As many of you know I have been " going into retirement" for quite sometime. I still do intend on doing so , However I have found to really be enjoying myself as well as I find this more of an escape from the everyday realities of life instead of more of a buisness endeavor. I'm not sure if this is something that comes along with more maturity with being in my 30' s and with a different mindset and motive then while advertising in my 20' s . I have noticed other women in this profession with intentions of retiring yet end up sticking around a little longer then they anticipate . For myself it' s not lack of buisness or to support anything undesirable . If anything quite the opposite . I have been so blessed as to have a fair amount of new friends and some awesome experiences and the time frame I gave myself didn't sync with the demand . I still do intend on retiring . My life right now has given me some spare time to enjoy myself a bit . I feel mabye more worried about sounding flakey mabye just given dates i set yet am still wanting to partake and have fun . Do any of the women here have anything they mabye can share experience wise or can relate or even some of the gentlemen can relate in thier professions that mabye they have enjoyed in thier years??? . I don't know lol Im just simply have alot of me time and this turned out to be something I'm really enjoying .

I have been a client of both Dancers and SPs. Twenty years ago, I definitely spent more time with Dancers than SPs. Ten years ago, it was probably close to a 50/50 split. In the last 5+ years, I have gone to a Club twice, so way more with SPs. As a trend, males are drifting away from Dancers and more towards SPs. I think there are a few contributing factors for this: 1- The World Wide Web. It has made SPs easier to find. As the web grew in popularity, so did sites offering SPs. 2- As a whole/in general, being and interacting with SPs has and is slowly becoming more and more acceptable. (not in law but in society) 3- Going to a Club and paying an inflated price for whatever it is you drink while watching beautiful women and being wonderfully teased is fun. Going on the web and searching for an SP of your liking, being alone with them and enjoying each others company and being pl**sed is better. I am not a professional in these fields, nor have I surveyed the public to find any results. The reasons I posted above are from simply communicating with friends and my personal behaviour which has drifted from Dancers to SPs over time.

the worst is getting the cancel call at the time the client was going to be calling for address or as the 5 minutes away call as a heads up. there is no way i believe that they didn't know long before then that they weren't coming. even if they got delayed and later figure that they weren't going to make it, why not call the second they get delayed to reschedule or let me know. it's hard not to believe it is just a game play to wait until they should be calling to say they are parking or that they are at the intersection where i give out the address.. those of us who do not double book are telling other callers to check back later, and we are holding/blocking out that time for them specifically, and could have been seeing other legit callers.

when I first posted this thread it had been a frustrating 2 weeks, now that has turned into a very frustrating 3 months. The amount of no shows, cancellations at the last minute (or worse, canceling AFTER the appointed time is here) is on an overwhelming uprise. Do guys consider this something that is ok to do? I just had the same guy cancel twice on me in the same week, once with zero notice and the second with less than 10 minutes notice. He cited 'last minute doctors appointments'. Since when do doctors see you 'last minute', at night, unless you have something deadly or you are on your deathbed? As much as I love to provide this entertainment, I think the guys get entertainment out of just making the appointments with zero intention of showing up. I am so thankful that I have an actual job, because if I had to rely on providing for any reason, I would be bankrupt. We girls take a lot of care to please you, and make sacrifices to accommodate your schedules. Last night I missed my friends birthday party because of some douche bag that decided to cancel without a thought of where this would leave me. I never used to enforce my cancellation policy to the degree that I do now. It is an inconvenience when I have to turn my schedule around to do this for someone who just doesn't care. Screening just got turned up a notch also. Be considerate when you MUST cancel, give the person as much notice as possible, and at least make the excuse something real. I have never been late for an appointment, but I had to cancel once when I was involved in a car accident and I showed video of what was happening to the client. He paid my hotel bill for the inconvenience of me having to stay an extra two days for the investigation of why someone hit my car.

