The problem that I have been having is the rudeness from callers because I won't discuss rates or services. I guide them to my ads and website. Which they really should have been reading before they contacted me. :tresmauvaisehumeur: It isn't to be rude or anything, but to have someone call and the first thing they ask is "what are your rates?" when I have them on all of my ads is ridiculous. Discussing services is something else I don't do for legal reasons and why I have my reviews posted on my website. I have done this long before the new bill. I did it to save myself from being put in a legal position and to give the person an idea of what they're in for. I also hate repeating myself. I don't know how "great' everything is going to be because a lot of people a getting scared away from the hobby all together. I do see your point as the supply pool will go down and the demand will increase. I have thought about that also. However, I don't study economics. Just anatomy and physiology.... ;) SD

Good morning my Friends, Enemies, Countrymen I entered this land of Cerb in 2010, longer than some, but not as long as others. Through this time I have made some great Friends, wonderful relationships and fun / sassy encounters that I have fully enjoyed. If you are reading this, I am assuming you have previously read the ones on getting cancer (the fu....oops sorry mod, the bastard) and the ups and down, trials and tribulations (sounds like my sex life!!) over the past couple of years. Well the end is nigh. The objective is to be around for Super Bowl, to know what that is and not think it is a luxury, Japanese toilet. Although the surgery to the shoulder removed a good chunk of cancer cells from the bone and muscle, it ended up travelling to the cortex and continues to grab onto chunks of the brain (what little brain there is!). The chemo treatments, especially the experimental ones helped to delay, sometimes shrink the bastard but it still crept along. Memory has become a huge issue with holes as big as Ottawa's sink holes in the expressway, the gps has become my day to day companion when driving, starting to need one when walking! Thinking of wearing a sign around my neck along with my mittens with strings, that points to my house, or a bar that serves great single malt scotch. You know you are on the way out when the docs are arranging your next treatment when they say, "we will fit you in when convenient", not sure who it is convenient for...... Squirrel!!! sorry I wandered off for a bit Anyway, back to the Ladies of Cerb. Whether a MA or .., as previously stated, I have been lucky enough to enjoy a friendship and a kinship with and I am ever grateful. I love the banter, silliness, the heart to heart discussions some of us have had. The hugs, kisses and spanks (obviously mod, the spanks were for my birthday!) were always a treat. I have started to say good bye to a few of you that have been very special to me. Some in person, some by email or pm. I am sure I will miss some with this .... full of swiss cheese. But to all of you, thank you for being who you are! Stay true and safe. To my male colleagues, thank you for all the support. It is greatly appreciated. Over the next couple of weeks, I will get out when / while I can to grab a quick coffee with some of you to give you a hug! Have already paid for the wake, admission will be a shot of single malt and the shot glass each one drinks from to be put in the casket with me. What the hell, might as well make the "6" work extra hard with the extra weight! Once you find out, please grab a bottle of single malt scotch, raise a glass to when we meet again on the other side. It's as simple as this. You are now technically paying for time and companionship ONLY. It's best to call a lady by phone so no trail of email or texts. Do not ask explicit questions and especially where money is concerned. This will now be illegal on your end. The ladies are legally allowed to tell you what they offer but you CANNOT ask. Some ladies may not discuss anything explicit out of discretion for their customers because they want to protect the gentlemen they may be seeing. Stay away from anyone you cannot find legit intel on. Law enforcement will likely use BP site as a ruse to get guys to visit and the lady in the picture will be in her twenties, look perfect and anytime to visit will be perfect with them at a hotel or motel. In other words, if it sounds too easy and convenient, run the other way! And stay away from the street. This is who they go after first. Additional Comments: The business has changed and people want everything NOW! I remember when clients used to actually research ladies which is why it was called "the hobby". I don't know what to call it now in some cases. This also has a lot to do with technology. Everything is instant gratification for some. I was told to "screw that" the other day when I pointed someone in the direction of my website after already answering their most important question which was rates.. They can take the time to peruse adult classified ads but suddenly have a problem when being asked to actually taking a few minutes to read my website. These are not the customers I seek in my choice of target market. It will take some time but when people such as the above example truly realize the consequences of their potential actions, they will change how they conduct themselves when contacting a lady. It won't happen overnight. Some will give this up altogether but when I first started in this line of work, people were very hesitant in asking and often apologized for not wanting to come across as crude or rude. I often used code phrases that were not considered explicit with the phrases sounding like I was about to go on an actual date. I have also changed my website accordingly. A few gentlemen I have met in the last few weeks and months do not really quite know what's going on and I have given them a quick run down. They were very surprised and I let them know not to ask explicit things when contacting a lady. As members here, most of us who read this site on a regular or daily basis know exactly what's going on. Anywhere else, most are not up to date with exactly what is about to happen. Some haven't even heard about it. One customer at a time.

