My extended family decided that we'd give gifts to any children but that the rest of us would just enjoy time and meals together. I have to admit it's made things much less stressful for everyone and we actually enjoy the holidays more because of it. Yes, watching people open gifts is fun but it had started to seem an obligation and chore that outweighed the enjoyment (plus there's a lot of aunts, uncles, and cousins in my family!). Getting together for a couple big meals with everyone, and watching the nieces and nephews go through their gifts has been the best of both worlds. But that said, if we are talking gifts... I'm also not insulted by gift cards when it's for a place I enjoy; still shows the person is thinking about my interests. There's also nothing wrong with baked goods. Make me a big meal, a plate of cookies, or just a giant brownie and I'm one happy guy. If you can think of something you can give that you would enjoy together, that's always extra nice too. Could be a board game, a day out, a tv series you think you'd both enjoy... Good luck!

I think your on the right track... for me the gifts I appreciate I appreciate the most is the gift that clearly shows the connection between me and the person who gave it to me so if my children or SO want to get me something then if it involves them spending time with me doing things we enjoy then that is perfect. Over the years I have had some pretty wonderful gifts given to me that clearly showed that the gift giver knew me well... One was a unique picture of my family done in a significant way with a letter that explained it... just a wonderful give the second was a "star chart" of the night sky which when I first opened it I was kind of perplexed about until I realized it was the gift of having a star named after a member of my family who is not with me any more... these are the kinds of gifts that require someone to know what's important to you and to go out of they way to make that connection in the gift that they give.. Just my opinion

I guess I am old enough to remember a time when very few ladies completely shaved so I am totally ok with either approach... what ever works for the woman works for me... Well I have this best ever recipe for seafood casserole. Lobster, shrimp, cod and lots of butter and real cream. I had it about three weeks ago for company and froze one extra large serving so tonight is the night. Hoping it will reheat nicely. Salad, rice and garden peas with it.

Just my take on it. The photos a lady provides on her website, profile, ad etc should be enough. I'm guessing in some cases (not all) guys who are requesting pictures have no intention of booking a date, they just want pictures. I also find an irony here. When someone says he needs a photo to decide whether to see a lady or not, then it seems logical that the picture has to include her face? So a lady has to reveal herself in a photo, and as a consequence give up her privacy. But the irony? Likely a lot of the guys requesting those photos (which requires the lady as consequence giving up her privacy) are the same guys who refuse to get verified/screened, because they are concerned about "protecting" their privacy. The lady has to consider one other thing. Once something is put on the internet, it never goes away. So she may be keeping that in mind when she decides to post or not post pics and that too has to be respected Anyhow, the photos a lady provides on her website, profile, ad is what I'll go by. If someone is responding to a backpage ad I always refer them to lyla. I refuse to send pics as that practice is usually in support of a "pic rip". And said "pic rips" somehow are unable to figure out how to navigate the site. Furthermore, I get peeved when someone requests a face pic before booking. Not only do I consider them really rude sometimes, especially from consistent pic collectors that never book, but the fact remains that I have zero idea of what the guys look like that are booking. Someone said its safety first for them to ask for pics of the girls, and I can see that to avoid bait and switch situations, but what about my safety? I still have no idea of what you look like or who you are when you are coming into my home. This is specifically prevalent when someone trying to book doesn't even adhere to my booking procedures. I have that in place for my safety, but apparently my safety doesn't matter, as I still don't know who you are or what you look like. On our profiles here, the girls state they are female, where we are located, we have pics and stats, and a little about us. Most of the guys have just the fact they are male, and perhaps what region you are in. Other that that, there is generally nothing about you.
