I kinda feel there are enough haters out there willing to degrade and beat up on sex workers without having to see people who participate in this industry do so within this forum... what exactly are we trying to accomplish with this thread for fuck sake this issue has been beaten to death. This industry is a microcosm of the rest of society... we will have the same traits as the rest of society... good and bad. Are there racist SP's and clients yes... is everything described in this thread racism no. Let's give it a rest. I have played in this industry for a long long time... more regularly in the last few years but my experience is that the people who work in the Sex Industry are probably the most open to diversity than any other group. I like a well written ad that shows the me more than just the generic. I love when a lady takes the time to put forth some sense of who she is. A great sense of humor with some witty humorous lines that make me smile will always grab my attention. As well, a well written piece of erotica in there shows me an intelligent, well read person behind the ad. A few other things too but it's hard to put a finger on specifics. As for pictures, I like them as much as the next guy but I love such a variety of women that they really are not a deciding factor. The one thing that can grab me any time is beautiful eyes. Even if that's the only part of the face I see. The "window to the soul" is a huge turn on. Recos/ reviews can be a guideline for me but I find that some guys tastes are different than mine so it's hard to use another guys experience to gauge what mine would be like. As for spas/agencies, I've never been with anyone but indys so I just don't know. Where I live, it's not really an option. All in all, I would say a combination of intelligence, wit and sensuality that comes through in an ad or website will get me interested more often than not.

Confidence, but not cockiness...Just a general aura of self acceptance and being able to show others they are perfectly happy with who they are. Selflessness, kindness and empathy. A sense of humour ! Making me laugh is the easiest way to my heart ;), Determination and ambition (no one likes a freeloader). Vulnerability, a good cologne !, a smile that catches your eye, intelligence, a good conversationalist, a devoted father/mother, someone who stands up for what they believe in. Style, class and a demeanour that is able to handle social situations. I'm sure I could add a lot more as the definition of what is sexy to me varies from person to person, these are just a few things that come to mind !

I think I speak for most men, we are a visual type of people so pictures are very important but we also like to have a good time and we want to get the most bang for our buck(pun intended). So that being said if a lady posts beautiful pictures of herself and gives a good description of what to expect she will get my attention quickly. Another thing that helps is looking at recommendations, if another Cerb member enjoyed his time the chances are that I will too. Please note that pictures do not need to be in the nude for a gentleman to enjoy looking at them and making a decision.

This is a polarizing issue, I think. It's easy to say it's preference and it's easy to say it's racism. At the end of the day, you just have to believe that ladies are not racist - though some may be. Funny anecdote: I had a client in Ottawa not long before I left who was French Canadian. The guy honestly had no idea that he was an asshole, and thought I was a Francophobic Anglophone. Goes to show that once you decide that something is what you think it is, it's hard to change that opinion. Cognitive bias is a real thing hardwired into everyone's brain, afterall.

I don't think anyone can say for sure whether the provider really is racist, it's a preference thing, or if it is just about the small ethnic community's within the city. I don't really think it matters either, because chances are no SP is going to come out and admit they are racist. The beauty of this job however is that and especially for independent girls they have the right to choose. I personally am an equal opportunist and age,race,religion...whatever doesn't matter. But to those women who have limitations with a certain race have the right to put those boundaries up, as this is a job where comfort in both parties is key. I've seen the ads that state "no black clients" and at first I found it very off putting and strange. But after thinking about it, I basically just came to realize that boundaries are important and Atleast the SP chooses to be honest about it from the get go. It's one of those things where the only explanation I can rly justify this type of discussion is "it is what it is". It happens and no amount of discussion will really get to the bottom of it, so might as well accept that some people have these boundaries and others don't. Just like some girls provide certain services and others don't, it's at the discretion of the provider because like I stated earlier comfort is key! There is also this HUGE assumption that all the sps all the time post all their own ads. And when you see something like that disclaimer in an ad, for the reason you have presented here, I would say 99% of the time this is not the personal preference of the sp, and she is not determining who she sees, nor what is in her ads. I find this lack of understanding on the part of new sps and newer to this clients to be something worth educating them on, but then we also run the risk of letting them all assume that any sp with that in her ad is being pimped out by a stereotypical black pimp dude, and that also may not be the case. Not to mention, now we get the racist label for presenting that as the reason, because they simply don't believe it, they don't know this history, and it seems incomprehensible to them in this day and age. So put simple and in stereotypes, tradtional pimps FORBID their sps from seeing black clients, no exceptions, on pain of getting seriously beaten. If people prefer to think badly of the sp, believe me, it is nothing compared to what she could go thru if a black client shows up in spite of her ad, and she also feels pressured to 'make that money'. If being thought of as a redneck racist keeps her safe, then by all means, I'm all about everyone assuming she's a redneck racist, as long as that means all potential clients of colour do not show up at her door.

