3 pointsRule of thumb Google her images/phone number Tineye the same Does she have a website? Are there any discussions of her anywhere? 24/7 is a red flag party friendly is a red flag Multiple numbers/names - dig deeper Openly offering illegal services - HUGE red flag - circumventing censors is never good Telling you she is available RIGHT NOW - really, she doesn't need to freshen up? One thing to say, she is available with little notice, but another thing to say, come over right away. Most legit providers require some notice, as they are not sitting in their lingerie. Very young - 18-21 is sometimes an issue - be cautious if that is your thing. Good luck! xo

2 pointsIt's been almost 6 years here for me now. Just wanted to raise my yearly glass to toast the women of Lyla. I've met many more wonderful women here that have treated me like a king. Trouble is there are too many great women here now and it makes it difficult to decide who to see next. Some one new or one of my regulars.

2 pointsI never understand the threads about the new laws. The words are so technicals that I gave up long ago. All I know is what I do is legal, beneficial, and good for the economy. All I ask for is a safe place to work out of.

1 pointWhat can i say about this lovely woman... other them holly hell, i need more money! lol She had me from the time she walked in the room. I knew she would be gorgeous, but had no idea just how gorgeous. When i clicked the model looks button... I was looking for something that would better describe her... Angel seems to fit the best. She entered the room dressed as a sexy secretary, that i would love to have btw. Sexy vest and blouse, with a lovely skirt. We spoke for a little bit, flirted for a little bit, she batted those big beautiful eyes at me and i was lost. I'm sure on my way to the table i almost fell when she wasn't looking. The conversation was great, i learnt a lot about her, shes very interesting and easy to talk to. Conversationalist to say the least. She gave me probably the best massage I've had at paradise thus far, and believe me, it will be tough to beat. Throughout the entire session, we kept the conversation light but interesting, but i have to admit, it was hard to concentrate at certain points or the massage. When it was time for the flip, she continued massaging my chest and legs, and the body slides... omg the body slides... They were like nothing I have ever experienced before. I would repeat just to have those body slides alone. The finish as always is private, but it was one of the most memorable moments since I've been a hobbyist. If i had an unlimited budget, i would be there every day she works. We clicked so well and had such a great time, i cant wait to repeat! See you soon Sabrina! Zoro

1 pointIt's been a while since I have said thank you to the women of Lyla.com It's been just a little over 5 years since I had joined Cerb. The first year I mostly lurked and read recommendations and the interesting threads until I finally got the nerve to meet my first SP. The first meeting lead to another meeting and so on. Then I went and tried a MA, but that didn't work out too well:(. But the next MA was a well known GFE MA which showed me how much fun Massage can be :). Since then I have met many women, some of which I am still seeing after 5 years. I've met many great women here that I have had the honour to repeat with. In my many experience, I think I only had 3 not very good experiences, one of which was a bait and switch. But the rest were all good experiences with many that were exceptional. I have participated and started many threads in the last 3 years and have chatted with many people in the chat room. But since the beginning of the year with the new laws and the name changed from Cerb to Lyla. I've noticed that the mood here has changed. The censorship has affected the topics that we can discuss. Recommendations have to be written in a less descriptive manor. Many members have stopped seeing companions afraid of being caught by the new laws. Quite a few women had retired from the profession. But most have stayed and adjusted their advertising to fit with the new rules. But recently the women are coming back and members are starting to post on threads and posting more recommendations. The new laws haven't really changed much so far. No stings or people being arrested in Ottawa yet. The police are only interested in going after pimps and human trafficking. The MA spa's have been hiring many new sexy women. There have been quite a few women that have retired that are coming back to the business. Some of them I considered legends when they were here. I've had taken the opportunity to meet some of them recently, as I had missed my chance before :). And found out why they are so highly recommended. As I have said before, the women who truly enjoy being a companion are the most fun to be with. Hopefully in time this government will be replaced and the laws changed so that we can have more freedom of expression. So here is my toast to the women of Lyla.com. Salute, to the kind caring women of Lyla.com that post and contribute their opinions and advice to us men. These women offer their services without discrimination to men of all sizes, races, disabilities. All the ask is that you are a gentleman and that you have great hygiene. They offer companionship, sometimes friendship to lonely men, widowers and virgins. For a short time the man can feel the love and passion of a woman. Some men are shy and lonely. This gives them the chance to be with a woman that he can only dream about, the girl from school that they only dreamed about being with. Or they help you have the fantasy that you dream about. Sometimes they can keep a marriage going by providing the sex that is needed in a sexless marriage. I have become a more confident man and have had many outstanding experiences with many of the women that I have met here in the last 5 years. Many memories made and friendships that continue to this day. I have gotten to know a few of this women personally and admire them for what they do to support their kids. Or to put themselves through University. I just wanted to show my appreciation for the companionship that they offer. And I am sure that other members of Lyla.com feel the same way. If so, let's here from other members. Yours Someguy

