Hi Everyone, council has asked me to "TRY" a health forum out. The contents of this section are just discussions on health and wellness subjects and not published by doctors or heath care professionals (they could be if a member is a doctor or heath care professional but lets just assume not!) We don't want a forum just filled with paranoid questions either or any comments stating that someone specific has a illness. This section can be used to discuss everything heath and wellness related. Discussions must remain positive (same rules of the entire site) and please try not to pass on bad information. Discussions are NOT to mention anyone with any specific heath issues or to vent about someone you think may have an illness or to announce you caught mono or something else from someone!

Every few years, I would decide to make myself a sweater. But I'd pretty much just figure out a pattern myself, and always wound up with ginormous, chunky sweaters that could double as homeless shelters--even if I always loved them and lived in them the colder days of the year. This year, I finally got around to making my first sweater from a published pattern. Voila!! I was able to adjust a bit for areas where regular sizing doesn't fit me (I'm too long in the waist, too long in the arms), but I whipped off four lovely sweaters that I'm really happy with! Two crew necks and two v-necks. Tonight, I'm putting the finishing touches on a knitted tee for spring. And I already have the yarn for a second one. WHY didn't I ever try this sooner?? Next? Crochet!

I agree with Angela, and Cristy Curves. This technology while having wonderful potential is very likely to be misused in the modern world. The proposed new antiterrorism act of Canada Bill C-51 has definitions which are so broad as to allow any agency to use this software for any purpose whatsoever. This new technology would be a further assault against our personal privacy. I'm a geek by profession but I'm beginning to fear that our intoxication with speed and ease of use, for the masses, is at the expense of the individual. This only adds to the dangers imposed by Bill C-36. I am really becoming ashamed of my own government for the lack of respect it gives people of Canada. We can correct some of this at the next federal election. But in reality, it will take at least four years to formally contest C-36 before the courts. PatrickGC

There are so many possibilities here that answering your question clearly and concisely might be literally impossible. However there are a few things you might do to better the odds of this never happening again: To be on the safe side, backup your information and have your phone factory reset. This is more than just taking the battery out, and the procedure verys between brands and models. If done correctly this will take your phone back to a brand new state, as though you are turning it on for the first time. This will ensure that nothing malicious is in the phone. Then you can reload your information. Modern phones are constantly sending out information. This is where a good chunk of your data plan goes to, even if you don't surf the Internet, and by default, most phones come loaded with all sorts of software which you will never need. So if you can find someone who is very knowledgeable with your specific phone that is willing to spend time on it [i.e. not a rushed salesperson] Get them to go through the phone with you and remove all the unnecessary apps. Many apps are poorly written from a security standpoint, so the less going on the better. If your service provider is being less than cooperative about this matter consider choosing another with a high rating from the Better Business Bureau. Because it is possible that it was a screwup on your service providers end. Here in Vancouver I know of one company who has a habit of overselling phones to the point where during peak hours their entire network gets overloaded and bizarre things start to happen. I agree with W**, "Christina is a classy lady, and a wonderfully intimate GIRLFRIEND! " I am now a regular myself of hers myself. Added a couple more to my "watched" list -- Birdman, and The Theory of Everything. Although Birdman and Boyhood are the top favorites to win the best film award, I will be pulling for The Imitation Game, unless I'll have a chance to watch Boyhood before Sunday night and it changes my mind. :icon_smile: The TIG just has the allure, appeal and attraction to keep me interested and immersed throughout the whole film.

I'm a fan of the British detective shows, and recently there's been a show on PBS which I'm enjoying. It's an unusual show set 50 years ago, the village vicar teams up with a detective to solve crimes. He's a jazz fan , takes a drink and has a couple of ladies in his life. Grantchester is the name of the show Also year three of the Vikings started last night.

I think this will stop many of us who are willing to give glimpses of our faces, to give a potential client an idea of our facial appearance, yet not enough to be recognized in public. From posting any type of neck up pictures. Any advances are great, but as was said, with the good always comes some bad.

I got to see Hailey again recently and it was a moment I'll never forget. Her hair is a bit longer than last time, but aside from that she was the same firecracker as always. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A GUILTY PLEASURE!! In my world, pleasure is never a guilty thing :D Has anyone seen the UK series Misfits? It's older now, and the series is done, but holy smokes is it good! Without giving too much away, it's about a group of people doing community service at a local community centre. Lightening storm hits, they get struck and get super powers. It's dark, hilarious and totally addicting! The first episode had me on the edge of my seat. The second episode made me cry. And the rest were a great ride! Also really into Hannibal the series. Holy crap it's amazing!! I never knew gore could be so bloody elegant! The guy who plays Hannibal NAILS it! Sadly, there's a wait before the third series comes out. Oh, and Gillian Anderson is in it - though in a small supporting role. She's still bloody smokin' hot! Ripper Street is a great period piece - also a UK show. It's a crime show that takes place in Whitechapel just after Jack the Ripper. I can't do it justice, but it's a great show. QI - a freaking fantastic quiz show for my fellow knowledge lovers. Stephen Fry is the host (if only he wasn't gay! I am so in love with that man!) and he has four panelists each week who are all comedians. The questions are really hard so the comedians usually just crack wise and they get onto some hilarious and informative side-tangents. It's worth checking out if you like laughing yer butt off while learning totally obscure facts. Here's a look at the typical hilarity that ensues on the show....
