I wanted to take some time and go over some details with a few activists before I made this post so you can understand the inner workings of abolishment agencies, those who support and pushed for C-36 to be brought forth. There are two main groups of people that support C-36. As you may have guessed some are run by religious factions and funded by church organizations. I do believe (and this is if my memory serves me correctly) that MP Joy Smith attends a church that supports or funds a Human Trafficking organization and that's how she got involved in the whole pro abolishment issue. When I say religious factions, I'm referring to strong religious beliefs that are anti pretty much everything, extremists. The other group consists of man haters. They blame men for everything, so no real explanation is needed for that and they too are extremists. They get their funding from the government (under a couple of misled idealisms), churches, sexist domestic violence organizations, programs and misleading the public about their organization. One of the largest agencies that runs a "man hating" organization and partook in the hearings is based in Vancouver. So this is what they do, they usually troll anti-C36 organizations on news articles, university studies, boards etc, anywhere that is public and they can "refute" claims made by sexworkers. They troll and look for any kind of "disparaging information" on review boards and I know two rather large abolishment agencies that do this on a regular basis. They'll take snippets of information here and there and put it all together and there's their "evidence". So how you talk to and about sp's on review boards and with some people it's not so nice, is taken by them, conflated 10 times worse than what was posted and voila, there's their evidence. Words on review boards, very much matter and although people have the right to express their views, understand you're not dealing with people that "get" someone may say something out of context or because they're having a bad day or week, whatever, it's used against us on an extremist level. And well, again some people are just not so nice to women in general on review boards, we've all seen it at one point or another. This is how they come up with their statistics in a lot of cases; let's say you're a 25 year old service provider and happen to look very young, underage in fact. You will automatically get put on the child trafficking list, they'll go through craigslist, backpage and other ad sites and they will purposely look for ladies that look young. They will then purport that there are X amount of ladies that are child trafficked and pimped (btw in their minds everyone is pimped) but they'll push the agenda more so the younger ladies are pimped and trafficked. If you're a minority and in particular of Asian descent you're a triple whammy. So they take the X amount of young ladies and minorities (one of the bigger agencies that if I recall correctly, did stats for Somaly Mam used this particular method) times that by .39 and this is how they come up with their "guesstimates" of how many "children are being human trafficked" and how many "minorities are being trafficked" .. so understand that they have NO real statistics at all, they are all just guesstimates. Now .39 may not seem like a big number but believe me it turns into a real large number when they're all said and done. Now as you may have guessed if they conflate stats for young women and minorities they surely must conflate their human trafficking stories and you would be right about that. Somaly Mam has been one of the biggest perps where this is concerned (google her, there are literally hundreds of stories about her and the celebrities, news agencies and other media outlets that supported her and her cause, with ZERO research being done into her story). Oprah, Susan Sarandon are just a few of her supporters - ZERO research. She's walked on more red carpets than your A-list celebrity has. And you know what the excuse is for her actions? Who cares if she lied, she saved thousands of women and children. YES, this is the garbage being spewed to our members of parliament based on ZERO FACTUAL evidence. Chong Kim is another big perp in this arena, she made the movie Eden which won several awards at many film festivals and her story is just beginning to unravel by our supporters. Her story was supposedly based on "true" story, which is false. So not only do they lie about stats, they also lie about being human trafficked. I'll post some more information sometime tomorrow, so you get an idea of what we're up against and EVERY effort, petitions, online or off, is a good attempt at getting attention and this is what we need, ATTENTION is a valiant effort, don't disregard it, take action. BUT to truly defeat Bill C-36 in a lot of orgs beliefs is by unraveling truth about how human trafficking is a big fat lie for the most part (it is a problem, don't get me wrong, but conflation is the biggest problem) and how the perpetrators are an even bigger problem. Tomorrow, I'll discuss what really happens to "rescued" victims. Additional Comments: If you read these articles it will give you a good idea of what I stated above, human trafficking victim fraud is very common and how they lie and conflate the stats, which makes for a nice chunk of change in their pockets. The film Taken was supposed to be based on a true story. Except the story wasn't true. http://www.tbd.com/articles/2011/01/bill-hillar-inspiration-for-film-taken-arrested-by-fbi-47382.html

