I've been quite quiet about this bullshit bill but I am so sick and tired of the fear it's creating for the hobbyists, it's literally making me sick. I get PM's "You are on my wish list, I need see you before the bill passes", I'm starting to find these PM's insulting, I as many other Companions are established and safe to see no matter what and I'm upset that the hobbyists are in such a frenzy of manic panic and that is what they want. Screw the bill if it passes, we will need to change the language when communicating but how hard is that. I and many Companions have established businesses as Companions, we are reputable and legit Companions. From Coast to Coast there are hundreds of reputable Companions like myself that are safe to contact and you know we are not LE. Just a suggestion. Make a list, possibly an Excel sheet with the established, reputable and trusted Companions you see and want to see with all their contact information (Name, email, phone # and website), password protect it and either put it on a USB or email it to yourself or whatever but put it in a safe spot. Anyways, I see it like this. I Lexy Grace am an Elite Courtesan Companion, the donation I receive is for my time and companionship only. Whomever I am spending time with we could be watching a movie or having dinner. That person just wanted companionship and company. I am not selling sex, I am selling time for someone to spend with me. I have many encounters options that don't involve anything physical, if we happen to have sex, that was free. They paid for my Time and Companionship Only. I have something in motion if the bill passes to ensure my safety and that of the person I am spending quality time with as a companion for time and companionship only. What I have in motion will be available soon. Just some tweaking and word play but I have been working hard on this. These are just my thoughts and what I have been holding in way too long, I'm sure some will disagree but there is no need to start a negative debate over something that is just so wrong and negative already IMHO. All My Love, Hugs and Support, Lexy

Like others, a persons marital status doesn't bother me. Many SPs are married or in relationships also. Would that deter a client? I don't have time for a client who speaks negatively about his wife however, and if I encounter this I will not repeat with that client. But that has EVERYTHING to do with respect, and nothing to do with marital status!

I personally have recos listed under Ottawa and Nova Scotia (Halifax). I put links to them in my ad. And if a lady has recos from multiple cities and is diligent in her advertising, she will do the same. Even though I am based in Ottawa, if I was to return to Halifax, I would expect a potential client might appreciate the fact that a client from that city posted a reco previously. Reading this thread made me dizzy. I may be missing the point, but ladies often have recos in multiple cities. Why is it a big deal all of a sudden?

I have seem this question before and its very interesting that you guys ponder this. Most of our guests are married and well the ones we know really well we even chat occasionally about their home lives, wives, kids etc. It doesn't matter to me at all if you wear your ring at all. Unless of course its a two pounder and then I may be afraid of being scratched or pinched. My opinion is wear it, if you start taking it off and putting it back on then you are going to lose it. Could be hard to explain how a perfectly fitting ring fell off your finger.

This is the reddest of all red flags.

Over the last two days I have been having family arrive back home to Halifax from where they all have moved either out West and Ottawa for our first family reunion since my Nan (The Rock of Family) passed over a decade ago. It's going to be so wonderful, I haven't seen most of them in over 10yrs. Today will be a good day with family, food and love.
  12. 2 points
As a married person, I wear the ring. I never had an SP ask me about it. Also, I don't think anyone noticed. It definitely did not affect the service I received ;-) I'm guessing that if this was a concern to an SP then the probably wouldn't be involved in this business to begin with. The main reason I kept the ring on was the same point that Katherine made. If you are taking if off and on all the time you are more likely going to lose it.
  13. 2 points
Personnaly it doesn't bother me and I have seen lots. It would be a question of "are you comfortable wearing it"...If so, my guess is the majority of us wouldn't care or even notice it. And besides...its none of our business ;) Bianca

