As an Atlantic Canadian who knows many people who now live in or commute back and forth to Fort McMurray for work I've been watching the disaster coverage in disbelief. It's one more example of how things can turn on a dime in a most unexpected way for any of us. As my little way of helping I have just made a donation to the Canadian Red Cross. I understand as well that all donations will be matched by both the Alberta government and the Canadian government. For those that are able to assist, the link to the site is here.

The overwhelming majority of ads on Winnipeg Backpage are indeed sketchy. However, that may not be the case in other Canadian cities. The rule of thumb that I follow is this: if Backpage is the only site where a lady advertises, be very wary. If she advertises on other sites such as this one, the other board, Escorts Canada, etc. IN ADDITION TO Backpage, she's probably OK. Whatever the case, do your research wherever you can find reliable information. A lady entering a hotel discretely really has nothing to worry about. And the hotel wouldn't even know she is there to see you, well not unless you tell the front desk, or your (or her) behaviour (ie loud, a lot of ladies entering/leaving your room throughout the day/night etc) draws attention The only concern really is if a hotel has key card access for the elevator If it does, you may have to meet the lady in the lobby, or better still the hotel bar/lounge/restaurant I've hosted out calls at many hotels and the lady has had no issues getting to my room. To me an SP friendly hotel is one that includes the following features: A discrete entrance - for example the Delta in St. John's has underground parking and you can take the elevator right up to the ladies floor without going through the lobby Allows after hours (evening) access without cardkey Parking easily available A bonus is a good resturant so that you can order a great room service meal for longer encounters Having said that I find that while some hotels don't offer all of these amenities I have never really had a problem with hotels they exist to welcome people so it's normally not a problem to glide in and out without any notice unless either you or the lady you are visiting do something to attract attention to your self... walking through the lobby is not really attention getting in my experience. I am sort of planning to ask a lady to join me on a trip. I would only ask her because I know we'd have a blast, and she has, more or less, indicated she'd enjoy this particular getaway. It doesn't help your case to add some rather condescending comments, but that is exactly the way you have approached this. You also assume that sps who treat it as work, do not enjoy their time or activities with the clients they go with. That would be a huge mistake. Paid professional companions know better than to go on a vacation date with someone that they do not like or enjoy being with. that is why a professional is unlikely to arrange such dates with new clients, and only do them with someone who has visited a number of times, and at least over night or weekend dates first. Time with clients, paid time with clients as you have just said is what you provide, is actually work. am i just talking to the air here, is there some kinds of jobs out there where going away to work is considered not work? when your company sends you to Bangkok to go to a conference, pays the entire trip and meals, & you are getting your salary is it not still considered work? It is warm there, and you could take an afternoon off to go ride elephants, but to the company, and you, you are getting paid to go to Bangkok to present at a conference. And I bet, that very few people who get sent to Bangkok by their company, with all expenses paid, are unable to enjoy the fact they are in Bangkok, riding elephants during their downtime, and eating exotic foods in the sunshine. They likely enjoy their coworkers, the people who are also getting paid to be presenters at this sunshiney conference. The people who sell the elephant rides may find it hard to imagine you see this trip as 'work' too, but that doesn't take away from the fact when the ride is over, you return to the reason you are there in the first place: work. It ain't a vacation unless you are taking the time off, away from work, i.e. away from clients, and spending your own money on yourself. I'm sure your generalizations are generally correct across the board and I've always respected your opinions and immense knowledge of this industry. That being said, when I do take a lady away from her normal work in the great white frozen north we call Canada to a much warmer tropical climate in the dead of winter I always take the philosophy that it is better to give than to receive. And not with people who are her actual family and friends. Don't you think that, in all seriousness, if she wanted a vacation to a sunny place, she would rather be with her SO, or children, or sisters, or mom & dad instead of a business acquaintence? But this time 'being pampered', is time away from her family, friends, and pets. If she lives alone, her pets need to be cared for, which will either inconvenience a friend or she will be paying someone to come in to look after her place while she is away. She will be informing potential clients of her inavailability, clients who may only be infrequent visitors and she will never be able to recoup that visit. She may end up turning away multiple people, only to find out 1 week before the vacation is to take place, her vacay client cancels, gets sick or otherwise bails on her. at this point, it is possible she has had no deposit, and she has turned away appts, so now it isn't just the lost income for being away, it is now costing her money to have agreed to go on a vacay play time pampering she is supposed to be grateful for. Let's just say i am not a fan of the expectations of clients for what they believe these vacation plans should be, on the part of the professional paid companion. somehow the word vacation seems to be applied to the person they want to hire to spend that time with them, and no real understanding that the very word 'hire' is a contradiction to that word vacation. these are not vacations for paid companions.

Yes, well the insurance I have always purchased requires the passport # to be specified on the application form and obviously the correct name, DOB and home address to be valid. I make sure she is totally independent of me. If she was to feel the need to leave early and return home (not that she ever would with me but it's important she has the means) then she must have that ability without relying on me for anything, just for her complete and total comfort level.
