For most of us, the main things are respectful of time/availability (don't expect that with 10 minutes notice, you are automatically going to be seen... odd perrrhaps, but has happened!), donations (do NOT haggle!)... and *read our information* before booking plllleease :) saves everyone a lot of possible aggravation ;) As a 'newbie' to either this 'hobby' <grin> or just to this site.. it is to your benefit to read through the FAQ/rules on here... some may seem mundane, but there is good info on here... same with threads pertaining to 'turn offs for a lady <grin>... 'ask a provider/hobbiest'... very valuable info for anyone really ;) As for what makes a perrrrfect session, to me, not only does being with someone you can connect with matter to me... I wonder if everyone has their own little slice of heaven? For me here in rural PEI I know that I do. It's pretty crazy now that my kids have all left home for other provinces and my wife has passed away that I keep this property. I have the pretty stereotypical PEI home - a huge old farmhouse that I constantly renovate, 15 acres that a neighbor uses to plant in grain or soybeans, a lovely garden plot, a huge perennial bed, strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, and big old shade trees that are pretty handy in summer weather. Hummingbirds have adopted my place as well and I have the biggest bonfires without worrying about regulations. The list can go on and on. I'm not going anywhere. As my title implies, I'm completely new to the hobbyist scene and LYLA and thought I would ask a few questions that maybe members or moderators might be able to give me a hand on. I'm from Midwestern Ontario, a small rural community with not a heck of a whole lot to do and sometimes the gaps between getting lucky with a lady are longer than I would care for. I have tried other websites but I always felt sketched out about meeting somebody from them because, as they say, "if it looks too good to be true" always jumped to the front of my mind. I don't feel like getting rolled, arrested or scammed so I began searching for a website that let members discuss SP's to let others know it was safe. And Lo, Did I see it descend from upon lofty heights, With script white and short, upon whose name was LYLA.com Hallelujah! I'm no longer a moderated member, I have scanned over the Rules & FAQs a few times now to make myself familiar with how everything works and I feel ready to start the pursuit to meeting the right lady that meets my needs. Unfortunately, I noticed that my area of the province doesn't have it's own category, hm. I'm not sure if areas are added very often, if because it's just logical that most SP's would work in larger urban areas I can definitely understand. But I'm sure if there was an area for Midwestern Ontario (Owen Sound, Collingwood, Kincardine, Wiarton or even for the Grey-Bruce-Simcoe counties) it might give people like me more of an idea of what's in the area. I'm not against travel, but I feel like getting an SP to travel over two hours away to me might not be plausible. So is this just a thing in Halifax or is this all over the country? I see so many ads listing "420 friendly" as though it's some kind of selling point. I can't speak for others, but this is seriously not a great marketing point with me, in fact it's totally the opposite. I don't want an SP who may or may not be smoking weed before, during, or after. I don't thanks. I don't feel like driving home and getting pulled over for the taillight that might happen to burn out at just the wrong time and then being interrogated because some cop smells your stank weed smoke on my clothes. Am I the only one irked by this? Just putting that in your ad eliminates you from consideration, it's hard enough as it is to sort out possible safe and decent companions, you're just making it harder doing this.

Why is it.. on the Cascade commercial.. 5, full-grown adults are standing around arguing over an alfredo pan (which, by the looks of the thing, has NOT had alfredo in it hehe)... when the *actual* dishes have yet to go in the dishwasher....? pointless really.. hehe *sigh* *aside from that, no person, with any decency, would criticise how their host chooses to do their dishes.... ;) (commercials in general.. seem to be the bane of my existence... an insult to the intelligence of an average four-year-old hehe)

I would NEVER check in with someone about booking an appointment. The only times I ever check in, is with someone I have built a rapport with and have express permission to contact them anytime and then it's only to say hello or to let them know I'm thinking of them. It's never to pressure or remind them for an appointment. If their actions at that point seem to indicate they are no longer interested or no longer want that communication, then I step back. There have been times I have wondered how they are or what happened to them but that is one of the downsides of this industry, it is no strings so even if there are feelings involved, you have to accept that it's done and move on.

For me it's my top floor condo overlooking the water... it's an elegant little hideaway I sometimes don't want to leave. I feel everyone needs that piece of personal space they can retreat to and shut the world out while they recharge their batteries for the next day's adventures...

Well... depends how much texting. SPs do have safety protocols and if it's just a quick "client arrived, not obviously a nut-job" text, then I'm OK with it (and a similar one at the end). Anything beyond that... no. Unacceptable.

Cell phones. People ignoring the person in front of them to answer a text. SPs texting at the start and end of your visit during the time you paid for. Make me feel special & I'll be back!

....typical of a lot of people...unfortunately, but...not only not serving my friend because she was seen 'parking' her shopping cart outside mcdix ...but hearing the staff telling her that she needs to leave unless she buys something....and all she had done was walk in...hadn't even got.to the counter.....f*ck! No accounting for ignorance.....so *I* went up ...hugged her.....bought her fries and had a great visit.... Just because someone may be dirty, doesn't mean they're garbage.....

If that's your experience then perhaps you are meeting the wrong providers. I know many who limit the number of clients, don't book back to back and allow time so they are not rushed. Who enjoy the time spent learning about someone and making the connection. If you are finding those who cannot remove their cell from the encounter, it may be time to adjust who and what you're looking for and do more research. It's sad that you question quality time.
