Spent the evening at Pigale, yesterday. Dinner was good. Roast beef was well done and delicious. Rice was horribly undercooked. Second time this has happened to me this month. I have to say that I love Lyla for sharing information Lately I have been seeing so much bait and switch comments, I thought I might put my own thoughts on this out there. Fake pictures; rediculously low rates; ads that are so grammatically bad they look like they were written by a five year old; WeIrD sYmB@Ls in the titles; different phone numbers for same girl/different girl(s) with same number; ads that disappear; no website or reviews to look at; sketchy areas known for this; available 24/7 (uh, when do they shower, clean or sleep?); not so appealing incall location; multiple people in the incall (a sure fire indication something is going on); 'party friendly' (generally code word for drugs); you call two or three times and a different voice each time 'claims' to be the name in the ad; in town for two days, but you have been calling for ten days; "well reviewed" in the ads but they can't tell you where those reviews are; fee is different when you get there from what was advertised; where does in end? Reputable providers don't usually make their availability in sketchy areas of town or go to areas they do not feel safe in. Nor do they use someone else's photos. They have a screening process to a certain degree and are polite and accommodating. The stories of things like, "I have to go pay the driver", "omg, my boyfriend/mother just came in, let me get him/her out of here", "just let me have a quick smoke before we get started", these are the things that I see written here, but guys fall for it all the time! These girls take your money and disappear. Reputable providers do not 'have' to do ANY of those things. When you show up to an incall, it will be a welcoming spot, with clean sheets, a fresh environment and warm and friendly smile and hug. When are guys going to wake up and realize that you get exactly what you pay for when others have claimed bait and switch, or the ad just seems too good to be true. I was told of three different bait and switch girls working in the same city where I am, but in locations I wouldn't walk through in broad daylight never mind at night! But guys are continuously asking about these same girls! These girls pull the old 'someone is here' and go out the door! With your money! If you show up, and the girl isn't who is advertised, appears drunk/high or both, turn around and go home. These so-called providers need to be stopped, your safety is just as much of a concern to me as my safety is. I like to think that someone feels completely comfortable in my surroundings. Okay, a couple of things to say here. First... I've found that massage rates tend to be reasonably consistent between the major spas (including P/AT) and independent providers. You're usually looking at 180-ish for an hour; it may be a bit more or less depending on where you go and what options you want (or don't want) where those exist. For the spas that only publish a door fee rather than an all-in rate, you can do the math yourselves. Don't ask me about other lengths of appointment because I tend not to go for those :) Second, a word to those people making snarky comments about people with long-standing accounts asking questions like this: it's perfectly possible to have been involved in this industry for a long time without ever going to a spa. Maybe those folks have only seen escorts in the past. Maybe they've stuck to indy providers, where it's much easier to ask questions directly of the person who you'll be with. Or maybe they haven't been involved with this industry for a while; people do end up doing things like having monogamous relationships, sometimes for years at a time, without playing away from home while they do. An account with few posts that's been around for a long time and hasn't been to a spa is not inherently suspicious. None of that means that anyone should feel obliged to answer PM'd questions from people with no posting record - hell, I quite often don't myself, and I'm far more likely to help out other members who do things like post recommendations - but if we could hold back on the open scorn and hostility, it'd be nice.
