Just realized today that I had passed my 8 year anniversary on Cerb/Lyla a few days ago. This all started out of curiousity. When I found this site I just spent my time reading all the reviews and interesting threads. After a few months I finally got the nerve to have my first SP experience. I agree 100% with your statement in principle. Unfortunately in practice there is a fast growing dark criminal element of our society that is jeopardizing the safety, credibility and image of legitimate independent escorts and hobbyists. I don't know statistics however I can tell you that human trafficking is real and it's happening with greater frequency in small towns in Eastern Ontario as well as the larger urban centers. EC has never had an encryption cert and never had any issues, just recently the browsers give you those silly warnings. Sure for banking or sites that use credit card etc... that is a concern but just use a unique password on it and your fine, you do not need to enter any personal info or anything that would be considered high risk (or even risky) if the ad was compromised... worst thing is they could change your ad on you and what hacker who has the knowledge to do this would be interested in such a thing?

IMO, the removal of Backpage will only drive said issues more underground, making it more difficult to keep taps on. IMO, what I find more sad is trafficking now being driven further underground and how worse it will become for those who will be trafficked in the future, underage or not. Only decriminalizing the industry will lessen human trafficking and those underage.
