6 pointsLike Victoria, I prefer the business model that the industry in the US uses. Yes, I prefer dealing with American clients. I had the same shocking experience when I arrived in Canada. Demands for services up front, bareback services and vilification when I refused to commit before meeting a client. It's one of the reasons I seldom advertise and have developed a business model that ensures I don't have to see new clients regularly. I feel the new laws are an opportunity to set some imbalances straight, making the industry better and all we have to do is adapt. The providers in this industry are brilliant adapters, the clients...not so much. C36 says we are not allowed to advertise sexual services when putting ads out thru 3rd party advertisers. Perhaps we can to return to the model of selling an experience rather than a laundry list of services. Going back to the old structure of a 30 minute appointment means a blow job and an hour means full service is an option? Everyone will figure out what works for them and the show will go on. It always does... cat

5 pointsUntil such time that we are regulated by the federal or provincial government, the human rights laws do not apply. You might want to read up on the human rights laws. I understand what you are saying, but these laws do not apply. We are not a public service, open to the public. Our service is unlike any other industry and we need to remember that. I don't like the "no blacks guys" ads either. However, I know a lady who was being stalked by a former boyfriend. He would follow her across the country, stalk her, beat her and terrorize her. The only way she knew how to keep herself safe was to say no black men. Sad, but she had no other choice other then to leave the industry. The day I am forced to see someone I don't want to see because someone claims discrimination, I will scream to the mountains.

2 pointsI kinda feel there are enough haters out there willing to degrade and beat up on sex workers without having to see people who participate in this industry do so within this forum... what exactly are we trying to accomplish with this thread for fuck sake this issue has been beaten to death. This industry is a microcosm of the rest of society... we will have the same traits as the rest of society... good and bad. Are there racist SP's and clients yes... is everything described in this thread racism no. Let's give it a rest. I have played in this industry for a long long time... more regularly in the last few years but my experience is that the people who work in the Sex Industry are probably the most open to diversity than any other group. Just my opinion

2 pointsSome providers are racist. Why are we all dancing around this? As some posters have already stated I'm sure a few of them have some non racist reasons for putting " NO BLACKS" etc... in their adds but at the end of the day there are WAY to many adds like this to be justified. I literally counted over 50 in one day on back page. Are we really talking about preference? I never see adds that say No fatties or guys over 300 pounds No bald guys Please have your teeth Wear nice clothes Must be over 6 feet! Please have a cut cock Please don't have a cut cock Etc..... I thought the only thing that mattered was Be respectful Have good Hygiene I think too now say that these girls are merely exercising their " preferences" is disingenuous and not honest to the discussion. I realize there are exceptions and everything is not always black or white. ( no pun intended ) but one must assume a majority of these women have racial issues. Again, I'm sure some girls have valid reasons that are not racial but we must acknowledge that racism does exist here and not try to brush all of this under the rug. I also think its important for me to state that I believe that a lady has a 100 percent right to refuse anyone she wants. Its her decision! Period! Whether I personally agree or not. I also think that this is not as much of a problem here on Cerb as I have found in my experience that the ladies here are professional with class.

2 pointsif I may ... I would like to put a different spin on this ... for the most part it is just a matter of what a sp is attracted to ... they do not need to try new ethnicities to know if they are attracted to them ... this is not food we are talking about.... Also ... please do not tell me hobbyist do not also book based on attraction .... if they are not attracted to a BBW for instance ... they will not book with her ... is this racism ???? I think not !!!