Another quiet Friday afternoon at Barefax for two consecutive weeks. Not sure what is happening but usually Fridays are the best day of the week in this bar. About two dozen ladies (usual Barefax ladies plus a few new faces from Toronto and Montreal) but about a dozen or so patrons between 4 to 5 pm. It was heartbreaking to see so many ladies not making money so I left soon after 5. However, I admire the bar because they continued to have stage dances one after another without any break even though there were only few patrons left at 5. Remember these ladies have to pay for the bar fee and some are coming from other cities so they have to also pay for transportation and rent and they come to work in order to see you gentlemen and give you pleasure by their beautiful looks and kind personalities. So please come and support the ladies who are there to give you pleasure and also please support the bars (all of them) or they will be forced to close down as few have done so past decade. Anyhow usually Fridays is a party environment at Barefax and the best food you can get in town (roast beef, salad, roast potato .....) and you can get the buffet twice (at noon until 2 pm and again between 4:30 yo 6 pm) and all for free. Also at Barefax the CR is most private compare to other bars in the city of Ottawa so dances are really private unlike other Ottawa bars (by private I don't mean necessarily more mileage as I don't know as I said in the other thread I only take regular dances but dances are private in terms of haviing privacy while taking dances at Barefax). In addition the ladies are nice and beautiful and relatively young as well. I don't recommend Saturdays as very few ladies work on Saturdays but definitely Fridays.

There are any number of reasons why a lady in this profession may choose to retire just like any occupation. But just like any other occupation if you enjoy what you are doing and and have the free time to do it then why not continue even in a part time or limited role? I know lots of people who have retired from doing their chosen profession full time but still work part time because they love what they do and still have the spare time and energy to. I mean, unless you are getting into a committed relationship I assume you are going to date in your personal life. Why not continue to "date" a few select gentlemen you enjoy the company of. If you happen to make a few extra bucks in the process then it's a win-win.

C-36 The new law is not very complicated. What is illegal is (1)purchasing sex or (2)searching information of sexual acts with "intent" of purchase. *The "intent" is when that SP shows up at your location or when you show up at their location. "Only" with having prior communication of doing sexual acts for the exchange of money. -An SP using acronyms in their ad is not illegal. "Doing" the act they advertise in their ad for the exchange of money IS illegal. Therefore: -If an SP has an ad with "illegal acts", meaning: if they perform those actions in exchange for money: It is not illegal to contact them or to visit them "Unless" prior communication with that SP involved the discussion of sexual acts for the exchange of money. "THIS CONFIRMS INTENT" -An exchange of texts with an SP using acronyms and money values (or phone recordings containing conversation with an SP discussing sexual acts for money) is only illegal once they show up at your location or vice-versa. "THIS CONFIRMS INTENT" So, even if you are going to see an SP you haven't seen before, view the info on their ad. Do not discuss sexual acts with them "in any way", prior to meeting up with them. "Unless that SP is a police officer" or "that the punter is a police officer" you will be safe to discuss matters once you are both behind closed doors. It's not to say that police won't make arrests without the above illegal acts being done. However, in court, the above is what is necessary for a conviction.

There are multiple reasons as why strip bars have changed for worse past 15 years or so. One of them very well explained by our friend WhereIRoam above and that is the ease to find SPs (and yes they as said it is more acceptable by the society these days) because of internet. But in my view other factors play a role as well. 1-The price of private dance in Ottawa went u overnight in 2001 from $10 to $20. Yes contact dancing ($20) is more fun but that filtered our many based on affordability and made SPs much more competitive (price of which btw remains around $200 past 20 years (in Ottawa). 2-The ban on smoking in the bars in 2006 or so as much as I personally loved it but it drove away large number of smoker patrons. 3-The removal of privacy of dances in 2008 (by City of Ottawa) while dance price remained the same however privacy disappeared. Some like Barbarellas took this to extreme and changed their CR to a totally open concept CR and some others . I was expecting that with new laws at the end of 2014 on seeing SPs then strip bars will be back to the busy days of early century but to my surprise it did not happen as many patrons stayed with their hobby since they had already tasted the forbidden fruit and we all know once you do it is very difficult to quit.
