If it was similar to that we wouldn't be reading a "poor me" story with mention of the lady(and a comparison to a vending machine, really nice touch). So just when you think you're an experienced hobbyist and don't have anything to learn. I made a mistake today. Rookie mistake in some ways but it seemed like it was going to work out at least at first. I booked VERY last minute, spur of the moment, but she was advertising here so it seemed like it should be fine. Arrive, very nice, sexy lady. This approach was a total mood wrecker for me and this is my lesson of the day. Do a bit more research and figure out what you're getting into. I understand that this is a job. I truly get the fact that the reason these encounters happen at all is because money is involved. As much as I'd like to be able to get with tons of beautiful women purely on the strength of my good looks and charm, that's just not the reality of it. Today being the unofficial start of summer, we have a great season of many visiting, extremely reputable companions planning their schedules to make the trip to our wonderful province. The decision for some to make a first (or a return) trip to NL will depend on many factors, but I would think not in a small way on word out that we are gentlemen that respect them and can be relied upon to follow through on our booking. Even 1-2 no-show clients per visit can make or break a trip, as the time, effort, and costs to come all the way here is not insignificant. I stand corrected, but believe that to be the case. Breaking a pledged commitment by no-showing or cancelling for unserious reasons is not doing yourself a favour and frankly just plain douche-y. Respect yourself by showing them respect. Of course this applies generally and not just to Newfoundland and Labrador, and includes non-touring locals as well. Remember, this is a business, and if there is no profit to be had, it will gladly stay put or go elsewhere - just not to NL. Support the ladies when and as often as you can. If we treat these lovely ladies right, they will keep returning and maybe even spread the good word among their friends that coming here to NL is a great idea, with the great weather and tourist attractions that we have to offer in the best months ahead. Why dont you go...or dont go? Sorry to hear about your experience Eric. In the future it may be best to ask if it is all inclusive and no additional fees for anything extra. If they go back on their word then this is an unsavory way to do business. I've been told my massage rates were too high by some people but what they didn't realize is that this was all inclusive. They said they could get it cheaper for elsewhere. I told them to text me back when they wanted a quality experience ( not likely I'd see someone who makes comments about my rates) because many quote a door rate type fee or a lower fee and go from there. If that's how they do business, that's their choice but I make it very clear upfront what they can expect so there are no surprises and that there won't be any additional fees.

Often times I have shake my head and just have to laugh, I do feel your pain Eric. I am on average a bit more of a luxrey rate for my local market is accoustomed to. With that said, I often get responds " Ohhh that is so much more than . " I am quick to remind them I do not have hidden fees and tips are not required. But also, I am not going to discuse a menu either. Why? 1. Not everyone is accepted for my total package ...such as hygine ( which clearly you are respectful with) 2. I do not want a client to criminalise themselves. 3. I do not like to commit to activities upon our first meet. I do feel, one's rate should be able to reflect on what you may expect. Now, the enquiry as I described that says, " Ohhh that's way more than. " I know is accoustomed to receiving the traditional mechanical style . But that is ok too, but should be advertised as " Rate starts at.." At the end of the day, you tried, you tested....and that is about it lol You will find some you really like, others could be not so much. But Mature Angela is right that sticking to names and reps that show consistency will prove much easier on your budget.

This is always a losing battle. In every business bad companies and/or people will always exist. While it is frustrating, there is nothing you can do. People will do some pretty low down and dirty things to get ahead but it won't be for long term. These people will be exposed as those who aren't good to do business with and the more they scheme, the more they think they can get away with it. Their arrogance towards what they think they are getting away with will ALWAYS trip them up eventually but one day they will meet their match. I won't get into the specifics of what some people do to get clients ( i.e undercutting) as that has been a sore subject for me in the past and have had to let it go. Like yourself, I am experienced in this business and have seen the changes before my very own eyes. However, like I said people who are unsavory do not stick around long term in the business or any business for that matter. The fly by nights will always only have short term gain and have to keep moving. The ones who win are those business people who focus on themselves and what they have to offer to their clientele. It is inevitable by doing so will garner them a favorable reputation. In the long run this will work in your favor and on your terms that your clients will respect. There may be clients who go and see these type of business people and lose money in the short term because they are thinking they will be getting a good deal or the situation looks appealing but there is always a caveat with the crowd you mentioned and that is the examples you listed above. Focus on yourself and who you want to attract. By maintaining the positives in your business, there will be no choice but to give back what you have projected to your clientele. I promise by doing so, it will come back in a very nice way that is always surprising. ;)

