If we find you are linking to a website from cerb that offers such things we will need to BAN your site from linking from cerb. Since people will ignore the law and try to post ads offering such things on cerb we had had to add certain keywords to the censor to ensure no one posts ILLEGAL things. Unfortunately this takes away from the discussion area. Now it is NOT illegal to discuss prostitution or related ACTS but I am not sure how the law will see it if someone is posting that they are a ESCORT (Not offering any PROSTITUTION related extras) and some guy posts saying "Oh, She did such and such with me!" (Guys like to brag when they get something extra that was not advertised....) 2) People may start to try to CIRCUMVENT these words. This will get you SUSPENDED or BANNED as you could put the website in jeopardy. Anyone seeing anyone trying to be creative (offering to do stuff like "squeeze the juice from a hot dog", "Suc the icing off a rooster" or "go in and out of grease for extended vacation" .... you get the point! Please REPORT THIS and DO NOT QUOTE IT! If you reply to it with a quote and do not report it you may also get a warning. 3) Some words are standard words such as O U T C A L L and S E R V I C E and these had to be censored as well as they could be taken the WRONG way and we are being EXTRA VIGILANT at this time to ensure cerb stays within the boundaries of this new law. 4) Use your .... people, don't brag about extra things that may or may not have happened when in private with someone. Just share that you have a nice time, you will see her again and focus on the nice things. More to come but I am asking for help with CENSOR words as well. The silent one has returned. Folks, let's make this simple. There is absolutely NO point in making a censored words list that is available to the general audience. Besides, if you use the "preview post" function, you will know what you can't say. (Thus the substitution of the words "business operator.") We are all adults. We all know what double entendre is about. Unfortunately, so does the powers that be. You don't discuss any SPECIFIC activity in regard to actions between a client and a business operator. A recommendation? "I had a lovely evening with Madame X. She looked fantastic and we enjoyed our time together immensely. I look forward to future meetings." Pretty frickin' simple. The general discussion area will be a minefield for the time being BUT it will get better. Again, avoid using specifics in regard to the business. There is all sorts of sexy talk that can be had - it's conducted on all sorts of venues, not just escort sites. PMs? Use your brains people. That is the kind of stuff that CAN BE subpoenaed for disclosure. Communication for the purposes of prostitution is what everyone needs to avoid. PMs are to arrange meetings. NO DISCUSSION OF ACTIVITY. Websites. Everyone is guilty of being lazy and asking questions that probably are answered on a business operator's site. Go to the site. READ THE FAQs. Don't ask questions that could get either or both of you in trouble. Text Messaging. See the rules for PMs. Same thing. Bottom line... if you don't like the rules, you don't have to stay. CERB is a community that has to operate above board. If you don't like the rules, pack your bags and find a site that suits your sense of danger. Now... back to being an enigma.....

