeating it when i can see clearly that people are not paying attention to what is in the description on the website itself of who is welcome to comment with their letters, and who is not. If those parts were changed, excised from the site and the explanatory threads introducing the site, I guarantee no one would say anything other than 'great job, i've sent my letter'. Then, having expressed these concerns, instead of cooperation and agreement that it is problematic and exclusionary, all I've seen is dismissal of those concerns, and a basic, if you don't like it, too bad for you attitude (not necessarily from MJL, but someone willing to speak on behalf of the site, but still, not helpful at all) Post July 11, by Pascale Robitaille, who saw the site without the benefit of an introduction from a sex worker she knew I am assuming https://www.facebook.com/groups/my.favorite.abolitionist/

4 pointsThere is a difference between adding narratives that highlight how sex work has been a positive employment choice, and comparing one tier to the other as saying they are "less than". I'm not against adding more voices to the experience of being in the sex industry. By all means, let's hear from as many different experiences as we can. I don't agree with comparing or differentiating ourselves, or having to legitimize our work by declaring ourselves as "happy" or "high class" or implying that mental health issues are a "class" issue.
-
3 pointsIf a bunch of clients blazed forward with a project trying to represent what they feel is the majority of clients and you knew that the public will paint you with that brush and you feel that while the intentions are pure but the method is flawed and will bring a negative response and actually be USED AGAINST clients, would you voice your concerns? Just because they say "if you don't like it don't participate" doesn't mean that the words you don't like and don't agree with won't be used AGAINST YOU by the abolishment groups. It's not squabbling, it's others trying to have their voice heard and fearing the reaction from outside sources because of the words of others! I've explained how I feel about this and why on other forums, that is all we can do. But guys don't criticize us for voicing our concerns! This affects us too, we have a right to share our feelings. Unfortunately the outward reaction by those who are in charge of this group is apparent dismissal so far. I truly hope that changes because it's going to drive a rift between groups of women that should be listening to each other and trying to work TOGETHER.

3 pointsThis will be a short one, because, at this moment, I can't bring myself to write the many paragraphs I'd like in order to express how I feel. Perhaps this says it best: LOVE is enough: though the World be a-waning, And the woods have no voice but the voice of complaining, Though the sky be too dark for dim eyes to discover The gold-cups and daisies fair blooming thereunder, Though the hills be held shadows, and the sea a dark wonder, And this day draw a veil over all deeds pass'd over, Yet their hands shall not tremble, their feet shall not falter; The void shall not weary, the fear shall not alter These lips and these eyes of the loved and the lover. William Morris As long as I feel so deeply attached to someone else, I have nothing to offer another. Love is not finite, but my time and attention is, and I feel I owe it all to him. I hope never to awaken from this dream in which my solitude, though not erased, is suddenly made bearable by the selfless friendship of a kindred spirit. Many thanks to all of you who have treated me with such kindness and respect. I leave with fond memories. To my colleagues who have risen to the level of lifelong friends: stay in touch! To those I've met or spoken to: all the best! To the community: stay strong, fight hard, it's a long battle against stigma and prejudice, but those of us who know the truth and can speak owe the effort to those that are less fortunate. I depart in order to pursue a happiness greater than any I thought possible, a future as fulfilling as the dreams sold to me in childhood fairy tales. Life is long and arduous, thus I refuse to let any small spark of joy pass me by unexplored. Farewell, with my greatest and warmest wishes that you too find such delight in life! XOXO Ksenia

