I have to disagree. Halifax has dozens and dozens of wonderful providers. I've also not had a great deal of difficultly finding providers when I am looking for someone new. There are fake ads but there are fake ads for every city, there's also local scammers but there's scammers everywhere. Doubtless a city like Montreal or Toronto has more providers but Halifax has plenty of very good providers. Christmas time does bring out a few more scammers and short-term workers looking to pay Christmas bills but overall I think Halifax is not that different from other cities. We also have a higher ratio of independent workers vs those working with a service, I prefer independent myself as it's easier to form a relationship and 100% of the money goes to the lady. Lyla has room for improvement (lots of room) but there's useful recommendations of many many of the providers on leolist so I find it very useful myself. Also I routinely go over to Windmill Road area as I have friends in the area but looking at the street workers there....yama hama. There's ages and shapes for every taste but the ladies all look tired and forlorn not attractive and who knows about STI's and other issues.

Wow. Pretty angry post. Yes, it sucks getting ripped off. There is in fact a great scene here but yes, you absolutely have to do your homework. The onus is on you, not the rest of us to make sure it doesn't happen to you. If you are going to blindly call the number from the first ad you see on LL without researching it at all, then... well ... a fool and his money.... This site is a good tool, but it is only one of many. Google image search, googling her name, googling phone numbers, looking at other sources,...All very useful. Taking a stroll on Windmill Rd?.... Well certainly not my cup a tea. Dangerous for a number of different reasons. No thanks! You can have it.

Wow. Second post, and you declare that marginalized street workers are a better option? You do realize that your chances of being robbed or arrested are almost at 100%? Public solicitation is still 100% illegal. So if your thing is a $20 blow job in a car, down a back alley, go for it. If however you prefer quality time in a quality atmosphere, look at the many recommendations of providers in Halifax. I suspect we will be seeing your name AND picture in the next local sting. Additional thoughts . Sometimes when a lady changes her name she has a good personal reason. Perhaps she was outed, harassed or stocked . Also she could feel her name doesn't suit her anymore. I used to think of giving myself a second name but couldn't think of one .

A few years back, the wonderful Nathalie L started a thread here entitled " Blog Updates - Post Yours Here" with posts as recent as this past February. I Had the pleasure of meeting Katherine today!! I cantacted her first on lyla, then by a phone call. I find the same thing lately too. Tin eye used to be my go to, but it rarely gives me any results these days. For those who haven't used google for this, simply right click on an image and click "search google for image". (Works with Chrome anyway. Not sure about the other browsers.) Super easy and effective.

Agree! This plus -- - the ability to search a recommendation in alphabetical order - the ability to make a comment under someone's post without having to write a new post ( and quoting that post). I understand these issues have been brought up many times previously. Hopefully, the mod hasn't given up on these and other improvements.

There was a time when a lady's name belonged to her for many years or until her career ended. No copyrights , no fights or squabbles . I and many ladies have had the same name for years . We have created out own brand so really, why change it unless someone compromised us in some way. If you run a business of integrity there is no reason to change your name . That of course unless you choose to go in another direction career wise.

I've seen blogs done by providers in the past. They're often pretty interesting, although obviously that depends on the person doing it. They seem a lot less common now because they've been replaced by things like Twitter. Only thing I'd say on this is: if you do it, make sure you keep doing it, and if you can't, erase all evidence of it. There's nothing sadder than a link to "my blog" on someone's website, and when you go there it has only a handful of posts and the last was six months ago.

The Halifax scene is a waste of time, and money. The internet has come a full circle. You have less of a chance if being ripped off or robbed if you look for a street walker. At least with a street girl you see the girl for real befor you decide to meet her. This site is useless for giving you information about the local SP scene. Other than Halifax is a rip off. Toronto and Montreal seemed very different. More girls and more helpful reviews. Just save your money and take an occasional trip to Toronto or Montreal guys. If you cant do that then keep an eye out for the occasional street girl and decide if you want her.