2 pointsLiberal senator to propose changes to controversial new prostitution bill By: Stephanie Levitz, The Canadian Press http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/can...280944432.html OTTAWA - A Liberal senator will propose more amendments to the Conservative government's controversial anti-prostitution bill as the clock ticks down on a court-imposed deadline for implementation of a new law. The Senate has concluded its committee study of Bill C-36 and the bill is expected to be back before the upper chamber for third reading next week. Liberal Sen. George Baker said Thursday he intends to introduce 15 amendments during that debate, all seeking to remove provisions which would criminalize those who sell sex. "We didn't hear from anybody who said that those provisions should be there," he said in an interview. The Conservative government wants to get the bill through the legislative process by the middle of November, so it can get royal assent and become law by December. That would meet the deadline imposed by the Supreme Court of Canada when it struck down existing laws as unconstitutional last year. The court found the laws violated the charter rights of sex workers because they were criminally prohibited from taking measures to keep themselves safe. In response, the government introduced the current bill, which it argues protects sex workers by giving them access to bodyguards and the ability to work indoors. However, none of that can happen if a third party benefits or the sex worker is operating in exploitative conditions. But scores of witnesses told both MPs and senators that the various exemptions in the bill are open to further charter challenges. For example, while the bill would allow sex workers to advertise, it would make it an offence for anyone to run those ads, said Ian Clark, an executive member of the Canadian Bar Association's national criminal justice section. "Therefore, an individual who is attempting to sell their services cannot avail themselves of any advertising, can't screen clients on the Internet, various things that the Supreme Court raised that were important," Clark told the Senate legal affairs committee on Thursday. "This ban on advertising, given the fact that selling remains lawful, is potentially unconstitutional." The bill has already been amended once, to tighten restrictions on where it would be illegal to communicate for the purpose of selling sex. But that provision, as well as any others which continue to criminalize sex work need to be struck out, Baker said. He said he was troubled by testimony from Manitoba's provincial justice minister, who said he would simply tell prosecutors not to proceed with charges in the event prostitutes were arrested under those provisions. That creates an abuse of process, which is a constitutional violation, Baker said. "You'll have somebody arrested, put in jail probably and then no prosecution taking place," he said. "So it's a rather ridiculous situation that those provisions are now in the bill that will create such confusion at the end of the day." For Baker's amendments to pass, he'll need the support of some Conservative senators as their party holds the majority in the Senate. "I think there will be some support there simply because it's a unanimous thing on the part of those who have appeared," he said. Debate over the bill has revealed a split between those who consider sex work a legitimate profession that requires access to safe working conditions and those who see all people working as prostitutes as victims in an industry that needs to be outlawed. But the Senate committee was urged Thursday to consider putting partisan differences aside to reach a compromise on good legislation to protect everyone.

2 pointsWe all have our own personal.preferences and have every right to those In some instances maybe it is.racism and what really can.you do...its alive and out there It.could.be many reasons why.a provider will ask your race Could be because she prefers a certain race Could be because.she.dates only a.certain race and doesnt want to.run.into someone she may know on a personal level Only the lady knows why I.personally like to see all gentlemen race is not an issue BUT age is for me I prefer not to date.younger than 25.because I feel I.connect better with.older gents and I.enjoy our time together and also I have a son that is 20 and it wouldn't feel right to me regardless if I am.being paid for my time
-
2 pointsFor the record, I myself have met Caucasian, Canadian-born men who also treat women this way. Stereotyping races is the exact definition of racism and surely has no place on the forum.

2 pointsIf you are in compliance with the lady's requirements and do not overstep boundaries (asking too many personal questions, sharing too many personal stories with her where she might not feel comfortable, insisting on off-the-clock extended conversing/texting or email, trying to stay over-time or enticing her to stay over time or meet off the clock for free, etc.) there is no reason why you should feel you are taking advantage of her. If you are getting a certain level of intimacy and other stimulation met through the time you spend with an SP without any unrealistic expectations, then I'd say you have a good arrangement. If you feel you are not totally satisfied and crave more, then you might be putting unrealistic expectations on the client/SP relationship. I understand some men do not want to pursue a dating relationship because for whatever reason they don't want the commitment that goes along with it. But you can't expect an SP no matter how gracious she is or how well you connect and get along with her, to give you access to her personal life, or her heart so to speak. Just because we are being paid does not mean we are there just for the money, but I would never want a client to think or expect it may develop into anything more. In some instances, a client and SP may click in the romance department and end up together as a couple, but it's not realistic for a client to see SPs hoping that will happen for him. I am not suggesting that is what you are doing, I'm just putting it out there, that if you think you are taking advantage of someone, ask yourself what you are doing that is perhaps making you feel guilty. I suggest you do a self-check, and if necessary, ask a provider you have been with who you trust who has the maturity to be honest and ask them if there is anything they have observed in your approach or behaviour that might be off putting. Little things that might not seem like such a big deal can something make others feel uncomfortable. Doesn't mean it can't be corrected.