I'm cynical and thus a firm believer in justice, not as a theological post-grave construct or a magic-karma thing but as a particular variation of the law of cause-and-effect. This is why I think we'll prevail. In more detail: We affirm our right to make a living using, amongst other things, our bodies ... as part of the interaction with other consenting adults who are within their rights to spend their own money in exchange for our services. Of course, so do actresses, and butchers & bakers & candlestick makers -- but somehow the sexual nature of our work inspires some folks to want to demonize us. Long term and perhaps not just long-term, what gives me hope is that we have truth on our side, i.e., we make our points with honesty as our basic premise. The "other side" seems to be using confusion and obfuscation ... and often blatant dishonesty. That bodes well for us. If anyone had any moral fuzziness on this point, this aspect in and of itself ... it should help clarify things, greatly. I've met Dennis Hof (who runs a number of legal brothels in Nevada) and worked with him over the course of several days, while making a website for one of his business ventures. I learned quite a bit about how he operates. I like how he deals with critics. He invites them, individually, for an all-expenses-paid week-long visit to one of his brothels. The critic (stereotypically, a conservative Christian female reporter or a faux-feminist reporter from the left side of the political spectrum) is not supposed to interfere with business (e.g., go confront clients or ruin the mood) but is welcome to wander around, look around, eat meals with the girls, and ask any questions of anyone and everyone who works there. By the time they leave, they've lost many illusions and the most honest amongst these critics have become convinced that their animosity was misguided. I hasten to add that some of the people who push for criminalization have so dishonest an axe to grind that no amount of reasoning will sway them, but if we can get the word out to the relatively rational voting public, it bodes well. It's time for paraphrase my favourite philosopher, Ayn Rand: on our side of the battle, we have three powerful weapons: rights, reason and reality. Let's use them. .Tanya Additional Comments: The basic issue is one of rights. We have the right to use our bodies as we're doing. Laws don't change rights; they can at best make some activities illegal. Criminalizing prostitution morally changes nothing. It just makes the law wrong, and puts law enforcement on the side of prosecuting those who aren't doing anything wrong. So, it's an inversion of justice. One of my clients (and also by now, a friend) is a senior retired police officer. Even many years later, he recalls with bitterness and shame the injustice he enacted when he was sent out to arrest service providers. A great many law enforcement officers are basically good people. They signed up in the name of justice, to protect citizens from violent people. They resent being made the enforcers of bad laws. I'm not in Hawaii nor am I a Hawaiian, but still ... Hawaii makes for an interesting case study. The law enforcement officers in Honolulu are very focused on preventing and arresting for violent crime, and by contrast they generally attend to nominally criminalised prostitution (involving consenting adults) with a lack of enthusiasm that I consider to be quite refreshing. Even the formal legal commentary that's on the official Hawaiian law document states (better-worded than I can paraphrase here from memory) that criminalising prostitution makes little sense but when a loud enough portion of the populace pushes for it, such a law ends up being passed and so here it is but don't expect much good to come from it. I hasten to add that whoever chooses to spend his money on a service provider is also within his rights, so I take issue with the Scandinavian model. With all of that clearly in mind, there's one aspect that seems so peculiar that I'm surprised anyone can entertain the notion of criminalising voluntary-exchange prostitution as a serious idea. Let's agree that forced labour + abduction + holding someone against their will (slavery, essentially) is bad, and its eradication deserves of every iota of law enforcement resources we can muster. Were we to criminalise voluntary prostitution then this would divert resources from that just cause. For now let's ignore what the law enforcement officers would be doing as part of enforcing laws that criminalise prostution transactions between consenting adults. Let's say they just lit candles and held hands and sang Kumbaya. Even so it'd be a step backwards because such time and energy could and should have been allocated to going after the people who are, in precise terms, enslaving others. (The 90%+10% in my chart might be 80%+20% or 20%+80% instead, but you get the idea). Somehow voluntary sex work gets painted with the same tar brush as sexual slavery, as if the former were essentially the same as the latter. On such premises, agriculture should have been criminalized across the board at the time, because in the American South there were slaves involved in agriculture. The more I think about this proposed law, the less sense it makes. One more thing: One trick that faux-feminists will sometimes pull (and I resent their attempted usurpation of the title "feminist" since I am a true feminist) is a sexist twist on the notion "a hungry man is not free". To the extent that we agree with that premise, it's a slippery-slope argument towards our opponents' point of view. Of course, that critique, even if it held water (which it doesn't) would apply to many fields of endeavour, including the US miltary which, some claim, penalizes poor and/or black people by giving them an option that private industry would not. The "people are victimized even if they're politically free" premise makes a contradictory and jumbled conceptual mess, both north and south of the Canada-US border. .Tanya

