I believe a lot of issues on this board teeter fantasy and reality. Its a very fine line there is nothing wrong with mixing the two. In my opinion linear age is quite unimportant as long as someone said its not unbelievable or 20 years difference. I believe most people are attracted to the personality, what we say, when and how. I remember a time when Ms Catherine St. Claire of Ottawa did not post photos with her ads. I had always read her posts and creative ads and I really can't recall wondering what she looked like. I just knew I was terribly interested in her opinions etc. I did not see her until we met face to face and yes she is beautiful but I liked her already so her look ( or age ) had no bearing on anything . Its the same with age. Some men like every age group and see them all. Some are comfortable with a certain age. As long as when they arrive and that age they are seeking opens the door everyone is happy.

I think for many is a way of proving that the other images are real. It's easy to find millions of images of attractive ladies with a Google search to fake an ad. It's harder to find a video that matches them. Not impossible of course but lends credibility.

I have seen those ads Helena and so far from what I have seen I'm not impressed. Many will make the video themselves and either will not show their face or only their face and they just stand with little movement. If you want to show a small video to me get a person with a video camera to stand back so we can see your entire body in sexy lingerie or show your assets.

I have a dog - a bully breed - smart as a whip. Full of energy and loves everyone. Can be a bit hyper when meeting new people. Was my co-pilot on my trip across the country last summer. I got her when she was 8 weeks with the intention of finding her a home, as she was in a bad situation. Here I am 2.5 years later, and she's still with me. Its been a struggle finding a place that accepts dogs here - if she was a small dog, it wouldn't be a problem, but she's 60 pounds, so over the weight restrictions for most places here. Well for me, and speaking only for me, if a lady gives an age range that would be fine...say for example early thirties, late thirties and so on It is honest without being detailed. Now if someone, just as a hypothetical example who is in her late forties said she's early twenties, well that is fudging it quite a bit :-) BTW and this is just my opinion, and based on my experience and preference, there is nothing unattractive about how old you are...I've seen ladies from almost every age category in this lifestyle from mid twenties to early fifties, but the ladies I see the most are in their thirties and forties. I guess despite what advertising tells ladies, not all men are looking for ladies who are in their early twenties (hope that is worded right) Another way to put it, there is not one ideal woman who is the ideal age for every client out there. Sure, you can get a lot more bang for your buck from SP's and MA's, but there's something unbeatable about strip clubs, when they're good. Barb's has been very good lately, not necessarily for mileage (there's concern about monitoring, etc), but for the quality of the dancers. I've been going to strip clubs for years, since the days before lapdancing, and long before I took up active punting, and was thinking back nostalgically to the very first time a lapdance was performed for me. I will admit a video catches my attention, perhaps in part because of the novelty. I also think they are often used to offer reassurance that the poster is legitimate and not just using false pictures.

I for one don't mind seeing family pictures. I'm a family man. I value family mementos such as pictures. It is a pleasure for me to be welcomed by a companion to share her space and a little slice of her personality. Now, that being said - it could be awkward if I were to recognize a family member. Absolute discretion is of course always necessary and I wouldn't cross that privacy line by saying anything to anyone. By displaying pictures, you remove that choice of privacy from your loved one. Why take that chance.

I think to many personal photos is a bad idea but that is just me. I'm very open and talk freely . I would not however as someone mentioned want someone to see my sister for example. She is a high ranking government official. Perhaps a guest may not wish to see her as possibly they know each other . I have on my mantle one photo of my departed father and my nephew when he was a baby and a bit older. For those who are frequent visitors they are familiar with Marilyn Monroe photos. She covers most walls in my play room.

I know that some people do not use this expression with a bad intention, but I do hate it. - Because of Bill C-36 there is not much room left to discuss the details of private encounters. But I agree with you and other members that it is best to know what to expect on both sides. Therefore... - We can all find our own ways to discuss these details like adults using nice words and subtle ways... A phone conversation might be better than texts or emails in this case?

I will speak for myself, as not everyone feels the same way. I wrote a blog once about feeling like a McDonalds drive thru. "I'd like a ... And ... And ... And ..." "Would you like to supersize your order?, drive to the first window please." The funny thing is, what they want is what I love, but I felt like I was being broken down into a sum of parts and not looking at the whole experience. So, when the laws changed, I decided to take control of how communication was done. It's not that I have an issue with LE, but I finally have the ability to determine what is and is not acceptable. Yes, I loose out on some invitations, but they are the ones I don't really want to meet. Personally, I would approach it with first asking if she would like to have a discussion about how you envision your encounter. That is completely different then someone texting me out of no where saying I want X, y, and z. It can be a bit of a shock when I'm expecting "hello, my name is ..., how are you doing", vs "I want X, y , z. So, if you open the communication first, ask if she is interested in a discussion, you will find that she might be open to the discussion. Good luck.
