What's worse is these are usually the guys trolling BP and getting crappy service or worse yet, ripped off because they don't have a clue how to do this responsibly and smart.

They are called CONSERVATIVE for a reason! THEY OBJECT TO ANYTHING THEY FEEL IS MORALY QUESTIONABLE! They depend heavily on the church and christian morals. THE ONLY REASON they got this law passed is because they have majority goverment. NONE OF THE OTHER PARTIES WOULD HAVE PROPOSED SUCH A MORAL BASED LAW and no otehr seats voted for it! LIBERAL means they are more LIBERAL (forward thinking) NDP is all about business GREEN is all about ... Green things! Lol If you vote conservative you can expect more crap like this. I must agree we all need to boycot this party! Anyone who says otherwise should review what the conservatives preached when passing this bs bill. They are taking more and more of our freedoms from us and us Canadians are too passive to do anything about it! We must get rid of this majority government and 200+ thousand visitors to cerb a month is a good example of how powerful the internet is and we should NOT SIT IDELY BY AND LET THEM TAKE OUR FREEDOMS LIKE THIS ANYMORE. The VERY FIRST adult discussion website in Canada (at least that I know of) that had info on escorts was created by no other then "Joyful Spirit" (A member here who use to go by the name "LYLA" and she built the website and was a pioneer for online escorts in Canada). The site was LYLA.COM and was affectionately known as "Lyla's List". It also displayed ads for Escorts-Canada.com and when LYLA wanted to retire the site she passed the domain name on to the owners of escorts-canada.com. They (EC) continued lyla's list for a few years but when the SPONLY area on LYLA.COM at the time known as demimonde was taken over by some of the ladies and failed miserably and the discussion board part was hacked bad due to a old bbs system that was full of security holes the discussion element of the site and the sponly area of the site were put onto the back burner. The lyla.com site stayed active but only to display ads for escorts-canada (without a discussion element) instead we created a separate site cerb.ca to start from scratch. So... We are bringing back LYLA.COM as we need a NON CANADIAN DOMAIN NAME for this site. WHY?? Basically we do not trust the Canadian powers that be, with these new laws it's only a matter of time when our compliance is not good enough so this way we have a .COM domain name (canada does not have any governing body over .com only .ca) so we felt this needed to happen sooner then later. BUT... love you like a sister is a most excellent modern day urban take on the name! We should adapt that as this community has always been about watching each others backs, helping the ladies stay safe and all around positive side of the adult industry. Since we are sisters and brothers and we now have all those annoying DOT.DOT.DOT censors all around us maybe we should use "Love You Like A ..." as the name! ;)

It's really hard to say how this is going to be enforced in Winnipeg. The "Counter-Exploitation" unit (formerly Vice), is really small (nine members, two of whom are dedicated to sex trade stuff) http://winnipeg.ca/police/ceu/, so there may be little to no enforcement when it comes to indoor sex workers. Or there might be an uptick in enforcement at the beginning. We just don't know. The Winnipeg Working Group sent letters to all of the mayoral candidates during the election, to ask how they intend to enforce C-36, but Bowman didn't bother responding, so I'm unclear about his stance on anything related to sex work. With regards to being confronted by the police, I think it all depends on the attitude and assumptions of the officers on scene. Even if there's no real evidence to suggest that you intend to purchase sexual services, they may make assumptions based merely on your presence and your gender. They may arrest you even if they have no intention of charging you. They may also threaten or try to intimate you with threats of being arrested or charged for other things if you don't co-operate. If you do have an encounter with the police, know your rights and don't say anything more than you're legally required to. http://winnipegcopwatch.org/ has some good local resources. With regard to communication, I believe phone calls have the best legal protections around privacy, though I could be mistaken. DO NOT send money via Paypal. Paypal is aggressively anti-sex work, and will seize and hold funds if they suspect that they are for sexual products or services, OR if they suspect that one of the people involved provides sexual services, even if they aren't using Paypal for those transactions (eg someone who performs in porn uses Paypal to sell vintage clothes on eBay, account frozen.) The Canadian Alliance for Sex Work Law Reform just updated their Q&A on C-36. While reading this thread it occurred to me that for some in the game that there are some positives that come with C-36. There will be a shift in control, no need to provide menus and the ability to be able to commit to any thing more than time must be considered a good thing. Establishing stricter booking protocols and the ability to be more selective. A weeding out of non-compliant competition and of course undesirable clients. Not saying that the shift in control is a bad thing, only that this thread seems to indicate it's wanted and long overdue. Food for thought. Peace MG

