- New to the biz sps are always busy. They are busier in the first 6 months than they will be in the following months. Do not expect the same level of interest in month number 7. do not start spending the money earned in months 1 to 5 as if it will continue to come in the same way all the time. - Do not make the new sp mistake of arrogance and entitlement. Men find sps attractive, and they shower compliments. But whether the sp is young and fit, or older and curvy, the compliments are showered just as much for the mature as the young. Being young is not an excuse for being rude and dismissive of mature sps, and it also goes back to point #1; the new sp is a busy sp, far busier than she will be when the newness runs out. in other words, you are not more special than any other sp out there, so make them your friends, not your enemies. - Don't keep throwing money into ads that are not bringing in a return. Be choosy about where and when you post ads. Even if you are available 24/7, never put that in your ads, and don't post ads very late at night. This can be done by a more experienced, sp, but not a new one. The drunk, the high, the somewhat crazier clients come out after 10pm, you have to have the skills to deal with them. Which goes back to my initial post: learn how to say no, and not all money is good money. - Clients are clients, not your new BFFs. They do not need your personal information, and they should not have access to your personal space. You have to exercise control over the amount of information you give out, and assume that at least one of the people you talk to whether client or another sp, will spread it around to people that you do not want to have it. There are many sps who have had this happen to them. The sps who have never shared one personal detail, or a face pic, or whatever, have never been exposed to their friends, family or neighbours. Boundaries are there for a reason.

As someone who is also very experienced in this business, my advice is not to get cocky and think you're the best in terms of headlines when it comes to advertising. I see this all the time in other advertising venues and it really does say a lot about the person promoting themselves that way. Being "the best" is very subjective and an SP will never entirely convince the masses.. While it is always great to appear confident, being egotistical and arrogant will not viewed favorably especially if you need to network with other SPs or wish to have certain resources available to you as time goes on such as being part of a private SP area. Reputation and professionalism are two of the most important qualities to have in this business. Not only do these qualities matter when it comes to clients but also how your fellow SPs view you as well.

I was just thinking the same thing... A lot of criticism is heaped on this board for not allowing negative reviews. Valid points, but I think I finally know why I come to this site now. Its not for "who should you stay away from" but more, "who you should see". And that's a lot safer bet for a good time, in my books. I'm not interested in trying out someone new unless they have a number of good reviews from a number of respected reviewers. Its not like I have a billion dollars to be pooning every evening. Its a rare case that I get the chance to go out, and I really, really don't want to waste that. And now, with C36 coming in, its even more important to work with well respect, well reviewed ladies.

I don't pretend to be a lawyer, but as been suggested on this board several times in many threads, stick to reputable providers and do not discuss sexual services in email, or text and you should be fine. No one knows for sure how LE will interpret and go about enforcing the new law(s), but you can bet that they will probably focus their attention on what's been described as "the low hanging fruit".

Ok, first of all, no reputable lady in her right mind is going to throw you under the bus, word would spread quickly and that would be the end of her career. I used to work with young female ladies and talk to them about gang violence, so let's just say I've been to criminal court more times than I'd care to admit to (not for me lol) .. I've also been working in this industry for a lot of years and I've never personally had an issue with police even when I was young/stupid and worked on the streets (over 20 yrs ago). A police officer does not have to identify him/herself and can take whatever measures he/she wants in order to bust you. They do not at any time have to admit that they are a police officer. Ladies get more victimized in this situation then men do (sorry boys but it's true) and there's often bribery/extortion etc. to provide favours in exchange for not being charged/sent to the clink etc. and I can see a whole can of worms being opened up where that's concerned with this new bill being passed .. for ladies. This was VERY common back in the day when we all worked out on the streets, many moons ago, it still happens but dropped a bit when everyone moved indoors. I hear a lot about this in terms of incidents in the US and other countries, once in a while here in Canada, but not so much, although I'm pretty sure more goes unreported. If an ad looks too good to be true, it more than likely is and there's usually super hot, young looking ladies used as pictures in the ads. They also usually use a bargain basement price to give you that double whammy, lure you in type scenario. And a lot of times, I'll even know there's a bust going on, because sometimes, they've used established porn star pictures. Stick with reputable sp's, do your research. I know it's hard at times for you boys to maintain control over the little head at times, but use the big head, common sense. One thing I do know to the best of my knowledge that LE has never used a web site claiming it to be their own in order to put up a sting and as far as I know they've also never claimed to have reviews or be reviewed. It's always some super hot pics and a bargain price, even 2 for 1 deals. If you google her number and there's no history at all, she's got no web site and no reviews, chances are it's a sting or she's super new and I feel really bad for the new ladies trying to get into the industry right now. Sorry for the rambling lol but we ladies can get more charges laid against us now and will be open to more victimization than you guys will. I'm not trying to marginalize your feelings, worries etc. that would be wrong. Our issues are equally important, but ladies can get a whole stem of charges and risk being blackmailed/extorted wherein you get one.