I think the best way to get "rid of bad apples" is to just focus on your own business and promoting the visions you want in the industry - be the change you want to see in the world.... wasting time and energy on others is pointless - "the bad seeds" as you call them.... they always self destruct anyways. Hey all, I'm just venting. Truth is, I don't have anyone in my life to talk to about this sort of thing so you guys are pretty much all there is. Question my motives all you want but I'm telling you, I just came here for some support. I found it very stressful and upsetting and it really ruined my day. I was in a rotten mood for the entire rest of the day and something that would normally made me feel better and relaxed actually gave me knots in my stomach. I'm not knocking the lady and I'm certainly not naming names. This is in no way a negative review. She was cheerful and professional and there was nothing wrong with the service. I just hate that business model. I've never encountered it before so I didn't know that it was something that I had to look out for. Now I know so I was simply sharing my learning experience. Yes, I understand, the blame is mostly on me for not doing my research but everyone fucks up some times and sometimes you just need a hug after you fall down. So in conclusion, ease the fuck up okay? This is a community and it's shrinking all the time because everyone seems to be so quick to jump on people if they say anything the slightest bit out of line with their own world view.

I understand your disappointment however I also agree, you could have posted this in a more appropriate way without so much info about the lady in question or the event. She was after all to your expectations you were simply upset because you had to spend more, imo, not really the end of the world or worthy of a complaint, at least a complaint such as this. Every meeting, spur of the moment or not, should involve clear communication so both sides know what is to be expected. These new laws do give some an advantage as some seem to be taking the phrase "paying for time " beyond it's literal meaning. Always ask up front if the rate is all inclusive, but then again inclusive of what?

When I am asked that, I always say "If I was using fake pictures, don't you think I'd pick someone younger and fitter". I also remind them that I am a member of this board and that our accounts are moderated and that if anyone is caught advertising fake pictures they are removed.

I really think supply and demand does weed out the bad seeds a lot, people are less likely to repeat if things like that happens and will warn others.

In my opinion there are many things that could make a client a good client.... frequency of bookings, length of bookings, the client's behavior before during and after the booking, bringing a gift, remembering special occasions or special things about the lady.... being extremely discrete about the lady... posting reviews if she wants them or not posting them if she doesn't.... so many things can go into it and of course Tipping is one. Some have suggested that being a good tipper can ensure better service or better access to bookings.... in many ways that is probably true whenever a lady sees a client as a "good client". Most ladies I have met have always said something like "tips and gift are always appreciated but never expected" and I think they have treated that way. Just my Opinion

Not really sure what is happening in other markets across the country but in St. John's there seems to be a lot more visiting ladies and some local ladies who are advertising lower hourly rates (not dramatically ... like $50 less) then the normal all ( relatively) inclusive rates charged by many of the more established and reputable ladies. Of course what seems to be happening is exactly what Eric referenced... when you get there they want extra for almost everything. So once again I think this just proves you will never go wrong if you stick with reputable ladies who are well know in the business and who ensure you leave happy with no surprises.... If you are a hobbiest and new to the industry do your research... ask around. Our youngest cat is getting HUGE. We've had pets go through fat phases before, but seriously, I had to pick her up to move her during a meeting last week, and I had to use both hands. She doesn't seem to eat more than anybody else, and she's always romping around, getting plenty of exercise. I'm wondering if a trip to the vet is in order.

I've been following this case closely for years and just last night had a discussion about it with a constitutional lawyer with some great insight into the dynamics of US military motives, children soldiers and human rights. Watching this young mans release, seeing his face after 10 years with a bag over his head (literally) showed me he "did" the time, the time didn't "do" him. He needs time to acclimate, heal and adjust. I feel he is entitled to enter society and screw it up or not, the right we all share as Canadians. As for the dichotomy of Harpers Captain Save a Ho legislation, it was the only option to keep the religious right somewhat appeased. As I said in another thread, some will want pro photos some will want selfies and so on. No matter what a person provides someone will comment to the quality, sound, site etc, of what is provided and suggest doing something different or better. I've given up listening to what others say or want because everybody has different wants and expects different things, no one can please them all and I'm happy with what I have. I have been approached by numerous gents wanting to take pro photos but I still stick with my selfies. If I'm judged on their quality, oh well. I have an iphone 4 that's what I use for my photo's and they seem to bring in my required amount of clientele and no one who has seen me has voiced any disappointment so why fix what works.
