Another aspect of this to be considered is that once the magazine is loaded and fired, it can never again be reloaded. The threat of outing is far more intimidating than the actual naming of names. For the multitudes that could be named, only a percentage will catch a bullet and the rest will breath a sign of relief, the threat will be pretty much over. It will be big new once and only once; subsequent outings will be observed but will have the "already been there, did that" reaction in the public eye. This could only be done once or twice, then it would lose it's power. Our politicians are not rock stars, most people can't even name their MPs let alone recognize them on the street. The names would have to be so high up and relevant to todays government that the public immediately know who they are. I know who is in my blackbook, some are genuine power brokers in this country but Joe Public wouldn't know them at all. A few of them are elected officials, others are long term bureaucrats. None of these men would be recognized be anyone outside of the people who work on the Hill. The journalists would have a hay day researching these mens lives and terrorizing (I believe journalists are our homegrown terrorists!) the outed's loved ones gathering enough information to flesh out their characters to even make the public care enough to follow the story. By outing clients, the only winners are the media, everyone else loses... cat

Not sure if this belongs in this thread but I had a bit of a funny story about sti testing today (I know, "funny" and "sti testing" don't usually go together). Well, I think it's a good idea for everyone--hobbyists included--to get tested, and it had been a while for me so last week I finally popped over to one of the clinics and took care of it. Today I called in to get my results. Everything was going fine with the nurse rolling down the results one by one, telling me each time that it was negative. But then at the end she stumbled...paused...and then blurts out "oh, you got hepatitis". As you can guess I was a little shocked and didn't know what to say. So you can imagine my relief when she added "er...what I mean is you got hepatitis tested for...I'd missed that...not that you have it." And then after another pause she belatedly added "that was negative too". Phew. So yeah...I guess my message is it's important to get tested...but also make sure the nurse has finished her sentence before you freak out. :)

I am not getting into any of the details of what happened on my date with Carley or what services you might have access to. Just know this, I do not recommend everyone I see, only the absolute best of the best. Believe me, Carley is exactly that. She makes me feel special and expresses her pleasure to be with me. I'm a little confused by the logic behind your rational. Aside from the legalities involved, wouldn't it be more disastrous to be seen at a spa that offers erotic massage then to be seen at a busy hotel where you can say you are meeting a friend for coffee, meeting someone for lunch or even attending a business meeting with a client from out of town? If you are looking for discretion, a motel is also not the way to go: unless you're staying there, which you wouldn't be because you are a local, there is only one or two things that can be assumed if you are seen. Again, reserving a hotel room with a credit card and paying cash upon check out will leave no "trail" on your monthly statement.

Cats are well-documented sociopaths. They like randomly attacking your feet while you sleep, they like extremely expensive cat food by the name of "seafood buffet from under the sea infused with gold dust and the tears of humans", and they like emotional manipulation. Which brings me to their sadistic concept of gift-giving. My cat ignored my 30th birthday back in May. No presents, no well-wishes, nothing. Until this month. She has gifted me with: 2 dead pigeons in varying states of decomposition. 1 bug that was so big it must have migrated here from the Jurassic period. But I still love her! Touring can be lonely at times specially when visiting a new city...where to go, what to see...and by yourself it can be a long tour. This post is to mention 3 wonderfuls ladies I got the chance to spend time with in at johns and Halifax. I've driven by this place countless times but never went in. Curiosity finally got the best of me so I decided to give Tease Inc. a try. It was very very quiet...3 dancers and maybe 2 or 3 other customers (mind you, this was a Sunday night, and one of the staff told me it's significantly busier on Thurs. Fri. and Sat. nights.) However, the atmosphere was very laid back and friendly. I had a chance to get dances from all three ladies...My time with all of them was very enjoyable. All in all, a good night.

I'm not worried about entertainment - I've always found the people I've met at socials to be entertainment enough :) I'm fine with Kanata in principle, but I agree that ride-sharing or a bus or something would be very useful. We do, perhaps, need to do something about no-shows, especially if transport is an issue; it's not hard to overbook the social itself, but people who take up places on transport and then no-show (or drop out at short notice) will be a serious pain in the ass.

What may disappoint, however, is that neither of them works there any more :)