If an sp admits to being paid for sexual services, then she admits to also committing criminal activity (advertising, bawdy house). I don't see how or why an sp would admit to that. I also think the idea of being surveilled or monitored is essentially the type of fear this new law is meant to instill to prevent these activities from taking place. As far as the guys are concerned, I suspect that provided you can avoid the cops who are posing as SPs either on the street or on BP, etc then your chances of getting caught are vanishingly small.

I agree with with most of what you said, but new does not always mean new to the industry, new to a city too, if you have never been there before, despite whatever. You know what I mean lol So be to clear, what FO is saying, NEW just not young new or that type of thing. I made more money in my thirties than I did at any other age and I have been around long before that. And whenever I tour to a new city, I am booked solid. Being an SP I can certainly tell you "endless texts" get very annoying for us. You aren't the only person trying to see us or contact us at any certain time and we get a startling amount of time-wasters. Quick suggestion and no disrespect, but why not try some of the ladies that are recommended by your fellow hobbyists. You've been on this board long enough to understand who provides a great service. After Royal Assent you have 30 days until C36 becomes law; use it wisely. If there are those you would like to see or discuss anything with, now is the time. If there are providers you're interested in but have not yet seen, try to establish their legitimacy now. Reputable ladies are here to protect their clients as well as their business. One thing to remember is that although this will be law, the time, effort and money required by LE to police these laws is no more than it is now. You have to look at priority, scale and risk involved. There is so much vagueness to this law that many judicial and LE agencies would have a difficult time delving into all the aspects. The general rule is no news is good news. If they have your contact information, then they can call you if something is up. If you did not give contact information, it's best to call back.

Typically the doctor in an out patient clinic will call only if something is abnormal. If you were to see your family doctor, he/she would inform you of abnormalities immediately. If nothing was "wrong" you'd be informed your next appointment you've a clean bill of health.