Publicly questioning a ladies rates and doubting she is "worth it". If you feel her rates are too rich for your budget, move on. There are others who have no problem paying her rates. I remember going to a fancy restaurant where there are no prices on the menu. The gent who took me knew I would never pay the rates for a steak supper. I could cook a steak supper for 6 people for what they charged. He never let me know how much that dinner cost. It was truly the best steak supper I've ever eaten, and he obviously had the money to treat me. If I'd never gone, I'd probably still think their menu wasn't "worth it", but since I've been there, I'd go in a heart beat. Well worth the money spent.

With the news that Sweden is well on its way to a cashless society, is this our destiny as well? What ramifications would it have for this industry? I like to use cash; it doesn't cost me a damn thing to buy things with cash. But with plastic I need a bank account and all the associated fees, plus the retailer has to pay extra charges for accepting plastic too. If Canada goes cashless someday, I'm going to start a class action lawsuit to make it as free to use plastic as it is to use cash: totally feeless debit transactions. And what happens if there's a huge storm someday and the grid goes down for weeks at a time (remember the Quebec ice storm)? Or a huge EM pulse from the sun (remember the last huge solar storm which fried telegraph networks 100 or so years ago)? What about a major world war (the militarily mighty nations have EMP nukes to knock out the enemy's communications)? Maybe I'm just getting old and stubborn. Sweden Leads in Cashless Transactions Maybe we'll have to start using silver and gold coins! :)

My apologies if it sounds like I'm preaching to the choir or I sound frustrated or bitchy. I've rarely had problems with cerb clients but I'm sure it's interesting to read to get an inside view on what we deal with. While I enjoy being an SP, nothing is perfect. Here is my latest.. A client an SP she has seen once and asks for a discount because they want to be a regular. To be a regular is shown by actions, not words. If a person really wants to turn an SP off, just say the above and guaranteed she won't want to see that person again. Posted via Mobile Device Additional Comments: If a person doesn't confirm my rates then that's a huge red flag for me. When someone contacts me, I'm processing their words Nd actions very quickly. Yeah you'd think some common sense would be had, but apparently not. Even with Somaly Mam you'd think Oprah's people would've been smart enough to check her out too. And I thought that was a part of a talk show hosts job? To investigate things before airing or endorsing them? At least it used to be. But I do have a comment, how on earth and seriously for how long did this guy seriously think he was going to get away with this scam? How long did any of them think they would get away with it? When it gets high profile, someone's gonna do some digging. This stuff is so common with Human Trafficking and those rescue orgs make a fortune off it.