1 pointMissing in Action People who have been members here for a while know who it is that I am talking about. I myself plead guilty as I have posted very little in the past six months or more. CERB or now LYLA was a place that I used to log into every morning with my coffee, and then again multiple times daily. Now I have become complacent and truthfully rather bored. I know now and always have known the basic premise of what this site was about but it used to be a place where one could engage in good discussions on all sorts of things, both inside and outside of the sex industry. I miss those discussions a lot. I will not even begin to name the people who have stopped contributing to discussions here, but men and women members alike who are intelligent, well spoken, humorous, and who contributed ever so much more to this site than what I see here now, I miss you.

1 pointWe are now only six months into the Liberal majority government mandate and I am beginning to wonder. P.M. Trudeau has indeed already met some of his election promises (which is great) and there are indications that other promises are working their way through the system. I am very nervous and scared that they will ratify the TPP and that will be yet another global screwing of Canadians in order to support big business and the multinationals. On a level more pertinent to members here, I have yet to hear any indication that the Protection of Communities and Exploited Persons Act (Bill C-36) will be repealed, amended or even sent to the Supreme Court for interpretation of its legality. Perhaps this is in the works and understandably its probably not something that they want to publicly acknowledge, so I still have at least some minor hopes for action. I have for my entire adult life communicated with my local Member of Parliament or the various Prime Ministers and I always received a reply, if even only a form letter, until the Harper government took office. Since then nothing. I even occasionally had a phone call about whatever I wrote about from my M.P. Following the election I wrote under my own name to the Prime Minister Mr. Trudeau, the Justice Minister and Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould and to my local M.P. about the legislation based on Bill C-36. I received not even an acknowledgement so perhaps our present government is in reality little different from the past one. To my knowledge which is based solely on following web sites of the organizations that speak for sex workers, there is no lobbying going on to keep the subject in the mind of government at a Canadian level. I follow as best as I can P.O.W.E.R, Maggies, Stella and P.I.V.O.T., all of whom made presentations at the hearings on Bill C-36. My position prior to the legislation was that it will be responsible for the deaths of women. I still believe that to be true, primarily for street workers. I cannot help but wonder if well established sex workers who do actually screen for their personal safety are not on their very individual level very happy with the legislation as it now exists. I certainly do not see SP's here being at all vocal about the legislation other than to use its existence as a way of telling clients who they can actually trust. As for Mr. Trudeau and Jody Wilson-Raybould I shall be a bit more patient and see if their, "Sunny Days", indeed is real.

1 pointAnother thing: if you have browser plugins, disable them all temporarily and see if that helps. If it does, turn them back on one by one until you catch the one that's causing the problem. 1 pointI am a mac user who uses Firefox for everything and Safari for certain things. I've noticed a drop in responsive links and webpages myself. Waiting for the dial to finally stop going around and around. I thought it was my connection (was seriously going to complain to my Provider) but realized others have been experiencing the same issue. (for instance on facebook, I've found it's been flaky and slow, not responsive or fast) I am only aware of the facebook one and some other websites I use. Google is the only instant webpage that comes up... go figure it's Google. I use Safari for YouTube now. It kept crashing Firefox and freezing everything. Try switching things into a different web browser if you can. Have you emptied your History? Cache, Cookies, History? etc. Usually that helps a lot of the web issues, cause it catches all this unwanted crap. If you don't normally empty it, it may take a few moments and can slow your web browser down till it's done, I'd recommend not having a lot of links open when doing it. Ensure you bookmark websites, bookmarks don't get deleted when doing this process. I hope this is helpful. I don't know a lot about computers but I know a few things to keep them running okay, things that everyone should at least do once a month.