What it all boils down to is the providers comfort zone and preference.

I have had to delete two threads in the past 24 hours of people using cerb to vent about things that I like to refer to as AIRING OUT YOUR DIRTY LAUNDRY that is not the purpose of CERB and I must delete these posts and give out warnings for such things. For example... calling out a guy who is stalking you in hopes that he reads your thread about him on cerb (THIS WOULD NOT BE ALLOWED!). If you have a stalker CALL THE POLICE do not bring these problems (or encourage these people) to/on cerb. If it is a cerb member REPORT him/her to me and CALL the police. Posting about someone in public who is obviously unstable and harassing you will only make things worse and could encourage that person to escalate his/her attempts to harass you. If you have a TIFF with someone, keep it off cerb please. For example #2... If you work in a massage spa and as an escort on the site and you want to complain in public that guys are coming to see you in the massage spa and talking about your escorting (or looking for "extra's at the spa")... this is something you need to deal with privately not complaining on cerb about it. The point I am getting at here is cerb is NOT to be used as a place to vent, a place to call out other people or air out your dirty laundry. Some things are better dealt with in private or by the proper authorities.

The reminder is also for those who partake in bbbjs. The one thing gay guys in this category and sps have in common is the possibility of multiple partners, and unprotected oral sex. Why are these guys so argumentive about an SP not wanting to see them? If you are browbeating a lady into seeing you, or you arrive with a chip on your shoulder it is not going to be a great session. I don't think it's a lack of funds, free time, or sexual freedom that's holding back the sex trade from evolving to have more male escorts serving female clients. I think there are couple main gender indentity mindsets that stand in the way. I think our society still has it deeply ingrained that men pursue women and that's how it works. Men are told to pursue women, and seeing a prostitute is another form of that. A man seeing a female prostitute fits with the traditional gender roles that men have the power of initiation and women have the power rejection. Even women who would be considered "empowered modern women" frequently still prefer the man to take the lead in romance. Their romance and sex fantasies revolve around a man pursuing her, not the other way around. I've known countless women who will never make the first move, even if she fancies a man. And going to see a prositute is making a big first move. I think personal safety is also more of a concern for women. Telling nobody where you're going to be alone with a total stranger goes against the safety precautions women are taught since childhood. Men are always told that they can handle themselves and men don't typically fear violence from women. Also, I think women's insecurities get the way of them having sex more than men. A lot women say that they don't have sex because they don't feel sexy. They're embarssed about how they look naked etc. This doesn't seem to be as big an issue for men. These are just some thoughts. Thank-you. I have seen this before on that site too many times over the last few years and I cannot believe that all women could be so racist. From what I have witnessed over there, this isn't even about racism at all where the SP is concerned. It may be more of a territorial issue where some men may not be welcome. It happened to a client of mine and he is black and was refused at the door. I explained to him the possibilities of why the appointment was declined and he was then able to move on from it. Yes saying that in an ad definitely comes across as racist but I think in many of these situations it goes way beyond that. I don't want to expand on my theories and don't want to generalize but some may not even be making their own personal choices as to who they want to see and don't want to see.

I never seen Kandie myself , YET, but I have some info on her. I actually posted about looking for info on her a few months back in the New Brunswick section as she was in Moncton for a few weeks. It's not racism. It's personal preference for WHATEVER reason. This topic has been discussed before on cerb, most notably: http://cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=181140&highlight=blacks I am in no way speaking for everyone, but I have met some SPs who are will not see black clients, tell me the reason for doing so is their past/present boyfriends or handlers were black men and they don't see clients of the same race they date. I knew an Sp who was of another ethnicity who would not see clients of that ethnic group because she did not want to run into anyone she might know from her community. Sps provide an intimate service and are when it comes to our bodies, it's our rules. And we shouldn't have to explain ourselves to anyone.

Fewer women pay for sex because a) women aren't taught to explore their own sexualities and desires b) women still earn less than men and have less income to toss around c) women are still the primary caregivers when children are involved, so those women also have less time to spend looking for a decent male escort.

Besides, and as skates mentioned, they're only parties where people have a tremendous amount of fun socializing over food and drinks.

Hey Someguy. I think this is a great question and I really appreciate everyone's responses and perhaps happy I am not much different from many of you guys. As for me there is always some degree of nervousness, no matter how many times I see a lady. First encounters are usually the worst.
