So just when you think you're an experienced hobbyist and don't have anything to learn. I made a mistake today. Rookie mistake in some ways but it seemed like it was going to work out at least at first. I booked VERY last minute, spur of the moment, but she was advertising here so it seemed like it should be fine. Arrive, very nice, sexy lady. I present an envelope and have a shower because that's just how I roll and then we start with the making out. This is going really well; looks like a good time will be had. But then I say something along the lines of, "Hey, you wanna do [insert innocuous activity here]" where said activity is some pretty normal foreplay stuff and really not out of the ordinary. "Oh, that's extra." "Uh....what?" "Yes, that's [insert dollar amount here] extra." Well now I'm in a pickle because I'm both horny AND confused. "So," I ask, "What other things are extra?" There was a bit of a language barrier here so it was a bit of a tough conversation but the short answer seemed that pretty much everything was an add-on. I was completely thrown for a loop. I didn't know what I could do, what not to do, etc. Very off-putting. In any event, it really ruined it for me. I'm quick off the draw the first time around so I generally count on being able to have at a couple goes in the course of an hour booking. I could just see the whole thing becoming a boondoggle so in the end, I took my one shot as quickly as possible and left her with the full hour rate. Really disappointed because I could never relax and enjoy anything about the experience. So all you ladies who do the whole girlfriend thing? Just keep doing what you're doing. A lot of ads say things like, "I don't like to discuss menu items but prefer to let an encounter flow naturally." Well I'm with you on that. This approach was a total mood wrecker for me and this is my lesson of the day. Do a bit more research and figure out what you're getting into. I understand that this is a job. I truly get the fact that the reason these encounters happen at all is because money is involved. As much as I'd like to be able to get with tons of beautiful women purely on the strength of my good looks and charm, that's just not the reality of it. The transaction aspect of this fades, however, when an envelope changes hands at the beginning and then everyone can just relax and enjoy each other. A constant reminder, a hand held out, feeling like I'm with a vending machine rather than a woman...wow. Not for me.

What is your motive for posting this? So guys can pm you and ask who she is? This is pretty much airing dirty laundry and giving a bad reco at the same time. I'd say, suck it up and get over it. Move on and stick to established, reputable ladies whose rates are all-inclusive.

The smell of sweaty ass could probably be compared to the smell of death. I don't know the smell of death but my nose does when it smells ass that is comparable to cow manure. lol. Having a pissy moment after the ipod scenario. Don't take my posts seriously except if you contact me or come to visit me. lol

I've had the same experience as Hector17. I think ALO Spas are great! I've been going for almost three years now. Reputable, clean, safe?...absolutely! A fun, safe, pleasurable experience. Alexxandria is a first-rate spa manager.

Sorry to hear about your experience Eric. In the future it may be best to ask if it is all inclusive and no additional fees for anything extra. If they go back on their word then this is an unsavory way to do business. I've been told my massage rates were too high by some people but what they didn't realize is that this was all inclusive. They said they could get it cheaper for elsewhere. I told them to text me back when they wanted a quality experience ( not likely I'd see someone who makes comments about my rates) because many quote a door rate type fee or a lower fee and go from there. If that's how they do business, that's their choice but I make it very clear upfront what they can expect so there are no surprises and that there won't be any additional fees.

I don't quite agree with the statement 'anyone new who isn't reviewed by a known member'. Some girls on Lyla ask not to be reviewed, others don't mind being reviewed. Reviews are what some guys rely on, but don't take those reviews as this is the experience you are going to have, could be different. Not everyone is to everyone's taste. I have been increasingly concerned that the discussion in the massage section may lead to problems for the providers. Especially the places that do other salon services. Escorts control their phone and location. Massage parlors such as bw, to/eb, Nevada's all have specific licenses but when the place is catering to a whole other clientele for other services I really think we need to keep our conversation much more vague. Some providers are students and I really worry that too much publicity through this review board could have negative implications for them. We have been in my humble opinion too free to identify some locations Although we have to be members o be on here it is not difficult to join. Our identity is very protected but some providers of massage can be left exposed by these conversations I see a big difference in what we should discuss depending on how the provider advertises

Finally reconnected with my aunt who is my God Mother and planning to visit her this summer in Montreal.

In my opinion there are many things that could make a client a good client.... frequency of bookings, length of bookings, the client's behavior before during and after the booking, bringing a gift, remembering special occasions or special things about the lady.... being extremely discrete about the lady... posting reviews if she wants them or not posting them if she doesn't.... so many things can go into it and of course Tipping is one. Some have suggested that being a good tipper can ensure better service or better access to bookings.... in many ways that is probably true whenever a lady sees a client as a "good client". Most ladies I have met have always said something like "tips and gift are always appreciated but never expected" and I think they have treated that way. Just my Opinion