Well, it's been building for a while now and only getting worse. I smell a witch hunt and the intensification of an us versus them attitude, where those who model and best emulate the most sanitized image of the 'Escort' and sometimes, the 'Hobbyist', get their precious brownie points while others, particularly the oh, so very bad and 'risky' workers get shit on. It's bad enough we are being censored to death here to survive. And, yes, it is a real challenge to adapt to this new legislative environment, but it brings things to violence when we have the finger pointing and goody two shoes bull that is going around about 'all those SPs' who are peddling their 'extras' and should really 'know better'...should really do more to not be so 'risky'... And, this messaging is being directed regarding workers in general discussions and not just those formally linked with CERB, but it's functioning in really damaging ways that do affect our Members here and this hurts the culture that people have worked so hard to make supportive and caring and progressively minded...what's going on is slut shaming and another term I don't even think I can use on here now. I've even had personal conversations with workers who were worried that other workers would be tricking them into providing a menu or discussing 'activities' over text and whatnot and that this would be used as a way of thinning the ranks and getting them kicked off of boards like this. Paranoid? I think not, especially given all of the nasty talk and the fear and uncertainty that has transpired in recent weeks...about how all of the change would be handled, about the level of censorship and the reach of control these changes would result in in terms of workers needing to alter their business models and online presences. Under the tyranny of fear and censorship, very lovable people are driven to engage in truly ugly behavior. I think it was a wise decision on the part of the board to make a distinction that those going on with advertising their extras in other places aren't automatically kicked off of CERB, so long as they are not linking their presences or posts here to those other spaces. Otherwise, I know we would have a worse rats nest than we already do now. Just because many of us felt compelled to adapt our business models and advertising practices to continue to try and thrive and provide the most comfort and assurance to our clients who are looking for that, does not give any of us the right to look down or direct hatefulness at those who are not towing the line. And, many of of us who have made these changes are carrying extra burdens and worries in greater isolation than before. There is a cost to sanitizing one's image...just as there is to becoming the Dudley and Dolly do rights who will be hurting their eyes and giving themselves calluses from hitting the report post button so much. [Yeah, there is a difference between reporting a post and becoming the post police or some resentful, makeshift Mod. I can read between the lines that this is happening.] And, for those of my colleagues who have acted as though they don't understand why others are so upset that they have to be censored and constrained in such a way because they've been doing it this way all along with no issues at all, you need to know you are in a minority and that the industry overall does not march to the beat of your drum...very invalidating and politically self-ingratiating behaviour. I see we are under constraints here and that people are fearful and frustrated, but let's really be honest with ourselves about the difference between adapting and surviving versus shitting on people and hyper fixating on their business practices....or, better yet, between playing along and drinking the Kool-Aid. Let's do more on the end of keeping this a supportive space. Besides, witches have more fun ;P

It is sad that our government is systematically taking away our freedoms and freedom of speech is the one we are talking about here.I despise this as much as anyone, especially in the week that we honor so many who have sacrificed so much for these freedoms. However, we have to do what we must to "weather the storm" as it were. This is hard for all of us and we will need to keep our wits about us and work together. Being divided amongst ourselves only hurts us. Let's support the site and the mods in their attempt to keep this community alive and safe for us all. What I see in this community is a great many intelligent, thoughtful adults, not a bunch of squabbling teenagers so let's try to remain civil with each other and united even in the face of something designed to tear this all apart. We will prevail in the long run. I truly believe that even though I admit that it won't be easy. I did not join this site for some "penthouse letters" talking about all the positions and details. I joined here because it seemed to rise above that with class and dignity. Maybe I'm talking out of my butt here but I want this place to go on and remain as a beacon of how to engage in this hobby the "right" way.

One of my best friends ever has gone MIA. He is in his 80s, and so I have a bad feeling. I haven't heard from him since early August. Even worse, I've found nothing in the obits (which I'd prefer to thinking he's in some state of hell between life and death). Because we met in this way, I can't really approach his family to find out what's going on. Even though I know so much about them, they know nothing about me and it has to stay that way. We met the morning of the 911 attacks. Throughout our first encounter (which went very well), my phone was ringing off the hook downstairs, and people were screaming on my answering machine. At that time, I was very involved with sport politics with skydiving. At first, I thought someone went in. Then I began to wonder if we'd lost a whole plane load. But I stayed in my session to the end. Afterwards I ran down to answer my phone while my new client cleaned up. A friend told me to turn on the TV. I asked what channel. He said "any channel." Hours later, my new client and the person who was to become one of my dearest friends, were sitting on my couch, still staring at the TV. Trying to make sense of it all. In the years to follow, we shared so much: thoughts on politics, books, gardening, family, cooking, art. We stopped meeting professionally a couple years back, but really, he became one of the most important people in my life. This isn't the first time this has happened to me. When it happens, it's always heartbreaking because I'm shut out at the end. I cannot visit him if he's in the hospital. I can't attend the funeral. I have an obligation to protect his privacy, above all. I'll hold up my end of the bargain. But it's painful.

