After working 26 as an RMT, I can't believe people still don't get the difference. When I started, I remember how cautious we had to be how we had to fight for the difference in terms (masseuse vs massage therapist). Massage was really poorly understood. We worked so hard to bring to the collective understanding what we were doing as a legitimate profession, on the same terms as Chiros, Osteos, Orthos, etc. I consider myself lucky that in my 26 years, I have had only 4 incidents, two phone call inappropriate requests and one on the table (when working on the beach in Venezuela in front of everybody (doh?!) to which I offered the gentlemen asking if he was gonna get extras, to stop there without charging since there seemed to have been a misunderstanding. He sheeplishly apologized admitting not knowing more than what he'd seen on TV (Venezuela) and asked if I could resume. He was absolutely calm and docile for the remainder and quite content at the end. The last incident can't be really counted. Still working on the beach (in a real kiosk with all my pro material). As the massage was almost finished without incident, while I was working on his ARM, his breathing suddenly changed and he O'ed right there! I step back taken by surprise, trying to figure out how to deal with the situation. He was as much terrified and confused as me. Thank God for bermudas... By not renewing my licence, I am not bound by these rules anymore nor do I have the benefits that come with it (receipts, professional recognition, etc.) I am free to do what I want with my professional skill as long as I do not advertise myself as an RMT. I have met lots of good providers on BP. There's plenty of good reasons why perfectly good providers choose to post their ads there. An obvious reason being they've never heard of Lyla. Before the laws changed, you used to see lots of providers who would advertise on both. You definitely have to watch out for scams, but I've used BP many times and never been scammed. I have experienced different scenarios at all the locations mentioned in the thread, even the popular ones mentioned: The MA will say, go in the shower and I will join you in a minute. But she did not return for about 5 minutes when I am about finished. Then when she returned, she said, Oh, you are about finished, lets go to the table. I think the timing was planned. Stay away from the "stick" varieties. They are unreliable and perform as you would expect from a sub 100 device. Good Android media devices in a form factor like an apple TV go for about $120C, look for a quad core with at least 2G ram and a recent 4.1 or better Android version. Add a wireless keyboard, mouse and a 50" display, configure Kodi, and start streaming. The advantage of the Android device is the open platform. Kodi, play store, etc. Plan on buying a new one in a couple of years. And be prepared to figure out how to reset the language the English when chineese characters start popping up on the screen. I have 2 TV's and last spring I cancelled my satellite TV and started streaming everything. Do a google search on "cut the cord" for a lot more information on this growing trend. Un-real the money saved in a few months. One TV is with the stick, which I did not properly investigate and paid more than I should have (bought at the Home Show), but also I've never had any issues with it. The other is MyGica (small unit with remote) which I paid around $180 and only had minor issues with it, sometimes the sound stops and I have to reboot it. It came pre-installed with Kodi and I manually added Showbox. I do not regret the purchase. I also installed an antenna in my living room window, for which I get the following channels in clear HD, CBC (French and English), Global, CTV and TVO. I'm able to get a few others but reception is poor. I could put the antenna in my attic to get the other channels but I see no need for it. I find that when I'm trying to stream free live TV with Kodi, quality can be so-so depending what is been broadcasted. Example trying to watch a major golf tournament or trying to watch CNN when there is major news as seen a few weeks ago, the feeds are busy and I get a lot of buffering or the feed just stops. No issue with Kodi when watching movies in HD, but lately I found that TV shows are not always available in HD. Not sure if I screwed up my Kodi configuration :-). So now I use Showbox and all the shows are available in HD. I also have Netflix which their Canadian programming is getting better. Been debating lately to subscribe to a streaming service to eliminate the buffering and receive international news and sports which I cannot see with my antenna. When I first started streaming my internet service was 6mbs download, it was working ok and saw buffering a few times. I changed from Bell to Teksavy and now have 15mbs download with 400GB limit per month and no issues. Do check what is your download speed and what is your cap per month with your provider. I find for myself I stream on average about 200GB per month and my limit is 400GB. But again I live alone and only surf and stream. Hope the above information helps. Since cancelling my satellite TV, I've had no regrets.

I am a big fan of getting messy with MA's. A shower is pretty much a must at the end because we are oh so sticky and, well, extra sticky... So it helps if the shower is in the room. It can take a lot of skill, my tips for providers: be really organized(keep soap bottle handy, opened, tuck wand under your arm when necessary for both hands to get soapy, etc.), install a shower wand(I even used to bring one to the hotels I would sometimes see clients at, such a geek, lol), be sure to tie your hair up, move slowly and steadily, and stay in control- save it for the table! I agree with most of what you say, but even though I don't get many massages like the ones we talk about here, I don't think it's fair to exclude everyone who doesn't have shower access from the "BEST MPs" category. I have always showered with clients at the start of each session and I have only ever been spritzed above the neck(with hair tied up) a few times by accident(me being in shower wand-control is key in avoiding this I have learned), with a handful of other occasions were just me losing control of myself not caring about getting my hair/makeup wet... Ah, the memories, lol! I think as long as the MP has a shower wand, is good at multi-tasking, and keeps a good handle on themself until the table(can be hard to do, lol) it is a great opportunity to share some nice face to face moments with someone. Unfortunately, some providers(mainly SPs) I have spoken to about this are simply unwilling or unable to provide this out of fear they will get drenched. I personally really relish the opportunity, especially with new clients. To have a bit of face-time before they're face-down on my table is awesome, and as a bonus being completely sure my client is sparkling clean and feeling fresh makes my sessions that much sexier! In-Room Showers are included in every session, with every attendant...at no extra cost at Vibe.

At CMJ and Vibe, they always join at the beginning of the session and at the end. I've only gone to ALO once and the attendant joined me for both also. At Angel, sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. But I've never been charged extra for a shower. And shower time is sometimes more fun then the massage session :) Usually they join you for the cleanup shower as they are also oily. So I can see that if they are busy, they would be taking a lot of showers if they had to take 2 for each client.

Actually, CMJ was the ONLY agency I have visited where this was included. Most of the others have had in-room showers available, but it was a "Take a quick shower and I will be right back" type of deal. The remaining few either had showers "down the hall" that were more for the attendants than the patrons, or were, sadly, absent. I believe Boomer is correct in his post when he says that "...all MAs are not willing to accommodate this option". If you think about it, how many times a day would they have to re-dry their hair (potentially damaging it), and completely replacing their makeup (that gets expensive). Now, playing Devil's Advocate, the attendants "touch up" their hair and makeup between appointments, but it is NOT the same as /replacing/ their makeup and having to dry/restyle their hair. For those reasons, unless the attendant /specifically/ states that she/he -includes- a shower for two as part and parcel to the agreed upon rates, then the attendant MOST DEFINITELY deserves to be tipped. The amount is between to two (or three, or four... lol) of you.

I love discussing desires, wants and needs prior. It gives me an idea of the gentleman and what he enjoys. Just because I know things beforehand doesn't mean that our date is scripted in ANY way but it's much easier to follow the flow of desire if I know that you might enjoy this or that and you're giving indications of wanting that as opposed to stopping in the middle to ask and then determine boundaries.
