I am not saying it is not possible, but it is a bit of a stretch in my mind. You haven't even specified that it is an STI. First step is contact the provider and lay it out. See what the provider says. Inform the spa if she is not indy to make sure they take precautions. She should get tested even if she thinks she is not the one who can pass on the medical issue. You have just put a chill through the whole community by posting this publicly, before trying to resolve the issue privately.

From the viewpoint of not only a MP/SPAM but also as a legitimate therapist of a number of.modalities...and as a person with a lot of years of medical background.....I have a few questions that came.to mind rather quickly... - how soon after seeing this person did you experience any symptoms...? - is it an 'actual' sti? (As in..has a doctor.told.you) - what type.of oils were used during the session? Most sti's take a number of days to show.symptoms A doctor run test also typically takes a few days for definitive results... And a number of things that can 'seem' like an sti....are simply a reaction to a product used...or an ingredient in them.....yeast infection and/or a uti being the most common body reaction...and neither is an sti :) I have also seen a number of your posts and you do seem to be a bit.more than slightly frightened of far too many things...even before they happen....can't be fun ;) Purrrhaps taking the advice of those others who have also commented...and stay well within your comfort.zone...an MP who stays clothed.... might be just the thing. .... Personal health is everybody's OWN responsibilities, and we all must be fully aware and informed on our statist on a currant bases!

Don't announce it here without 'beyond a reasonable doubt' proof. I would recommend immediately contacting the MA, not so sure about the agency unless she is still on schedule and hasn't replied to you.... Given the potential lack of symptoms for many STI's it is very challenging to be 100% certain where a problem may have been encountered. Good on you for regularly and frequently getting tested. You've already solved 1/2 the problem as certainly none of the ladies here will book an appointment with you any time soon. Hopefully the MA from whom you feel the problem arose is seeking the appropriate medical treatment that you are pursuing.... ... best of luck!

I think the answer depends on what the medical issue is. Although contacting MA if you are sure who is responsible seems to be a given to me. The spa should know as well. I would hope any other clients who could be affected would be contacted by the spa if possible. I would caution about public posting if some facts are at all in question. After working 26 as an RMT, I can't believe people still don't get the difference. When I started, I remember how cautious we had to be how we had to fight for the difference in terms (masseuse vs massage therapist). Massage was really poorly understood. We worked so hard to bring to the collective understanding what we were doing as a legitimate profession, on the same terms as Chiros, Osteos, Orthos, etc. I consider myself lucky that in my 26 years, I have had only 4 incidents, two phone call inappropriate requests and one on the table (when working on the beach in Venezuela in front of everybody (doh?!) to which I offered the gentlemen asking if he was gonna get extras, to stop there without charging since there seemed to have been a misunderstanding. He sheeplishly apologized admitting not knowing more than what he'd seen on TV (Venezuela) and asked if I could resume. He was absolutely calm and docile for the remainder and quite content at the end. The last incident can't be really counted. Still working on the beach (in a real kiosk with all my pro material). As the massage was almost finished without incident, while I was working on his ARM, his breathing suddenly changed and he O'ed right there! I step back taken by surprise, trying to figure out how to deal with the situation. He was as much terrified and confused as me. Thank God for bermudas... Turned out he was an American sailor, who had set foot on land earlier that afternoon for the first time in 6 months. LMAO But back to the issue here. In 2016? Really. People should know better. It surprises me that people ask me why I did not renew my licence. They do not understand that like doctors, attorneys, etc. we are held to probity in our personal lives. The deontology code does not stop at the end of the shift. I could not do RMT during the week and MA during the week-ends. I would be banned for life. We are strictly forbidden to even have a romantic relationship with our clients. A full year buffer is required from the termination of the professional relationship before a relationship with a former client is deemed acceptable. By not renewing my licence, I am not bound by these rules anymore nor do I have the benefits that come with it (receipts, professional recognition, etc.) I am free to do what I want with my professional skill as long as I do not advertise myself as an RMT. After 26 years, I wanted to explore other aspects of touch. I made that clean cut by respect for the profession I loved and fought for for 26 years. Licenced RMT (or professionals designated as "Massage therapists" on the Quebec side) should NEVER be asked or expected to do anything else than THERAPEUTIC massage.

Coconut oil is my favorite oil for massage. It stains and smells (unless you get it defragranced) but the texture is rich and provides a delightful micro stimulation to the proprioceptors. I also like to use it as lube: since I am allergic to latex I can use it if I use polyurethane condoms. Because of the delicate balance of the flora, glycerine and sugars are not recommended. It is often said that it traps bacteria that can cause infections. I have not experienced that but I regularly soak in Epsom Salts, which may have help avoid that issue. However, silicone gives me yeast infections... go figure! Although Aloe seems to get the thumbs up, I can't use it either as I am very allergic to it! As for the water-based lubes, they dry tacky so fast... The best lube i found so far is the Preseed lube, with hyaluronic acid recommanded for couples trying to conceive. Cost an arm and a leg but feels amazing. Just try not to break the condom... ;-)

Asking for services before booking a session is touchy... I personally, find it a little bit tacky. I have received massage training from a former RMT and they have always told me to keep both hands on the client. In some cases, I have sat down on a chair to massage the neck and head while the client is on the table but never with just one hand. I have very strong hands but have been told they have gotten stronger maybe because I've been working out with weights. I notice I no longer experience the strain on my hands that I used to when I began massage. Maybe their hands were just tired. I've experienced this in the past.

K everyone, I do not mean to answer every question, I am un- braiding my hair, and is loooooong process, so here I am ...lol for me, I need to have a salt bath to wash unwanted energy that may lingers on me.