Are you the one that risks the penalties of the law? Everyone always has something to say when their butts ARE NOT at risk. Come sit in mods chair, then tell us you feel the same way. I'm disappointed with the lawmakers. I think mod deserves a big hug for everything he has done to work within the law.

The site is already outside of Canada But it is owned and operated in Canada Simple, do you think Mod and other CERB/EC employees should leave Canada and operate CERB outside of Canada so you aren't disappointed assuming they can get a work visa The simplest thing they could do is shut it all down. I'm sorry you were personally offended by his post, but I for one agree fullheartedly with his comments. Majority of hobbyists can't be bothered to follow the simple guidelines he mentioned. Stupidity? Maybe, maybe not. I would like to continue treating people who act like children, like children! If you go through threads on here, you will see MANY threads started by ladies to vent about all the "dumbfuckery" and "tomfoolery" we have to deal with on a daily basis. 80% of the questions I have had to answer via text/email/PM could have been avoided if the person had bothered to look at my website. His comments were not aimed at you directly, and seeing as they don't seem to apply to you, congrats! You're one of the few men who isn't wasting ladies' time... As for the rest of the gents, maybe his post did apply to them. Keep that in mind. Also keep in mind how many people are completely uninformed about the new laws and have no comprehension at all about why cerb is changing. I myself have been guilty on more than one occasion of "dumbing things down" because I have personally witnessed how difficult it seems to be for some people to educate themselves. Unrelated .. In regards to the list being published... Ladies who post on BP would know this, but the "General public" might not.... BP has had word censorship from the get-go. They do not have a list of censored terms (that I am aware of). I am not allowed to post my name, email or website with them because they all contain 3 X's in a row. Have I flipped out and accused BP of denying me freedom of speech? No. Because they didn't. I simply chose not to give them any of my money. The best part was, I did not find out about the censoring until I had finished writing the ad (which never got posted), when it was time to publish, I got a pop-up informing me that "XXX" is a forbidden term. Now, if this method of operation has been working for BP for so long, why can't it here? Are we, as a whole, less enlightened than BP users? If you can't preview your own post before writing, then you deserve to look stupid with a bunch of "......" cause I personally preview every post long before this censorship came about. Any good writer ALWAYS proof reads their work. /endrant PS- all the "..." In this post were intentional.

Change is never easy... no matter how the MOD does this someone will think there is a better way or a way they would like better. Now don't get me wrong... i don't see anything wrong with the discussion as it might identify suggestions that are adopted and benefit everyone. What I would suggest is that we pause for a moment and ask ourselves is the comment i am going to make a positive input or a rant...is it a suggestion that is about process or is it a personal attack on others. As i read many of the posts on various threads I am struck with the level of stress and confusion and frustration that is being expressed and I can't help but think that Mr. Harper and his band of excessively right wing follower must be loving the level of rancor that they have caused everyone who participates in this industry. For me... I am pretty certain that we will find our way through the growing pains. I am going to continue to book "time" with the wonderful ladies of CERB and after my next meeting with a wonderful lady I will make a point of sitting down to draft a well worded recommendation that will meet both the legal requirements and the CERB wording requirements...will it be harder than in the past...yes of course because change is hard... hard but not impossible. It'll take a bit of time for CERB to iron out the kinks because of Harper's/MacKay's brave new world. Easiest way is to make a list and then capture that list as an image, then post the image in a thread. The board filter catches text, but it can't tell one pixel in an image from another. (And for this reason, if you post ads that include images containing text, you'll want to check those closely because the filter can't read the words.) Not surprisingly, I disagree. :) First, posting the list make it easier for me to write posts because I know ahead of time what not to say. Second, by seeing the full list of words I'll be able to see the reasoning behind mod's selection and obey its spirit, not just its letter; I can avoid accidentally using even synonyms that the list might have missed. (And there's the text-in-images thing I mentioned above, but that's a minor point.) Right now I have a vague sense of the list's intention, but mod knows much more about its specific intention and boundaries than I do. (I can't write a certain bill's name? Really? Okay. Any other surprises?) Seeing the list would leave me much better informed and make posting here a better experience. (If you were in a new country and they mystifyingly refused to tell you the laws, but assured you that the instant before you did something illegal someone would always be there to tap you on the shoulder so you could change your mind... would that seem efficient? And a native strolling up and exhorting you that "c'mon, it's simple, just use common sense" really wouldn't improve the situation much.)

