No confusion whatsoever. The new law was written as it was to try and force people out of this industry. It says you can sell your own services and you can advertise your own services but anyone who allows you to advertise in their space (website, newspaper, online forum) etc. is a criminal as that is illegal. Right now I am Packing my bags for an early flight in the morning... been a really long day... was into work early ... late afternoon took a break to meet with an amazing lady and spent a few hours enjoying her company and then back to office... now I am home still on cloud nine from my earlier fun and while I should sleep I kinda think I will be up for a while....... Usually when I arrive if I need to shower or use the mouthwash or wash my hands I will normally leave the door open no reason to close it if just washing hands or using mouthwash and if showering the leaving the door open is a subtle invitation for the lady to join me in the shower if she wishes. For my clients I buy unscented Jergins bars of soap that come in a 12 pack at Wal-mart. They are about $3.00 a pack and about a little smaller than the old style bars of Ivory soap. Sure, it gets used once and thrown away but if it's for their discretion, I figure that's what they're paying me for. For the deordorant, I buy the Arrid Extra dry aerosol at Walmart as well for about $2.50. It doesn't really have a scent to it. Actually it's the same one I use. lol.

Most ladies in or visiting Halifax tend to go downtown. I presume because that's where the highest concentration of up-scale hotels are located. Parking really isn't that bad down town. If you give yourself a few more minutes to find parking and concede that you aren't going to score that golden spot right in front of your destination it's okay 19 days out of 20. I am a bit surprised that ladies don't take advantage of the nice hotels elsewhere though. Clayton Park or Dartmouth Crossing for example. I don't think you can please everyone with location, but you won't drive anyone away either; we're visiting for the company, not the parking. :)

I think the down town core is usually just fine. Ample amounts of parking. Lots of choices for up scale hotels. I personally prefer to visit at an apartment/condo setting to limit the chances of run ins and also gives the Lady a chance to make it her own. Cheers!

In once had a job working nights as a security guard. The lady working with me preferred ladies but had an insatiable need to be pleased. She and I spent many a night enjoying each other. There's only two incidents I recall in the last few years around here. First: a spa on the Quebec side was raided and shut down, which IIRC was because it was right next to a daycare or something (I don't know which was there first). I don't know whether anyone was actually prosecuted or not, but I don't recall hearing about it. Second: ISTR that when Operation Northern Spotlight happened (the first one), one or two spas got visits from LE, as did some independent ladies. But those weren't aimed at catching clients; the official reason was to check up on the well-being of the ladies working and to ensure they were all old enough and not trafficked. They never explained how going after well-established indies and spas was going to help with this, though. Of course, people whose day-jobs are in law enforcement visit spas in an unofficial capacity all the time, but that's an entirely different matter :) I'm sure any other spa would too, if you asked :) The main problem would be coordinating the MAs' schedules, but that's going to be the same anywhere.

Chiming in on this one!!! I have clean towels (body, hand and face), body wash and mens shampoo. I also have a big mouthwash bottle with a pump on it and Dixie cups, hair gel and spray deodorant. I have never had a complaint yet. I actually looked into individual bottles of mouthwash, and individual bars of soap -- but they are far too costly!! Large bottles of body wash and men's shampoo, and the big bottle of mouthwash with a pump makes both economical sense, and covers the hygiene bases effectively. Just what works for me!

I have seen both MAs who are Indys and those who work at spas. To me, it's more about the connection with the MA, as opposed to where she works. My concern with spas is not running into people I know, but being there if there is a "visit" from bylaw officers or law enforcement. I've read about this happening in Toronto spas on other boards, but wasn't sure if this also happens in Ottawa. I'm relatively new to the hobby (within the past year) and always make sure to visit reputable spas. Anyone else have concerns with this, or am I just being paranoid? Thanks.

MOST spas will do their utmost to ensure that customers DO NOT cross paths... So if that is what is holding a person back from visiting some of the FANTASTIC women working at a Spa... then you really have nothing to worry about.

I've been to a spa only once. I prefer indies for the following reason. Privacy - Walking into the spa from an open street was a bit unnerving. Nothing wrong with it, and while it faced a road, it was quite empty and I'm certain no one noticed me going in or leaving. I wouldn't say it's a deal killer, but it is a factor. Also, I did pass by another client on my way out. It didn't bother me too much, but I would have preferred not to have that happen. Experience - I just prefer the more personal touch of seeing an indy. With an indy, I can get a sense of who she is right from her website. A bonus if she is active here. When I send out a message, I will be getting in touch with her. By the time I meet her, there is an initial understanding of each other. With a spa, I literally did not know anything about the person coming in (my experience was perhaps a bit more extreme, but in normal circumstances, I'd just know some brief physical details which doesn't mean much). There are some other instances where I would like to get in touch with the person directly, just to inform her about some interests, and get her feedback. It's a bit awkward to do so when contacting the spa. Not to say there are no upsides to a spa. With the spa, I was able to walk right in with a short notice. That isn't as easy with an indy. The person I normally see has a very different schedule then I. It once took two months to set something up with her because of it. Additionally, a spa can sometimes provide more facilities (not always) which is nice. In short, while I would not completely rule out a spa, I'm much more inclined to see an indy.

I agree with "Someguy" because there is always Someguy showing up earlier than his scheduled time, then you might walk by Someguy ( doesn't bother me ;) ) if you're at a Spa, but Spa's are pretty dam good with schedules so nobody runs into Someguy. I enjoy either a Spa or Indy right NOW but with laws changing I think things may change for myself or Some guys :) However a Indy lady has that great way of being her own scheduler and can take an hour off between or more with me and then the 2nd Someguy I will never have to see. :) Just this guys opinion :) Lol all in good fun from me this guy
