Scammers were paying 5$ to 7$ an ad a day on BP, why they would go away when the ad cost only 3$? I really doubt it will happen. I read that some have written emails to Leolist and never got a reply from them. I did the same to change my login email, they never replied and there's no way to change your contact information (login). It is a basic function on a website and they don't bother helping you. As someone said earlier « If anything, they are the ones who must prove themselves to me, not the other way around. » And for also other reasons, they didn't prove themselves to me yet. So I am not ready to invest time and money with them.

Quite a lot of providers don't seem to know about Lyla. We also make an effort to get rid of the fakes and the scammers, which is a deterrent for some of the people posting ads on the successors to BP. Having said that, there do seem to be quite a few new arrivals since BP shut down... hopefully they'll stay! Another factor is that Lyla is fairly Ottawa-centric, with a good bit of East Coast activity... but other cities and regions are more strongly represented on other boards and so providers may choose to advertise there. Finally: there are quite a few well-established providers who are members here and simply don't advertise much; they may post an ad now and again, but don't do so regularly. That probably means they have sufficient business from other sources.