1 pointCats don't have owners, they have staff. This is so true! I've grown up with 3 dogs in my life but also grew up on a big property with a lot of cats from litters. They all have their own little personality and they're sooo smart! I have a cat who lives with my ex because he is an outdoor cat but he is smart as a whip. I also taught him to give a paw for a treat just like a dog does. He is feisty but cuddly and while he is a largely built cat, he is still able to run and climb trees. He is so cute! Because he is a tabby cat, I once dressed him up for halloween as Puss n' Boots. He had the cape, the hat and the little booties on. I was keeping him inside on display until I opened the door for some kids wanting candy and as I turned by back for a quick moment, he flew out of the house in that costume. Since he is an outdoor cat, he did not come home until the next morning and when he showed up, the cape was mangled around his neck, a boot was missing and the hat was gone. lol.. I can only imagine someone driving down the street and seeing an orange cat leap into action with a cape on. LMAO!

1 pointI always like to hear a man's voice before I decide to meet with them. Because of my strong intuition and psychic abilities, I pick up on their voice and I am ALWAYS right. This is ultimately my deciding factor in meeting someone just as other ladies have a screening policy.. this is mine after speaking with a person for a few minutes. I have this one type of voice that I love hearing in a man. It's not too deep but certainly not high pitched either. lol. It has to have some cheerfulness because a positive attitude is important to me. If it turns me off or I don't like what I hear even if they sound nice (something may be off for me), I will not see them and decline for whatever reason. With the voices, I just seem to know who I will be dealing with right down to their characteristics and the type of person they are. When they sound very outgoing, that's a huge turn on for me because I'm outgoing. They say not to judge a book by its cover but the voice gives it away all the time. Good or bad. I have made assumptions a few times where the person may have sounded monotone or not appealing but they turned out to be nice and perhaps just shy and introverted. However, something else that may be unsavory about a person always catches my attention and I listen to my instincts with that. Myself, I have been blessed with a voice that usually catches people off guard with them either saying to me "Is this Nicki?" and they later tell me that my voice caught them by surprise because it's a very sweet, innocent sounding voice but also sexy as I've been told many times. Back in the old days when I had a home phone, telemarketers would call and say to me "Hi, are your parents home?" to which I would respond "Yes, just a minute" and then I'd leave the phone down on the table and continue cooking dinner. lol. I have a terribly young sounding voice and I have also worked in the past as a phone sex operator when I was going to school. I did very well with that.

1 pointSadly, I think I misjudged the cultural consensus on this issue at time the law was passed. Maybe I was projecting my own feelings onto others. I thought Harper was doing something unpopular. I think I was just out of touch. I now believe that most Canadians are anti-sex trade. I think most people believe that the sex trade and feminism are incompatible. I think Trudeau will find greater popularity presenting himself as a feminist with his gender-balanced cabinet and his attacks on the wage gap and telling young girls to believe they can become world leaders than he ever will by re-legalizing the sex trade. I don't see any conflict as to why he can't do all those other obviously feministy things and still be pro-sex trade, but I think most people see it as mixed messages and he'll stick with the popular message. I hope I'm wrong.

1 pointHaving an age range is important. I do this as much for me as for the lady I am looking for. Sometimes you cant guess her real age by the picture. And being more mature I would feel a little uncomfortable seeing someone too much younger. Some don't seem to mind feeling that they are compensating their companion so it does not matter. But for me it does. I mean I don't think it would be enjoyable for a lady if there were a huge age difference.

1 pointAccording to the Justice Minister, this is on their radar and will be looked at and I think that may begin soonish. She has mentioned on numerous occasions when asked that it will be addressed and those it impacts included in the conversation. Up until this point, the Liberals had bigger fish to fry with only two examples being the assisted suicide bill that was on a time limit and the missing indigenous women. With the budget announcement last week, plans are in place for both so now would be a good time for a push on the Minster. This legislation may be exceedingly important to us but when you're a new government with a list of things to correct, it may not be a top priority on the priority list.