Much frustration is being aired here, and I empathize. However, as a transexual girl I was raised as if I were a boy, and for some years I actively tried to fit into guy culture, trying to live as a guy even though I'm a girl, brain-wise. So, I have an unusual perspective from which to contribute: I've basically seen things from both sides of the "gender" divide. Very few people intentionally misbehave, and I'm not talking about them in the remainder of this post. And so ... the reason why terse gentlemen come across as they do is .... they literally don't know any better. They actually think it's OK or it's the best they can do. There might be some contextual issues such as they're pressed for time, or tired ... but for the most part, the recipe that gentlemen use, as to how to treat a girl is ... how they treat their buddies. They just don't know any better. So, I see my work to include being a diplomat and gentle educator. Even though gentlemen might not know the cultural nuances, they're very smart people and they're often acutely aware of their lack of social skills, so a little kindness from me tends to be much appreciated. Example #1: One of my clients is a nice man, but he's super-awkward socially especially in the bedroom. The first time I met him, he confessed that he'd needed a glass of wine to soothe his nerves before coming up to meet me. During the session, he was socially very awkward but I gently guided him in the right direction. After the session, he paid cheerfully and insisted on tipping me so high an amount that it was the most money I've made per hour in this business, ever. Example #2: He re-booked and the second time it was a doubles session with a close lady friend of mine. She's a lot less patient than I am, so I was spending some of my time smooth ruffled feathers. At some point she had a not-so-happy look on her face, and the reason why is that, fingernails and all, the client had decided the next logical thing to do was to stick his finger inside her butt. It was obvious that she wasn't happy about it. So, I let a few seconds pass and then I offered him a fresh condom and said "for if you want to perhaps stick your finger up her butt" and he said "oh, it's already there" as in "I'm fine, I don't need one, too late" but just by keeping it offered to him, I got the message across and he removed it and reinserted with the lady being less unhappy with the improved approach. At the end of the session, he paid well, and he wants to book yet another session. Example #3: This happened today, literally. The small print in my ad is detailed and it needs to be. That includes "I'm not available in Vancouver until the 30th." But, even so someone just emailed me and wants to come over. So I could think "read my ad first, dummy" or I could think "wow, he's so enthused due to my pictures that he didn't even want to read the ad before making contact." Example #4: This happened today too, literally. This weekend a client was immensely enthused. He sent me more than 100 emails in a 3-day time-span. He said some very nice things. Then, Monday and Tuesday he was terse and quiet. It was a huge contrast. I figured he was getting cold feet and just didn't know how how to end it nicely, so I wrote him a "good-bye" email that would offer him a gracious "out": "Hello again, you've become rather quiet and I'm inferring you need some distance and I respect that. :-) Thank you for everything." ... and then he wrote back explaining his enthusiasm was as high as ever but he was inundated with crises at work. So, again, being nice and having empathy saved the relationship. Last point: when I was eight years old, one of the comics I read showed a scene between a boy who was in love with a girl, and he gave her flowers but was too tongue-tied to say anything. He just blushed and sat there and responded non-verbally. So, it's a pretty well-known phenomenon that guys get shy and terse and socially awkward when they like the girl a lot. So, when a guy is behaving as such, I entertain the notion that it's his way of saying "you're so hot, I can't even function as I normally would." And it's that actually very, very nice?

We are testing our a new text ad system on localescorts.ca (this is just a test phase and we are only promoting this here on cerb at this time until we work out the bugs and the development team finishes all the backed system) At this time the ads are FREE and are AUTOMATICALLY posted for everyone with a profile ad (4 times a day) and anyone without a profile ad can make them too for free but must manually make the ad each time (at this time). Direct Link: http://www.localescorts.ca/textads/ALL/home.html We would love any feedback from both the ladies and the men on how you would like to see the system improved. It is very basic right now (3 photos max) but we will be improving on it and promoting it in the future.

Thanks for the PM Tanya, much appreciated. The one thing that was really irritating to me after I read the bill (a couple of times) was that NOT one media outlet and barely even anyone else for that matter was informing the general public about how this bill was going to affect them. Wherein ANY PERSON can be questioned about their relationship. And if that one little, but major point would've been focused on and pushed all over the place the general public would've been outraged over it. Personally it is of my opinion that this bill really had nothing to do with us, we were used as a means for them to put that piece of law into place. Human trafficking is not about rescue, it's about money and it's a very profitable business to be in. I don't have any stats handy, but I'd be pretty certain in saying it's probably MORE profitable than our industry. Some of the HT orgs, sell their rescued victims to sweatshops or big ags for cheap labour, there's TONS of testimony available about that. And if you can tell a really good story, they hone and train you and put you on the HT speaking circuit, all in the name of telling a great sob story and getting people to donate to their org. So they're exploiting people even further, but it doesn't matter, because you're not being paid for sex. Some of the orgs also have their own items that they make the "victims" provide labour for, I've seen everything from weaving baskets, to bags, book deals, movie deals, you name it. So at the end of the day, who exactly is exploiting who here, really? I can't "exploit" myself willingly, but your org can exploit me into weave some baskets so you can make money from me? I'll take my $260 an hour, wherein I keep ALL of my money, thanks and get to make my own choices. Here's an example of what I'm talking about From Sexworker to Seamstress

