This is the second time we try to organise a summer social, at members request, and both times ticket sales were low. 2 years ago only 20 ppl attended therefore this is not something we will consider in the future. Odette, I think you are smart to seek service and not rate recommendations from others. Do your own shopping around for quotes, as everyone's situation is different and will be evaluated differently by each company. Up until this spring I was with Belair Direct for seven years. I was very happy with their service and responsiveness, but (reluctantly) moved on when their rates became less competitive. There is also the liability and clear rights infringement issues (yes, going too far even under the tyranny of C-36) of Police appropriating the images of real escorts (current or former) and using them for their own aims. I'm still pretty new to this and I'm going off what I've seen and been told by friends that have been in the business. I personally have my "base rate" as I call it. I'm told that's standard. If you use your head, and do some research, one can usually weed out the BP ads that are fakes or scammers. In my area there tends to not really be much other than BP for SPs to advertise. So locally, I have my one regular SP that I have seen for years. When I travel, I rely on lyla. It's an approach that has worked well for me. As a result, i really have no need for BP.

You give your name out to dozens of companies (for example, I just signed up for a gym membership and they wanted to see my driver's license) but you balk when one of us asks for it? This is a generalization, but often the more information an SP is seeking to verify your identity, the more established and professional she is. If you want to see a higher end provider, a lot of times, you are going to deal with more red tape, because these people often have a business plan that accounts not just for their budget, but also for their safety.

Yup, sps who don't use one of the most well known and well used site are basically making a business mistake over the long term. It is easy to get caught up in the bp bad hype hysteria, but it is, after all, only an advertising site. Another thing to look for is if she has clicked to show her other ads. Most sps have more than a single ad in rotation, possibly in more than one category. Looking at an ad and not seeing a list of their other ads might be a red flag if they don't have other ads.

I disagree. Lots of us use BP as another way to advertise. However, if BP is the ONLY site, then I would be concerned. That's why using cerb AND Google helps to weed out the fly by nights. Do your research when visiting anyone.
