This is what I call plagiarism with a twist! Our personal websites are not templates for someone to use and modify a little to reflect the person wanting a site by simply editing the original text/style/ideas. Existing websites can easily be use for inspiration but shouldn't be used as a template base to work from. I've had my site stolen and ripped off a few too many times and I find your suggestion upsetting to say the least. Creativity and imagination are free. One should use it more often then not.

Even if the OP was not venting about someone in particular, it's usually not in good taste for a companion to initiate a thread that criticizes how others conduct their business (in this case, using photoshop) while promoting their own upcoming photoshoot. Just my 2 cents.

You've got to be careful not to waste their time, and you have to know where to draw the line, but one thing I really enjoy on here is the introductory, get-to-know-you flirtations that some of our women members indulge in before the first meeting, and after. It's fun, and it's good to have a sense of the other person before you actually meet. It makes those initial encounters much more comfortable, and even more exciting. I know not everyone has the time or inclination to do this, but when there's a fun exchange of pm's with an about-to-be new friend, it makes the experience way better, I find. The sweeping new changes to the way prostitution is regulated in Canada follow a Supreme Court decision that found the old laws violated the rights of prostitutes.

Can we move on. I think she has been chastised, scolded, informed and judged enough. She has apologized, explained, yet the critiques keep coming. You want her to state facts/names?....wouldn't that be indiscrete and why would anyone take it personally, no names were mentioned. Often posts are made, that many of us could assume are about us but unless we are named then they are generalizations and many generalize here, just as many judge and critique. There aren't any rules about generalizing, if I'm not mistaken. If anyone who has posted here is happy with their approach/business, pics, sites and so on, then who cares what anyone says. It was an opinion, at least that's how I saw it . Opinions were made in this thread to those who take selfies as not being professional companions, I didn't take that personally. I replied to it because I know that's not the case, but I didn't chastise her nor did anyone else because she is entitled to her opinion.

As others have stated, people took offence when you generalized instead of providing facts, as well you did say you were venting(in post number one first line). I took your post as a personal attack (as well did some others), as yes I only use professional phots in my advertising and yes I photoshop (I admit it and am proud of it). Im selling a brand, one I invest in and yes I'm proud of what I represent and stand for. You get one chance for a first impression, how you choose to make it is up to you. How one lady runs her business, whether you like it or not is really none of anyones concern but hers. There will always be someone in this business or any business who over does something to an extreme, its best to just ignore it - move on and focus on ones own business. When we start to care what others do, it takes away from the focus on our own personal business. If you want to start a post like this, maybe think of using some real examples in the future instead of "some ladies".

Your suggestion here, sets the premise that it is ok to borrow or copy another Sp's hard work. That is 100% wrong on every level. If ladies would invest is a GOOD web designer, they could come up with their own concept and style instead of recycling what someone else already calls their own. If you don't write your own text, search the heck out of what is written for you as unless you pay a ghost writer, it was probably copied from another lady. I take great offence to what you have written here, as it implies its ok to be lazy and borrow from another. Just because someone likes my website, does not mean its a good fit for someone else, when I have personalized it to reflect ME. A personal site should be YOUR own, and something that reflects you. You are the one who controls how much or how little is on it and what direction you want it to take. Working with a web designer helps with that and will work with you to get what you want out of your site. Do what the rest of us with sites you admire do, hire a web designer to help you create your own magic. This topic annoys me as my site and ads have been copied / stolen numerous times this year and threads like this make it seem like the thieves were in the right to do so. Do you know how much work it takes to get your copied stuff removed off the internet? How would you feel if it was YOUR content and style being copied all the time? Hard to be original and stand out when that happens.

For me, one of the attractions of this is that I can see a variety of people. Older or younger, taller or shorter, tattooed or not, boobies as decreed by nature or constructed by a surgeon, blonde or brunette or redhead... it's all good. The one thing that I really want is someone that I get on with and like spending time with. And so when someone who I already like does something a bit different... what's not to like?

Slight hijack... for those guys who don't feel inclined to leave extra in the envelope for whatever reason, writing a reco usually seems to be appreciated. It helps the rest of us out, too :)

Ask yourself -do you really want this client? If so, tell him it's no longer available and if he wants to book he'll have to pay todays rate. If he wants the old rate he'll have to wait until it's offered again. This happens often to me as well, when I advertise my 1/2 hour , because so many request it, most want it after I stop offering it, lol. Just the nature of the beast:)

I would tell the person contacting me that it was an ad from another day when I was offering specials, but am not anymore!

