For the record, I am not offended by the TOFTT reference but as a hobbists I may have been slightly offended that someone wants to be funded for what you guys have been doing here for each other for years now. The problem with the review boards is that the people on them are... people. And people are often assholes. This is especially true when they can hide behind pseudonyms, and believe that their horrible behaviour can't or won't have consequences on their lives. This isn't by any means unique to review boards. Look at the nastier ends of Twitter, or Reddit, where things can get just as bad. If that doesn't convince you, hang out on 4chan for a bit.

There's tons of fake ads on leolist.cc Some are easily spotted by the lack of a phone number, others are harder to detect. Can I suggest everyone click the "Report Ad" button when you spot an ad that's clearly a fake. I've also emailed leolist and recommended they require a phone number for each ad and verify that number via call/sms before ads can be posted. I encourage everyone to email them too and either echo my suggestion or make your own suggestion. Leolist is great but we need to get rid of those fake ads.

I've never published a phone number. I've always used email for contact then once I've met a guest and we've developed a mutual trust, I give him my number. The frustration resulting from choosing to deal with the underbelly of the industry is understandable. What I think needs to be pointed out is a telephone number is in no way indicative of a providers legitimacy. Paid apps have ensured this as providers well know from the struggle of trying to verify legitimate clients. Some tips that help in sorting out legitimate providers are... 1. Only use providers who have a website. Obviously they are legitimate if they've invested the time and money to create a source of information specifically for clients. 2. Google the provider in question. If nothing comes up, pretty good chance it's not real. 3. Tin eye the pictures. It will clearly indicate whether or not the pictures are in fact her. 4. Support the legitimate platforms that have a trusted history. Ads on platforms like Escorts Canada and Lyla dwindled because clients flocked to sites that allowed scam providers to flourish. 5. Be willing to do your research when choosing a provider. It really isn't that hard... smiles, cat

There seems to have been a massive influx of fake ad/fake pics since girls (or guys behind the fake ads) moved from Backpage to Leolist. Numerous ads list "Cape Breton/Sydney" as the location - stay away from those for sure. Look for girls with verified pics on Leolist (although, that isn't a sure fire guarantee the pics are not fake) or check Lyla for reviews/threads for the provider. In other words.....SHOP!!! There are lots and lots of girls with real pics. Literally, don't go see a provider until you have done some research and are pretty sure your choice is a good one. Here is a quick check list for you..... 1. First thing - right click on the pic in question and "save as" - then google "Tinyeye" and go to that site. Enter the pic you just saved on that site and see what results pop up. The only results should be from the site they are advertising on. 2. If the ad states the location as Cape Breton, Truro or multi areas all at once.....it's probably fake. 3. Look to see how many views the ad has. If it has under 50 views, it's a new ad. Wait a bit to see if that provider posts again (and the views go up). A lot of fake ads are one-time shot deals - the ad pops up once or twice and you never see it again. Most REAL providers work a few days a week or a month - rarely does a provider just work one time only lol 4. Avoid ads that say "Party Friendly". These are providers who like the coco and they are usually flakey as hell. 5. Avoid any ads that list the hourly rate under $170-180. If you see a provider offering an hour for $100 or something - it's probably fake, and if not, do you really want to see a "$100/hr" provider??? Yikes. 6. Just use your head - if a provider looks like a super model - it's probably pics of an actual super model. Let's be honest here - there are a handful of providers locally who have amazing bodies; if a provider appears to have a hotter body than the aforementioned Addictive Barbie, Ms. Manda, Emily Wilson (and her friend) or some of the ladies that come down from Quebec, chances are they are fake pics. In other words, if a provider looks too good to be true, she probably is. :)

From a political standpoint they are accomplishing lots. The idea of saving trafficed kids (as well as saving regular sps from themselves) carries a lot of sway with the Christian fundamentalist right, which is the segment that got and keeps this government in power. Whether or not they are doing any actual good ( or actually even causing harm) is irrelevant to them. It's all optics.

You may see a website as ineffective advertising, but I think it does a whole lot more. It's not just a marketing tool, it's also a screening tool. If you direct your traffic to your detailed website and a prospective client is asking questions that you have already answered on your site, is this a person you really want as a client? I know from discussions with a couple of ladies that most of these type of questions are guys who get their rocks off by wasting your time. They just want the attention. One lady I know will not even respond to such messages and automatically blacklists their number. The website will also provide a constant online presence in the event another advertising source faces demise. At least your regular clients will know that you're still active.

I recently found out that since 2015 anothet Kingston sp had been writing false, very negative reviews about other Kingston permanents, especially myself. They were banned from the specific review site, but it really created a terrible reputation of myself that I couldn't understand because the things written were absolutely not true. Hobbiests were replying to her threads thanking the fake profile for saving them from me because they had been interested in seeing me. This is why I think that Lylas policies and rules are very important. It is so easy for other sps or someone with a grudge to ruin one's reputation by writing lies and malicious comments.