Take your ques from the USA sting operations where Le is posing as an sp. She always gets the client to specify what specific sexual service he wants for the dollar amount. She will keep insisting he specify this until he does. The difference between the USA and Canada, is that in the usa it is a also illegal for the provider, so they also do stings on the providers too. Again, getting her to specify what specific service she will provide for the service. Here, that won't be the case as they are not making it illegal for us to sell our services. Btw, I personally would not even discuss any specific service even when behind closed doors, until AFTER the money has been paid. You can clarify the amount of time you are purchasing just not the specifics. That's my opinion. Stings never progress to an actual sexual encounter either. None taken. There are people who get offended by having their opinions challenged; I don't consider myself one of them, and I hope I live up to that. Obviously we're all speculating at this point, but I actually think you're right - LE may come under some political pressure, and there will probably be zealots within LE who won't need external pressure. However, LE can resist political pressure if need be; when LE and politicians get into a fight, it tends to be the politicians who back down. The police are more respected by the general population, and the politicians know it. I think what will happen will be pretty much what happens now: LE will respond primarily to public concerns, and when they do they'll tend to go after the low-hanging fruit. And as I said elsewhere, this will involve putting a cop on a street corner or an ad on BP, and arresting the guys who take the bait. It requires relatively little effort, gives them some arrests that they can parade as evidence that they're "doing something". It also hits the most visible section of the sex-work community: the street workers, who are also the ones who arouse public ire simply because of their visibility. But I maintain what I said elsewhere: if you don't look for street workers, and you aren't on the lookout for the new arrival on BP, your chances of getting caught are vanishingly small. Yes. 30 days after it gets Assent it becomes law. It will remain law until/unless a court puts a stay on it or strikes it down, or it's repealed or changed by a subsequent law. Then the next thing they carry on about are the all the "underage ladies" that are being "trafficked" and working "against their will" or "being pimped". This will be where they start, because they can "rescue" more "victims" in massage parlours than they can individual ladies, ladies that are established and those of us that have been around for a long time. When you think about it logically, who can they brainwash more easily into buying their "victim mentality and agenda"? Those who don't speak English and don't understand what's going on and those that are super young and naive. Those are the type of people they prey on, who they deem to be the most vulnerable. If you've got super asshole police officers in your city where they bust frequently, etc. then yeah I can see them picking on some independent ladies, but remember one thing, the abolishment agencies have an agenda and your average independent lady isn't it. I could be 100% wrong in what I've just said, but you really need to understand the inner workings of how they think. Then along came newspapers same thing. Then we could start putting pictures in our ads and when web sites were just starting everyone was asking for them .. now half the people don't read them or do research. Today some guy called me and asked me for information, I told him to google my number .. his response - "I don't have time for that, fuck off" .. He'll be one of those guys that will get a great shock to his system when he gets busted and frankly I won't miss assholes like that.

Learn to say no. Learn to set boundaries, and when they are set, no exceptions. Do not think that you are hurting someone's feelings or risking future trouble/harassment when you say no to someone rude, pushy, or asks for services outside your boundaries. You are showing them you are not a pushover, and you are freeing yourself up for the next caller, who is not rude and pushy. In other words, just because someone calls, doesn't mean you can't say no to them.

I hope this is the right section for this thread. Maybe should be in new to this section? I want to start this thread for new and upcoming ladies to the industry. With this community being an excellent source of information, us providers who are experienced and have learned the hard way we can share our words of wisdom to those who are just beginning their business:) So post what you have learned over the years and let's help our lady friends get started in right direction:) I will begin with this word: Investments for ads. The cheapest investment is your effort and time you put in on your advertisements. You may not have much cash in the beginning to invest in expensive ads, photo's and search engines. But, by putting a real effort into making your ads well written ( IE: Do not use "i" use the proper "I"), fun and enticing is a good start. Make it interesting with theme, but still be yourself. What is that makes you amazing? Learn the tools that are available. Maybe write yourself a few good ads that you can copy paste, add or subtract from. Put time into building your own site. This will eliminate the need of hiring or bartering off for skills. There are so many web site builders are easy to use. Also for posting your ads, find reliable places such as CERB, EC, etc...Make sure the site you use reflects your standards. If using a paid classified ad such as BP and you only have a small budget, post them on the pay days or buy a month package. Read, watch and learn from other ladies. See what is it that YOU like about them, BUT do not copy them! Just ask yourself, why do I like this ad? This photo? Then see if it is within your means. Also more sites you use, the easier it is to find you in google searches. Hope other ladies will add to this? What is the next major step for new business ladies should consider?

i would think that the problem comes in what is actually posted on this site itself. One of my main ad sites (local ads) did a complete overhaul and moderates all new ads to ensure they comply. Well, bp does the same thing, if you post a new ad, plus they already have as their terms, no sexual services permitted. They control the content to comply with the law. What those advertisers do elsewhere has nothing to do with that site, or this one. One of the US sites did their own overhaul, and they no longer permit website links on the ads they post. They also moderate all new ads, to ensure they comply with the no sexual services rule. it is up to the site to monitor what people post on the site, but they will not be liable for simply allowing an sp to post a rule complian ad here, if she does ads elsewhere that would break a rule on this site. doesn't make sense.