CLASSIFIED ADS - EDIT THEM OR LOOSE THEM! UPDATE BEFORE NOVEMBER 25th !! I noticed a LOT of classified ads still advertising things that are going to now be illegal. You either have to remove anything from the ads that is now illegal for us to advertise for you or we will need to delete your ad completely. If you previously offered prostitution related services you must remove such things (or hints of such things) from this site. I will NOT edit the ads (that would take too long) so I am going to go over them and start deleting any that DO NOT comply with the new laws. I will check to see if you have read this post and if you have and did not bother to update your classified ad you will get a infraction and possibly a suspension from the site. Leaving the classified up makes more work for me. I am very busy making sure the site conforms to all the new laws so it can continue on for you all. Please do your part. BY NOVEMBER 25th If you see a classified ad that is breaking the law PLEASE REPORT IT! I REMOVED THE "SERVICES" that you can NO LONGER ADVERTISE off the check list as well. You will see them as NA1 NA2 NA3 etc... those need to be UNCHECKED at this time (Till I can add some new ones to fill those spots) the system will not let me just delete them.

I primarily advertise on BP because that is where you advertise in Winnipeg. I get a bit of business from ads here, the vast majority of it from BP and almost nothing from any of the other places I advertise. So it depends a lot on the city. I only have a single ad on BP which I move to the top every now and then. I don't post multiple ads, because I don't need to - my category is small and ads get pushed down very slowly. Look at a lot of factors, use your best judgment, but don't assume that everyone on BP is a fake or scammer.

The fifth in my mind is: To know that you can only change what is IN your own control. Do not worry over things that are outside your own releam of control. To do so is such a waste of energy, causing you to catastrophize something that may not be. BP is one of those sites that has a wide range of ladies advertising. As a general rule, if the photos look like model quality pictures and yet the lady has fairly low rates and no website... probably not her real pictures. Tineye is a great way to confirm if someone has just swiped a model's images and cropped them to pass of as their own.

Can't really put it into words....you might call it chemistry.But I do know from experience, even if the first visit was great.... the second or subsequent vivits will probably be better. The reason is trust, it is amazing what a difference that makes. It is amazing but, things get turned up a notch as the trust factor increases. I disagree. Lots of us use BP as another way to advertise. However, if BP is the ONLY site, then I would be concerned. That's why using cerb AND Google helps to weed out the fly by nights. Do your research when visiting anyone.

A lot people dont really understand calling images from remote lications. I often fis these problems. Stuff like httpwww.site.com ot http://http://www.site.com or http://www.site.com or even c:/users/name/pictures/ and gmail.com/hshhetgehjiios/images/embed/pic.jpg etc etc etc..... Nothing to do with cerb just bad urls The other issue is to egt the thumbnail in the preview it must be the first bbcode on the page, so if someone does bold then inserts the image the system will usually not make a thumbnail for the image.

The problem that I have been having is the rudeness from callers because I won't discuss rates or services. I guide them to my ads and website. Which they really should have been reading before they contacted me. :tresmauvaisehumeur: It isn't to be rude or anything, but to have someone call and the first thing they ask is "what are your rates?" when I have them on all of my ads is ridiculous. Discussing services is something else I don't do for legal reasons and why I have my reviews posted on my website. I have done this long before the new bill. I find it very easy to repeat with the Ladies I connect with. I look for signs that in new clients. It means they're not respecting your boundaries and that they are more important than whatever it is you're doing. I used to get this a lot by text and they were serial texting m to no end even after I gave them the cue to "Have a nice day". Most people pick up those subtleties. For others, they don't have boundaries. This is one of the key things I look for in new clients.