1 point"I feel the reason the whole C-36 debacle isn't garnering much attention is that it's somewhat of a hot potato.... no one really wants to handle it" The backroom guys and gals will decide whether it's an issue that has traction with the electorate at large and if there's nothing to be gained they'll keep their head down. Pot is a whole other issue and even though there's much more traction with the electorate I don't expect much concrete to happen until 12-18 months out from election. If they were serious it would be decriminalized now. In the end it's politics sunny days or not. Peace MG

1 pointI've touched on this before with this site, and for one being a little longer in the tooth have been enjoying the variety of responses the ladies have been offering. Thank you. As with some of the older men here, we've experienced life pre internet. When lifestyles such as this were, for lack of another word, a bit more clandestine and a bit more of a search. Women and men interacted a little slower than the speed of data. As I've been discovering this sight , a recurring theme on male age that overall is respect, courtesy etc. This of course is a general observation not a rule, I was a young bull once and held the same respect for Ladies as I do now. So my question for the Ladies, how much do you think the internet and social media, have played in the real world affects on mens sexuality today. How has the chase, seduction ,approach to women has changed from 40 years ago. A little long winded(sorry), but its interesting to put some perspective on this. And hey, you Ladies have been great . Thanks for any thoughts.

1 pointThe overwhelming majority of ads on Winnipeg Backpage are indeed sketchy. However, that may not be the case in other Canadian cities. The rule of thumb that I follow is this: if Backpage is the only site where a lady advertises, be very wary. If she advertises on other sites such as this one, the other board, Escorts Canada, etc. IN ADDITION TO Backpage, she's probably OK. Whatever the case, do your research wherever you can find reliable information. Don't forget, this board severely restricts negative posts, whether legitimate or not, so many of the not-so-good experiences don't get reported here.
-
1 pointI should re-state my earlier post. Not everyone beepee add is sketchy, I guess I feel as though ones on these types of sites are a little more professional perhaps? Does that make any sense?

1 pointI totally agree with Emily, just add the fact that I want to avoid meeting someone in my circle connection, clients who are 37+ is preferred ago for me. And yes, I have similar experience with young gents. Someone emailed me "I have 60 bucks, European, super handsome you would f*** me for free" or "Today is my 20th birthday and I would like to loose my virginity to you, can you see me for free"...

1 pointIt is my belief that a transgender woman is a woman, and not a man playing dress up or pretend. Nor--and I think this is key to your question--do I think a transgender woman is being deceitful simply for presenting herself the way she is. I gather from your post the ladies you're speaking of have transitioned, and now have a body that matches their identity. I'm glad to live in a society where people can truly be themselves. And if these ladies happened to have some surgeries in the past, well then no, I don't think I as a client would have a right to that information any more than I expect any other lady I spend time with to disclose all of her medical history. I don't mean to be flippant or dismissive. I understand why you'd ask the question and why some might struggle with this topic. But when you say "many unsuspecting clients would be very upset if they found out that the person they thought was natural woman used to be man", my thought is that is their problem, not hers.
-
1 pointI don't have an age restriction, as long as the client is of age (I check ID for young gentleman) and who are respectful. Nothing else should matter. I don't have an ideal age bracket that I connect more with. I am more connected to personality. They can be anyone, a 20 y/o can see me, we hit it off, sweetest client ever, we got along well, then if a client in his 30s sees me and no connection. Any age this happens, think about going on dates with someone... or your co-workers. It depends on the client and how he is, his personality and I am sure clients have seen me and didn't feel they connected, I could feel the same way back. Age is just a number, in most cases it's very irrelevant to me (again, need to be the legal age). Some gentleman before they see me, even though they've confirmed, they tell me about themselves. What I mean by this is they give their age, height, weight, body shape, etc., and ask if I am okay with their appearance over text. It's very irrelevant to me, I don't care if the client is fit, obese, smart, blue or has grey hair. It is common for older gentleman to ask if I am comfortable with older gentleman, I always respond I am comfortable with older men (I always am asked, "is it weird seeing me 'cause I am much older than you are?") I don't have an ideal age bracket because everyone is different. I could hit it off with a 70 y/o, 30 y/o, 25 y/o, etc., to see me, respect is needed. If someone is rude there is no need for me to see someone regardless of their age or what they look like. Respect, kindness, and a little bit of caring into contacting me goes a very long way. Summary: Age doesn't matter to me. (as long the gentleman is of age)
-
1 pointReverse massage is an option where I am but to be honest it's rarely offered and most of the time I politely decline if it is. In my experience, the clients I've seen take that option the wrong way and assume its an invitation to stick fingers and hands where they don't belong. I'm not opposed to such things, but I would have to get to know someone over a few sessions before being comfortable with that. Asking permission is always appreciated as well. Seems sometimes people forget common manners. If you're offering a massage, give a massage, plain and simple. If I want other things, I'm not shy and will tell you. Otherwise, be respectful.
-
1 pointI love being offered a massage!! Especially if a it is a good massage. Many client don't focus on releasing tension in my muscles, they just skip right to the good stuff. Which is fine too! It just makes a good massage that much more special (and a turn on).
-
1 pointI don't really have a strong preference for a certain age bracket. The majority of my clients are 40+ and I've maybe had one or two clients under 30 ever? I have a lot of preferences and requirements when it comes to who I'll see, but age is pretty low on that list, and hasn't been a strong predictor for me of the good or bad qualities I see in clients.
-
1 pointUnfortunately I think your question is just too narrow... for me age is important as I tend to connect better I think with ladies over 30 but I have seen ladies younger and older. I don't need to know their exact age so in most cases a general range is fine but I think the reason for not providing the exact age is important... if it's for privacy reasons but the range stated accurately reflects the lady's real age and appearance fine but if the reason for giving a range is to misinform and leave an impression that they are older or younger then they really are then I have concerns with that... honest communication for me is extremely important... it does not mean a lady has to share her personal information just that what she does share should not be misleading. Just my Opinion

