5$ what price gougers!!! Imagine we actually expected to not pay fees to go work like literally every other job, and be actually paid a wage or at least tipped for dancing naked or chatting with you all day !!! We Strippers are just so greedy ... ;) (The garters are ones and fives, under my chest is the 100's, all tips, in January in the U.S. and thats just from the stage ;) ) Then people wonder why all the quality goes to other Canadian cities ( like Toronto where the clubs charge 10$ for VIP or Vancouver where it's 20$) the U.S. like hmm I can deal with guys crying about 5$ in Ottawa, or go to Vancouver where its 25$ a dance minimum 3 songs or the US and get 20's stuck in my garter on stage because a guy likes my ass... I stopped dancing in Ottawa because I'm tired of the complaining, like I pay high fees to go to work, WHERE I DON'T GET PAID A WAGE then I have to deal with some guy who expects me to hang out with him for 30 mins while he talks about how much free pussy he gets and he really doesn't need to be here or the hot stripper he used to date/hang out with/fuck in the 90's so he knows what my job is really like, asking me what my "real" job/name/age is , all to expect me to then pay the 5$ for his good time that I'm providing? LOL seriously... All the free stage shows you watch and don't even bother to clap, let alone *GASPS* actually throw a tip, there's your 5$ worth. Consider it money well spent.. I'm not trying to be bitchy,simply stating facts... I'm a business woman and I dance to get paid so I can pay my bills. Support the art, or don't participate...

Sorry still don't agree. If XYZ company does not charge the same as ABC company the punter has a choice as to which business he will give his custom. Perhaps this particular club is not meeting it's expenses what with the free buffet lunches ando inexpensive libations and therefore found a way to perhaps make it a viable business.if 5 bucks is a deal breaker well.... With all due respect, I don't think that's what most people are suggesting. It's certainly not what I said. When I go to a club, I fully expect to spend and it is a luxury that I enjoy. I previously stated that I don't care about the $5. I am generous and tip, so that's not the point. Your frustrations about customers are valid, I just don't see how they fit this conversation about a silly tax that does not go to the dancer. The $5 is insignificant but they've made it an issue by associating it with something the customer doesn't value; a song counter. It would be like Costco charging me $5 at the door for the person that checks my receipt. It doesn't serve anyone and it's not enough money To Significantly change the club's business model. If you want to suggest higher per song rates, higher drink rates, I'd be okay with all of that because it is a luxury to me. Dances and drinks are things I value. To Meg's point, of course they can make any decision they want. That doesn't make it a good decision . I run a business and while it's not a strip club, I certainly don't go out of my way to highlight administrative tasks, create negative experiences for insignificant amounts of money, then yell at my customers for being cheap and tell them I can do whatever I want because I'm the owner. If they want to draw better dancers, then charge more per song and get them paid. If they want to renovate the club and create an upscale club, then add an extra$2 per drink and increase cover charges. They need to figure out what they are trying to accomplish.

I have had at least two clients here in Halifax that was robbed or ripped at the door. He promptly called the cops and they were arrested both times. As long as you are going for a massage and spending time you are fine. the cops are way more interested in catching scammers than bothering sticking their noses into to " clients" affairs. If everyone called the police these scams would at least subside. Right now things seem to be at a all time high.

I shall be very unpopular for this post but here it goes. Going to a strip club is a luxury not a necessity.. if you can't afford it or do not like the service/cost, then just don't go! A business owner has the right to charge an amount that they see fit in order to make a decent profit at the end of the day. Mind you as a customer you have every right to complain but don't be too upset if the business owner does not cave

It is human nature to complain about changes that we don't like. Nonetheless, I am sure we all have things to be thankful for. As customers, we should be thankful there are several good clubs in the Ottawa/Gatineau area, the price of private dances has been the same for at least the last 15 years, and we have the freedom and the financial ability to choose to go the clubs we prefer. Owners who run their club well will make good profit, for which they should be thankful. Dancing is a tough way to make a living for sure! But compared to a lot of other jobs, it can provide decent money, it provides tremendous flexibility of schedule, and it is one of the few jobs where it is quite acceptable to consume alcohol while working. As for me, if I feel like going to Barefax I am not going to be deterred by the $5 upstairs fee. What matters is how much I enjoy the club.

Again stopped by the PM club on a Friday afternoon (2/2). The atmosphere was considerably more subdued than a week ago - not really dead but quite a contrast to last week. Probably 6-8 patrons present at around 2:45. Moderate traffic to the CR during the the time I was present. Ashley, Candy, Mia, Adora, Delicious, Lana, Sarah and possibly Riley(?) were present along with a few others not known to me.

To each their own of course, but I'm the opposite. My favourite encounters are those where it's clear the lady is getting just as much enjoyment and is as engaged as I am.
