I can't speak for anyone else, but I plan to treat C36 with the contempt it deserves and carry on as I do now. As far as the guys are concerned, I suspect that provided you can avoid the cops who are posing as SPs either on the street or on BP, etc then your chances of getting caught are vanishingly small.

Im new as well to cerb but I don't think asking for 2-3 days of flirting is a reasonable expectation. These girls are working and if you are asking for 2 to 3 days of thrills doing sexting, I would say your expectations are a bit unrealistic. Just my opinion Don't take it personally.

Being an SP I can certainly tell you "endless texts" get very annoying for us. You aren't the only person trying to see us or contact us at any certain time and we get a startling amount of time-wasters. If you need to "chat it up" perhaps look for SPs like myself who frequent the chatroom in cerb. When I have free time for "idle chit chat" I pop in there for exactly that reason. If you're getting short answer replies it could be any number of reasons, including but not limited to: -she might be in the middle of cooking her dinner and so being pre-occupied is one reason -she may have already had 6 different guys waste her time this morning and you are unfortunately the straw breaking the camel's back -Maybe she is with friends right now and doesn't want to be rude by being on her phone the whole time so keeping her answers short allows her to enjoy her social life -Maybe she's just not very good with words -Maybe she's just a bitch Or, and this one will maybe piss people off but oh well.... -Maybe you need to realize that you're not paying them for time you text, but the time you spend with them in person. Many ladies here have a website that can and will answer all the questions you may have. Some ladies won't even take the time to answer questions about their rates, they will refer you to their site and be pissy about it. SPs do not owe you a single moment outside of what you are paying for, and that being said means your texts are using time that is not in fact paid for. I am amazed reading all the different posts with regards to the new law to see how many got spoiled with this business having moved to the internet. It's illegal to seek sexual services for money. The ladies, for the most part, that I see don't even have a menu. They are escorts and seeing them isn't illegal. Right now, it's not as easy as moving something offshore because those who reap the benefit cannot still be in the originating country. Therefore CERB WILL be complying with the laws and there will be NO FS advertisers permitted here. Likewise, if a lady is advertising on CERB and their website or other advertising has ANY connection with a sexual service, CERB will be removing their access. What this means is you, as a hobbyists, will have to read between the lines of advertising and websites. You will be receiving time and companionship only. No one is permitted to speak about sexual services for money in any place. It has not been defined whether the internet/email/text is defined as a place but to protect yourself, assume so. It will be vitally important to avoid any ads on BP from new providers that cannot be confirmed through others as LE will probably employ stings to catch clients. After Royal Assent you have 30 days until C36 becomes law; use it wisely. If there are those you would like to see or discuss anything with, now is the time. If there are providers you're interested in but have not yet seen, try to establish their legitimacy now. Reputable ladies are here to protect their clients as well as their business. One thing to remember is that although this will be law, the time, effort and money required by LE to police these laws is no more than it is now. The overwhelming majority of players both sp's and clients don't belong or participate on the various boards and I dare say some of have no idea C-36 is even coming down or what it might or might not mean. So obviously there will be some casualties and I assume ignorance will not be excused. There will be media coverage on the initial arrests and disposition of the charges for sure. Once that happens and a clearer picture is available there will be a further review of participation for some. Each individual will measure the risk/reward based on their personal situations. I was just thinking the same thing... A lot of criticism is heaped on this board for not allowing negative reviews. Valid points, but I think I finally know why I come to this site now. Its not for "who should you stay away from" but more, "who you should see". And that's a lot safer bet for a good time, in my books. Broadly speaking those who plan to "carry on regardless" seem to offer one of two rationales: 1) what I do won't actually be breaking the new law or 2) law enforcement won't find it worthwhile to enforce the law, at least not in the circumstances in which I will be breaking it. My own view is that any hobbyist thinking the first thing is fooling himself, though as I understand it that will be true for SPs a lot of the time. The second one, I don't know, that could be right. It's true, what people have been doing has frequently been illegal under the current law and there hasn't tended to be much enforcement - other than in special circumstances, like a lot of media hype about underage prostitution, complaints about a particular location, or that sort of thing. I guess the question is whether "there's a new law" is in and of itself enough of a special circumstance that, at least for a while, there will be enforcement which otherwise wouldn't have taken place. Everyone's entitled to their own comfort level with that risk, and maybe it is accurately described as "vanishingly small", maybe not, but either way it's a mistake to pretend the risk doesn't exist.