Every lady has the right to run their own business as they see fit. Including whether or not they wish to speak explicitly to clients. How will this get them kicked off Cerb unless they did not comply with Cerb rules? I think there's a lot of irrational fear going on. Cerb is not the only site a lady can advertise on. Yes, you're right that this is a time of uncertainty and panic but those who will be able to adapt will adapt. I don't know about this witch hunt going on but people seem to be extremely sensitive and perhaps it's a fear of the unknown. And as for so called nastiness, supposed shaming and labeling, there is also A LOT of people splitting hairs at this point with other ladies taking words out of context and implying things that aren't necessarily true. Follow the rules here, advertise other places as you wish which will be permitted. I think everyone needs to take a breather at this point. The world isn't going to end over this ridiculous law. Let's not ruin a good sense of community here because the Conservative Government is clueless.

Anna, maybe I am blind or not understanding the new Cerb rules but I fail to see how a lady could possibly get kicked off Cerb for having a private exchange (detailed email or text) with a potential client, outside of Cerb. What she does off the board doesn't concern Cerb as long as she follows the new Cerb guidelines. I can see that a fair share of people are overwhelmed with all this but taking a step back and looking at it with an objective eye might be more beneficial than letting fear take over and blurr our rational thinking. Although somewhat frustrating at the moment, I am confident we will all adjust in due time and we'll be just fine :)

What happens off CERB, is no concern to the MOD, e.g. explicit conversations, etc. - unless you are linking back to web-sites or ads or blogs that contain explicit advertising, you don't have to worry if you follow the rules for advertising here. I do not know of any witch hunt, and sorry if this sounds mean, but it's threads like this that further fuel the fear mongering currently going on. Since it doesn't affect me personally, I won't buy into it. However I am concerned about newer or inexperienced companions who may not know who to believe or listen to.

Looking at a closet and thinking, "Hmmmm, will I EVER wear this again?" Deciding, "No." Repeat until closet audit is complete. Realizing that you have filled 12 garbage bags with clothes and shoes and other stuff that you need to donate... then also realizing that half of the stuff you just gave away, you only wore ONCE. That's your opinion and your construct on what a "slut" is. For others, it can mean something entirely different, and they identify as a slut while providing paid companionship. Depending on the day and the context, I do identify as a slut from time to time. I also participate in the annual Slut Walk, which is way to call out slut-shaming and victim-blaming language and behaviours.

Yup. I get where you are coming from... and I do agree. That being said, we don't have the advantage of knowing any and all legal advice that the owners and moderators of the board have received. I know that if my lawyer told me to stop saying or writing the word "poo" or I would face lawsuits and jail time, "poo" would be a word eliminated from my vocabulary ASAP. It's an adjustment and it is conformity to something that we didn't want to face. Whether it's temporary or not, that is yet to be determined. For the time being, it's our reality. Whether a "list" can or will be revealed is entirely up to the site owners and moderators and their legal counsel. The fact that we still have a venue within which to debate this matter is something for which we should be extremely grateful.

I feel pretty bad for the emails that the ladies are going to have to go through now. Where before they could list activities and whatnot on their sites or in their ads, now those conversations can only happen in private and so there can't be any more "Please review my website, ad, etc before asking me the same questions everyone asks". Ladies, I'd suggest putting together your answer templates together now, lol ;).