1 pointEveryone is different. Some do same day-last minute bookings. Some require advance notice. Most will advertise this information on their ad or website. If the lady is someone who accepts last minute bookings, and she does not answer right away, it could be she is in a call and does not answer the phone while on an encounter. If texting, let her know if she can text back (i.e. If you get this text before xpm, feel free to reply). Some won`t reply if more then an amount of time has gone by for discretion. If leaving a voice mail, let her know she can call back by xpm. I always hesitate to reply to text messages if its much later, unless they specifically indicated it is ok to reply later. If sending an email for someone who pre-books, and if she has not replied within a 24 hour period, feel free to re-send your email. Technology sometimes messes up and emails, texts and voice mails get missed or erased. The only issue I ever have is if someone sends me a text every 5 minutes for 2 hours. Starts out Hi, then Hey, then working? then the question marks start. Especially at 2 am. Those I will never reply to and will most likely block, so I don`t even get the texts or phone calls in the future. Or if someone has been rude, crass, asked for unsafe activities, or ignored my instructions posted on my website. I agree the lady who replied it was rude to waste her time when she took so long to get back to you, and wanted you to be there in 30 minutes, is unfortunate. I'm a believer that if its meant to be, it will happen. Sorry this happened. I'm a firm believer in pre-screening your ladies. Contact them in advance to confirm their booking protocols. Introduce yourself, let her know that there are times you have a short window of opportunity, and is she interested in you contacting her if you are both available. This helps to find out in advance if you are both compatible, what her rates/protocols are. Obviously, you don't want to utilize a lot of her time, but this helps to narrow down your options for when you have time to play. If done respectfully, it helps.

1 pointThe first car I bought from a second hand car dealer was 7,778.00. My credit was approved, and I drove the car off the lot. About a year later, I was going to buy a house. I went to a mortgage broker, and he told me that with my interest, by the time the loan was paid off, I would have paid over 28,000 for the car. The dealer didn't search for a better loan, just gave me the first one (probably his uncle lol). The mortgage broker told me I had good credit, and was able to drop my car payment down to less then 150 a month and saved me a lot of money on a car that was probably only worth 3000. So, if you don't have credit to get a bank loan or similar, go to a mortgage broker and see if they can negotiate a better loan. Don't go with the loan from the second hand dealer. They don't make their profit from the sale of the car, but in fact on the loan they get you. Also, if you are planning on getting your first mortgage soon, wait to buy a car until after you buy your home. It's easier to get a car loan AFTER you buy a home, but mortgage companies get weird if you have car loans when deciding to grant a mortgage.

1 pointI had a problem with my van last week. The keys would no longer turn in the ignition. The tumblers were worn out or something. One dealer quoted me 2.5 hrs labour and 400 for the part which included programming of the transponder keys. Another dealer said one hour and 400 for the ignition unit and 2 keys and programming. Youtube said it could be done in a 30 minutes, but you might need to have a locksmith reprogram the key. You can buy the ignition replacement for 150 at the auto store, This would still cost at least 300 dollars. I called this locksmith and he said he could find a ignition cylinder that could be changed to match my keys so no programming needed. This would be about 60 dollars. plus 45 for service call and 65 per hour. Well he came today and charged me half an hour. so total cost was 145 dollars. This just shows how much the dealers have been ripping us off. You should always get a second opinion from another mechanic. I am sure you will save hundreds of dollars this way.