Although I can certainly understand where the OP is coming from and his reluctance to keep on seeing ladies because he now risks the possibility of having a tarnished reputation, you really have to understand those in support of Bill C-36 and what their objectives are. These are people that want to do rescue work (it's very profitable) and although they want to END our entire industry, the porn industry etc. they have main targets of where they want to start. Then the next thing they carry on about are the all the "underage ladies" that are being "trafficked" and working "against their will" or "being pimped". When you think about it logically, who can they brainwash more easily into buying their "victim mentality and agenda"? Those who don't speak English and don't understand what's going on and those that are super young and naive. Those are the type of people they prey on, who they deem to be the most vulnerable. If you've got super asshole police officers in your city where they bust frequently, etc. then yeah I can see them picking on some independent ladies, but remember one thing, the abolishment agencies have an agenda and your average independent lady isn't it. CERB is already hosted outside of Canada, but owned and operated in Canada. First and foremost, I think new providers should work for an established business. Escort, massage or dancing; find a place that is safe and has your interests at heart. Learn the fundamentals before you try taking on the administration. Trying to figure out how to work an appointment while facilitating your marketing, screening and real life is the recipe for overwhelm. Take it one step at a time, learn the industry from people that know. Remember this game is sold, not told so you need to invest in your learning and the most effective investment is in who you work for first. Yes, you split your income but it's infinitely worth it if you are working for the right people. They will teach you more than you could learn on your own. Learn to walk before you try to run. The second is don't take advice from clients. (sorry fellas who have posted, I'm not saying your advice isn't valid but...) Initially, you should listen but if it isn't backed up by a peers or another experienced providers don't act on it until you know it's genuine advice and not self motivated for their benefit. There are some that will guide based on your needs but those that simply want to further their agenda will erode your success in the industry. Third is network. It really does baffle me that some people think they are safe with the existing laws now. What about being found in a bawdy house? Point being is that most people visiting SPs have ALWAYS taken a risk in one form or another which could have also turned their worlds upside down and no one seemed to care. Only difference now is a criminal record will be in place to make it official. The only thing that is going to change is that people are actually going to have to do their research. Sorry Emily, I missed your original point. I would think if you're not advertising here then it would be okay to be a member. It's all about the advertising and the discussing for money. If neither of those things are happening then as a "regular" member it shouldn't impact. The final decision on that is solely in the hands of the CERB hierarchy. Hopefully we will know solid details about many aspects in the next week or so.

When you feel uneasy about a client and your instincts are telling you so, listen to them! They are never wrong! If you don't feel right about meeting someone, there is always another client that will come along. I have declined many appointments in my time and have never regretted it. I for one will not keep a txt going. Once you have made your enquiry and worked out your details you should refrain from sending a bunch more. YES. Make friends with some of the ladies in the industry because you will need support and someone to laugh with and vent to. Being alone in this business is isolating and frustrating, especially because none of your non-escort friends will truly understand. If you do tell your non-escort friends about your new job, be prepared for a variety of reactions. Did I say we need to retire? No. But when we're being told that we will not be allowed to be on cerb if we are advertising sexual services off cerb, and if communicating for the purposes of sexual services is illegal, I would personally be happier if the more explicit reviews were deleted or edited. And that my older ads were deleted. I still get people who someone find my old massage ads here and assume I offer the same services. For the discretion of my clients, I would be happier if I could have the ability to delete those old ads.

Just because there are certain amount of hours in the day and that you could be available doesn't always mean you should be. We are not machines and I have my own personal quota of how many appts I wish to do in a day. When I meet my quota, I tell people I'm booked for the day. It's also no ones business how many appts you do in a day. They probably assume I'm very busy but truth be told as a seasoned SP, I have built up a lot of regular clientele over the last few w and there are days I dont advertise. Just a thought to share, as for being concerned over old ads, reco's etc... we can also add a small disclaimer to each ad that states " I work within the guidelines of Canada Criminal Code. In my opinion, I see who I want to see, when I want to see them. End of story. As it has been said before on this thread, my body, my rules. My requirements are this: - be of at least age of majority in the area of where I am at any given time - be courteous and have read my 'policies' (rudeness gets you nowhere) - don't ask for things that I explicitly do not offer - don't ask for reductions What I give back: - a splendid way for you to spend time with me - an experience that you won't soon forget - provide you with the best luxuries and sensations that I can - answer your sincere inquiries in a timely and courteous manner I don't believe that I have ever asked a potential client what their racial/ethnic background is, it just never occurred to me to do so. I take a look at in which manner a gentleman has approached me, their attitude in conversation (whether that be PM, contact page, or email), and if they have read my website for further information. I carry on conversations with the potential client in such a way that I can get an accurate picture of 'are we going to be a good pairing'. Questions or emails that just have 'rates and are you available at xxx time' leads me to believe that said person has not read anything, and is just looking for a quick 'lay'. Providers give experiences, good ones. If I feel from the first few initial responses that we are not a good pairing, I will convey that to the client. But I do it carefully so as not to offend. Prejudice and racism is always going to exist in any business, I just choose not to participate in it. I am pretty sure that I will not meet the requirements of what clients are looking for sometimes, but I sure don't get offended by it. I am certainly not a spinner, nor am I 19, and this is what some clients want. As long as the 4 'requirements' are met, your background has nothing to do with how good a time we will have together. It will be your attitude and maturity that will lead to a great session. :)