1 pointwhen i see posts like this with several replies only saying they would also like a review but nobody has given one, does that mean no one on here has met with her or are the people who have just pm'ing the people who would like to know? I just hope i don't have to reply with saying i would like a review on every post. I would like to hear about them all :p thanks!

1 pointJust thinking outloud here...but what is wrong with companionship (yes even paid companionship), a real date. Conversation, dinner out, going out somewhere. Yes it may include sex. But sex isn't the reason for the date. Meeting (or reconnecting) with someone is the reason in and of itself of the date Or am I just getting older A rambling RG
-
1 pointThank-you. I have seen this before on that site too many times over the last few years and I cannot believe that all women could be so racist. From what I have witnessed over there, this isn't even about racism at all where the SP is concerned. It may be more of a territorial issue where some men may not be welcome. It happened to a client of mine and he is black and was refused at the door. I explained to him the possibilities of why the appointment was declined and he was then able to move on from it. Yes saying that in an ad definitely comes across as racist but I think in many of these situations it goes way beyond that. I don't want to expand on my theories and don't want to generalize but some may not even be making their own personal choices as to who they want to see and don't want to see.
-
1 pointLet's not dance around the issue then. Maybe some of these ladies are racist, but I would dare to guess it's more like the "majority of these women" probably have husbands, boyfriends or handlers who are black and so that makes seeing other black men a no no. Period. And as a rule they tend to advertise on places like BP, which is why you will see so many of those types of ads.

1 pointI never seen Kandie myself , YET, but I have some info on her. I actually posted about looking for info on her a few months back in the New Brunswick section as she was in Moncton for a few weeks. I got a couple of inbox messages from different guys that had seen her. All said pics were accurate (she didn't have the video posted back then) and that the session was great. One complaint from Moncton was that her place wasn't great and just a mattress on the floor. I contacted her while i was in Moncton via text message. She responded right away, seamed nice , friendly and answered any questions I had. Wanted her to come to my upscale hotel but she wouldn't , said it was strictly in-call at her place. I offered to cover cab fares and extra but she was solid "no" on visiting a hotel. So I never seen her cause I don't do in-call unless it is to a hotel where the girl is staying. I will be back in halifax next week so I will contact her again to see what her accommodation are like in Halifax if she is still in the city. I really like to meet up with her , love the pic of her in that white/black stripe dress.
-
1 pointMoncton can be a sparse area by times for sure, but in addition to the SPs mentioned in this discussion already, keep your eyes open for SPs that travel to the area. Many SPs advertise on the board that they will be visiting well in advance so you have time to check them out. Also, the last minute bookings in Moncton are tough to find as many SPs that offer services there do live in NB but not in Moncton so booking in advance is essential. Hope that helps.

1 pointI was pretty nervous about this encounter. Luckily it was a good high-traffic location and I was able to go in without being noticed. She left the door open so I could just walk in, which was nice - so I wouldn't have to stay out in the hallway. Her pictures don't do her justice. Just over 5ft tall, this girl is a beauty. Everything about her was bangin'. She invited me to get comfortable and we chatted for a good while, making everything comfortable - Even though I may have seemed comfortable, I was crazily nervous for what was about to happen. Won't go into details, but I'll say it was the perfect encounter. Hands down one of the best girls I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Very enthusiastic and very genuine. I plan to repeat every time she comes here.

