Right now, it's not as easy as moving something offshore because those who reap the benefit cannot still be in the originating country. Therefore CERB WILL be complying with the laws and there will be NO FS advertisers permitted here. Likewise, if a lady is advertising on CERB and their website or other advertising has ANY connection with a sexual service, CERB will be removing their access. What this means is you, as a hobbyists, will have to read between the lines of advertising and websites. You will be receiving time and companionship only. No one is permitted to speak about sexual services for money in any place. It has not been defined whether the internet/email/text is defined as a place but to protect yourself, assume so. It will be vitally important to avoid any ads on BP from new providers that cannot be confirmed through others as LE will probably employ stings to catch clients. After Royal Assent you have 30 days until C36 becomes law; use it wisely. If there are those you would like to see or discuss anything with, now is the time. If there are providers you're interested in but have not yet seen, try to establish their legitimacy now. Reputable ladies are here to protect their clients as well as their business. One thing to remember is that although this will be law, the time, effort and money required by LE to police these laws is no more than it is now. You have to look at priority, scale and risk involved. There is so much vagueness to this law that many judicial and LE agencies would have a difficult time delving into all the aspects. Yes, it is law but also employ common sense to know how much can be done and how. I hope this is the right section for this thread. Maybe should be in new to this section? I want to start this thread for new and upcoming ladies to the industry. With this community being an excellent source of information, us providers who are experienced and have learned the hard way we can share our words of wisdom to those who are just beginning their business:) So post what you have learned over the years and let's help our lady friends get started in right direction:) I will begin with this word: Investments for ads. The cheapest investment is your effort and time you put in on your advertisements. You may not have much cash in the beginning to invest in expensive ads, photo's and search engines. But, by putting a real effort into making your ads well written ( IE: Do not use "i" use the proper "I"), fun and enticing is a good start. Make it interesting with theme, but still be yourself. What is that makes you amazing? Learn the tools that are available. Maybe write yourself a few good ads that you can copy paste, add or subtract from. Put time into building your own site. This will eliminate the need of hiring or bartering off for skills. There are so many web site builders are easy to use. Also for posting your ads, find reliable places such as CERB, EC, etc...Make sure the site you use reflects your standards. If using a paid classified ad such as BP and you only have a small budget, post them on the pay days or buy a month package. Read, watch and learn from other ladies. See what is it that YOU like about them, BUT do not copy them! Just ask yourself, why do I like this ad? This photo? Then see if it is within your means. Also more sites you use, the easier it is to find you in google searches. Hope other ladies will add to this? What is the next major step for new business ladies should consider?

When you feel uneasy about a client and your instincts are telling you so, listen to them! They are never wrong! If you don't feel right about meeting someone, there is always another client that will come along. I have declined many appointments in my time and have never regretted it. At the end of the day, safety and feeling comfortable take priority over money.

Another thing. If you post pictures, DO NOT use pictures you've used on your social media sites (Facebook etc). They can then use tineye (or similar) to find out your real name.

Learn to say no. Learn to set boundaries, and when they are set, no exceptions. Do not think that you are hurting someone's feelings or risking future trouble/harassment when you say no to someone rude, pushy, or asks for services outside your boundaries. You are showing them you are not a pushover, and you are freeing yourself up for the next caller, who is not rude and pushy. In other words, just because someone calls, doesn't mean you can't say no to them.

I always say safety comes first in terms of knowledge of the industry, especially for those who are new. Find a good doctor and/or gynecologist one who is open to what you are doing, some are and some aren't and educate yourself on the potential risks of what services you are going to offer (always a risk but some are greater than others). Find out where the free clinics are too in your local area just incase you really need one and your regular doctor is not available. They usually have a ton of information on different diseases, risk potential etc. and are more compassionate about your choice to be in the industry, easier to talk to sometimes than your regular doctor may be. Most free clinics also give out free condoms, lube, some have dental dams, female condoms - make use of that. Some cities also have condom fairies where they will come to your home or your workspace and drop condoms and lube off to you. Team up with an experienced SP or two, you certainly don't have to meet them in person but even just build up a relationship with them via pm, phone or email, whatever your comfort level. We are often left feeling isolated and most of us can't talk to our mainstream friends or family about what it is that we do, so try not to do that to yourself. You can also see if they're willing to help you with time checks etc. Educate yourself on local advocates in your area too, in case a serious instance happens (hopefully not) they are a great resources in terms of information, legal info and support. They too can provide you with tons of information of risks surrounding the industry and practices/services you're offering and they also have free condoms, lube avail. And well you can talk to them about EVERYTHING. Some of them are retired, part time or full time in the industry and some have never worked, but they choose to support us and you'll find they are a very understanding and wonderful bunch of ladies.