Your website should represent you as a person and companion. If you ask anyone else what they think you should include on your site, you will probably get a hundred different suggestions: from having a blog to a private members' area, from detailed acronyms to general stats about your body, from selfies only to pro pictures and from-to everything else you might think of. I think the best way to go about it is to do some research, see what others have done, think about what you like and need, the type of image you want to put out there, etc., let your imagination run wild, get creative and come up with something unique and original ;) It's a fun project! Thanks for being the voice of reason Cristy. This site is not different from other online forums in that dog-piles sometimes happen and people can get beat down pretty badly. Having been on the receiving end of that sort of thing, I can assure you it's not pleasant and drives people away. I'm not convinced Victoria needed to be nuked from orbit. The responses have seemed a bit disproportionate to the offense.

P411 is not rating system. It is strictly a screening process for ladies safety. The gentleman will have his profile filled out, pay for his yearly membership there is more personal questions about yourself within this system . Within your P411 identification there is part of your real identity. The ladies look at your profile, if you are preparing a meeting. Gentleman will have what they call oK's from ladies that you have met previously, (you must get their permission and they ok you as a client) the list of okays are readily available on your profile for other ladies to view. That said, now the date, well the lady you're wanting to see will contact other ladies that given you an ok, to ensure their safety. No different then our ladies private section here. This just cuts the chase for the gent getting screened rather quickly. I've used it many times for traveling abroad.

As Ice4fun mentioned the trend now seems to be for some storefronts to host one of everything and then when you purchase they order it in. This means less inventory in the actual stores. I've heard of some looking to reduce store space but still maintain a store. Definitely a Changing face of retail

I'm home from work. It's been a long day. I need something to... improve things. so I log on to everyone's favourite board and... look what's in the shoutbox! I'm reminded that I haven't sampled the delights of Emily's massage skills yet, although I've been meaning to for what seems like ages. And since I'm tired and lazy and feel like letting someone else do all the work, there's only one thing to do! A couple of emails and texts and a short drive later, and I'm cursing the weather as I walk to the door. Yeah, that 20 is not a 'tip', it is a sign you need to be more in control of your clients & sessions, to the point of actually telling them 'all good things must come to an end' at the half hour mark. Don't worry about being called a clockwatcher or getting a complaint, this is a guy who knew exactly what he was doing, and pushed to see what he could get away with. I had a friend who actually would stop and collect the extra $$ for extra time when a client seemed to need more or was at that point of going over, because she knew that there was a good chance he would not either have it, or pretend he didn't or 'forget' that he owed more for going over time. regarding a real tip, then repeat biz, being on time, not double booking, not going overtime unpaid, these things help get repeat biz. if you allow one to make you go overtime, and you are not being compensated for it, you get a sour feeling which can affect other client experiences with you. If you allow someone to make you go overtime when you have already set up another appt for a certain time, and this overtime guy didn't compensate you, you may also miss that 2nd appt and the 2nd guy thinks you are flakey. You get a poor reputation in his eyes as well, he doesn't repeat because he couldn't rely on you to be on time for prearranged appts. Those loser guys who make you go overtime then don't compensate do a lot of damage, being called a clockwatcher for allowing a guy to only stay the time paid for is just something to ignore. If someone asks when first contacting you and they use that term, just decline the appt. Anyone who mentions it or asks about it, to me, is a clockwatcher, who watches the clock in order to try to stay longer than the paid amount of time. All new sps get the predators. It would be better to not use any words in any of your ads that indicate you are new to the biz or young, because that is when they come out of the woodwork lol

Obviously I don't know, having never been on that side of things, but... I think the biggest difference is that an independent lady is running her own business. That means she has to do all her own screening, advertizing, marketing, and everything else. It means she may miss appointments because she can't always answer the phone. An agency may be better for someone who's intermittently in and out of the industry. But on the positive side: she's in complete control of who she sees and when; she's in control of how she markets herself; and she gets to keep all the money she collects, set her own rates, make her own rules, and probably some other things too. Which side of the equation comes out on top is an individual decision. The same answer isn't right for everyone.