Cashless...story of my life LOL With cash...cash in pocket, it works Cashless...because Sweden does it. Didn't they bring us the Nordic model that's enough reason to reject anything else they might have Seriously, cash works If power, computers go down, then what If your identity is stolen and the bank freezes your accounts till you come in an see them (btw just happened to me a couple months ago...thank god I had a few bucks in my pocket till the bank (my branch) opened (I was out of town) I keep a small emergency fund at home, just in case something goes wrong now. But I like cash. Cash works. Cash doesn't bounce, cash doesn't get declined, using cash doesn't get you in debt. I like having a cc, but only to use for reservations or in an emergency A rambling for what it's worth RG

My cat jumped a Doberman last week while he was crossing the street as I wad pulling into the laneway. He is an outdoor cat. I got an earful for that one. I guess they never saw a cat who has enough balls to confront a big dog like that. Another crazy cat I have who likes to attack dogs. All the cats I've had were or are nuts except for one. He was the submissive for the other two who used to beat on him daily just for shits and giggles. Posted via Mobile Device

You'd think when someone posts a "resume" listing...well here's what's listed According to the FBI affidavit, Hillar's website, now taken down, claimed extensive experience with the U.S. Army in tactical counter-terrorism, explosive ordnance, emergency medicine, psychological warfare and law enforcement ethics. Extensive experience in all of these...not to mention a Bachelor's and Doctorate degree...eyebrows should have been raised when anyone claiming experience, well extensive experience in all of these diverse areas. Maybe he got a book on tape, or a mentor (just a little humour here):icon_rolleyes: Seriously, while I don't condone or excuse his fraud, some people should have looked at the resume he offered and been just a bit more skeptical, and not taken his claims at face value Anyhow, my two cents worth RG

Well, I guess I can answer my own question and maybe help out someone else. I was able to see Tiffany tonight (proper review to be typed up), but to answer anyone's questions, the person in the pictures is her. She is slightly older than some of the pictures, but just as stunning in my opinion. Think of her as a red headed version of Felina - not the same mind you, but similar styles in conversation, taking the lead vs you taking the lead, and in projecting their sensuality. She was able to accomodate my request to see her, even though there was a time change, and was happy to grant a clothing request. I intend to see her again when possible, and highly recommend you do the same! Travellingdude

This is an article written a few weeks ago that gives a quick look at the bill. Since there is no media coverage on this bill passing today, it's the best I've got for now. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/cyberbullying-bill-c-13-moves-on-despite-supreme-court-decision/article20885941/

I really do believe that most Sps do not want to come across as bitchy or lecturing clients, but sometimes it may appear so because we get frustrated with certain things. Fortunately the good ones do make up for the bad ones and in my case the so-called bad ones are in the minority. But I honestly believe that clear and concise communication is the key. In my experience when things have gone off the rails it's because something ended up getting lost via text, pm or email. This is why I personally prefer a voice call before confirming any appointment to make perfectly clear that all questions have been answered and protocol has been covered. I am not in any way criticizing any other providers' screening, but for me, there is no final confirmation unless I have spoken to them first. This has saved me (and would-be clients) valuable time. I have to remember, I may not be a good fit for that person, and if so, I tell them, and if they feel the same and tell me so, I try and not take it personally. In fact, I will gladly refer a client to another lady I feel may suit his preferences better, if he communicates in a clear, direct and polite manner. I do not pretend to speak for all providers, but I believe that most of us would like a potential client to review what's stated in our ad or site before contacting us, follow our protocol and be polite. Period! And ladies, to respond in a timely manner. Speaking for myself, remember, if you call, leave a vm or text me and I don't respond right away, and it's several hours, or day passes before I can get back to you, I will probably not respond unless you make it clear that I can. This is because I have no way of knowing whether you're still free to receive our text or call without compromising your privacy.

