In all fairness to Lycrathong, it was these comments that were made that had me react. They are from another member. This thread may have gone off topic, but these remarks concerned me. It may make some feel uncomfortable, but it needs to be addressed. 'Well I apologize if I offended anyone. Sure enough though, along came someone knowing this, and asked me to preform a reverse body slide during our session. I was awkward to say the very least. Before I knew it, he tried to hold me in place and take advantage. There have been other events, but that one stands out the most in predatory behavior. It's unfortunate, but does exist. Since I do come from a time before the new definitions were put in place, I would describe my session as the standard. I had never heard of a Hybrid MA until this past year. My understanding of Hybrid MA is that more may be offered, but not to be expected. The question was for an MA offers xxxx. Shouldn't a provider at least have the opportunity to make this decision in person? What if oral health is not up to standard? Is she still expected to provide this service, because she consented beforehand? Will he give a reference? If a name is mentioned in a public thread, will others now expect this? There is so much to consider for the provider to ensure her health and well being. I may be old fashioned, but whatever happened to meeting someone first, respect her guidelines, and then to inquire if she's open to more for the next visit? It's a little extra effort, but isn't it worth it in the long run? Many thanks to the gentleman that have contributed to this delicate subject. It takes courage to take a stand to what others may brush under the rug.

I really appreciate some of the comments by the ladies in this thread. I might be a "semi good guy" maybe. I've always stayed within the boundaries during my encounters with sex workers when they've been clearly defined. That's a given and strive to find out what the boundaries are before engaging. I think what is being said is that we as women who are MAs or SPs should not have to tolerate the blatant crossing of our boundaries or non consensual acts made upon us just to please a client and give him a good experience. If we are giving you the impression that we don't enjoy our work and it's all about the money by stating we won't tolerate non consensual acts, there's something wrong. With you, not us. I would never provide services that cross my VERY clear boundaries just because there's a connection with a regular. None of us should be worried about our income for being strong women with values and set boundaries. This board is not only for potential clients, it's for the women those clients may see too. Equating our restrictions and refusal to allow men to break them with losing business is disgusting on your part.

Caterina, the spirit of your post is very well said and your points absolutely valid, but in Lycrathong's defense I don't think he personally argued or even meant to imply a woman's absolute right to her body or her restrictions should be compromised for the sake of business. There seemed to be a number of conversations going on, and I believe he was responding to a couple sentences in one specific post. Whether that poster meant to imply enjoyment played no part and it is only about the money I don't want to theorize about, as I don't mean to distract things from what is a worthwhile conversation. There is a very important discussion happening here, but I think some comments and posters are perhaps getting crossed, and to be fair to Lycrathrong I don't think it was any of his posts that implied doing anything without prior and explicit consent. More generally: This thread started with one quarry and evolved into something more. I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing, as there are issues ladies face on a daily basis that--as much as us guys may wish to think otherwise--we can be blind to. When so many people speak up about an issue it's worth taking a step back from what your gut response might be and try to listen to the intent of the argument and the experiences being shared. As hard as it can be not to feel defensive or attacked, one can try to understand the frustration women are feeling and rightfully expressing. Self reflection and consideration of these kind of issues is important, especially for those of us that take part in this. Hopefully we can keep listening to each other with empathy, to really hear and try to appreciate the experiences and frustration being shared. And to do better.

There are names/titles currently being used among clients in this industry which are rarely being used by MAs. A so called line is no longer drawn between SPs and MAs, this is now a thing of the past. This old line is now drawn somewhere in the middle of Hybrid MAs. There are SPs, Hybrid MAs and MAs. Generally, the wider variety of services offered to the least are in this same order. Although there are a few Hybrid MAs who offer a handful of more options than any SP I have ever met. Times have changed. Just as always, between every provider and client boundaries need to be clearly stated/defined and respected.