Sometimes the castles we build imprison us. If you think the people in your social circles would judge you harshly then maybe it's time to make some new friends. Yet I wouldn't doubt each and every one of them has been affected by 'mental illness' in some way or another. At the very least, should you tell them, you'd find out who your true friends are, and you should consider the rest of them unworthy of your friendship. I sincerely hope your loss wasn't a son or daughter; I don't have many fears in life anymore but that is my greatest one. I'd be crushed and it would take a long, long time to start feeling myself again, if ever. After the end of a relationship years ago I was in a deep funk. Anti-depressants were all the rage (moreso now I guess) and my doc gave me a scrip for one. I've been on a moderate dose ever since and I've been satisfied with the results. I come from a long line of hillbillies-at-heart who buck the system every chance we get and even manage to make some money while doing so. I am very far removed from prim'n'proper networking and schmoozing and I congratulate anybody who can tolerate it. But keeping up false appearances can wear upon a man's soul: the false smiles; the mindless chitchat; the absurd bragging. I find that the realest, the most genuine people are the ones at the lower tiers of society. Maybe volunteering at a place that provides meals for the homeless would help? This person asked me to join in on a pubcrawl but I decined. I would never have left this person's side while partying, but others did and death was the result (this person was quite a nerd and very inexperienced in getting loaded drunk). I blamed myself for a long time, but it was not my fault. I still remember being begged to join the pubcrawl. It was a lovely and sunny Friday afternoon in downtown Halifax. At any other time I'd have been up for it, but I had a train to catch, a train back home. Life is a runaway train, picking up speed as we race the rails. It can't be stopped. As much and as often as I enjoy my chosen profession there have been times that I've stared at the ceiling and counted down the minutes and possibly a client or two may have felt the same way, who knows. Human interactions can be complicated even when carefully selected and screened. I think no matter what some read they'll already have their preconceived notions and opinions formed anyways. As with all relationships communication, imo, is the key. Especially when concerning consent and what each partner is comfortable with. I believe consent goes hand in hand with respect. By deciding to participate in this industry I think we all have to be aware that there is some Risk associated with most of the activities. Is that risk high or low well from my perspective that all comes down to an individuals risk tolerance levels ... if you have a low tolerance for risk than you may need to be very careful with your involvement in this industry. If you have a more realistic tolerance for some risk and you ensure that you take appropriate precautions such as ensuring you only visit reputable providers and that you restrict your conversations during booking to discussions of time and companionship then the risks are in my opinion extremely manageable. Risk in this industry comes in many many forms ... of course there is the risk of arrest if you are engaging in activities currently considered illegal but there is also other inherent risks for example if you are married and your spouse is not aware of your activities there is the risk of this discovery and its impacts on you and your family... there is the risks associated with colleagues and friends becoming aware of your activities in a world where while acceptance is increasing you will still most likely be seen as a pervert. Of course the ladies who provide the services must manage all kinds of risks including physical danger. In your particular case you refer to your love of Massage but your concern with the risks related to LE... Well from my perspective if you are visiting a well established reputable Massage establishment and you conduct yourself appropriately then the risk is very very very very low. As I mentioned earlier of course when booking the visit you should not discuss any activities that could be considered communication related to the purchasing of sexual services ... discussions regarding the level of massage services the lady provides should be done in the privacy of the room with just the lady. No, well at least at a "licensed" spa... HOWEVER, unless there are elements of human trafficking, the LE tend to leave them alone. OR there has been a specific complaint made... Heck I've don't recall any Indies being bothered either. I've been going to spas for OVER 15 years fairly regularly (and throughout the city) and have yet to even think that LE had any interest in me. As a society, we'd like to think we have advanced and matured over the centuries. Indeed, we have technology.. technology that makes better things.. but are things really better in the end? Mental illness is still an illneess that doesn't get sufficient priority or recognition. We have Bell's Let's Talk Day (God bless Clara Hughes!), we have Daniel Alfredsson endorsing and supporting the Royal Ottawa. But so much more needs to be done.. at a grassroots level, by ordinary citizens like us. We have high-profile sufferers like Robin Williams. We have too many stories of our soldiers returning home with various forms of PTSD and high rates of suicide. We have stories of first-responders who succome to the grind of their daily work. We have folks from all walks of life who are suffering. Rare are stories where folks saught help and were helped in a timely manner. So I guess one question I do have... how do we ('we' as in society) push this ahead? If someone breaks a bone, they go to the hospital and get a cast, and people are more than happy to sign the cast. If someone needs surgery, it's normal, it's done, no questions, no stigma, no "shame", and people visit the hospital with flowers, cards and homebaked goodies. Everyone has challenges and personal demons to deal with. We are taught from an early age to be independent, not to rely on others, be strong, do not show weakness. Well, mental illness is NOT a weakness, just as other maladies that affect our bodies are not weaknesses. The suffering in silence needs to end. Society needs to recognize, unconditionally, that mental illness is real and that too many of us cannot get the help we need. Whether an illness involves flesh and bone, or grey matter, it should be considered an illness, and be treated as such. CM

So, I'm just trying to find out the situation for people - maybe this will be a useful tool for some of the ladies who have interest in coming up to Yellowknife and maybe a means of shedding light for past ladies who have come up. I recently got to spend time with Nikki Quinn & Lacy Lovelle. Only in the past while has it seemed like Yellowknife has gained a little interest in the eyes of the ladies.