To touch a bit on what Tanya said above.. I do agree that many times it's just a miscommunication, or men who aren't very skilled socially, but a large majority of time it's also just them being rude and insulting on purpose. When I'm having a conversation with someone who's inquiring to meet me, and I just don't feel like there will be much chemistry or something about them seems off, I politely tell them I don't think we'll connect well and would prefer not to go through with a meeting, but wish them the best all the same. When they reply with a "well you're a stupid b*tch I wouldn't even touch if you paid me." or the always lovely "well f*ck you then." that's not social awkwardness, that's just them being an asshole on purpose. And even in different situations, the similar reaction of them being rude, disrespectful, or downright insulting is not something I should have to take lightly. I'm usually quite easy-going, even if they're a bit cold with their texting, until they actually give me a reason to take offense. On another note! Another MAJOR turn off, was back when I worked for an agency, I had left an outcall at a hotel earlier than expected, and the driver was not around. For the next 20 minutes while I waited for them, a man came and told me he knew exactly what I was there for, and he wanted to take me out sometime. When I politely told him I wasn't going on a free date with him, he said "oh no, I would never pay for sex. But I'm going to take you out anyways." Uhhh, no thanks creepy stranger, maybe next time? :P Posted via Mobile Device

I received a message from one of my colleagues in the Canadian Alliance for Sex Work Law Reform informing me of the following; A bunch of meetings in regards to C-36 in front of the senate were cancelled today. There are scheduled meetings tomorrow but we have reason to believe at this time they will be cancelled as well. I will keep you updated if there are more changes and if those meetings tomorrow are indeed cancelled as soon as I find out. The current date for the bill to go into effect, signed, sealed and delivered, is Dec 19th

i think if there is no contact, there's no contact. I noticed some referrals to lap dances, that is contact so it was mentioned that would possibly qualify as a sexual service. Whether it does or not remains to be seen. The adult entertainment industry has the benefit of money, business licenses, zoning and organization, if it comes to that, they could be among the first to challenge C36. Which is a good thing. All complaints are out the window if the SC allows sexual services in the private rooms, tho, and this does indeed happen in various places in the country.

I hope it's OK for a service provider to write her fantasies too. After all, I chose this line of work because I like how sexy it is. I'm into BDSM as a switch (meaning, depending on the context I can be either a sub or Domme) but the fantasy vs. reality gap is pretty darn wide. And the deal I have with client is that sex isn't certain to be included, it's just very likely (and I offer a full refund if the session wasn't worth it). So, I DO get to decide. My fantasy is to be able to decide just once. By that, I mean: If I know and like a client enough to where, for an overnight, I decide once, up front and then for the rest of the time, as long as he uses condom and lube, the answer is categorically "yes" -- he doesn't even have to ask. So I might be asleep or half asleep and feel myself being moved into position and then mounted and ridden as long and as hard as the gentleman wants. There'd be no asking. He'd just use me. Hot!! The only time I have tried this was with someone I'd known and trusted for many months and had perhaps 20 sessions with already -- but he abused the privilege and without me realizing it or approving, he omitted a condom and then gloated about it. I was sad and angry. I left immediately. That was the last time I saw him. Afterwards, I waited the appropriate length of time and then got a battery of STD tests. Everything turned out to be OK but still I resented the uncertainty and having my rules violated like that. Anyway, if someone could be trusted to respect my health & safety rules AND then treat me as their owned f-toy that'd be SO hot -- primal. Mhm.

I think you need to be OK with asking for advice and what to expect. I have been lurking here for awhile now, very interested but alas, I'm still married but our sex life is beyond stale, and has been for 6 years despite all my efforts. As much as I love my wife, I have a high sex drive and she has none(we even tried a therapist). I haven't used a provider yet, but I have been in communication with several here and I can say that the ones I have talked to are very understanding of my anxieties and concerns. I'm just honest when I talk to them. If you have questions go ahead and ask them. This forum has been excellent for information. My lurker experience would say sexxxy Rebecca as she has amazing reviews and is well known to be great with first timers. She is who I'm calling once I get up the nerve.