i don't know if this is covered already, but my #3 is that there are FAR TOO MANY GREAT, GOOD AND OK clients, there is no way I'm writing up a blurb on all of them, let alone the discretionary reasons for not doing that, like EVER. Another site is very big on the referral system (avoiding LE bylaw stings being the #1 reason). So clients post their review, and the sp replies in the review. That is the extent of her 'reco' so to speak lol The reason for the reply is to confirm that this is a legitimate client, not LE looking to give out tickets for not having the city escort license, for example. also, by implication that this is a guy who makes the appt, and shows up, and by replying she can confirm (or refute) the info in the review, meaning that other sps can either avoid him (due to what or how he wrote his review) or see him, as they wish. Of course this means initial contact with sps will be via pm to book by the same handle that the review was written with. in most cities, in most situations, it is unnecessary to do this. If an sp wants to screen a client more thoroughly, she will ask him to provide references, contact the sps to let them know she will be asking about him, and wait for them to reply. All behind the scenes, all discreet, all private, and no other clients viewing the comments. Not even the client himself. Here sps are not permitted to reply in their own recos, so having that as a public 'referral' method isn't going to happen.

One point on independent vs agency. When I worked for an agency in Toronto, the only info I had was a name and address. I didn't know what questions he asked, what choices he had etc. When I work indy, I get an email, and a phone conversation beforehand. So I have an opportunity to know a bit before we meet. The other thing when working with an agency, I always felt like I had to leave right away because the driver wanted me to go to my next call. Also, you typically give half your money to the agency and driver. So you had to see twice the guys to meet your financial goals. I will never work for an agency if I can help it. I prefer running my business my way.

I would certainly recommend Sensual Erin and Breath Taking Vivian as two great west-end contacts. Taylor Devine is also an indie in the west end that I've yet to see but has great reviews.

True story: A gent once gave me an envelope and when I counted it, there was $100 too much. I told him so and he took it back. Now if I notice extra money in the envelope, I just say thank you. The only time I ever wished clients tipped more was when I worked for an agency and I wasn't keeping the entire fee.

I wouldn't mind it so much, but when its been a few times that the same person has done this, it makes me wonder if they are just waiting until the 'deals' come and then they wait until after its over to ask for it.

Victoria, I find this thread to be distasteful and not in the spirit of this site. I truly feel an apology is warranted. It's one thing to discuss bait and switch (which you have indicated to not be the case), but you are critiquing those that photo shop their pictures to "an extent of changing how they really look". It airs on the side of airing out dirty laundry. I can just see the pm's you must get saying "who are you talking about". Since you have read the sticky on airing out dirty laundry, you understand this is not ok. Especially after posting this: If you can't support others, don't complain about those YOU feel are doing something you don't agree with. Either support others or stay silent please. My civilian look is totally different then my business look. I'd hate to think that someone is going around saying I look nothing like my pictures. My pictures are 100% me. No retouching and no photoshop. I do crop them but that's it. I admire those that get professional pictures done and have no issue with them enhancing them. I've never lost business because of someone else's business practices. I do my thing and do very well. I would never post a critical post like this. If you know of someone who is blatantly posting pictures on THIS SITE that are not accurate, AND you have proof, post in bait and switch or notify mod. However insinuating otherwise is not cool.

I have a theory about those who ask for this 'feature'. I don't think it's REALLY because they want to help the ladies screen or otherwise choose men. As has been pointed out, they already have ways to do that. Also, there are already things like P411 and such that have rating systems for clients. So OP, I'm about to cast aspersions on your motives. I hope you don't take it personally but what I think you and others who have lobbied for this in the past REALLY want is to know is what the ladies think of them. They want to know how they rank, are they actually good in bed, are they attractive, do they have something about them that makes them better than the other guys, etc. It's a competition thing. He who gets the most positive recos wins. Thing is though, think about the position it puts the ladies in. As soon as they write a reco for one client, other clients could potentially be put off. Maybe they don't want a reco written. Maybe they're jealous if one guy got a reco and they didn't. Besides, could a lady ever really write down a true opinion? Their position in the relationship is very different than yours. They will be sexy and intimate with all manner of men, some of whom they might never touch with a ten foot pole in 'real life'. Because they are professionals, they will give their best effort to make that man feel special and enjoy his time with her. Perhaps you're a great client. Maybe you rocked her world. Or maybe you're just ordinary and she faked it. Would you REALLY want to know? This is about fantasy, about believing what we want to believe. There's no room for truth here because, if truth be told, by definition most of us are pretty average. The business model depends on making you feel special. If the ladies were to suddenly develop a case of truthiness, we would probably be dismayed to find out just how forgettable many of us are.