2 pointsHello everybody, Thought I would introduce myself and ask for some advice. A bit about me: I am 26, ex-military, vegan, an animal rights and autism awareness activist, and a high school tutor in my spare time. I am based in St. John's, NL, and completely new to this kind of scene. I recently went through a series of very bad experiences relationship-wise and am no longer interested in traditional relationships but I still want to develop meaningful connections and add some adventure to my life. However, I have no idea where to begin. I have Autism and even though I am highly intelligent and have a lot of 'worldly' experience (mostly with hardship) I have a great deal of difficulty with even simple social interaction, let alone the rules for contacting, meeting and interacting with an SP. I was wondering if anybody would be kind enough to tell me what things I should do to prepare, to expect, what questions to ask, etc, even if it is something that is usually taken for granted that people know. I have been researching a lot of stuff on these boards but I usually need instructions to be extremely specific to be able to understand. I have only ever been with one woman, who herself had some serious mental issues, so I would consider my sexual experience rather limited, even though I am confident with what I do know. I was also wondering if there were any ladies in my area who enjoy working with 'new' guys and teaching them things about this industry and sex in general. Thanks!
-
2 pointsYeah, if other sex workers think your site is an abolitionist joke site, you've got problems. But they want to make this all about the name "happy hookers." I don't care if you want to self-identify that you're a happy hooker. Cool. Go nuts. But again, the problem is that arguing that you're "happy" in your work and deserve rights alienates anyone who doesn't love this job and is doing it because it was the best available option, or people who are merely ambivalent--they do it because it is good money, etc. Not everyone loves being a sex worker but they still deserve rights. And let's not forget, a sex worker recently testified at the JC and Conservative MP Stella Ambler said, "you sound like a happy sitcom hooker." Abolitionists use that language. Sex worker orgs have all gotten together and we have a clear message that we are trying to send and it isn't "we're happy, so give us rights." It's "the laws harm us, don't kill us with your fucked up laws."
-
2 pointsI struggle to believe that they don't read anything we are saying, but they are selectively replying to certain things and completely ignoring the other things. To say I'm shitting on a sex worker group pretty much proves that point. Either she doesn't comprehend what's being said or she's ignoring it and trying to misdirect by lashing out at me/others. The name is the least of my concerns, it's pretty simple and not clever really (done before, used against us already). Frankly if they can't see how this divisivion of us/them is hypocritical and harmful then I question their ability to really spearhead anything progressive. To completely ignore or disregard the legitimate concerns of other workers who are doing their best to remain diplomatic in the face if a higschool attitude of "don't like it? Too bad! We don't care!" is again telling. Emily Muse let me join you in your shock at the way this is being handled! (We can perhaps have a shock party? Wear party hats?) None of is said this IDEA is bad. Do not get confused, we should have representation (well we already do, so we could have MORE representation) but the execution of the idea has some issues that I think will work against you in the end game. Where's the democracy here?
-
2 pointsMy CERB Goddess Of The Day today is Miss Jessica Lee No, I haven't had the pleasure of meeting her. But her website www.happyhookersofcanada.com is a forum for like minded SP's and has an avenue to express how being a professional companion has been a positive choice for them in their life. Having a forum like this allows ladies to express how choosing to be a professional companion has been positive for them, in their life, instead of being stereotyped as a victim by MacKay and the rest of the intolerant CPC and religious zealots. And as a side note, after reading Jessica's letter on how being an SP has been a positive and empowering choice for her, I feel less like a john and perv ;-), and more like a gentleman who enjoys female companionship :-) RG

2 points|Go look at the In the News section and click on the links to the various other articles. Make notes of the points that you want to make, and in the way you want them to come out. Make note also of the legal section thread, as knowing that certain things are already illegal, and will continue to be legal is very important when reporters are asking questions about C36. say things like "in spite of what the Rescue Industry is trying to get people to believe ..... " :)
-
2 pointsGo for it. But you should ask for the questions before hand so you know whats in store for you.
-
2 pointsI use Dove just because there is very little scent. A fresh bar for each client although probably not necessary germ wise would still be more preferable from my point of view. Your new shower sounds wonderful by the way. Nice addition to your spa!

2 pointsI know I'm a huge Eric and now a Berlin fan. They are two of the most articulate women I've seen post, they come across as very thoughtful and intelligent. Lady-crush!
-
2 pointsTake care and if you proceed make sure you are well prepared. Might even ask them to let you have some of the questions in advance. Sometimes the article doesn't always reflect what so said, they do have constraints on how they write it up.

2 pointsSorry, Jess. I don't believe in advocating that one type of work is "awful" compared to another. There are "high-end" escorts who have mental health or addiction issues, just as there are street-based workers who freely choose their work. We don't look down upon someone working at McDonalds or bartending to get their next fix. We don't assume everyone who is a server is a drug user. Why continue to uphold these stereotypes? Yes, social issues such as affordable housing, accessible education, health care, etc. should be addressed but not at the expense of a group of people. We can tell our stories of how sex work has benefitted us, how this is a legitimate enployment for many, but we don't need to do so while comparing "us" to "them ".

1 pointHi, I thought I would start this thread to recognize the women of Cerb who have reached the 100,000 visitor mark. I find this a remarkable achievement for someone to have attracted a 100,000 visitors to their user page. This is the about the population of a small city. I only know of a handful of women that have accomplish this feat. So if you know of any other women that have reached this mark, please add them to this list. I have not visited all the profiles yet :) This woman is a favourite of mine and of Ottawa, she is from Toronto and her name is SweetShay. She just reached the 100,000 mark today. I know because I was her 100,000 visitor. lol The next one is one of Ottawa's most reviewed SP. Her name is SexxxyRebecca. I think that she has the highest visitor count that I've seen so far. One of Ottawa's most popular and sexy MA is probably Claire Heavens who had reached a Roaring 100,000 visitors earlier on this year. Another beautiful and sexy MA from the Quebec side is Katrine Cannon who is actually trained in Massage :) and has just recently reached the 100,000 visitor mark. And another long time Cerb favorite, the beautiful and sexy Meg O'Ryan a big time contributor to Cerb threads. Please join me in a tribute to these women on their remarkable achievement :) They truly are all beautiful, sexy and a pleasure to be with. I know, because it's been my honour and pleasure to have spent time with these wonderful women :) I've noticed that a few more women are going to be reaching the 100,000 mark in the very near future. When they do, please add them to this list.

