I think that if everybody leaves the ship, then this is "the beginning of the end". Things are what we make them. This website, despite the new rules since last December, is still what we make of it. Human beings adapt to new situations. We can still talk about many things, and even the things that are supposed to be censored, using the art of language. Think about countries where freedom of expression is a real issue for human beings, and even a risk for them to be killed. Ladies & Gentlemen, YES, the F--K you can write about anything you want! Don't give up, or this government will win this for good! Resistance is the solution. Nobody will tell me how I should live and enjoy my sexuality, even when it is related to business. F--K Yeah!

I want to take a moment to say thank you to a very special friend of mine who is amazing not only as a person but as a supporter of what we all do here. The connection versus just focusing on the naughty aspect. It's all part of the equation. With C36 in place, he went on camera, showing his face to say how important he believes what we do is. That would take some serious thought and contemplation on a good day but today, he could be charged because he admitted it. I will send positive and supportive energy to him that he is not targeted but I expect if he is, they will have one heck of a fight on their hands. Patrick puts his money were his mouth is and I respect him so much for this and applaud him for always standing up for what's right even if it's not easy. So to him I say thank you. Thank you for being who you are, for being amazing and for being a friend :D

Unless part of the appeal of showering with your provider is washing her hair and face I don't see why anything above the neck needs to get wet... I have always showered with clients at the start of each session and I have only ever been spritzed above the neck(with hair tied up) a few times by accident(me being in shower wand-control is key in avoiding this I have learned), with a handful of other occasions were just me losing control of myself not caring about getting my hair/makeup wet... Ah, the memories, lol! I think as long as the MP has a shower wand, is good at multi-tasking, and keeps a good handle on themself until the table(can be hard to do, lol) it is a great opportunity to share some nice face to face moments with someone. Unfortunately, some providers(mainly SPs) I have spoken to about this are simply unwilling or unable to provide this out of fear they will get drenched. I personally really relish the opportunity, especially with new clients. To have a bit of face-time before they're face-down on my table is awesome, and as a bonus being completely sure my client is sparkling clean and feeling fresh makes my sessions that much sexier! I think a lot of people here have scurried into their cubby holes and are peeking out, evaluating the changed landscape. It's not a surprise that many have been left feeling dejected and disillusioned. It's only natural, after being stripped of our freedom of expression and choice through no fault of our own. I often wish that the general public at large were more educated about the workings of the industry. If they were, more of them would be up in arms. Let's be clear: the new laws have nothing to do with combating trafficking and exploitation - there are already laws on the books for that. The government is banking on societal ignorance and apathy that will allow them to feed the public their drivel and have it unquestionably accepted. On the surface, for the layman the new laws sound good, considering they accept the party line at face value. But, as we all know, the truth is much more sinister. It's an attempt to legislate morality, which I believe takes away our basic rights and freedoms. Sadly, most people are unaware that this is even occurring. To put things in perspective, imagine for a moment that the Conservatives passed a bill that made engaging in pre-marital sex amongst civilians illegal. There would be an uproar of momentous proportions, with riots across the country. Of course, the opposition would jump at the chance to publicly announce that they will squash such unconstitutional legislation, if only they are elected to form the next government... So, is there really a difference between this hypothetical scenerio, and the one we are currently faced with? Just one - premarital sex is free, and the other is for an exchange.

I've never been a huge contributor here, but the new laws are definitely stopping me from talking as much or about the same things as I use to. I'm a liberated woman with a very high... libido... a lot of my life revolves around sex. At the same time, Lyla is a valuable resource to me and I really don't want it to be shut down or made a target.. so I understand their need to censor the site. Not knowing if I can talk about something or knowing I can't has made it difficult, but I honestly think in time things will kinda go back to normal.. I mean, incalls weren't legal, but a lot of us were offering them, talking about them openly, etc.. It will take time for people to relax again. Harper's fear mongering seems to be working everywhere.. :(

Thank you for the insight, Bethany. I can see where it takes a LOT of skill to keep your hair and face -mostly- dry during a shower4two, and yes, the BEST MPs offer it as a matter of course. I guess what I was getting at was that sometimes mistakes happen (and I totally forgot about the shower wand) and the ladies end up drenched by no fault of their own. Then, there are the "second-tier" of MPs that have in-room showers, but it is -usually- only for the client for a quick wash pre- and post-massage. A shower4two would include an extra tip for the MA, and we can all see where that continues to go. what I call the "third-tier MPs" do NOT have in-room showers, and have one "down the hall", mostly for the MAs use; but the clients can use it if they ask. The less said about this tier (and any other lower tier) the better.

