Although in person we never met, I've seen and heard it all.... the humour, laughter, snide remarks, he never seemed to fail.... to see the funny side of life, even in the darkest hours of his life. A man who saw life for what it was, a joy to be taken by the short and curly's and taken for a ride. Tom was one of the first people to welcome me on this board. I have followed almost all of his postings, and his quick-witted banter in answers to some postings. Most of it made me laugh. But when I got to the postings where he describes his illness, it made me really sad. The fact that this man has a sense of humor, and a sex drive to the nth degree to the very end........makes me severely happy :-) I can just imagine him, looking around the room for camel toe, and for anyone that is willing to give him a show. Good man, Tom ;-) He graced us with his presence on this board. Gave advice where it was needed, and a telling off where it was definitely needed. His battle with this terrible infliction he faced head on, and didn't let it stop him from being who he is. An amazingly strong person. No one should stop living their life the way they want to lead it, just because of an infliction. Albeit this infliction has an end that is not favorable, Tom let us into that very personal side of his life. For that, I am grateful to him to have been privileged enough to be a part of it. Tom, you made my year on this board immensely satisfying. Your welcoming words were greeted with happiness. I smile and laugh at your wit, and can see that you are a good and decent person. Carry that on to the next life, I, for one, want to meet you on the other side ;-) I cannot say that I am looking forward to your last posting, as it means that you are gone. A barbie doll. I never understood why my sisters played with them. You couldn't bend their arms or their legs. It was impossible putting on or taking off their clothes. I completely agree with Cristy and Miss Jessica. As someone who is fairly new to the game, I don't have many reco's. And I do not find them particularly useful (other than to highlight that I am legit). I have two so far, and although they speak very highly of me, I cannot guarantee that everyone I see will have the exact the same sentiment. It puts a lot of pressure on the lady to live up to those standards, especially when what makes an encounter incredible for one person, does not do anything for someone else. I know why / where my reco's came from and I know they speak the truth - for their experience. However, if gentleman #1 had partaken in encounter #2, and vice versa, they may not have written those recommendations. This is very important to remember while reading recommendations, although their sentiments are basically the same, they are for completely different reasons, and you might not find those reasons to be worthy of such praise (though you'd be nuts not too!;-)) This exact thing was highlighted by Miss Jessica's post. I propose changing YEMV (and similar acronyms) to YEWV (Your Experience WILL Vary). Also, Someguy, just because a lady doesn't have a lot of reco's, doesn't mean she isn't absolutely amazing.

In Ontario 10 charges under new Criminal Code have been made for pimping and 4 charges have been made in ontario for advertising the sale of sexual services. none of the charges in ontario are "purchase of sexual services" but thats ontario.... Saskatoon has been going after guys and i am not sure how many charges and not sure about other provinces.

I feel for your friend, but it's not just this biz. With Yelp, Google, etc., the damn net lets anybody slam the fcuk out of you and there's almost siht all you can do about it. For any of us in business for ourselves, it can be a royal pain in the asre. Good sites will let you reply to customer complaints, and it's better to reply wisely than to not reply at all.

So recently I was reviewed on another board, and although the review was positive, it was mentioned that the reviewer had higher expectations based on "all the reviews" he had read. I think he said the service was good, but he had expected great. My body was fine, but he expected better... something like that. Reviews are very subjective and after reading what this man had to say, I've decided to carefully go through the linked reviews on my site and remove some that are very explicit, exaggerated, or worded to flatter the reviewer more than the reviewed. I don't like people being disappointed and I think that's what happened here. After reading my reviews I suppose he expected something more or different that what I could offer. Number of reviews isn't near as important as the quality, accuracy and reliability of the review IMHO.

Blood pressure meds can impact testosterone. As this seems to be impacting in different ways I would definitely talk to your doctor about what you're noticing. Perhaps you need a different type/kind of med or something else working in conjunction. Most Doctor's are very open to testing and such and if yours happens to not be, push them. They are there for YOUR quality of life and if they still fight you, try to locate a better doctor. Once meds come into play you have to listen to your body's signals and not just accept side effects. This is no different then women taking birth control. Our body chemistry's are unique and we have to find the right meds for it. Good luck!

Even good reviews can contain lies and embellishments. Some people use a review to boast or just to write their own fantasies. The reviewer is not always intent on describing what actually happened. Don't take anyone's word about what a provider offers but the provider's own. Don't assume that anything you read - good or bad - reflects anyone's actual experience. Reviews can be taken under consideration when seeing someone, but personally, I don't think they should be a deciding factor. They are too unreliable.