1 pointWow. Im shocked. You all are assuming so much. Do you shit on survival sex groups because they leave out retired ones? Or exclude high end call girls? Or dont speak for gay sex workers? Look, this all started because im writing a paper to send to the Senate. I thought some letters from some of the successful women ive worked with could strengthen my arguments. For those that dont know, i was an MPA for 8 yrs before retiring to open MUSE. I had noticed a post from Jessica & decided to contact her. She loved the idea & its grown into a mission to collect 1000 letters from "happy" sex workers. 1. "Happy" can mean many things. It does not exclude anyone. 2. The letters specificall ask to include suggestions for the gov on how to make YOUR particular situation better. 3. The letters we have received range from sparkly strippers with sugar daddies to oiled up massage girls paying for college to street level workers who found enjoyment thru connection. We have stories from owners, and from clients. They are beautiful unique stories. Some sad. Some joyful. All impactful and important they be heard. This movement is only to voice our stories, our experiences. I had an amazing career. Im very lucky. I in turn provide an amazing experience for my staff. Paying it forward is part of my everyday life. I use my real name at times, my face is outthere, im in the media weekly. Im an open book. This is a very personal mission for me. I firmly believe that many women choose sex work to get ahead. Thats MY experience. I felt last week that MY experience wasnt expressed in the hearings. HHC is what has come about from 2 women who feel the same liberty from sex work, who compiled ideas which stretch out long past bill c36 to help ALL sex workers find their success. ie: find their "happy", be it in or out of sex work. Eventually, this could be a resource for outreach, information, resources, assistance, and team work. For now, the main objective is to gather as many letters as possible. Period. YOUR story, no matter what it consists of, is welcomed and encouraged. We need all of our collective voices to be heard. We want maximum impact. And that takes #s. You dont have to like the name. Every media agent ive spoken to gets it. Its controversial. Think "Slutwalk". Its memorable, headliner, and gets the message across. WE decide when we're happy or not, WE decide when we retire, WE decide who we see or who we dont. NOT the government! #rightsnotrescue Lets put the focus back on having the Senate hear from sex workers.

1 pointFirst off, the very first encounter you ever have, if at all like me, will be both terrifying, and exciting at the same time. But overcome the fear of seeing a companion (I know, easier said than done) and book an encounter with a companion who interests you Avoid sites, JMO of course, like BP and CL. CERB is a good forum and community to find a companion who interests you. In addition CERB has a recommendations page, here it is for St Johns http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=264 That would be a good start to find a companion who interests you. Now once you see a lady's profile and she interests you, contact her through her preferred method of contact, be it email, text phone call etc Be respectful when contacting her. You should explain up front when you contact the lady that you have autism, and how it manifests itself, so the lady will know what to expect when she meets you Also, you need to decide whether you are going to have an incall or outcall Incall you go to the lady's place, Outcall the lady comes to your place (usually a hotel). Once a date is booked, whether incall or outcall, GO THROUGH WITH IT The lady has set aside a block of time to see YOU based on your word that you are going to show up. As enjoyable and sociable this lifestyle is, it is for guys an escape, for the ladies, their livelihood, their job. If you don't show up that is a block of time the lady could have used for another client. And any nervousness, heart pounding etc, it's normal...all part of the excitement of a date. I get that way even with ladies I have seen before...the day there is no nervousness, heart pounding, excitement, that's the day I quit. I say this so you don't cancel because you might get nervous BTW here is a link to another thread which may be useful more on following instructions http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=78942 The money, put in an envelope and discretely lay down on a table (if incall) for the lady to pick up and count. Don't be offended if she does count. You may wish to include a gift (gift cards are a good option, the lady may have a website with suggestions for gifts) If you are having an outcall then just leave the envelope on your table One thing about the lady's donation, don't negotiate her rate. Her rate is her rate, and not something to haggle over...that's a sure way not to get your email/text returned Finally, some ladies employ screening/verification. That means providing your real name, phone, email and reference. First, don't be afraid of this, many ladies employ screening, it is a routine part of seeing a professional companion. Seeing as you are new, you wouldn't have a reference. But if you want to make a good first impression, on your introductory email, provide other verification information, it shows openness and trust. The lady may have other ways to verify you since you have no reference Anyhow, that's a lot to absorb, I know. And I probably forgot something, so others may add to this Good Luck RG

