First and foremost, the rate she is advertising now is what should be put in the envelope without any conversation. It doesn't matter what others pay, paying her posted fee is the ethical thing to do. Contacting her to discuss why she discounted her rate to others without knowing her or the situation is beyond inappropriate. She is not obligated to explain her business to anyone but CRA and her bank. Many providers start out in the industry not understanding how to set their prices or fall prey to the organized price vultures that descend on new providers telling them their rates are too high for someone new/safe/young/old/purple or whatever issue the troll behind the keyboard identifies as a potential weakness. When I started in Ottawa, I received a huge number of emails from seemingly different people demanding I give them a discount for various reasons. Some days, those emails made up well over 50% of my inquires and it went on for several months. They assumed I was new to the industry because I came from the US. Later, I discovered there were actually only 6 men behind this email campaign. It was their mission to get me to lower my rates. A new provider will often fall prey to such tactics and sometimes even established providers can as well. Grandfathered rates are the norm in the industry so that could be a factor. The other potential is a financial crisis in her life where she needed to generate funds quicker than usual. She may not have advertised a lower rate but if she felt a client wasn't going to book without a deal, she would do what she needed to do to ensure the cash flow. The thing to remember is that while the reviewers may have enjoyed themselves, there were aspects of the appointment she stripped out that they were simply to obtuse to notice. The one thing that goes thru every providers mind when she is servicing a haggler is a visceral distain within that ranges from mildly annoyed to grossly repulsed. The emotion fills us and stays present not only during the entire appointment but for ever after with a client. Every time he contacts us, that emotion wells up and sits present during every aspect of future encounters. It never goes away and while she may be tolerant because he is a safe, reliable client; the initial haggle leaves a permanent bitter taste in her mouth that out sours a mouthful of spermacidal lubricant. My gentle suggestion would be to simply ignore what others have said about her rates. If her service is positively reviewed, pay the rate on her ad and enjoy. The more clients she gets like you, the faster she can fire the ones who either took advantage of her or treats the intimate services she provides like a commodity. Speaking as someone who has done both sides of services, I think I can shed some light. First, in a commercial setting, there is a big difference in the atmosphere. If what she charges her clients bothers you that much- then yes, walk away. No one needs someone messaging them because they have issues with how someone else does business, just move along. Also, as sad as it is, some guys lie all the time, about everything. I got my very first reco yesterday. You should have seen the smile on my face, I was teeming. In an industry that is so cut throat, and over saturated, having someone recommend you sets you up above the rest. Being fairly new to this industry, and having a reco after a month of very hard work, it feels good. I never thought that I would get one, I figured I would be bottom feeding for the rest of my career. It's nice to have your work be noticed. It gives the gentlemen who viewed me as a -maybe- a chance to have a second thought and an idea of what time spent with me is really like.

I have received comments from the ladies (MA/SP) that it does help them. Yes a little bit of it is saying hey "we did this" (fictionally of course), but it does help them prove they are real. A reco or two (3 tops!) per poster is nice, more than that I think get's shilly. Also the thing to consider about posting is that there are many lurkers out there. While they don't post, I believe we who do post, they use those recommendations, at least to some extent, and it provides some business to the ladies. That's my feeling anyway.

Keeping an SP to yourself costs her business, which by that jump, could lead her out of the industry- so unless you're prepared to cover the cost of that lost business, maybe you shouldn't keep her to yourself less you never see her again. :-/ I don't get how they don't understand that... the better off business-wise your SP is, the more fun you're gonna have. :-/

I think the official policy here is that recos are works of fiction, as far as the law is concerned :) And I think that the reason there are fewer recos is that there are fewer people hanging out here generally. I'd actually noticed a significant uptick over the last six months or so, at least in Ottawa. And to get back to the original point of this thread: I think they're very much worthwhile. I use them myself when deciding who I might like to meet, and if I have a good time, I write them for others.

I do understand the emotion behind that, but it's not realistic. I want the ladies I see who take me to heaven to do very well and stay in the business. I want them to make good money and see them succeed in their business and in life. The emotion that we all naturally feel is jealousy and Shakespeare said it best in Othello: Jealousy is natural to feel yet irrational in this situation and destructive always. A gentleman must overrule this base instinct with higher reasoning and act accordingly, but not all clients have that level of self-awareness.

If a gentleman enjoys his time with me (MA service, at the spa | or SP service outcall) I welcome a recommendation. It does help to be recogized and appreciated by gentleman. They make me feel recongized as I enjoy my work a lot. Gentleman shouldn't be scared to review anyone, whether if they are a different colour, size, shape, etc., we all need to embrace everyones beauty and not feel ashamed to say they visited someone they had a really amazing time with, that is different and unquie. Sometimes, I feel this is true for many of us ladies and the gentleman on this board.