Personally, I usually just would signal them with a wave or a smile. If they're too far away, I'll ask the waitress to ask them if they'd like a drink or a shot. Those usually work for me. On the rare occasion I'll be more bold and walk up to them myself and ask them over. If a girl comes up to me I'm not interested in, I'll politely tell them I'm just there for the drinks or the show. Sometimes I'll say I'm waiting on someone if there's a girl I know that's in that will come sit with me at some point. If they get insistent (or pushy), I'll just keep saying 'No thanks' with a smile. I try to remember that they are there to make money, so I like to see them make the effort to see me. There are some that do, some that don't, and it's reflected in the way the encounter proceeds. We as providers and hobbyist are under scrutiny of the outside world. Facing names like John, who** cheaters, pervs, and I am sure much more. But we are so much more than those names. We are the ones brave enough to experience life as we see fit. . At the end of the day, we have chosen our path. For some of us, perhaps life lead us down this path. Maybe we choose this despite our upbringing? Maybe we hide who we are, but also proud of who we are. But sometimes... some others are not proud and are facing difficult life decisions on how does this affect the way we think on how we as persons should be treated and viewed. Recently, I met a lady who felt that she was not suppose to be proud, not suppose to be respected and not suppose to have self respect. For she had suffered from the hands of controlling people that made her believe so. This made my heart very sad, that such a lovely spirit could ever be made to feel that. This lady is so forgiving to her oppressors, that it made no sense to me. BUT her forgiveness taught me. It taught me, that she is much stronger then I ever could imagine. It taught me that if she could find a way to forgive and move beyond that experience, and yet still remain her true self then no matter what names we are called we can rise above that! She has no wish for harm, only to move forward head strong! I believe that once she learned to be proud of who she is. Knowing that she has value in this world no matter what job she takes on, that by showing her strength her oppressors has been silenced. They are too weak themselves to take on such a strong spirit and self confidence. I wrote this story in a singular stance, but in actual fact, this story is a compilation of many amazing women I have had the pleasure or working with! With each lady that I have worked with, ( as an agent ) this was the common dominator. Once they see how wonderful they are, what life can bring when you are positive and self proclaimed! Same story applies to our treasured hobbyist, so many times I have seen so many grow and learn why they visit. Sometimes, they even return to their " normal" life after experiencing this side of the tracks. And for them I am equally happy. Some choose that this is the only way they can maintain their "normal" life and that is also respected by me. I have met men that face abuse, oppression of sexuality and finances to the point their own health becomes at risk. I guess the whole point to this post, is that I want everyone, now matter what side of the fence your on.... To know your own self worth. To know that you are relevant to those around you. You deserve respect and do not let others make you feel less than you are! Strive to be the person you want to be, not the one you are TOLD YOU ARE! I love the description of sociopath. Fitting. As I run a cat rescue I have anywhere from 3 to 10 cars around. Right now I only have the 3. Girls are better hunters then boys though. I have one that brings me snakes. I was worried when I went to Arizona and worried she would come home with a rattler. She looks like foo man choo when she has a snake. One day I was complaining about one of the males being so lazy. Only the girls it seemed to be hunters. He looked at me and literally 5 minutes later brought home the biggest mouse. One of my mother cats brought a mouse inside for her babies to catch. I understood but was not impressed. They understand English, so be careful what you say when they are around.

Every now and then I see clients around in my area when I'm out and about and I prefer just to pretend we don't know each other especially if I'm with someone. Most I see with their wives and I act like I don't know them or go in another direction. I would never go up and talk to anyone ever. I give clients discretion and expect it in return. I do know a few clients who are for sure not attached and it's no big deal but I have known these people for a while and they are regulars. I will just wave or say "Hi" but only when I'm alone. One saw me in Ikea one day with a family member and we just smiled from afar at each other. It's funny because I did see one client and I was dressed down and they didn't recognize me. lol. Another saw me from afar at Starbucks and said I looked great wearing actual clothes other than what he was used to seeing me in which was lingerie. :)

Yes, I was referring to the notion that we should always act to minimize if not eliminate harm. I think we can all agree that C-36 is harmful. But as Mightypen points out, the difficulty is about what action to take. The effect from sensationalizing something (someone) that would go with outing a federal Conservative Party politician would likely be shortlived, since that politician can always be isolated and replaced. And let's get real: What are the odds that a government of a different political stripe would repeal C-36 after it becomes law, or even try to amend it? That's why it needs to be fought somehow before it can become law. Because as Mightypen also points out, a process is in place to challenge laws and have them changed. But that process is unreasonably long, especially considering the harm that can happen in the meantime.

I realize you are new to the board Sunman01 and am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt that you did not mean anything offensive by your wording but be advised I was taken back by it even before I read Katherine's well stated post. Just keep in mind that when we talk about respect we mean it as a full meal deal. Is is always to be displayed whether it be posts, private messages, emails, texts, enquirers, setting up a visit, punctuality, hygiene, courtesy, saying thank-you, understanding boundaries, discretion, everything. The ladies are great and they deserve our respect and appreciation. The question there would be what leverage does LE have over sps? They have worded the laws specifically to ensure there is no chance of pressing any charges against sps for any reason (other than street work in school zones). The chances of pressuring sps under this legislation is zip. That's why i dislike all this fear mongering speculation. It is a presumption of US style lawmaking, and C36 is not imposing US style laws. US style laws meaning pressuring sps to cooperate in order to reduce or eliminate charges against themselves, to avoid arrest. Even then, they don't necessarily get a client list, they just reuse the sp's location and advertising (and reviews) in order to lure clients over for a sting. They aren't contacting anyone on lists kept by the sp.

Being home after being gone for an entire week! I love vacation time, I love traveling and meeting new people but it feels great to be back home with family, pets included :)

I have been laying low lately as I have been very busy at work of late. Last night I decided that I needed a break in the routine and that I deserved to treat myself, so my search began. Glancing through the multitude of ads on BP ( a place that I seldom venture to) I came across the ad of a beautiful 34 year young courtesan from out west. Anytime I've been there (a few times this past winter), I have to say I was not impressed at all by this club. There was only ever 2 girls in (and not quite my type). They also seemed more interested in getting completely hammered with regulars and staff. The one time it looked promising, 4 girls left within 10 minutes if me getting there. All piling into one car and disappearing. Needless to say that was disappointing. The only thing I really enjoyed was talking with the bartender. And the price of the drinks can't be beat (too bad I always have to drive out there)

For me is the stigma that surrounds it. Although I have become rather outspoken about my profession, it is difficult to make new friends. I am fortunate now, as I have an incredible relationship, but before he came along I really did not like to date, was too tricky to have a double life, or to be honest to my date in fear he would use it against me if we fought, etc...so lack of intimacy tends to be there.
