Well, there are only so many dance booths, so, especially in smaller clubs, it's not a terrible idea to limit the number of dancers working at a given time. No one wants to have to wait in line for a booth to open up to get a dance! I've worked in clubs that would cap the number of dancers on slower shifts, which was always appreciated since then the dancers working were more likely to all make at least some money. Plus many customers get a bit nervous when they walk in to a club that's void of customers but has a big pack of dancers just waiting for him to sit down so they can pounce. Around here the clubs make more money when more dancers are working (ie. they charge a set fee to work rather than taking a cut of each dancer's sales), so it doesn't really matter to them if the dancers make money or not. In fact, some slower shifts will see an excessive amount of dancers because the club is trying to make up for lower bar sales (due to less customers) with more stage fees (and possibly some bar sales due to bored dancers). tl;dr: no, the clubs here don't really limit the total number of dancers, though IMO it wouldn't be a bad idea if they did.

I'd guess that it was your general amiability and chattiness that led the peace officers to infer that you might be a staff member. As you noted, at least some patrons have a slightly less open and positive attitude when municipal employees arrive on the scene.

Don't worry... this is stressful if you're not used to it :) Put it in an envelope before you meet. When you arrive at the lady's incall, put it down somewhere in plain sight, or if she's visiting you, leave it somewhere very obvious and make sure her name is on the envelope. Do this as soon as you meet (OK, you can take off your shoes and coat first). Don't say anything about it. This could be a case of "your mileage may vary" depending on her texting conversations with you. Then again, I'm not a mind reader and only a proposed scenario. Some SPs may feel pressured for whatever reason but contradicts what she previously stated which can confuse a potential client. In my personal experience, when I state a restriction, it's something I won't do -period...even with regulars because I'm not into it. If asked at a later date, I tell them it's not my thing. They can either accept it or go see someone else. Boundaries are in place for a reason and money or losing a client is not a factor in changing my mind. No one should feel coerced into doing something they don't like. Im not saying this was happening in the OP's situation but saying no to a certain activity (provided it's not something detrimental to their health and safety), this can be harder for newer SPs to deal with. They may want to avoid the feeling of being uncomfortable after saying no. This could also be another factor. They may feel they are losing out on something which is simply not true or may fear some sort of negative feedback/fallout with men who write comments on review boards especially when they are trying to establish clientele. They also may be struggling and feel they can't afford to say no. That truly is a personal decision when placed in that position so I can't comment nor am I in a position to judge. Some new SPs can be impressionable not realizing that enforcing a restriction by stating "no" doesn't necessarily mean there will be a negative impact on her. And if someone does give an SP a hard time on those boards ( I've seen it happen) after she has said no and he feels it's his duty to make this known in a disparaging tone then that shows who they are. I once had a new client for massage and he said he wanted to take a shower with me. I have a rule where I will only shower with long term regulars. This is something I'm willing to offer at a later date when someone becomes a regular with me but I also have restrictions where it's the same for everyone where it's something I'm not willing to negotiate ever. I have my reasons for not showering with new clients and told this person upfront on the phone. I said if it was a deal breaker then it's best to find someone else because I wouldn't want to damper the mood. He still chose to visit me and it was one of the worst dates from hell. I had never walked away from an appointment feeling so mentally drained like I did that day. He complained about everything from the coconut oil I used, to the body wash I had for my clients in the shower and then tried to guilt trip me about not going in the shower. Being the experienced SP that I was, I remained professional but no matter what, he would still find something to complain about. What he should of done was found someone else when I told him it's probably best but on the phone, it didn't seem like it was the be all end all for him. Boy was I wrong! Had I choose to lift that restriction because he was whiny about it, I wouldn't be staying true to myself. My advice is if someone first says something isn't available then it's best to move on.

I suspect that asking directly and threatening a boycott if they give you the wrong answer will simply teach them to lie. It might be more effective to simply regret that there's so few <whatever> dancers to choose from - and you can do that for dancers of whatever ethnicity, body type, or other criteria you choose. Yes, but there's a limit to how many they can have, and if they have more people who want to work then it's in the club's interest to give preference to the dancers who will attract more customers. Of course, the set of dancers who will attract the most customers probably *isn't* a bunch of identikit thin blondes - I'd like to think we customers would prefer more variety than that. How accurately the club managers can get the right people working on any given night is open to speculation.

yes we do pay to work at a club we also have strict rules on schedules and such. You can compare us as hairdressers, we pay to rent a chair, here we pay to rent a champagne room like a salon , you wouldnt hire someone who s not good at their job or not representing you well right, even if they pay for the space. Dancer is the same, they don t just take any girls that just walks in .

Probably best way to help, as a client, is start mentioning to the managers that there aren't enough black girls at the club, and you prefer seeing a more diverse group etc. Least confrontational option and it will hopefully be taken seriously. Sadly I'm not in the best of positions to influence a change either (not running a club or working there myself) but maybe talking to other white dancers and asking for a bit of help here and there (can you give me a shift? Etc) and if any girls agree that the BGR is stupid, they can offer you the occasional shift... I mean, hopefully you'll be allowed in especially if no one else will take that slot.

Many SPs have had that happen. Myself included. That site will steal the ladies picture off backpage. It's the cost of doing business with backpage I suppose. Also that site that mentions that SPs are law enforcement is an American site. It's complete b.s.. It's a ruse to get you to visit dating sites when it says "click here". When you see that again, just ignore it but do your research to find out more and if the lady is in fact a legitimate and reputable provider and not just a scam.