1 pointUnfortunately, Trish has left SACA and will no longer be able to be a point of contact for us. (I don't know where she is going or what she will be doing, just that she is still with OPS, but I hope this is a positive for her.) Here is her replacement's information: Sergeant Alison Cookson Sexual Assault and Child Abuse 613-236-1222 ext 5463 [email protected]

1 pointCar Salesman. Most of them are dishonest. They all want to make the most money out of you. They will tell you that they want to make this deal happen and will fight for you with their managers. They want to sell you the most options that they can so that they can meet their quota's or make there commissions. A good dealership is one that will stand by you in after car sales service. How they deal with your car problems and warranty issues is what makes people come back to the dealer for their next car.
-
1 pointAnother trick that they use to negotiate is that they ask what payment amount would suit your budget. And if they could meet your amount would you buy? All they do is change the length of loan to make it fit your budget. What could have been a year loan is now a 7 or 8 year loan. You can afford to pay it, but with the interest charges you will be paying for a few extra years. Negotiate the price of the car with all taxes and fees. Get the price down before you negotiate financing or your trade in. Otherwise they will play around with the trade in value to make you think you got a good deal. Remember that no matter what deal you make, they will still make a lot of money off of you in the long wrong. If you follow their maintenance schedule and do it at there garage it will cost you more then it would at a independent garage. But I usually stick with there schedule to make sure that they will honour their warrenty, if something goes wrong.

1 pointThe only info i can offer is if dealership sweetens the deal with something like a extended warranty (maybe covers the years you will be paying the loan), ask if they are going to charge you for it. I didn't find that out until after signing and taking papers home to read them. The cost to extend the warranty until payment in full is like an extra 8 months payment. I can't figure out how that works out, it still could be okay since warranty was originally some amt of km or years, whichever comes first. It kind of makes sense to be covered until car is paid in full, but I would have appreciated the opportunity to figure out the benefits for myself, before signing, and not feel like they tricked me.

1 pointI'm a car guy. I've agreed to buy cars over the phone/internet just by talking with the owner. Money hasn't exchanged hands until I've seen the car but I've flown to Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania to buy. In buying a used car, I recommend starting with the mechanic/garage who will service your car or someone who knows cars very well. Some garages specialize in specific marques; they do excellent work at fair prices. I haven't had a major car repair in well over 10 years.

1 pointOn servicing: bear in mind that warranties on cars may be dependent on getting them dealer-serviced at the specified intervals, which means you pay too much and do so more often than necessary. You may or may not consider this worthwhile to keep the warranty valid. On finance: last car I bought, I asked whether they'd work with me on the price if I paid outright rather than taking the financing. They wouldn't. I think the reason for this was that in my case the cost of the 0% finance was borne by the manufacturer rather than the dealer, and so it made no difference to the dealer's profit margins whether I took it or not. But this obviously won't always be the case. YMMV, as they say :)

1 pointI worked at a new car dealership for 5 years. Don't be fooled by 0 % financing. 9 out of 10 customers bought from me because they wanted 0% financing. The price they paid for an SUV was 34,000 with 0% financing. The same vehicle could be bought for 27,000 without 0% financing (ie do your own loan or line of credit ) . One year later the vehicle depreciates to 25,000 dollars. For the guy who paid 27,000 thats not bad. For the guy who paid 34,000 plus all the fees and taxes(38,800) if he writes off his car it's worth 25000 and he still owes 32000 it really sucks.

1 pointI buy my own oil & OEM filters and get a local guy to do it, partly because I am particular about what oil brand I use and it ends up being cheaper. ^ some good tips there. I am a member of a Subie users forum and I plan to see if I can ask what people paid for the cars when I eventually trade in my current ride & buy something more practical Correct me if I am wrong but a 2-5% markup over dealers real cost (includes manuf rebates to them) is fair

1 pointI used APA to get me the best price on a new car. told them what I wanted and they gave me a price. I used that to negotiate with the local dealer (the best price was in Montreal). Wound up getting a better price - end of the month, Friday at 5 pm... That said, Ottawa is a bad place to buy cars. There is very little competition. Basically there are 4 or 5 families that own all the stealerships. Beyond the concentration of market power, they fix prices for service. I once received a fax by accident - they were doing a survey amongst themselves... we pay mechanics x we charge y...