I am one who generally likes natural breasts. That being said, I know there is a time/circumstance when EB will really help a girls self esteem. Time-perhaps in her 30's and 1 or 2 kids. Circumstance-an average size girl with A or B cups which give her too much of the classic pear shape and she wants to be in better proportion, top to bottom. BTW spinners look best with A's or B's. I take pride in being 1 individual who convinced a spinner to stay with her A cups as there is a large group in the Ottawa IBTC. Within the last year I have come across 2 ladies who got EB. Needless to say they positively glowed afterwards. The smile on their faces was undeniable and I am so happy for them. First and foremost, I think new providers should work for an established business. Escort, massage or dancing; find a place that is safe and has your interests at heart. Learn the fundamentals before you try taking on the administration. Trying to figure out how to work an appointment while facilitating your marketing, screening and real life is the recipe for overwhelm. Take it one step at a time, learn the industry from people that know. Remember this game is sold, not told so you need to invest in your learning and the most effective investment is in who you work for first. Yes, you split your income but it's infinitely worth it if you are working for the right people. They will teach you more than you could learn on your own. Learn to walk before you try to run. The second is don't take advice from clients. (sorry fellas who have posted, I'm not saying your advice isn't valid but...) Initially, you should listen but if it isn't backed up by a peers or another experienced providers don't act on it until you know it's genuine advice and not self motivated for their benefit. There are some that will guide based on your needs but those that simply want to further their agenda will erode your success in the industry. Third is network. Invest time in getting to know other providers, even if its only online. The returns are bankable... cat

If you create a cerb profile, add some information about yourself. I see many providers here who have no pictures, no basic info (age, height, body type, hair colour etc). So the client has no clue about you. You don't have to write a novel, but do include something other then female provider.

Montreal is very nice in the fall... At the risk of keeping this thread going, I'd like to add that I started telling the SPs what my racial background is in my introduction. In the past, I've had a few appointments that didn't go as well as expected. Can't describe it really, just didn't feel that the SP wanted to be there. Now I'm not saying that it was because of my race but since I've been telling the SPs upfront, I've not had similar encounters. I have, on the other hand, had several SP not respond to my request at all. I alway make three attempts, don't know why but I'm a baseball fan so three strikes, your out. It's safe to say that these SP definitely had the chance to respond but chose not to for what ever reason. I'm fine with this because the SP that do respond are happy to see me and we have a great time together. I know this is an N of one but it works for me and that's what counts in the end. In my head, I believe it also works for the SP and that's what counts for them. It works for the two parties that's going to get intimate together so It's a win win and I'm not counting it as racism. By the way, the weather sucks in TO right now.

Did they give you an anonymous ID number for your test? Maybe call them and ask. My own doctor only calls if there is something I should know about. If the test is negative they don't call. So hopefully that's why you have not been called.

I certainly wasn't talking about black men in my posts at all. Black populations in Alberta and BC are very limited. I rarely see black men and when I do I'm usually surprised, because they are so few and far between. Never had a problem with black men. Now once in a while one will give me a call but usually they are just traveling from out of country and try the "pimp" crap lines but never one that lives in BC or Alberta.

Over the past few weeks, I've had times, for hours on end, not been able to log into CERB? The message that is get is that the server is very busy and to try logging on latter. Has anyone else experience this? Is CERB getting too popular? I use the Tapatalk ap on my mobile device to access CERB.

This has happened at least a couple of times in the last 2 weeks or so. Yesterday, it was of a shorter duration. No doubt the mods are working on something - most likely in anticipation of the new law.

Like the gentlemen here, I would like to add a couple of advice from the client's perspective. Do not give in to pressure to post your face pics. Sure, you might attract more business if potential clients see your face and know whom they are seeing. But once the pics are out in the cyberspace, they are out for the whole world to see - no turning back. The next advice is - read, read, and read. Forums like cerb are a wealth of information. One area would be of tremendous help is the recommendation section. These recommendations are posted by satisfied customers and they contain ideas that you may want to copy to improve your level of service.

Over the years I have considered it. But have not yet come to a conclusion. At times I feel that I would feel more feminine with enhanced, other times I wonder if I would feel comfortable? Would I be ones these horror stores of things going wrong? What if I paid 9000.00 and then be unhappy with it? I suppose, for being nearly 40, my breasts are in the exact place they should be as not having children I am sure has a role to play in that. I have also considered Buttocks enhancement, lol...

I am not a lady SP :) So I hope its okay if I add my two cents in here. There is lots I could say based on observations I have but I will just say a few. This is a business like any other business. Do some research and figure out what other successful SP's are doing and how they are doing it. Make a business plan. Which also entails figuring out what market your going after. You have at one end of the spectrum a SP tailoring her approach to meeting the high end low volume market and others doing BP. Once you figure out your market you need to tailor your approach for what works for that market. Always remember the cardinal rule in any business with a new client you only get one chance to make a first impression. So if your going to make one initial purchase make it pictures that reflect the you that you want to project to your clients. I have seen many SP's some with fancy websites and others with a simple BP add. I have talked to a few of the ladies I met through their BP add about getting a professional approach because they are every bit as beautiful and talented as a lady that may charge 2 or 3 times as much for their time. Charging more is not always a bad thing. I have 6 businesses. I raise my rates on a few of them, I do less work for the same amount of money in the end. But in doing so I have more energy to spend on that business and more free time to enjoy the time I am not working. (Which in my case is not true because I find free time I tend to start another business lol ) A sure sign your doing well is your ability to say No. I know myself when starting a new business I typically chase business because I want to make money. When I reach the point I am able to say no to business that I would have taken when I first started up I know I am doing well. This reco is a bit late but I want to thank Victoria for the great morning fun during her visit in the Ottawa area. Watermark all your photos that you put online. This will give you your branding and make it harder for other less than savoury providers to steal your pics. Your name and perhaps your contact info on them. We have all heard many many times of stolen pics.