This thread does seem to be about two questions, and though I didn't see the post that spurred this one I would like to comment on the "piling on" idea. It's actually a tricky issue, I think. There are times after all when it's somewhat appropriate for everyone to have their say, even if they're repeating what's already come before. Sometimes people say or ask something where it's useful to get a clear sense of the common opinion or etiquette. Or if someone suggests something truly inappropriate, having several people all come down reinforcing the same point can be a good thing to ensure a clear message is sent. Something like a poster who suggests it's OK to haggle a lady's rates, for instance. However, other times it does seem like someone asks a question in good faith, or makes an innocent breach of etiquette, and the next thing you know multiple people are responding with the exact same points. I suspect I've even been guilty of this myself, so I don't say this as if I'm somehow above it all. I can even understand why it happens. This is a forum after all. People come to share their opinion, and it's simple human nature to want to add your voice to a discussion. However, I can also see the problem when this goes too far. I can think of a couple threads where the OP would post again to say they had clearly got the message and had changed their mind and thanks for the info, and yet people still keep replaying with the same answer. Again, I get why, but I also get that the OP probably starts to feel bullied after a while (even though this isn't the intention of the other posters). The effect, unfortunately, is that a person becomes reluctant to post anything or ask questions. This doesn't make for a friendly, non-static forum. For my part, I'll try better in the future to keep this in mind. Often it's worth adding your own words, to share a new point or view or clarify a previous one. But in some cases it's probably more friendly and sufficient to simply use the thanks/nomination buttons to add one's support to an idea and leave it at that. Again, I say all this without accusation or reference to the other thread. Just some general thoughts.

I'm waiting for the first judge to throw out the first case. Officer, you are charging this person with the purchase of sexual services is that right? What exactly do you consider sexual services? Well, you know, like the lady says, 'everyone knows' what sexual services are. Oh, really.

I have written quite a few highlights on here over the past few years but none can beat this one. I met my new grandson yesterday when he was a mere two hours old and it was amazing. My first grandchild and special beyond special. It was my own very special birthday gift. Thanks again to those who have mentioned this here in the various threads and little PM's and it so nice to be a part of such a community as we all are.

I see many comments on posts that come across like the person posting was a buffoon, as if all the rules and common sense are straight-forward, and no one could possibly have posted something/somewhere what they did. Recently there was a recommendation on a lady from Ottawa, but the poster saw her in another city. He posted both in the city he saw her, and her home city. People jumped on and question the poster why he did that....really... think about it.. and not just in this case. If the lady works out of a home city, why wouldn't the home city people want to see a recommendation too, why does it have to be in the city that the person was seen. I think it is perfectly acceptable what was done. My question is why do people feel that they should jump on things like that and come across as extremely critical? It isn't even consistent with the principals of the board of, if you haven't got something nice to say, don't say it at all. What is everyone's views? I don't think these types of responses are very helpful for anyone.

You weren't asking for it...I don't see a problem with Mod. If you had asked for someone providing that service, that would get you in trouble Good of you to ask for advice though, that's doing your thinking with the big head. Good Luck RG

BIG ALARM BELLS should be going off. If she offers it to you, she's likely offered it to others too. Don't ask for it and stay away from those offering it. It is the one service that if asked for on this board will ban you Here is the CERB policy http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_rules Our postition on services offered or seeked out on cerb. CERB neither advocates nor endorses any service advertised or discussed by any provider or any client on this board. We DO NOT allow advertising or discussion that involved unprotected sexual intercourse (BBFS = Bare Back Full Service). Those found advertising this service or seeking this service will be immediately banned from the site without warning. You'll find CERBite's here probably across the board (pardon the pun) against BBFS. If this lady advertises it and is on CERB you should contact Mod. Otherwise, my advice is stay away from her My two cents RG

Most guys I know are on other boards as well. This is by far the tamest board I have ever seen. It is very different posting here than on other boards and sometimes people forget that. I do all the time. If you think people here are rude you should go to some biker boards or political forums. Edit...Re buffoons. The 'biker' board I am on had a thread about a certain tool, very very expensive and desirable. The Op described it in great detail and mentioned that some bits are interchangable. Very first response...'can the bits be changed with other bits?' Then there's a volley of well deserved abuse and neg repping. Same thing happens here. A poster will describe an encounter in detail. He mentions a lady is 5'6". Soon someone posts "how tall is she?" This is pure laziness and buffonery. Not bothering to read a post completely and then asking questions that muddy up the thread. Some people want to be spoon fed all their information instead of spending a minute or two reading carefully. I suppose it is similar to Sps getting asked redundant questions that are answered on their website or ad. Sorry about the rant.