Your plan is fine for a menu lady but I know for sure receiving texts like that would scare the Ba - Jesus out of me..
  42. 1 point
Some SPs are not into the menus so there may have to be bit of a different dialogue. To be honest, if someone starts naming off an alphabetical list of acronyms, it tells me a lot. I look for someone who genuinely wants to spend time with me aside from what type of services they will receive. When I see a person who lists acronyms, I am hesitant. I understand that there should be some sort of expectations in terms of what services will be received and not received but to me this is very impersonal and tells me what type of client they will be. A first impression is always a lasting one. If the person takes the time to communicate with me in more of a personable way while still being able to get their questions answered, it is more favorable. I am also more patient in this regard as I answer phone calls and texts all day long so I'm used to having more of a conversation. A conversation on the phone with a potential client will always give me a signal in 30 seconds or less if I want to meet them. It is all in the way they speak to me, the way they sound tells me their personality and the type of questions they ask, etc. I pick up on people's energy very quickly whether it's good or bad on the phone and in person. I will never specifically book just by text. It is crucial I hear the person's voice. Don't ask me why but my instincts always tell me yes or no within those 30 seconds. So while I don't have a lot of time, my brain and instincts are processing this info very quickly in how the person is reacting towards me and the questions they ask. I'm sure this works if an SP is more upfront in her ads and you want to confirm these services but we all run our business a different way. I thought it was cute when you put in "Hunnie" but I never use terms of endearment with my clients unless I've met them first. This comes off as very phony when you haven't met them. A different approach will need to be taken once this new bill becomes law.
  43. 1 point
For the most part, that is me as well. The first contact is through the email link in the website or sometimes via pm on boards (provided the SP has that option posted in her ad). In that initial contact is the phone # I will be contacting from as well to save confusion. One thing I would add is that in that first text, my first words are always, "Hello, my name is (insert first name), I am 54 yrs old and live in the area and saw your ad on CERB (or whatever). My handle there is "peacectryguy" Then the other pertinent stuff that was mentioned. I believe it is important to make an effort to show the lady you are on the level and a name and brief description does help in that. If they require more info, they can and will ask but it shows you are placing some trust in them and usually they feel better trusting you. It is a 2 way street.

you would see someone who calls you 'hunnie"? or shortcuts 'you'? I would say j/k, but i'm seriously not just kidding. imo, an sp should take as much time and care and attention with her replies as you are doing for her. it shows a level of professionalism and awareness of how she is presenting herself to someone who is contacting her for the very first time. Which means if the reply is only going to be 3 or 4 words, she can certainly take the time to spell out 'you' and 'see'. I totally agree that your texts should be detailed, and that you need to say hi, and not do a bunch of serial texting. Put the info you want her to know in the first text. And it should go without saying don't send a text if her ad says 'no texts'. :)

  47. 1 point
If you are in compliance with the lady's requirements and do not overstep boundaries (asking too many personal questions, sharing too many personal stories with her where she might not feel comfortable, insisting on off-the-clock extended conversing/texting or email, trying to stay over-time or enticing her to stay over time or meet off the clock for free, etc.) there is no reason why you should feel you are taking advantage of her. If you are getting a certain level of intimacy and other stimulation met through the time you spend with an SP without any unrealistic expectations, then I'd say you have a good arrangement. If you feel you are not totally satisfied and crave more, then you might be putting unrealistic expectations on the client/SP relationship. I understand some men do not want to pursue a dating relationship because for whatever reason they don't want the commitment that goes along with it. But you can't expect an SP no matter how gracious she is or how well you connect and get along with her, to give you access to her personal life, or her heart so to speak. Just because we are being paid does not mean we are there just for the money, but I would never want a client to think or expect it may develop into anything more. In some instances, a client and SP may click in the romance department and end up together as a couple, but it's not realistic for a client to see SPs hoping that will happen for him. I am not suggesting that is what you are doing, I'm just putting it out there, that if you think you are taking advantage of someone, ask yourself what you are doing that is perhaps making you feel guilty. I suggest you do a self-check, and if necessary, ask a provider you have been with who you trust who has the maturity to be honest and ask them if there is anything they have observed in your approach or behaviour that might be off putting. Little things that might not seem like such a big deal can something make others feel uncomfortable. Doesn't mean it can't be corrected.
