As others have mentioned cash is the usual form of payment, try to ensure it is in the currency of the country you are in. If you plan on paying with a different currency it is always best to mention that in advance as some ladies may have a different consideration for foreign currency that may take in a variety of factors including exchange rates, fees for exchange or simply the inconvenience of having to exchange it. Some ladies accept credit card but it is not that common and if you do decide to see a lady that accepts card you may wish to ask in advance what (if any) additional fees there may be and what will appear on your statement. As for prepayment via an electronic transfer, as you are in the US this is not very common, it is a lot harder to transfer money between countries. But that has occurred in the context of a professional relationship. Oddly enough, after my SO bought a Tassimo, I stopped drinking coffee. No arguments with the quality of the drink. I just stopped. On occasion, I dabble with Green Tea. Quite nice... The thing that really concerns me is the recycle-ability of the pods. In Ottawa, they don't accept the pods for recycle. I know - I called - they don't accept. Read the comments at the bottom of the link. I did some quick figuring for the stack of pods in the landfill after a year. Let's say 1% of the population use a Tassimo or Kurig or whatever. For Ottawa: a city population of 900,000 that translates into 9,000 pods/single drink. Average 2 people per household means 18,000 pods/single drink. Per Day. This figure doesn't take into account usage in an office environment. How many of you folks have a Tassimo/Kurig/Other machine at work? Assuming one pod/person in a 2 person household for Ottawa; in one year, that translates to 6,570,000 pods...just for Ottawa alone. What about the larger populated cities - TO, Van, Mtl. What about the American side...NYC, Chicago, LA, Detroit, etc.You see where my ecological rant is heading... Anyway, I like the convenience of a single cup brew.

I give direct each year. This year I was secret Santa to 3 young kids I will never meet. Their mom that I hardly know left her abusive husband and had nothing. I paid rent, car insurance, food and gave enough so she can have Christmas with her kids. Another very dear friend of mine fell on some real hard times and almost lost his rental apartment. I went into the bank with him and paid off 3 of 4 of his credit cards and paid his car insurance. He managed to keep his home. I am truly blessed to be able to do this. There have been many years in my life where I could have used a hand and never got one. So now that I have it I do good as much as I can. And I do good not just at Christmas. As a kid, I lived in the centre of a large city and school was out in the 'burbs (fresh air and all that). The bus ride was an hour and then there was 15 minutes by subway. In the evening, the direct walk to the subway was through an area where ladies met their customers. The ladies liked to have fun at our expense, but that was just good sport. Well this has been discussed many times here. You have to approach this from the perspective of our own risk tolerance. I personally think the whole issue has been over blown, and the risk is rather minimal. A strictly north American attitude, circumcision is common here but not the rest of the world. As in everything hygiene and cleanliness is the rule! I've never encountered any problem about being uncircumcised.

There is a big homeless shelter in Winnipeg that some of us on the other board go to at Christmas. We serve a Christmas dinner to the less fortunate, and donate money and supplies for the meal. It is much more personal and you feel like you are really helping someone when you actually deal with them face to face.

Many many ads are too good to be true on backpage, so searching a lady's photo through google or tineye, searching her phone number and name and seeing if there are any reviews on her is a good idea. Not all girls who can't be found are fake, some are new, some have a new name. But many offer extremely low rates, use fake pictures, don't offer what they said they would, cancel/don't show up, or have other issues. But many ladies advertise on many sites, I use bp sometimes when I offer incalls. As long as you double check and do a little searching you will be better off than going in blind and potentially having a bad experience if it is bait and switch or a scammer with a name change and fake pics.

I primarily advertise on BP because that is where you advertise in Winnipeg. I get a bit of business from ads here, the vast majority of it from BP and almost nothing from any of the other places I advertise. So it depends a lot on the city. I only have a single ad on BP which I move to the top every now and then. I don't post multiple ads, because I don't need to - my category is small and ads get pushed down very slowly. Look at a lot of factors, use your best judgment, but don't assume that everyone on BP is a fake or scammer.

I disagree. Lots of us use BP as another way to advertise. However, if BP is the ONLY site, then I would be concerned. That's why using cerb AND Google helps to weed out the fly by nights. Do your research when visiting anyone.