Bill C-36 has had an impact without question but I think it's also a bit of a natural attrition. Demographics is having an impact as younger players really have no interest in this kind of social media. Sort of like golf, older folks still play but the youngins can't be bothered cause it takes too much time and for them it's boring. Certainly some quality players have moved on or gone to ground but there seems to be little benefit seen by lots of players on both sides. There is more of an edge and while I have generally have no issue with that, it does spin out of control very quickly and become repetitive and redundant. There does seem to be a lot of anger and frustration out there. Maybe it is just inevitable that things will change. Peace MG

I think I would use the term disheartened. This new law has not only taken away the right to consensual pleasure between adults but it has taken away our freedom to talk about sex and pleasure because even if it's not about an exchange, it's about sex and could be connected. I miss the interaction and openness. I miss the acceptance and support. Yes, we're still supportive but it's surrounded by feeling like we've been stripped of something and I think many will agree, many seem on edge and prone to pounce more negatively. I've noticed a huge shift and myself have shifted to my personal blogs to make commentary. I miss the interaction and different views that we used to enjoy. There is now risk involved in doing this that's not related to stigma or not wanting so and so to know. It can impact jobs and careers and even result in jail or fines. I understand why some choose to remain in the background and it's entirely frustrating that we're at this point and I can only pray that we will get some enlightened leaders into places of power and change and rectify the wrongs slammed into place by our government. Like NorthernOntGuy said, it feels we have lost our way and the only way back is together. It's not illegal to talk about sex in general terms or to flirt and enjoy. I suppose we have to find that line.

Cleo has received positive comments on this board in various threads, but no one has yet written up an "official" recommendation. So, I thought I'd take care of that little piece of business. :) I've been wanting to meet her for some time and a few days ago I finally had the chance. It can take a lot of skill, my tips for providers: be really organized(keep soap bottle handy, opened, tuck wand under your arm when necessary for both hands to get soapy, etc.), install a shower wand(I even used to bring one to the hotels I would sometimes see clients at, such a geek, lol), be sure to tie your hair up, move slowly and steadily, and stay in control- save it for the table! I agree with most of what you say, but even though I don't get many massages like the ones we talk about here, I don't think it's fair to exclude everyone who doesn't have shower access from the "BEST MPs" category. I haven't been scoping out the competition's reviews as much lately, not being so active on the board lately, but I imagine that there are some stellar ladies who simply choose to work out of locations without shower facilities for myriad reasons; proximity/location, exposure, contentedness with/loyalty to their first employer, friends, culture, etc. I think the more that is said about any amazing providers, the better, especially sharing details about the facilities so perhaps people aren't disappointed if they had had expectations that are simply not available at that location. I think we all should give thanks, and reviews whenever deserved, even if there is no shower, and remember that this site and others like it(Yelp, Tripadvisor, etc. for other businesses) can be a great source of new business. Which reminds me, I have a review to write about my last vacation, it was awesome, lots of showers there, lol!

I agree, that this has been happening way before c36... But that hasn't helped the site and since this is an adult site, you can't really discuss sex with all the words being blocked out... Nature of the environment I guess. I do think the place has become stale, and the fun threads are very repetitive and sure I contribute to them once in awhile... But no new ones are being created and just seems the status quo. Like some other sites, it would be nice to discuss day to day news or things that are happening in the world, but none is discussed. Many of the Indy's also offer shower before and after. It's all part of the fun. I've had many good memories start in the shower. It's one of the reasons that I like to see MA's. Sexy showers are part of the fun :)

In-Room Showers are included in every session, with every attendant...at no extra cost at Vibe.

At CMJ and Vibe, they always join at the beginning of the session and at the end. I've only gone to ALO once and the attendant joined me for both also. At Angel, sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. But I've never been charged extra for a shower. And shower time is sometimes more fun then the massage session :) Usually they join you for the cleanup shower as they are also oily. So I can see that if they are busy, they would be taking a lot of showers if they had to take 2 for each client.

All the MAs I've seen at Vibe have joined me in the shower. Same goes for CMJ. Paradise/Angels... some do, some don't (they're more likely to in the newer rooms with bigger showers, I think). Agree with the OP... it's a nice touch when they do :)

Actually, CMJ was the ONLY agency I have visited where this was included. Most of the others have had in-room showers available, but it was a "Take a quick shower and I will be right back" type of deal. The remaining few either had showers "down the hall" that were more for the attendants than the patrons, or were, sadly, absent. I believe Boomer is correct in his post when he says that "...all MAs are not willing to accommodate this option". If you think about it, how many times a day would they have to re-dry their hair (potentially damaging it), and completely replacing their makeup (that gets expensive). Now, playing Devil's Advocate, the attendants "touch up" their hair and makeup between appointments, but it is NOT the same as /replacing/ their makeup and having to dry/restyle their hair. For those reasons, unless the attendant /specifically/ states that she/he -includes- a shower for two as part and parcel to the agreed upon rates, then the attendant MOST DEFINITELY deserves to be tipped. The amount is between to two (or three, or four... lol) of you.

You Ottawa guys are so lucky. I, also, have seen Bethany twice. Once in Ottawa and in Vancouver. She knows how to deliver great service.