As someone who invests 110% in their business and marketing I feel I need to say something. Yes, I use professional photos on my website and ads, yes they are photoshopped to make me look my best(there is no harm in evening my tan or whitening my teeth). NO I have never been walked out on and I frequently get told I look better in person than my photos. I don't lie about using photoshop and I have no issue with it all all, I've been upfront on numerous occasions about being glammed up in my pics. I also tweet a lot of selfies (which are untouched), however i would never use them in my advertising. If one is going to be professional and treat this as business you need to invest in it. Once you have a professional shoot (in a studio or hotel, with hair and makeup) you don't go back. There is nothing better than being made to feel beautiful for an afternoon and have others make you feel your best. Your photos speak louder than your ads and they are usually the FIRST thing potential clients look at. I mean there are ladies who have pics with piles of laundry in the background or a full garbage can (you'd never get pics like that from a professional) I don't judge ladies who can't be bothered to take professional photos, but I don't think those of use who do should be judged either. Don't knock it till you try it.

Miss Raven, I'll never suggest that I should influence how you conduct your business or the business model you use. But as a general rule in the market...when something is offered at a 'discount' or sale price it de-values that for the normal market. I can understand the reasons for wanting to offer a special at a moment in time or on a particular site or in a particular city. But in doing so...you set the market price. And the market/customers don't respond well when the market price varies. It leaves doubt. Which is never good. My suggestion would be if you do offer a 'discount' be very clear on the limits. It's even better if the buyer understand the 'why' or circumstances. Then when they pay what they believe to be a higher price they can rationalize that. IMHO...I wouldn't ever offer discounts. It distorts the customer and market. Says the humble economist.

That sums it up. We don't have choice of who is best, just a choice of who is least bad.

You've had great advice here, especially from Berlin. But perhaps i can add a very pointed comment (can't speak about dealing with agencies as i never have) ... .... you used independent certified SP, which only means that they have access to the verified independent area of this site. I've met Indies that are "verified" and those that are "general members" and had a great time with both, but i'm sure you meant indies in general! And too, as Midnite implies, research, research, research. And it pays to communicate beforehand a bit (an intro email could do most of that too). Hope this helps you.

Public client recos are kinda redundant: 1. We already have a bad-date section. 2. There is also the note feature. Also, it feels weird to me to reco a client. I mean, as far as I'm concerned, as long as you did nothing to warrant being black-listed, and your hygiene is good, you're ok by me.

Don't think I've looked at them in years. At one time I might look if I was in a motel in a smaller center to get the lay of the land.

I've been here since may 2011 and my weight has fluctuated up and down 20 lbs or so and I have clients that keep coming and never mention anything. Most don't appear to notice. I will say though, I did lose a boyfriend over my decision to do my breast augmentation. He said he would leave if I changed them and he did. So I benefitted doubly when I did my boobs, lol. I went from a C to a D and lost an ass;) I think most men when they find someone they like are fine with some changes, most aren't that shallow. At least the ones I've met.

Here is a post I made in another thread that better fits here! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I wanted to make a broad post here for all you gentlemen that rely on Tineye or other image search functions. Generally, you get very good results however no results does not always mean "good. There is a flaw in the search functions and that is the picture must match in order to pop up. If you take a picture, well known on the internet and use it in a search, it will pop up many results. However if you take that same image and FLIP it in any image software, many times the image searches will NOT pick it up. So, if you have someone you're checking out that seems "clean", save the image(s), flip them and try again. Extra time and effort yes, but also extra precaution. Many are not sophisticated enough for this trick but some are and your safety is paramount. Happy searching.

He likes "talking down" to other countries to the point of provoking a rant from a Spanish diplomat at a G20 conference...Harper is a condescending twat. Most of all though, he is a fraud and a hypocrite. When he was in opposition he actually wanted our banking regulation harmonised (his words) with the USA. That would have meant a disaster for us as well during the financial crisis of 2008. So he takes credit for banking regulations that he actually fought to remove. What a fucking goof. Problem is, people believe all the BS he is spouting.