Thank-you IRDAVE for raising this question as I have pondered it for a long time. Also a big thank you to the ladies for responding. I am relieved to know it is not an issue with you. It is interesting that this question has bothered me for a long time and I really do not understand why. Thanks again, the question and substantially all of the responses are appreciated.

If it bothered me, I would have quit this business a long time ago. I do not judge and I do not ask questions. In fact, if someone does sport their wedding ring, that tells me that they are confident that our arrangement is just that - an arrangement and by default trusting that I acknowledge their situation and that I will keep up my end of the bargain by remaining discrete. In fact when they do remove it and it's evident by tan lines, I just chuckle to myself because really it's not necessary. But I never draw attention to it.

I'm not counting on people's good sense, never said I was. I'm saying with C36 if a client reports seeing an underage prostitute, he is doing so in spite of the justice system, not because of it. The police however are counting on people's good sense. Anyone coming forward to police, well the police should be very appreciative. Will they be, probably not And for me, if I did see someone underage, I would report it...it can be done anonymously through crimestoppers etc. And LE tools like crimestoppers has worked for years, along with TIP's lines, anonymously calling dispatch etc. If they didn't work, police wouldn't have them. So I don't agree with the diffusion of responsibility argument. But a person coming forward using these resources is not doing it for police, but to help an underaged prostitute who is a victim If you stay anonymous, you run little if any risk of going to jail. Those truly afraid of going to jail after C36 aren't going to be seeing escorts anymore and thus not run into underage prostitutes. But I'm not ever likely to see an underage prostitute. I see reputable companions, those with a website, board handle and board presence well you get the idea RG

People who work in service industries work very hard and put up with a lot of crap. Been there, done that. Usually you can tell when someone is a hard worker and being able to keep on top of things while being friendly and polite. I will usually stick a toonie in the tip jar such as one of those frozen yogurt places. I always tip when I feel it's warranted even if it's just at one of those take out places. If it's at a restaurant and the server was very good, I will tip above what is expected of the 15% if they have made my experience that much better. Only 15% if they were okay.

Yes, I agree with you that written recommendations are a positive tool to help promote ourselves but my point was that it is not up to the gentlemen to double-triple-quadruple post recommendations in different cities to help "promote/expose" the ladies. I am also positive that when you are interested in spending time with a Cerb lady that you will at least visit her profile once or twice before seeing her. Accessible information can be found in more places than just the reco section itself aka her profile. If you can't find anything, a single inquiry PM can also be sent... As you already know, there are many ways a gentleman can find information about a specific lady and I don't personally believe that "spamming" the site, in multiple cities, with duplicate recos, that gentlemen will have an easier time finding information. Where there's a will, there's a way ;)
  35. 1 point
There are many ways for ladies to provide information about themselves on Cerb, including reco links: - Directly on our profile's main page - In the "about me" tab of our profiles- there's a space called "Recommendation or URL of a page that is important to me here on cerb" - In her ads - Last but not least, on her website I have recommendations in at least 6 cities on Cerb and my gentlemen have no issues clicking on the links I provide them with to learn more about me. Plus, they can easily search my name on Cerb to find out even more so I do not think double posting recommendations is necessary at all. In the end, it's not a gentleman's responsibility to promote the ladies. It's up to the ladies to do that...

I agree with you on one thing, if the rules on this aren't clear enough, you should PM the Mod and let him decide Me, I'll write my recommendations the way I always have, one encounter recommended in the city's recommendation forum that I saw the lady in (I see a lady in Toronto, it gets reco'd in Toronto forum, if Ottawa, Ottawa's forum, and so on)...and not copied to other city's reco forums Funny, recommendations have worked fine till this one particular case. If the rules that unclear, you'd think there would have been a problem before now You want the Mods to rule, feel free to PM them with your concerns RG

How are those trying to silence a opinion any better than Harper et al trying to silence opposition to their agenda. Some would do well to remember Voltaire's line "I do not agree with what you have to say but I'll defend to the death your right to say it" Democracy thrives on freedom of speech, expression, and thought. Those trying to curb those freedoms are just as bad as a government trying to silence any other opinion but their own. And there is more than just one right opinion Keep up the good work Jessica Lee, don't let the others get you down or silence you Posted as my freedom of expression rambling RG

This bill is soooo screwed, it's not even funny! Look at how much is open to interpretation! I will laugh if this bill gets tossed out. The Cons are heading down a road where they shouldn't be going when they have no clue what they're talking out. If they lose the next election, it will be someone else's mess to clean up when shit hits the fan. Typical Cons.. you won't be getting my vote you bunch of idiots!

