I sincerely and respectfully disagree with the comments that were written about that article arguing that her action is wrong and unprofessional and unethical. I gave this opinion once before when the topic was in the news and the silence was understandably deafening, but I shall repeat it. IF someone truly believes that Bill C-36 will cause physical harm and or death to even one sex worker, then I argue that taking whatever legal action is required to prevent that from happening is not only acceptable but also a responsibility. If that includes naming a client then so be it. If I threatened a sex worker with physical harm then the fact that I had been a paying client should NOT give me immunity. Threatening to release the names of clients who are planning an action that will kill women is not enough. Doing it after the bill is passed is irresponsible. I argue that if her statements are true then the information should be released immediately to the press before the law is passed and then let the press do the job that they have thus far chosen not to do. Their are ways to do it. In 1974 Deep Throat, whoever he is is unknown to this day, along with press investigation brought down a presidency. I do believe that the hypocrisy of some of these government members, NOT their use of legal sex workers, could cause this government to fall, and this bill along with it. I am writing a totally politically incorrect comment that most will disagree with. I know that. There is no way that any sex worker or perhaps any client should publicly agree with this. In all honesty I've always felt the "nice guys finish last" idea is a myth, or as others have suggested some of those guys who say they're nice aren't using the same interpretation of the word as the ladies would! There's some confirmation bias going on here too. People get the idea that nice guys don't fare well and when they look around (or check their own experience) they find an example of where that seemingly was true. Suddenly the evidence seems everywhere...if that's the evidence you're looking for! But objectively if you look around there's all kinds of nice guys in happy relationships, just like there's all kinds of not-so-nice guys striking out. Sometimes I think it seems like the "bad boys" are getting more dates not because they are bad but because they are more confident and so willing to ask for a date (and also because they get dumped more often and so end up asking more people...whereas the nice guy get held onto). Being nice--as in being genuinely nice and respectful--is generally only going to help. Being nice because you think it will get you something...not so much. I'd also guess that being nice by itself...without being interesting or confident, is only going to get you so far. And perhaps that's what some guys find change when they adjust how they act: it's not that they aren't still nice, it's just that they are more confident and independent. But hey, at the end of the day you also simply can't come up with rules for what all women want. Women--People--are simply too complex and varied for such. You just have to look around this site to see the range of variety in what people find interesting, engaging, and attractive. No judgments intended in any of this by the way, just some thoughts.

But surely everyone - even non anime-geeks - has heard about the new Sailor Moon Crystal series? As an old-school Sailor Moon fan, I was really looking forward to the new series. I like that they have kept true to the old series, but made some changes in plot. And holy smokes, I LOVE Jupiter and Mars' new transformations!