1 pointWell my two cents. At home I use Dove Men Care bar soap. But for an incall location, don't use bar soaps of any sort...went to one incall a few years back and all the lady had was a used bar of soap...GROSS!!!...I don't know who all had used that soap before. Personally I would recommend a neutral (no smell) body wash. That way no concerns for gentlemen who have wives/SO's having a perfume/cologne smell on their bodies when they get home Also some guys may have sensitive skin, so a neutral body wash should be OK for their skin And if you do want to use bar soap, one bar of soap per client. If you can get a hold of hotel soap great. If you need to buy regular size soaps fine. But make sure each client has his own fresh still in the box, never used, soap. Nothing more gross than a used bar of soap My two cents RG

1 pointI'd met Savannah on a couple of occasions at socials in the past, but unfortunately I'd never been able to see her.... properly. Well, on her last visit to Ottawa, my luck took a turn for the better; stars aligned, and more importantly, so did schedules. Booking was easy (although I guess that's the benefit of sorting things out well in advance). Waiting for the day to arrive was... less easy, but I managed. Well, the day arrived (eventually) and my impatience was finally sated... Savannah was every bit as lovely as my recollection. We exchanged news and talked for a while over a glass of wine, and to be honest if we'd done nothing else for my entire visit then I'd have considered it time well spent. However, that's not what happened... conversation progressed to kissing, which led to... well, bed. And you may rest assured that more fun stuff then ensued, although if you want to know what happened after that... if you've met her, you'll know; if not, you'll have to wait until Savannah returns to Ottawa, and then find out for yourself :) And really, you should. Your future self thanks you in advance for the happy memories.

1 pointHello there and welcome to CERB, thanks for the honest up front note. My first piece of advice is to go into the "new to this" section which you already found and read the sticky notes at the top. This is great information for anyone new to the industry. It provides a lot of great details about contact, what to expect etc. This will give you a solid basis and a little more comfort. If there is something you need to be more specific for your understanding, ask about it. This way you don't get overwhelmed or bogged down. Next I would recommend doing your homework. Find ladies that appeal to you and read their posts and website and get a feel for who they might be in person. When you find someone you like, contact them via their preferred method. The most important step for you would be contact. This is when it's important to be up front an honest about what you might need or issues you might have in regards to the social interaction. While autism is more well known, unless someone is dealing with it regularly or aware of the variances, they need to be informed so they can help make your experience the best for you. Good luck and most of all, enjoy the journey, it can be a wonderful ride.

1 pointI have to admit that I am frustrated with the negativity on both sides of the debate. The anti-prostitution groups are negative but then again so is our side. At committee, I saw two pro-prostitution witnesses with a hostile tone. This really does not help the issue. Additionally, Twitter has been aflame with vitriol on both sides and it is just so unnecessary. The industry would be better served if we demonstrated some class and dignity. Until the industry demonstrates that we are more than just our job then we will always lose. The Kwetoday blog is certainly a step forward - I am delighted.

1 pointI completely agree, personally the best orgasm I have ever had was when I was with someone who "warmed" me up with a nice long body massage. For play is so important and having someone who appreciated that was a real treat. Having time before hand where my body was being touched created quite the black out ending. ;)

1 pointIt is interesting how ideas come and go and then come back again. Way, Way back when the AIDS virus was a new and terrifying part of sexual life(and no one knew much about it, other than if you got it, it was a death sentence) Double bagging was fairly common....I remember it being a real bummer, couldn't feel much of anything.....but on the other hand, it definitely made me realize for the first time, that the ability to orgasm or not is more controlled by the mind than the tip of my penis.

1 pointGood morning folks I would like to know some recos for a MA who includes anal play in their massage. To me nothing feels better than having a finger or two inserted in me as part of the massage especially with some slow anal teasing. I thank you in advance. Posted via Mobile Device

1 pointShe lies tantalizingly on her stomach, and wiggles her ass for attention, turning her head, smiling sweetly, to invite and tease me. I kiss her gently all the way down her back, and for the first time my mouth slides between her ass cheeks, kissing and licking. Contact. Engagement. Excitement. I gasp with the pleasure of it, and of what's to come. My tongue and lips start to probe slowly, and then I encounter the spot I've been seeking. She moans, and thrusts in greeting and acceptance. What happens next is a dance of ecstasy. I feel united with this beauty, and I lose myself in the lust she awakens in me. She bucks and thrusts against my mouth, my tongue, as I explore lovingly all around her. My hands grasp her, and spread her wider. She begins to finger herself, with more and more intensity, and then the thrusting becomes frenzied and passion overtakes us both. Time to roll over, I say. We laugh together, and she turns.....