So instead of standing up for the rights of our community, CERB has bent over, spread it's cheeks, and eagerly accepted everything the government rams into us. It would have been a much simpler thing to move to an off-shore server to avoid all this, but your push for "conformity" reminds me of the oppressed throughout history. I 'love' the new way that when we go to post our ads, when we 'preview', the system will tell us which words cannot be used. Having CERB comply with the new laws is a blessing, and now they have made it much easier for us to comply within CERB. Thank you for that. I, for one, do not want to go outside of what the law allows, and although it may make it a little more difficult to read our personal sites, CERB has paved the way for gentlemen to see our ads in a most lawful way. When reading our sites, just remember to really read what you are looking at. If anyone sees something on my site that they feel is not within the law, please tell me! These laws are confusing, and it will take a bit of adjusting to get things right, so please inform me if anything needs to be changed. Thank you CERB for all the work that you do, and for helping us to get things right :)

Hey Mighty, many thanks for explaining exactly why I wanted to see a list. I'd much rather be informed so I can take a more direct and intuitive approach to writing within the rules. This to me is preferable to a Pavlovian conditioning approach, which I consider terribly inefficient and would probably find annoying.

May I suggest Kanata. There is seldom anyone out here and I know in talking to a few ladies that where in Kanata they said they liked it a lot.

I look forward to that censor list being posted as I find the word muncher baffling. I just did a test (using preview as suggested) and discovered some pretty innocuous words being deleted. Particularly puzzling was discovering that the name of that notorious Bill is banned. How is this board to engage in a healthy discussion about the state of the industry if The Bill can't be explicitly mentioned? I understand the Mod's job is tough right now and I respect the effort being put into it, but I'm also a bit surprised at the degree of caution being exercised here.

It sounds much simpler but there is much more to it then changing to off shore...so you know Cerb isn't the only board making changes.:icon_wink:

Who knew registering a 4-letter dot-com domain would, one day, come in useful?? I'm just glad to learn it did.

Most sps would accomodate this, but those who haven't had the requests may not actually have any pantyhose on hand. First contact your fav sp or someone you want to repeat with, or someone new, ask them, make the appt, and bring at least 2-3 different pairs (you may have to guess on sizing, you see) in 2 shades. I have met a few guys with similar interests, it is always helpful when an sp is very short notice sp that the guy takes the time to bring a package with him, just in case. If it is not needed, then it goes in her collection for the future or the next appt. dollar stores sell these for a buck or two, it isn't expensive.

I also love pantyhose, tights etc...especially with heels.

Right now, it's not as easy as moving something offshore because those who reap the benefit cannot still be in the originating country. Therefore CERB WILL be complying with the laws and there will be NO FS advertisers permitted here. Likewise, if a lady is advertising on CERB and their website or other advertising has ANY connection with a sexual service, CERB will be removing their access. What this means is you, as a hobbyists, will have to read between the lines of advertising and websites. You will be receiving time and companionship only. No one is permitted to speak about sexual services for money in any place. It has not been defined whether the internet/email/text is defined as a place but to protect yourself, assume so. It will be vitally important to avoid any ads on BP from new providers that cannot be confirmed through others as LE will probably employ stings to catch clients. After Royal Assent you have 30 days until C36 becomes law; use it wisely. If there are those you would like to see or discuss anything with, now is the time. If there are providers you're interested in but have not yet seen, try to establish their legitimacy now. Reputable ladies are here to protect their clients as well as their business. One thing to remember is that although this will be law, the time, effort and money required by LE to police these laws is no more than it is now. You have to look at priority, scale and risk involved. There is so much vagueness to this law that many judicial and LE agencies would have a difficult time delving into all the aspects. I read this thread very late last night and I wanted to reply with a clear mind...I guess you have a right to be disgusted...everybody reacts differently to that situation... There is something though that bothers me and really ticked me off here is that you took the donation and left 40$! Thats what bothers me the most...I'm sure there will be lots of different opinions on this issue but if you decide to leave because you are disgusted with the situation, the donation should stay there...yes maybe she should have been upfront about it but, for me, its not a reason to take the donation and barely leave Pocket change... Personally i do work with sponges ( for what I have left of period lol) and there is no way you could ever tell coz they are really deep in there. But yes I started my period many times during sessions...that i could not predict... Just my opinion... BJ