Isn't that expected? :) Wouldn't it be odd if your experience was the same as the last persons? We are all different and so are the encounters we have. Again to justify a great encounter with the number of reco's a lady has is silly. There are great ladies with no reco's, few reco's, a moderate amount and ones with lots. The numbers are not going to guarantee anything other than that sp has met with a certain number of men that have felt comfortable writing about their encounter. It is not an assurance that anyone will be guaranteed a great encounter. To give anyone the sense that the best sp's are the ones with the highest number of reco's isn't truthful, nor fair. Nor is it factual that just because an sp has a lot of reco's that a new client will have a great encounter. Those chances are 50/50 with anyone. A great encounter needs to have two stimulated, like minded individuals that have some sort of chemistry, working towards the same end result reco's or not and to end with a bad result may be the cause of neither person, or both or one or the other. That two has many causes, reco's or not.

Although I do still go to my MD for obvious reasons, I now rely on a naturopath for any curatives. Doctors base their results on general levels, ex-my iron was low, by my DR's standards it was in normal range, my naturopath found it to be significantly low, placed me on supplements and recommended I modify my diet. Reviews are just that one persons opinion nothing more and usually they relate to one meeting between the people invoked that due to any number of reasons might have gone extremely well or extremely bad. I would recommend that people who put value in reviews should always carefully consider the source whether the review is good or bad. That is Tom, he told me he was going to do that! My last time with Tom, was not long ago. I specifically made a trip to Ottawa just for one last time just as friends. That's true. So there always has to be a worthwhile aim in mind to justify the costs that come with censorship. Ahhh, the ?tipping? debate! I noticed there was a decided void in SP response so I will take a minute to share my thoughts? From an agency girl perspective, tipping is often a way to generate extra income because after they pay the agency and the driver, they usually end up on the short end of the stick. 10 years ago, I ran for an agency, we collected $260 for an hour, with $110 going to the house, $40-$100 to the driver depending on where the visit was located, which left me maximum of $110 with as little as $10 in my pocket. With a $15 book on fee and mandatory car cell phone fees of $25 per night, I needed 3 full fees per night to make working worthwhile, God forbid I get credit card calls, which somehow always worked out us getting nothing. We were not allowed to refuse a call so we had to find creative ways to ensure we were paid. Tipping for extra service was the only way to keep our heads above water. The nice thing was that we had a shift, we worked, and we went home and had a life. That said, it was unfair to the guest who would end up with less than what he expected because he was not prepared for the extra fees. Independents are in a slightly different boat. We usually have a higher upfront fee, but we also assume ALL the costs incurred, which is far more than many realize. If we charged what we feel we should to get our ROI, the protests would be heard long and loud. Many Indies have a smaller bottom line than an ambitious girl at a well run agency. So when it comes to tips, many things need to be considered. In the south, SP's are tipped much in the same manner as a restaurant. Anyone walking a restaurant wouldn?t consider walking out without leaving a tip if everything was satisfactory. I tip everyone in the service industry, from the girl who washes my hair, to the man at Suny?s who pumps my gas because a little bit from many adds up at the end of the day. Flowers and trinkets are lovely in thought, but a girl can?t deposit wilted stems into an RRSP, and my bank doesn?t seem to take dildos, massage oil, garter belts or silk stockings on deposit -go figure! As Joyful C has so wisely stated, most SP?s live a fragile existence financially. We provide an illusion of playful luxury for our guests benefit, but rest assured, 90% of the time it is smoke and mirrors. Behind the scenes we struggle to pay our bills, put diapers on our babies and try to take care of those we love, all the while working on a way to get to a normal existence if that does in fact even exist. An extra $20 from each client equals a full appointment by the end of the week, and at the end of the month that pays the cell phone, buys the groceries and lets us take the little ones away for the weekend after we have paid both rents (home and incall), all our advertising, babysitters, hydro, car repairs, personal maintenance and the same expenses everyone else has. Not to mention the monthly payments on augmentation, lifts, tucks and anything else to keep us up to the exceptionally high standards expected if we want to continue making money in this arena. There are few SP?s who can keep up the daily client service to ensure long term financial viability in this business because of the emotional and physical toll this business extracts which sometimes means extended time offs to get our heads, hearts and bodies back in order. We have no paid holidays, benefits or paid personal days. If there is a crisis that forces us to take time off, we lose money and clients which often means we work regardless of illness, pain or any other of lifes challenges. Each SP has her own reasons for working, but the universal element is that we all are trying to achieve some sort of financial stability. I never expect tips, and I can count on one hand how many I have received since my arrival in Canada because of the nature of the business here. Hate to tell you guys, but Canadian men are not known for their generous nature, they rank a close second to Germans in this realm (I think the outlandishly high taxes inflicted in both countries has something to do with it!). I would never expect a tip from guests that have me on retainer, I see them weekly. But unless you are going to be a bankable commodity in a SP?s life, a tip relative to the quality of service is a sure way to say thank you and have her know you mean it... Catherine