I think Dave's suggestion is aimed uniquely at new or unknown providers who have no web presence, reviews etc and where Google searchs of photos and phone numbers either come up empty or are inconclusive. The proverbial ''diamond in the rough'' does exist on Lyla and this rare and legit breed would do well to prove their identity in one way or another. Many clients will not risk a trip to an unknown provider who can not prove her identity, which means that even those who are legit in real life will be mostly ignored until they acquire a reputation tooth and nail. So the suggestion about running out for a newspaper on a daily basis may be too time-consuming, but the tried and true selfie method is an easier alternative. The provider writes her current location, name and phone number on a piece of paper held in front of her and takes her picture and posts it on BP. With this information posted, at least you know that the pictures and physical description are legit. If the client wants to find out more about the provider, he can always speak to her on the phone, which can give some feel for the type of service and personality of the provider. Not having unlimited time or money, I prefer to go with providers who have a presence on the internet including twitter, their own website or a profile on a reputable site like Lyla. Those that have excellent reviews on Lyla, a detailed profile as well as a decent website get 5 stars and are as close as you can get to a sure thing as you can get in this crazy world. I rarely go for someone who doesn't have a glowing review. My personal experience has led me to avoid BP except for known providers who have a web presence, reviews or other means to provide credibility about their identity, description, type of service and personality. Without that kind of basic information a client is flying blind and would as well throw his money out the window as drive out to a dive on Montreal Road. My hunch is that some men would rather pick through the wasteland that BP has mostly become in search of that rare and elusive diamond. For the others, I believe the saying is: ''Never give a sucker an even break!''... or is it ''BBB: Bullshit Baffles Brains''.. or is it ''Never Act solely with your Little Brain -- You know, the one with one eye!'' There are several different categories of false, misleading or questionable ads that proliferate like weeds on BP, each in their own ugly patch: 1. There are providers who have not updated their photos or description for three or more years, so their information is unreliable at best. 2. There are many others who are fraudulently using photos of well known and stunning escorts, cam models, actrices or porn stars and yet they have the gall to say their photos as 1000% accurate and whine about time-wasters and cheap-skates. 3. Others work for disreputable ''non-agencies'', share similar phone numbers and often engage in documented B&S fraud. 4. Almost all repeat ads for asian providers have proven time and time again to use phony pictures and cite 20'some ages for providers who are 10-15 years older and as many pounds heavier in real life. 5. There are providers who change their names and phone numbers so frequently it is next to near impossible to authenticate them. 6. There are also some names that seem to be especially popular on BP, it is hard to tell one Chloe or Tiffany from another, especially when a name is chosen because there has been a recent positive recommendation for a legitimate provider with that same name. 7. And there are a large number of providers who have advertised on BP daily since the French first discovered Upper Canada and for whom there has never been a review or they have had reviews that have wailed about their lacklustre service etc. 8. Others have concurrent ads in Ottawa, Brisbane, Pretoria, Paris and Timbuctoo (OK I'm exaggerating!) 9. Bla bla Bla 10. More BS. Yeah I have a list of 10!

I don't see a need too in my opinion. I work hard to keep my site, my twitter and my ads recent and accurate. I am not hunting down a paper to take a selfie with it daily. That is just too much. My opinion is, if you are that concerned, move on to another lady. I want my clients to feel comfortable, but I will only go so far. Some of that responsibility is on the client. Do tin-eye and google image searches, read reviews, etc. I put in my time and effort as much as I can, and I hope you do as well. I am actually very impressed and attracted to men who take the time to read my site and my ads. It shows me the appreciation for my efforts and I like that. Those guys are the ones who get the extra attention from me. I have to agree with Mature Angela. There are comments in this thread that have me thinking me on a consensual level. I would like to add my thoughts as an MA. Services do vary with different providers and these questions should be asked beforehand. Once they have been discussed, they should always be respected. There is no debate to be had on this subject. I did have a non consensual experience while doing a reverse body slide when I first started, even though I outlined my limitations before meeting. This applies in person as well and never to be assumed. It's a violation I have not forgotten. You never know how it can affect someone if you just take your "chances".

When someone tries to get extra service in a massage that I don't offer I immediately think this person is trying to get more service for less donation. There is no muddy water here. You have chosen one experience and you know exactly what you are receiving . Luckily for me most clients are respectful. Those who come for massage usually want the luxury of laying back and being pampered, that's why they choose this service.