1 pointJust so I am clear, forcing a woman to sleep with someone she doesn't want to sleep with (her being racist or not is irrelevant here) is not a violation of human rights, but saying no to someone is? I can just imagine how that conversation would go.... Hobbyists: "Hi, I'd like to file a complaint against _______ for not allowing me to pay her for sexual services" Human Rights Advocacy : "(laughing) ... Unfortunately sir, offering to pay her is not a suitable reason for anyone to force her into sleeping with you. It is her basic human right to deny you her body. (more laughing) Have a nice day Sir" *click* I have every right to say no to anyone for ANY reason, even if those reasons are racist! (Please note: I am not racist, I do not have race requirements, but these comments have ignited a fire inside me) I think you need to educate yourself more on human rights my dear. Sure, racism sucks. But what sucks even worse is ANYONE being forced into SEXUAL ACTS with just anyone and everyone because you feel it's violating the buyer's rights when a seller is selective. NO. Truly, if you are turned away for ANY reason (racism or others), well that's just too F-ing bad! Move onto another provider, lord knows we aren't exactly a rare commodity. But you want me to give myself, my all, my body and soul to a person who perhaps is revolting to me? Wow. What you suggest is that I do not have any human rights, only you do... Maybe I should complain to Costco for only letting their club members buy merchandise. Maybe they'll pay me for my complaint. They are after all violating my human rights, according to you. And what are these rules of business that EVERYONE needs to follow exactly? Guess I should also complain about every shopping mall in North America who has a "NO shoes, No shirt - NO SERVICE!" rule as well. I mean, frigg, the hotdog stand guy sells me food without my wearing shoes, why doesn't every "business" ??? Ugh. You have to accept that the particular merchandise we sell cannot simply be offered to anyone with a wallet. Many different industries have standards, rules & laws specific to that industry, why should this be any different? Your opinion on this matter disgusts me. That is all. The apology, sure. "I'm sorry but some of your details are on my "black list" and I cannot see you" There, apology. BUT PAYING MONEY TO THE PERSON WHO COMPLAINED? SERIOUSLY?!?! * raised eyebrow *

1 point<Zoom up to 30,000 feet> I'm sitting here literally blinking back tears after spending a lot of time this morning reading about the C-36 law, and the very thoughtful, logical posts on this board, including the quoted comments by the CBA. Yes, the law is unjust and I have many issues with it, and the horse it rode in on. But, wow. Here I sit, in Vancouver, and all around me including thousands of miles towards the east, is a massive network of bright sparks -- benevolent, thoughtful, logical, reasonable and articulate people. Having lived in many other countries, I can really appreciate the contrast. I'm proud to be here. </zoom>

1 pointI have work in this industry close to a decade I have seen some ladies in south clearly state no black...it's really hard to describe each situation I don't discriminate I see all background however recently I start to ask ethnicity and age to have a better sense of who I deal with I have canceled in middle of the session someone that was way too aggressive with a large equipment to be call racist..As funny as it sound I have date several guys of his ethnicity Knowing sometime ethnicity help me to be prepare to understand some behaviors You know as shocking as it can be fir some it's a lady preference ..some ladies choose to not see overweight men under 25 men.. As much as it sound like racism some ladies have a problem service black,Indian,Arab I don't .. However I can recognize that some of different nationality not all have different smell behaviors etc I personally decide to judge on each different person individually I see obese handicap person but I do expect them to be forward as different issue can arise.. As for asking ethnicity or age it just help me to know a bit what to expect ..of course by generalizing Lisbeth i know it sad that some escorts refuse a client base on his color but it's her decision her body and probably her lost.. I have met ladies that won't see different ethnicity yet they have a partner of different ethnicity .. I personally only discriminate arrogant not nice guys lol
-
1 pointI can sense my opinion will be unpopular. What if a restaurant says "we won't serve Black people"? What if a bank says "we don't accept Aboriginal clients"? What if a movie theatre says "we don't sell tickets to Jews"? In none of those cases would we say "that's just personal preference, they can deal with who they want". In fact we have specifically passed laws called Human Rights Act which prohibit anyone providing a service from claiming to provide those services based on a personal preference where it relates to race, or colour, or ethnic origin, and so on. I'm perfectly willing to agree that the services a "service provider" in this business provides are different from most, but not so different that this general rule does not apply. And sure, there are exceptions - a church is entitled to insist that its priest be Catholic, its ok to have both boys and girls soccer teams - but I don't see why there would be an exception here. It's true, a person who is simply choosing sexual partners is absolutely free to indulge whatever private opinions they might have. If CERB were a dating site, there'd be no issue whatsoever. But when someone has entered into a business, rather than personally seeking pleasure, well, then yes, different rules apply - the ones that apply to anyone engaged in business. It is extraordinarily unlikely anyone would ever make a Human Rights Act complaint about this, but that doesn't mean it isn't wrong. I have seen ads which say things like "I don't want any drama, so no Arabs or Indians". Personally I cross those SPs off my list, though I'm neither Arab nor Indian, just as I would refuse to frequent any other business which discriminates unlawfully.