Tom... Goodbyes are sad.... but... being able to say goodbye is the only downfall of having said hello in the first place. Your "hello" to many of us happened here, or in socials, or in a far more intimate setting with those you have come to appreciate. Place was busy today during lunch time. Lots of patrons and girls. Food was very good. Roast beef and gravy, pasta, french fries, olives, salad, rice, mashed potatoes. Filling, tasty, nutritious and satisfying meal. On Wednesdays food is free with a beverage which typically costs 6 to 7$. Playmates is a friendly place. Helpful and friendly staff. Lots of senior patrons during lunch hours. Girls are friendly too. Caught a few names: Bianca, Delicious, Anastasia, Candy, Kate and about another 15 girls whom I didn't get time to chat with. Delicious was friendly in the CR just like last time. Had a good, relaxing time with her. Nice girl.

Booking an appointment then asking for the rate. Then attempt to negotiate with me. No thanks. I always try and make sure I know where people have seen my ad and if they've visited my website first.

My turn off's are pretty similar to a lot already posted here, but the babe, hun, sweetie, sexy stuff, really gets under my skin, the "what's up" or sup? Seriously? And the self entitlement of they should be able to see me, because they're paying for it ... umm yeah I don't think so. On Monday in Vancouver, some guy asked me my weight and for some reason couldn't clue in that I told him it was a rude question to ask. My ads/web site specifically state that I'm curvy and voluptuous, not a bbw. He kept going on and on that I had some childhood mental problems because I wouldn't tell him my weight lol .. And I should listen to him because he's a client .. yeah I don't think so lol And then got more enraged because I didn't want to see him .. what could I possibly find attractive about someone giving me attitude and feeling a sense of entitlement in being able to see me? "I can help you run your business better" .. umm no you can't, I've been in this industry for almost 30 years, I think I've got it figured out by now lol.

Short version: you can't advertize the exchange of any kind of sex for money. Advertizing will therefore have to focus on what a fantastic person you are, rather than the specific things you'll do with people. There are other rules too, but those have been around for a long time, are in the FAQ, and haven't changed.

Technically, no you have not committed a crime because you were not paying for sex, you were paying to compensate a lady for her companionship. Whatever occurs within the time you have agreed to spend together is up to two adults. The financial transaction is for her time. Clients are going to have to read between the lines, and learn not to have a list of expectations of activities since we cannot discuss or advertise them. Professional companions are compensated for their time and are therefor not violating any laws. Leave it at that. As a client, it is your duty and in your best interests to be less crude and demanding of us ladies and learn to just go with the flow and be aware of the subtleties and finer points of companionship. If you can't or won't do that, then perhaps this is a good time to find a new hobby? Or at least stick with reputable ladies through sites like LYLA/Cerb.

Really sorry to hear this, you've put up an amazing fight but still keep up that fight! ... Never know what could happen. I've had family members with cancer, so know all to well about it. But still keep posting on here and keep you're glass and spirits up! Cheers.

I'm with Phaedrus - there's no category for what you're going through Tom. Your sense of humour and humanity have given us insight into your unique journey. I've been wrestling a little bit about how to appropriately respond to your thread. Here I stand in naked awkwardness trying to make you feel better. In reality, it's you who is probably better equipped to make your friends here more at ease. You've already done this with your diary. A very good idea to keep us up to date. Your thread deals with subject matter which makes us all have to look at an uncomfortable reality. If one is a believer in fate or destiny, then we all have a date marked on a calendar somewhere. The short version is when you contact a lady, do not ask them explicit questions implying something else. That right there is what will get people in trouble. I'm finding this season is noticeably better than any other season since the first one. Subplots don't drag on, they're resolved within a few episodes and we move on. And the characters have all adapted to their circumstances and now do things smartly and capably. The current bounce between three groups is keeping things fresh and suspenseful; I approve. Also, let's take a moment to record what we know about dealing with zombies, in order to aid anyone in the future confronting a zombie apocalypse: remember, to kill a zombie you must attack its ..... Nowhere else; only the .... matters! It doesn't much matter what you use: bullet to the .... crowbar to the .... pointy stick to the .... fire engine's water stream to the .... As long as you hit the ..... The ..... That's the most important part to remember: the ..... There! Now I feel a little better knowing that future generations are a bit safer armed with this knowledge! Hey... waitaminnit! Damn you Stephen Harper! Tom, I had the honor of meeting you once in 2010 and had a great time. Although we dont know each other well as some others here, you have a been in my thoughts a lot as you continued to post your updates. I just wanted to say that you have been very strong at a time where others may have just given up altogether. I know you're hanging in there. It is my regret that I don't know you as well as others but you have been a great contributor to Cerb and please watch over all of us.