A succinct definition I read somewhere that identifies Nice Guys (the bad kind) from actually nice guys is that Nice Guys tend to approach women as machines where if you put in enough kindness coins, sex falls out. Well, you've seen some of the classics! Good stuff depends on what you're into. There's a genre for everything. Do you like mecha stuff and sci-fi? Do you like thrillers or horror? Fantasy/adventure? Time of Eve is a great anime movie. It's about a time when we have real androids who are among us as caretakers. They all have to have a ring projected above their heads so you can tell them apart from humans. It's got some powerful subtext and it's a great story. I definitely recommend it to anyone - anime fan or not. As for series, I can only recommend ones that I have seen and enjoyed - and I like mostly horror/demon/fantasy stuff. Death Note. This is a very well known anime series. It's about a kid who finds a shinigami's (Death God's) note book. There are rules about how to use the book. You can specify the exact time and nature of someone's death, and so on. It's a pretty good psychological thriller. Honestly, about half way through it seems the plot is going awry and I almost stopped watching it, but I was glad I kept with it because of the big twist near the end. If you enjoy suspenseful, slightly dark stuff then you'll enjoy Death Note. I also frequently recommend Black Butler or Kuroshitsuji. It's also a sort of psychological drama, but with more silliness and comedy thrown in. A boy is the heir to a candy empire - set in Victorian London - and his family was killed. Long story short, he made a deal with a demon to get revenge, and this demon became his butler. Ciel - the boy - is called The Queen's Watchdog, among other things, because he is often called upon to investigate things in and around London. So each episode deals with whatever he's investigating, but overall there's a clear reminder that Sebastian - the demon butler - is only in this to eat Ciel's soul. In the end, there is a great twist and Ciel outfoxes the demon. They just rebooted the series as Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus. It's a bit campier than the original series, so I won't recommend it to start. But if you enjoy the original Kuroshitsuji series, you will enjoy the new Book of Circus. Log Horizon is good. People get trapped in RPG they're playing. There's some comedy as everyone figures things out now that they're living in the game and start doing some minor adventuring. Then it gets a bit more serious as they realize the implications of all the NPGs and the lack of laws and government to keep the players from running amok. Blood Lad is hilarious and had me in stitches most of the time. It's got some funny references in the first episode about Final Fantasy and Dragon Ball. The protagonist is a vampire from nobility in the demon world, but he hates being a noble due to a falling out with his older brother. This vampire is a HUGE real-world fan, obsessed with anime, video games and otaku culture in the real world. Of course, a human female finds her way to the demon world, and he vows to help her return. Hilarity ensues. Bleach is a huge franchise, and one of the longest running anime series. It's over now, but I believe the manga is still going strong. It's worth looking into, though it's not everyone's cup of tea. I enjoyed in for the most part. The plot starts with Ichigo, a human who has a natural ability to see spirits. He sees a shinigami who is slaying Hollows (when spirits go bad and become monsters, feeding on other souls) in the human world. He sees her, and shit happens and he gets her powers. The first dozen episodes are developing the relationship between Ichigo and Rukia (the shinigami) and Ichigo's friends in the real world, who turn out to have powers of their own. Shit is happening in Soul Society - Rukia's world - and Ichigo helps out. It's hard to explain because it's such a long-running series. Best to wikipedia it for a more succinct breakdown. But it's good. Because it's such a long series, you really get to know all of the characters, and there's a huge number of them. If you really want to delve into a different world and spend a lot of time there, Bleach is a great option. Trinity Blood is another favorite of mine - and of many. It's post-apocalyptic where vampires and humans are at war, but many are trying for peace. It's another one that's a bit hard to describe, so wikipedia is a good place to get a better description. Those are some I would recommend to start. :)

From what I could find you have about 800 people killed by sheep in a year so perhaps we should watch out for the lowly sheep, they are menacing and vicious, sneaky and evil. :icon_wink: Or perhaps more importantly we can recognize that all human and non-human animal interactions require caution and care but it doesn't mean the animal is bad when someone is injured or killed. Predatory behaviour doesn't actually equal aggression, it's predatory behaviour and there is a difference, respond appropriately and you just might survive (assuming you aren't appropriate prey) but if you act like prey then you might find yourself in trouble. Of course if you respond with aggression then you will escalate a situation, this is true when dealing with anything in life, people or animals as aggression is aggression and we all fight for survival. We like to think we as humans are the ones that will win these interactions but the fact is when you take away our guns we are just poo flinging apes and pretty weak ones at that, not a great match for bears, sharks, wolves and coyotes. *Now this thread was about coats, perhaps someone has a great coat recommendation for the OP. Well when I started it averaged one date a month. Because of personal circumstances in my life it is reduced to a date once every few months My days of disappointing encounters is long gone though. While many guys use recommendations as a guide on who to see, what I found works for me is when a lady I trust and respect endorses (if that's the right word) another lady. Also, I repeat with ladies I have seen and have a good time with, which all but eliminates disappointing encounter. I've found one trick to avoid a disappointing date...stick with the ladies from CERB. All my bad dates were from CL, Er*s, and other sites.
