I'm not sure if many of you know about the particulars of strip clubs but many of them tend to have a Black Girl Rule. A Black Girl Rule is basically the cap they put on how many woman of colour are allowed to work in an establishment. ( usually 5) There is no white Girl Rule and that is made very clear. There's something about this Rule that makes me feel as if we're in the mid 1900's. I had called the club I normally work at and asked if I could come in early ( I start at 6 ) however there is a friend of mine on here that I wanted to see and could make it in at 2:00. I asked if I could come in early and the response was we're full and have no room for black girls. However, a "white girl" does not have to call in as they will never be too full. Why should I feel sad, guilty for being who I am ? It really hit me today. Racism sucks! What are your thoughts on this ? Shouldn't we all be equal? Welcome Victoria, you will love this site :-) There is a lot of informative information here, and a lot of witty fun. Best tip I could possibly offer is to never sell yourself short. Just because you may be 'new' to this,don't let that set your rates. Read other girls ads, check out websites and get a feel for what you are worth. Inquiries are great, but set standards as to how you want gentlemen to communicate with you. Whether that be calling, text, PM or email, you have the right to communicate in a fashion that works for you. Don't ever feel 'pushed' into receiving someone just because they asked to see you. Giving out location is the last thing that is given to any potential gentleman. I give them a general area that I am in, but not the actual address. Well, there are only so many dance booths, so, especially in smaller clubs, it's not a terrible idea to limit the number of dancers working at a given time. No one wants to have to wait in line for a booth to open up to get a dance! I've worked in clubs that would cap the number of dancers on slower shifts, which was always appreciated since then the dancers working were more likely to all make at least some money. Plus many customers get a bit nervous when they walk in to a club that's void of customers but has a big pack of dancers just waiting for him to sit down so they can pounce. Around here the clubs make more money when more dancers are working (ie. they charge a set fee to work rather than taking a cut of each dancer's sales), so it doesn't really matter to them if the dancers make money or not. In fact, some slower shifts will see an excessive amount of dancers because the club is trying to make up for lower bar sales (due to less customers) with more stage fees (and possibly some bar sales due to bored dancers). tl;dr: no, the clubs here don't really limit the total number of dancers, though IMO it wouldn't be a bad idea if they did.

I had gone in for lunch on Valentine's Day (above) and just as soon as my beer and plate arrived, 4 police officers came in. I have no idea what for, they didn't range around the place much further than the buffet. A couple of guys who hadn't ordered yet just got up and left. I've never understood that reaction. I took my plate over and started to fill it up from the buffet and a couple of the officers asked me about the food quality and variety. I gave honest answers and chatted with them as I would anyone else. They asked if I worked there. Is it a compliment that the police find you so comfortable in a place of business that they assume you work there? Anyway, they left soon after that and we few left went back to what we'd been doing before. Hey, I like cops! I'm glad to see them show up once in a while.