Keep in mind down in the United Stated where prostitution is illegal (for the most part) high end upscale (for lack of a better phrase) companions/courtesans, whatever term you like employ screening/verification, it doesn't seem to be an issue And one could always join a verification site (ie Date Check, SP411 etc, if they prefer) Right now, there is fear of the unknown. But and just my opinion, should gentlemen stick with reputable companions here, there shouldn't be a problem. Avoid places like Backpage, CL and most definitely streetcorners Anyhow, a rambling RG

In theory the idea of Clients reporting on potential trafficking sounds like a good idea... the survey results are probably accurate and most clients would want to do the right thing... the problem is that those clients are also probably the least likely to be booking with potentially trafficked or abused SP'S. I have seen SP'S for almost 30 years in a number if Canadian Cities... i don't see street workers and tend to book with established ladies with websites and recommendations so in all that time I have never met with an SP who I was worried about their physical safety. So yep its easy for me to say I would report however chances care I will never have anything to report. Now all that said I think it would be wise for LE to make it as easy and risk free for clients to report as even one reporting would be valuable. Just my opinion.

So here it is.. the question that I have not seen on here yet, but a question that should come up often and should be openly and comfortably talked about with out prejudice. This question is open to all. How Often do you get tested? As you know..sex work in Ontario is not yet legal. So given that information, there is no mandatory testing done in order to obtain, or even maintain employment in this industry, like with other countries such as Australia and Europe for some quick examples. And even lesser, there is absolutely nothing mandatory required of a client. Because I consider myself to be a professional, I only practice the in safest ways possible in order to assure my own sexual health. I believe when you work with your body you should be a specialist in safety. I don't play roulette with my health, take no chances and have in past refused clients with ill hygiene. ( yes even just for a HJ, ) I Personally get tested every 3 months, with anonymous HIV testing and annual pap tests (for women only). Because Yes, I am sexually active in my personal life. The massage service I provide does not necessarily increase my risk, although it could, I understand the importance of safety because I have a high standard of courtesy and respect fir my self my clients, and whom ever may be in my personal life. In other countries the workers check for visual signs of disease ( STI'S ) using a flashlight and wash you down with a hospital grade soap. As well as (for sex workers) use condoms dental dams, and some get tested as often as weekly!! Although this is a serious topic, I want to emphasise that I believe sexual activities should be fun and enjoyable !! So back to my question A. "how often do you get tested" ? Follow up questions: B. Do you believe sexual activity with sex workers increases your chances of receiving STI'S? MA or SP. C. Is it safer then say, a girl you pick up at a bar ?? D. Do you think the average woman or man should take the same precautions ? E. How have you been pro-active about your health lately?
  49. 1 point
This is a great topic. I have to admit that I do not get regularly tested because I do not do high risk activities; full sexual intercourse is where there is the real risk of STI's. I prefer reverse massage, body slides and hand jobs because these are negligible risk activities. I try not to get paranoid. You could get a cold sore from sharing a cigarette or you could get shingles from accidentally using someone else's towel at the gym. To be totally safe, you would have to walk around in a hazmat suit. However, if I were to have sex, I would take testing seriously. People who have a one-night stand with someone whom they meet at the nightclub are taking a bigger risk than people who do sexual activities with an SP. Coincidentally, I have recently spoken to several young adults about the topic of STI's. I had assumed that young adults in their twenties would be well informed about the prevention of STI's. I was shocked to talk to young women who use the pill or an IUD but do not use a condom when having a one-night stand. I was shocked to hear young men casually laugh about having picked up chlamydia from a one-night stand. The average man and woman in the nightclub is at great danger of contracting a deadly STI. One-night stands happen between people who are too drunk to consider using condoms or too drunk to use condoms properly. Hobbyists and SP's are aware of what our relationship is. The hobbyist respects that the SP is providing a professional service and that there is a protocol to follow.