1 pointOne thing that came to mind as I am reading this is because of SP's having to be more creative in their writing and not actually talking about services, I think we may see more bookings for longer sessions. I could be totally wrong but it seems that if we, as clients, have to find out after we arrive, we may not be able to do those walk in 15 min or fast15 or whatever that I see in some ads. Of course, there are guys who just want a quick bang out there and don't care about anything else so maybe things won't change much. Personally, I like to have more time and enjoy myself. Even 1/2 hr sessions are too short for my liking but that's just me. When all is said and done, I do go back to reading and comprehension, though. Guys need to slow down and read the ads/websites thoroughly and develop the skill of reading between the lines. Learning how to pick out the subtle nuances of clever writing will go a long way to avoiding confusion, imo. And saying they don't have time or can't because they are on their I-phone is a total cop-out. People need to stop being lazy and maybe that is one good thing that could come out of this.

1 pointYes, I agree with Alexxxis. You took the words out of my mouth.lol. I would rather be discrete in exchanging communication with the client as she mentioned to keep the client safe. After all, aside from services, clients are paying for discretion. That is what I have always given them and will continue to do so. Why would I put my clients in jeopardy for the sake of being able to discuss certain things? I will cover them because these are my clients and how I make my living. The customer comes first in this situation. Pun intended!

1 pointI sounds like your new to the "hobby"? If so, I can tell you that I spent A LOT of time reading these boards and researching before I had my first encounter. Yes, some just jump in head first, but others are like me...and you sound like that as well. :) Long story short, don't be afraid to spend some time getting to know how things work, and who the people are, before setting up an appointment. And, questions generally aren't a problem, of course, we help when we can. :) Good luck...

1 pointThe ad posting as just what you need (spelled with really silly letters) with the phone number 587-3-2-3-1573 is asking for a 25 dollar cam show before meeting, I am sure that will end well.

1 pointWhen I see out of region area codes the first question I ask is always very specific to the area, I've even directly asked what city the person was in. The scammers will usually answer very generic, "downtown", etc. Then a follow up question more specific to the city usually ends the conversation. It is really too bad, some people must get scammed or I'm guessing it would have stopped by now. Lots of great SPs have out of region area codes for privacy or due to travelling. So I never let that stop me from finding a great SP, just a little more vigilant.

1 pointIt looks like an interesting season. These seem to be real freaks in this show. Amazing effects on how they did the two headed lady. She is one of the stars of the show.Wonder if she gets double pay lol ;)

1 pointThat was what I thought as well... the thing is, I've been in a few pretty messed up relationships. Then, when something happens that reminds you of the past, you may begin to think that you're still living in it. In any case, I decided to back peddle a bit and incorporate the good advice given here into my approach (thank-you all for contributing!) I sent her a text saying that I was hurt by the fact that I hadn't heard from her, but also that in the heat of the moment, I'd said some things on voice mail which I shouldn't have. Anyway, I still hadn't heard from her by late last night, so I decided to send one final text. To my surprise, she called me crying, saying that she had been completely stressed out about college starting up again, lack of sleep, the mess in her apartment, weight issues etc.. Personally I think she's gorgeous - perfectly proportioned IMHO, but I have a hard time convincing her of that for some reason. In any case, we've resolved everything and are still together. :) I just wish she would have talked to me about what was bothering her instead of disappearing. I feel positive communication is key in any relationship as it will help to avoid any misunderstandings, such as what happened in this situation.

Can't wait to see them again !