However, there are safer sex practices which can reduce the risk of acquiring STIs (side note: they're mostly referred to as sexually transmitted infections as not all infections will have symptoms or develop into a disease. Also, infections can be and generally are treatable, whereas disease can carry a lot of stigma. My piece: You can only know with 100% certainty your OWN sexual health status. Get tested. And remember that there are screening windows, and that tests are only accurate as of that period of time. Educate yourself. There is a lot of information available, and some of it is not always accurate. Stick to reputable sources of information and use your critical thinking skills. Communicate! As providers, we have often taken the responsibility to educate ourselves. If you're unsure about something, or want to clarify what practices will be used, please ask but remember to do so respectfully. Asking someone "what diseases do you have?" is not going to get you off to the right start. (And yes, I have been asked that!)

Ok I am not arguing with you but need to point this statement out..... In the example I gave, and have many more like it.... In MY example, the lady is white, but had a Black BF, therefore did not want to make herself available to others in the community who may know her and her BF??? I think what needs to be remembered is racism is but one form of discrimination There is also discrimination because of age, sex, sexual orientation, weight, disabilities etc But there is also sexual preference, not racism, because of age, sexual orientation, weight, disabilities and race, and there may be a very valid reason for someone's sexual preference. Unless those clients and ladies who label others racist are absolutely without any form of discrimination themselves not just in words but in actions,there should be no painting of others as racist. Ok I was going to stay away from this thread, but after reading this I feel I need to speak up. At the end of the day no matter what the reason, if a provider is not comfortable with a particular race ( at times even age groups ) then there is no point to booking with that client as it will make for a very uncomfortable experience and resulting in an awkward session for both parties. Do we all not want to have connection and chemistry?? Do you not want A genuine interest, not forced and faked? Also, if a provider chooses not to see a particular race or age group and by putting it on her web site or ads, then it is eliminating the time wasted and being rejected on your enquiry. I would say these are preferences and not racism. As shown in the example below.... I know a lady who LOVES to be with black men personally, but as for working NO. This is because we are in a very small town and for her to accept black clients it is increasing her chances of "outing" herself to their own group of friends. SHE IS NO WAY raciest.

Gent's may want to start asking for a reference for a new lady by an established provider as a safety measure.

I don't see really young guys, because I have sons in their 20's and one of their friends could show up at my door, I'd rather pass on that possible outcome. One time I was working in Calgary, a guy called me to prearrange an appointment for the next morning. The next morning I show up and a young pimple faced kid answers the door and I'm like, think I got the wrong house and he's like no I had my friend call you. I'm super uncomfortable at that point but proceeded anyway, asked him for ID, the whole nine. That was the MOST uncomfortable session I ever had and I've dealt with my fair share of weirdness in the almost 30 yrs I've been working and I gave him some advice while I was leaving and told him to ensure that next time he tells a lady how old he is. Something else to add to this with the ethnicity aspects, I don't think it's anyone's business to judge anyone else for not wanting to see certain ethnicities people have a right to refuse anyone they don't want to see. Just like pooners have the right not see someone either for whatever reasons. And some people get really rude and ignorant, even threatening when they are refused service during the screening process. And when some people think they are entitled to service just because they have money, I'll pass on that, as well as their condescending attitudes with yelling at you on the phone and YES people do that to some of us. I'm (obviously) not a sex worker, but if I could offer one thing.... If you bring in a health professional for STD talks, do your best to get one with knowledge and expertise. Why do I say that? In my research over the past several months (for my own knowledge and not for issues), I've discovered there is still a lot of misinformation given, and debate, out there...even among those in the medical community. Someone who is aware of all that would be the best one to go with. Just a thought for what it's worth. :)

In the event of this bill passing and how the industry keeps evolving, people will adjust to change because they will have to. I've seen many changes over time and the way business will be conducted is one of them. I've been through many of these changes as to how SPs and customers communicate and in the last few years, imo has become way too explicit and brazen. Even though techinically it is a business transaction, it literally has become a business transaction. Imo, the experience of seeing an SP and spending time together has been thrown out the window through the medium of classified ads. Everything seems to be now, now, now and "What can I get for this price?", "I only need 10 minutes of your time, what can I get?". We might as well all be in a Starbucks type setting taking and receiving orders. Perhaps this will bring back the aspect of "paying for time and companionship" and not just a particular act. I come from the era of meeting a gentleman behind closed doors where what we do is only to privy to two consenting adults and not for the whole world to know.

The Conservatives will lose the next election and C-36 will be struck down. It's just a matter of time...
